Terrible. I went over a year without stepping foot into this store because of the lack of ability of the staff and cashiers. After 15 minutes standing in line behind one customer, I walked out again today without purchase. I wont be back.

Its honestly gotten worse over the years. They promote discounts off lowest price marked but intentionally cover or remove prices. I dont even understand why continue to call it dirt cheap. Then to make it worse they never have enough employees and the attitude is horrible.

This place is where all damaged, and returned merchandise from retailers end up. Kind of like the island of misfit toys...from the ghetto. Their prices are high when you consider the condition of the store and the condition of most of the selections. Its sort of like it a high priced Goodwill store that was overstocked, and the employees just didnt care about organizing the shelf stock. However, it is fun to mill around. Its sort of like rummaging through your Grandparents junk drawer, and garage.

Tomato cage listed/reticked by the store at $28 original price then offered at 40% discount. Do the math. Buyers be aware of these extreme ticketed markups. They are throughout the store and most of the items are store returns and insurance buyouts.)

A pretty good location. The building is on the smaller side and the lighting is okay (not great), but the manager is the best and they do have good deals compared to other locations.

Store was a mess! Items in torn up boxes; taped up boxes; aisles marked off; credit card machine not working; cash only sales! No return policy is unacceptable; even a 5 day after purchase policy would be something!!

This used to be a real bargain store, but not so much anymore. Theyre getting a little proud of their salvage merch.

This store would be a descent place to go to bc we have spent a lot of money in it but a certain employee has made the shopping experience very very unpleasant for the whole family. You have to wait at least ten minutes to get service if you do get service. Just a very horrible customer service store. Id rather take my money elsewhere than to be harrassed by rude employee.

If you dont mind sifting through overpriced, broken, no warranty items for that one treasure, youll like the place but make sure to use your phone to compare prices for new to decide if its worth the risk. Have fun.

I wouldnt give them a 1 star but I had to. The place is a mess. Most workers are too lazy to assist you. The manager Dee is the worse. She is very rude and does not know how to talk to customers. She has been rude to people I know and also very rude to me on multiple occasions.

The one in Slidell Louisiana on Gause Blvd is just a whole lot of junk. Just alot of broken items and torn clothes. I thought I had found me an exercise machine it was in the box; but when I opened it all pieces where bent and broken. I wont go back there.

Great deals at a very unbelievable price. Theres clothing, shoes, whole comforter sets for your bed, dishes, complete things for your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living and dining room its a shoppers dream store. Theres baby clothing, theres men clothing, just about anything you want its there. The cashier and customer service was very nice and friendly. They help us find items that we could not find, they laugh with us, a joke with us. It was a shoppers dream. Dirt cheap is really something special. Also theres brand name clothing and accessories from Brand stores. I had a great time. Is good when you get quality instead of quantity.

Seems like they get merchandise make their own price tags and discount on those prices accurate or not...

Always a good place to shop for really cheap deals! I purchased 3 videos for 1¢ each & a bag of quality dog food for $5.00!!! This is one of my favorite stores, however, be prepared to dig through stuff.

Talk about rude people and what a terrible little town! Everywhere you went everybody was so hateful and just extremely rude! Its a wonder this little hole in the ground place even exists but I guess thats why its such a tiny hole in wall town. I cant imagine anybody new wants to settle in this hateful, nasty place

Theres a certain charm to the haphazard way items are thrust on the walls. Dirt Cheap doesnt try to cover up what it is. This is where someones trash is your treasure. Ive made a habit of scouring this place for interesting things I might have missed elsewhere. The shelves are ever changing with hidden finds that can really sometimes amaze. The price markdown is just a bonus.

This Slidell location is needing some attention.

The staff was very helpful but sadly the store was in bad shape.

Having never been here before, I asked an employee if the furniture in boxes was complete to include all parts and hardware. I was told every box that comes to them is complete, but customers sometimes open boxes and that causes missing pieces. I chose a box that had never been opened to ensure it would have all the pieces. Got it home, it has no hardware. Emailed the customer support address included inside the box of furniture, provided them with the requested information from the box. They said that piece had been returned to a target store already for having no hardware. Lesson learned.

