I love going to the homeland stores. They are consistent. I always get a fried pie!
A great place to shop at in terms of food. But a great place all in all
Great people, very helpful, I love going to grocery stores that actually have cashiers.
I liked it, not as crowded as other stores on payday. Nice parking lot in better condition than most near here. Milk prices IMO are high and near 2x what milk costs in Idaho but its high in other stores here as well so maybe not the stores fault.
Slightly more expensive prices than other stores in the area. Just enough selection to make it worth the trip versus larger stores. Lines move quickly and service is fine.
Nice quiet store. Employees are friendly and very helpful. Nice produce section. Just like all grocery stores, the prices are higher on some things and not bad on others. They have a rewards card that saves some money.
They are very customer oriented. My husband and i left a bag of griceries in the basket cause it was pouring down rain didnt even know it was missing till we got home. Took iur reciet down the next day and they replaced it.
The employees are very nicev.Thry will helping you with getting your groceries groceries in your car. Robert was the one who helped us.
Good sales, nice produce section, clean
Im so happy!! They have their salt water taffy back! My daughter and I loaded up on all our favorite flavors. Yum!!!
Had a problem with being over charged. Manager was at lunch so i went back after lunch and he was there but didnt have time to talk to me. Woman in the office was rude to say the least, place need a manager. Wont be going back.
Milk short dated eggs short dated and prices triple any other store in town
They have great fryed chicken
Find everything i need, really nice people
Homeland on Harrison in Shawnee sold a very poor Ham Christmas dinner. They used powdered instant potatoes, but the advertisement said twice baked. The advertisement listed 1 pound of cranberry relish, they sold me a can dropped into a deli bowl. Not even taking the time to remove the lines from the can.1 pound of giblet gravy, nope again a can pored into a deli bowl. I have purchased these dinners for years. This is by far the worst experience. If you run out of items be honest and say so. Replace them with a quality product. If I wanted an off the shelf dinner, I would not have visited the deli. You should be ashamed that you do not value your customers or the homeland reputation.
The cashiers are rude and it too expensive and I wont be going back there the one on Harrison
Rude. Don’t know if this store is prejudiced or what, but every time I go here the environment is so uncomfortable and the employees up front are always rude.
Nice people high prices
Very clean store and polite employees.
Homeland is a nice clean store. They always have fresh vegetables & meat. The coupons always help, up to $0.50 they double! I just love to shop at Homeland! They have great sales, sometimes buy 2 get 3 free! If you dont buy your groceries there, check it out! Theres one on Kickapoo and one on Harrison in Shawnee.
Prices were high. Cashier didnt even acknowledged us. Wont be back again
Hate that I had to learn a new machine to do checks but wonderful every time...lol
Staff is always friendly and the store is always clean and stocked.
Lots of variety, but slightly higher than several other grocery stores in Shawnee. Love the icing on their cakes. Looking for canned tamales today, but Homeland didnt have them.
Good food and if you have a Homeland card you get great prices too
GREAT PLACE TO SHOP WITH SOME DECENT PRICES!!
This is one of the stores I frequent ... Tryed to apply for a job but never got called in
Prices keep raising, quality of products are going downhill
Service was friendly and fast and dont get followed around
I was struggling today with my back hurting badly, by the time I made it to check out, the cashier seen me struggling and came over and put my groceries on the counter, and put the groceries in my basket. I didnt catch her name, but Thank you for helping me, she was so nice.
I like to get my groseries here but last times it take forever to check out they need more cashiers 🤔
Fresh fruit and bakery
Its expensive and they could use more variety but Id still rather go here than walmart!
They dont have much for GF products. Very disappointed
For a homeland this one has great prices. Way more affordable than the Norman stores! The selection is great! Wide variety of each thing. Very impressed.
I enjoy shopping here nice cashier and helpful employees....the produce is very fresh....
Not very busy but sup had to wait
Do not use the online pick up worst experience ever. I placed order started receiving texts that they were replacing items but wouldnt give you enough time to agree or disagree. Next thing you know order is placed with items you dont even want. No worry I guess Ill just take it well get to the store notify them on app Im there for pickup wait 30 minutes call and manager is rude says someone will be out and hangs up on you. No one comes then I get a text saying they are too busy I need to come in to pick up my groceries. So why did I pay extra for this service. I go in only to find out items are wrong. Management tells me nothing they can do about it. They cant exchange or refund. They say I have to call the online Company I ordered through. What this is a joke. Well to top it off when you call the company it is a 59 minute wait well as I write this i have been on hold waiting for over 2 hours. I am so frustrated. Why would Homeland have such a service. Who ever heard of not being able to get a refund on your order. I already knew going into this I was going to pay a whole lot more then if I went to Wal-mart but thought it would be worth it. DO NOT USE THE ONLINE ORDERING SERVICE HORRIBLE!!!
Im a regular customer.
Kinda dirty inside.
Friendly place, had everything inIin stock came in for. But some of the clerks were not wearing mask. Then when I had a question about the card reader he came around and leaned in by me just a couple feet or so away and spoke. My face covering was helping to protect him, but what he did didnt help protect me. 🙄. Hopefully all clerks are wearing mask next time.
Homeland is a great grocery . Always clean, have about everything you need. Prices are fair.
Homeland is an enjoyable place to shop. The store has wide aisles and is clean and brightly lit. There are both carts and baskets near the front door. There are usually sales bills hanging at the end of the front aisles. They offer a great variety of foods. The staff are pleasant and courteous.
Just not a homeland fan
Prices are too high. Advertised items from Wednesday newspaper were unavailable and this is Thursday. One employee did speak to me but I was familiar from his school. I will try to avoid stops and other grocery stores are more convenient to me.
Consistently slow to call more cashiers to the front when needed. Other than that, Id much rather spend money here than that ole Wally place.