Dirty cluttered and unorganized. I was disappointed. The ones in Mississippi and Tennessee are much better to visit.

The bathroom is always dirty. The shelves are a mess and the prices for health and beauty are so high. I have gotten great deals on childrens clothes. The adult clothes have some strange styles and very few regular large items. Great clothes for teens and young adults. Books arent dirt cheap . Just have to dig and look for deals on holiday items and toys. Sometimes there are great educational products.

The store is chaos like a Good will but if you take the time to dig in to all the aisles you can really find yourself some good deals.

The lady told me I needed a receipt to exchange an item and I went home and got the receipt and I called back and she said no there’s nothing she can do when previously four hours previously she said that as long as I bring in a receipt it will be fine and she won’t exchange a $14 controller I don’t know why they’re tripping about a $14 controller They sold me a Nintendo remote without a cord and all I wanted was the cord and she made a big ordeal of it

It was our first time here the prices on things are decent however the store is a complete mess and you literally are treasure hunting if youre looking for something specific there is absolutely no organization in the store.

Always a blast to hunt for bargains here. Last year I bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones for $3 and they work really well. No breaks in the signal, long battery life, great sound and no problems being heard on calls. They have some great deals on Halloween costumes right now.

Its a great place if you have some time to find what you need or want. Great bargains. They have a no return policy. So be sure you thoroughly check the item for flaws. They will let you plug in electronics to see if it works.

Surprisingly, I dont like this one as much as the Bay and Gulfport stores. They dont really do anything aversive, I just dont seem to have luck finding stuff I want to purchase at this location.

Shopping at Fort Cheap is an experience. Its a great place to explore if you like digging through random goods.Found some great protein snacks that are manufactured in the UK. Way good!Can always find a bargin.

It is a great place for shoppers to try their lucks. I found some nice tiles there the other day with a very reasonable price. They dont have things last long so please make sure to get them if you really like them.

Not as dirt cheap as the name suggests but the help is wonderful counter staff very attentive

I actually despise this Dirt Cheap. The aisle are never clean or clear, the racks are always a mess, and the selection is often miss instead of hit or miss. They do offer a $10 dollar buggy which is filled with junk items. Think of it as a grab basket. You get the entire basket for $10, but you never know what is in it. And be warned, if you need to use the restroom, hold it.The last time I went, some Yahoo squirted toothpaste on a bathroom sink I was considering. I didnt notice that I touched said toothpaste until I rubbed my eyelid. I went to the restroom to wash it out. When I got into the restroom, it looked and smelled so badly, that I preferred the stinging to stay in my eye.

A lot of the merchandise here is overpriced and most likely not working broken missing pieces trash you can find some great buys if you have time to really look the store is just a little more organized than it was at one point but I stare away from anything that has to be assemble because you never know what youre going to get and theres no returns i once purchased a toaster oven the box was nice and sealed as though it was new didnt have time to check it because it was right before store closingi get out to my car and decided to remove it from the box and lo and behold it was filthy and Rusty i was allowed to go back into the store and they did refund my money i understand that its as is but to put things thats unsalable out is ridiculous

I enjoyed the adventure but the store is a little messy. Thats because everyone is able to open boxes and stuff is everywhere. Which is something I believe they shouldnt let the people do. Other than that I was very happy with the price I paid for four chairs. They are made of wood and have a seat made out of material. But the price was right.

Our vehicle has a mind of its own whenever we are near any of the Dirt Cheap stores and set the GPS to them..ha ha ha..We love each and every one of these stores, but you must be patient sometimes and be willing to stroll the isles in search of... Thats just it, you never know, but you will find something normally at a greatly reduced price...even if you didnt need it

Its definitely not organized and most of the time you have to search through many items to find what you want. Also you have to check prices at the register because people move stuff all over the place. The staff is always courteous though.

This location is Horrible and dirty. Its not been there long but each visit it seems to go down hill. I definitely recommend the location in picayue. Much cleaner and more organized.

I wouldnt even put a one star but had to in order to say something. The hiring manager needs fired. She has told 2 people that I know of that they were hired knew these people were giving notice to other job and then never started working them. They have up a job for nothing. Bills to pay Right before Christmas. Total disgrace !!!! No way of being a professional.

Since the beginning of dirt cheap I have always been a huge fan. They have some really great stuff for super low prices. You definitely need to go in with some time to blow. Take your time to look at everything, you never know what youll find!

When dirt cheap opened in Slidell, I was addicted from the first day I walked in. I would go everyday after work just to see if there were any buggy bargains. I have gotten SO much good stuff when buying the wrapped buggies. My daughters got sick of me giving them stuff. Washclothes for life!Love Dirt Cheap!!!!

So Ive gone to more Dirt Cheap stores in the South and most stores are pretty big. This location is pretty small. I understand its a small town but more room would definitely benefit the Slidell residents. The store is overall clean to what you expect from a Dirt Cheap store and staff is friendly and helpful when needed. The floors and general overall cleanliness does need a little picking up to move into a 4 star for me.

I love our slidell location. I travel to all of them from Louisiana too Mississippi. The Staff is always willing to help. Hopefully each store gets an remodeling You need more racks for the clothes so theyre not so bunched together . Other than that this store rocks! #MomOnABudget

Always a good place to find what you need or just want to dig for a berried treasure. I shop at a lot of there location and some are bad, and others like this one are great. Just have to go every other week to let them get more stock in or wait when stuff is 70 to 90 percent off.

This store needs better employees and to be cleaned. I understand its a dirt cheap but there is no reason for it to be as dirty dusty and disorganized like it is. The employees walking the floor are nice and helpful. The woman who checked me out though was incredibly rude. Waited forever while she chatted and took her time to ring up someone she knew but as soon as my family walked up that completely changed. Horrible attitude.

Definitely a great place to potentially find low priced items. Store is about as organized as expected. Worth a trip every few months to see whats available.

Most products I had interest in, were missing parts, soiled or no price on it.... And NO HELP... One of the most unorganized places I have ever been. 80% looked like broken junk. You can never know the prices till you are at the cash register. I have been there before and found that treasure. Not this time. All I got was a headache and a need to just get out of there.

I thought that this one might be different, but for me I am turned off by the two terms dirt and cheap. If its dirty I dont want it, and if its cheap its probably worthless. Maybe the name could be Hoarders Haven. I havent found anything useful lately, as I am not a frequent shopper of this place.

If you like scrounging through pikes of junk this is your place. First, the store is nasty. It looks as if they havent swept or mopped, ever. Then, nothing is sorted so it is all mixed together. Finally, you really dont know what you are paying until you get to the front because the same stuff is under several different sale prices. I had to go home and take a shower.

I love Dirt Cheap. Especially good if you like Target brand stuff. This location is a hot mess though. Last time I went, half the lights were off, at least 4 aisles were roped off with caution tape. The aisles that were open were difficult to even look through. There is a newer one in Houma thats better.

Busted up merchandise marked with amazing deal discounts, but so much of it can be purchased brand new from Amazon for the same cost and in better condition. Store is amazingly unorganized and unclean.

Always find great deals here and the staff is super friendly. Id give it 5 stars if the place was cleaner and the staff seemed a bit more attentive but you cant really expect more from a place called Dirt Cheap and the area of town its in at that.

Dirt cheap is the best. I purchased 9 outfits for 67$. They have a large assortment of gadgets. The workers are friendly and check out is fast. I will return soon!!👍👍

For the most part the clerks and the manager can be helpful. There are a few miserable clerks that come and go with the exception of one assistant or wanna be manager (woman ) I don’t have a name . She won’t let people buy anything the buggy’s are full at her register. People walk out empty handed.This woman probably needs her job At least she’s working unfortunately at Dirt Cheap. ☹️

The finds I found here were great...one down fall is some things are not cheaper than other places I found them.

Smaller Dirt Cheap. Hit or miss at this one. Sometimes had a good selection of goods with great markdowns. Most of the time it has a fair to poor selection of goods not marked down enough. Its worth a try.