Dont ask them to order anything in for you, after the third time they promised, we gave up.
Fine
Way.. Waaaaaay too pricey. If youre shopping here its for one of three reasons: 1) You simply dont know any better. 2) You need a write off on taxes. 3) You just hate having money. Its right next to the movie theater so if you need an excuse to tell your kids you cant afford to take them to see Star Wars, feel free to buy your groceries here.
Great customer service, very friendly even when asking you to wear a mask
Had everything I needed
The bakery staff were very helpful with a birthday cake and its a clean store in a safe area.
Busiest Homeland I have seen in at least 20 years, they must be doing something right. Facility was clean and the shelves were well stocked.
No customer service. Prices are not marked clearly. The staff acts like they are doing the customer a favor for being at work. That will be the last place I go back to when needing home supplies.
Awesome staff
Homeland is clean and keep good produce, meat and dairy products.
They stock delicata squash, which isnt easy to find! Thanks for that!!! Clean and people are friendly.
Homeland is expensive! But they have great Items
For the most part, staff is friendly and the store is clean. I like that the checkers now have the ability to bag groceries while checking. It beats the guy who used to do it, Robert maybe, who would just push your full cart to you without even asking to help. The produce is kept nicely. Im not a fan of the deli and have seen raw chicken sitting where they slice fresh lunch meat. I question the sanity and cross contamination so simply pass this area totally.
Get the card, you will need it.
Homeland is my go place. They have some excellent sales. If you take advantage of them you wont need to go back as often. I like going there because its easy to get in and out.
“Janessa” the cashier told me if I don’t like her not wearing her mask I can bag my own groceries...
ATM doesnt charge me
More organic products would be nice. Store is clean and well organized
Bills can be paid there but unless you have a rewards card you pay more than other stores
Good quick place and not as crowded.
Very pleasant easy shopping. No lines
Great staff
Not very good
Usually a quick in and out. Produce and meats always look fresh.
Far too overpriced for lower quality items
Never too busy. Most grocery items available. Limitedproduce. Not much on truly wholesome healthy choices ie whole grain etc
Ok the store Kickapoo is closer
It was clean. The vegetables were very nice and good variety. All of the vegetable bag holders were full. They had what I was looking for.
I went in there to get some Marie Calendars big pot pies & there they were. They are a quick & delicious meal.
They have better stuff in the delis in the one on Kickapoo even though I live closer to the one on Kickapoo this one is on my way to work so I stopped in there.
Ive been shopping at Homeland for years. I find the employees to be very helpful and friendly. The store is always clean and neat.
Ok
Several times a year order chicken for family gatherings they have great chicken
Nice clean store. Employees are nice and helpful. Plus it has a lot to choose from. Produce, bakery, flowers, and of course all you food item needs..
I pay bill and shop for food there
I went to Maple Garden Chinese restaurant. It is Superb Friendly! Just stuck in a corner. I went this time for shrimp eggroll and egg drop soup! Good meal $ 5.10 for 2 eggrolls and pint of egg drop soup! They have a wall board showing what the food looks like..I will be trying something new next time!
Expensive, bad quality of meat no one to help find things
Our visit to homeland was wonderful. They are having their buy 2 get 3 free sale going on and i love it.
Way better than Wal Mart for groceries.
Great Place to pick up money orders, they are cheaper than the bank.very nice people work here to make your day special.
I prefer the other store. This one doesnt have a great selection. The employees are not very friendly. The young ones are too busy talking to each other and worrying about everything else to be friendly. I will be going to the Independence location from now on.
Has what I need . Prices are high
The staff is a mixed bag. Some are wonderful, but some are rude and suspicious. One cashier in particular just stares at you then barks I need your Homeland card! when you look at him. The grey-haired manager followed me around, tried to surreptitiously peer into my diaper bag, and offered me assistance no less than three times. I used to manage a grocery store myself, and I know what he was doing. He was profiling me, trying to make me feel watched so I would be too spooked to shoplift. Other than having an unusual haircut and dressing more fashion forward than theyre used to in Shawnee, there was no reason to hound me like that. The deli clerks are hit and miss, too. One lady is super sweet, quick, and helpful, even offering my daughter a cookie. Another clerk, however, did not know what a quarter pound was in decimals. I had to tell her .25 twice. Its fine if math is not your strong suit, but they should perhaps hang up a handy chart to convert common fractions if they staff the slicing counter with those who dont know fractions and their decimal equivalents. The same clerk also was asked to slice my order thin, but not shaved, and then held up a slice for me to approve. It was so thin I could see through it, but when I opened my package at home, it was sliced thicker than the crackers I put it on. Im not sure how she managed to mess that up, as she would have had to reset the slicer to go from thin to thick. If youre used to grocery stores in larger cities with more variety, Homeland can be a shock. There are a number of things I would take for granted that you can find at any -regular- grocery store in places like Dallas, that you simply cannot find at Homeland. Certain items that are considered specialty items here I suppose are much more expensive, like Amys frozen meals, hummus, and so on. Hormel vegetarian chili is not to be found, neither are simple things liked pre-chopped prunes. Homeland has good deals on produce and dairy, but frozen foods are generally more expensive.Their fuel discounts make shopping there worth it, as does their mostly friendly staff, fresh baked goods, and good sales.
Had a good experience with homeland
Not much meat out to choose from
Excellent staff, polite and very professional, the store is clean
👍 Great People 👍 Great Place GOD BLESS⛪💒⛪😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great clean store and friendly clerks
Good service, terrible prices
Nice little store, but didnt have as much of a selection as the one I usually go to on the other side of town.
Easy in and out
Very helpful with church event for community
I can find items here that other stores dont hav .
There prices are reasonable.. The store is clean n the service is excellent
