I have been a frequent client of the Tires Plus on Long Ave. in Shawnee. Actually, I have used them exclusively for 2.5 years... and let me tell you, the quality of work and especially the customer service has gone downhill.In less than a year: I found a long wrench wedged in my engine making an awful noise; my oil has leaked after a change; and now, twice in a row, my 2016 car has had two wheel studs break. For the name of the business being tire oriented, these techs seem to have no idea how to properly torque and tighten. I am beyond upset considering the rest of my car is now likely in danger of having issues in the near future. The worst part is how their staff treated me - specifically Quentin. He was arrogant and backtracked on things he originally said to me. When he informed me that two studs broke, he asked where I last had my tires rotated (which was there) and he replied uh oh. Then 20 minutes later, he claimed this was definitely not their fault (even though they were comping it?). He also lied to me and said his manager was there speaking to another customer, when 20 mins later, he said he was not in today. They need more competent staff & techs, and need to learn how to treat customers better.Overall - I will never come to any Tires Plus location EVER again. My entire family has also had enough of these issues in the past year or two that they also will never give them another dime. Say what you will about getting routine maintenance done at shops like this - they cant even do tire rotations properly.

The Asst Mgr tried to take advantage of me. They attempted to mark up parts more than 100%. The actual manager was terrific. Buyer beware.

I wasn’t lucky at all. I was politely treated got two tires that weren’t that cheap but I accepted. That’s what they had I was said. I marked the tires I wanted replaced and explained that it was because I had wrong tires taken out in the past( not at this store). They understood my concern and were going to do it right. They didn’t. They replaced the wrong one (one of them). I didn’t get upset but disappointed is the right word. The one and half hours wait turns 3 for correction of that mistake and it didn’t finish exactly as I expected. I m on the other hand feel sorry for seeing just two guys busy working as attending and on cars. I d suggest a car diagram where customer signal the tires to be replaced.It was good to see that most reviewers were positive maybe it was just bad luck

They worked me in late morning & had 2 new tires with alignment, in no time at all. Be back for 2 more by Halloween.

Came in on a last minute deal with some heavy sludge that needed a flush asap. They had a really busy day and the one guy said sure. Cost and time was what I expected. Have also had tires down here in past and a friend has had work done here too. Clean showroom and bathroom. They are like any other, do what they do and if they cant help because of something valid, dont get angry.

Very friendly & very good customer service. They went out of their way to see I got the best deal possible. Doing a overall check of car & putting on two new tires did not take too long. I am pleased.

On Sunday evening of 9.14.2020, I found out I had flat tire. So the next day, I called this Tire Plus store if they are able to schedule me in anytime during the day. They were able to schedule me at 2pm and I was very very happy. They also told me that since I bought my tires with them last year, I still have warranty on my tires, and I only had to pay a discounted rate on a new tire. I was very happy with the service. This is now my favorite place to go for all my auto needs. I just love that they were able to help me right away. More than five stars for me.

This tires plus location at Shawnee mission and Long provides excellent service, and is not as busy as others in Kansas City - probably because They sit behind another building and their sign is not easy to spot from Shawnee mission parkway. Many times they were available for my tire service within an hour of when I called.

I needed to get my tire repaired but they were unable to do so but what they were able to do was get me 2 new tires for the price of 1. The guys also gave wonderful customer service. I was also in the market for a new mechanic and looks like I have found one.Thanks Fellas...

After my husband passed if I needed air in my tires I would go there and they were always so very nice about it. I replaced my tires there and again everyone has always been very nice. Just had my oil changed and they found a few things I need to have done and told me about them so I’ll be taking it back for those things. Again always very nice and accommodating!

Making an appointment was a breeze and the work I asked to have done was finished before the days end. With that being said there were problems. One issue I had was the lack of communication. I gave them two numbers (working and in service mind you) to call to let me know what work had to be done. I had to end up calling them due to the lack of information on the actual problem with my vehicle. I was also charged some interesting amounts on simple tasks. For instance; they charged me 20 dollars for brake fluid and 60 dollars to bleed the brakes🤔. Brake fluid is not 20 dollars and bleeding the brakes takes no real effort its literally a 3 minute process unless your replacing the master cylinder. On top of some questionable charges for some reason they gave me the vehicle back with my air hoses unhooked. This caused my car to run ruff and idle wildly. I pulled over and fixed the problem myself once I figured out what they did wrong. This place is only good for alignments and tires. My recommendation is take your car to a trustworthy mechanic not this one. Sorry tires plus you guys dropped the ball...

Had an appointment at 11 to get 4 tires mounted and balanced that were verified in stock the day before. I showed up at 10:50. Truck pulled in at 11:12 and I left at 1:10. Sat in the lobby the entire time, never had a courtesy check, no explanation of what was taking so long and wasn’t asked about my experience while paying my bill. I’m ASE certified and have been around light and heavy duty vehicles my entire life and this is not a place I would recommend.

I went in on Sunday because I had a nail in my tire. They were too busy to fix it but offered to put some air in and made me an appointment for Monday. My tire was fixed in a very short time and has a lifetime warranty on the patch. Waiting area was clean and has a TV. Customer service was outstanding. When I paid I also had an opportunity to donate to the Boys and Girls club!! I highly recommend this location.

The service manager, Nate, was very professional solving a minor issue with inventory. He went above and beyond to make the customer satisfied with the product. I would highly recommend utilizing this tire location as the service was superb!

Great customer service at this Tires Plus. Ran over a nail and pulled in 10 minutes before the store closed. Julian took care of us and pulled our car in and told us they’d have the car fixed first thing in the morning. He called us to update us on the car and how much it would cost later that evening. The next day we were ready to go for our drive back to St. Louis. Julian and Trevon were both very professional and went out of their way to get us on the road quickly and safely.

Don’t waste your hard earned dollars with these guys. I brought my car in to check out one of my tires because it was losing air. It took them 2 hours to look at it. They called me back and said it couldn’t be repaired. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to discount tires and they said it’s absolutely repairable and they even did it for free within 20 minutes of showing up.

My lady took her car in due to an emergency flat repair. After taking to these guys, were called and told tire couldnt be repaired, we need a replacement. They also suggested we get 2 tires instead of one. That was Mon 1/28.By Fri 2/1, we COINCIDENTALLY had a 2nd completely flat tire..I suspect a bit of unethical play as we bought all 4 of these tires at the same time about 2 years ago. I will get a second opinion from another place..

If I can give negative number, I would definitely do so! This place is very unprofessional, my sister had an appointment at noon, comes 2:45 the car still not done. They called to say it will be done at 3:30. So I drop my sister off 10mins before they said it would be done. About 15 minutes I got a call from my sister saying she needs to be pick up since they will not be done for another 1.5 hours. Unless you have time to waste, nothing to do and like being liar to I would suggest you find a different place for your care.

They forgot to order 2 extra tires for a total of 4 after one week notice, but quickly shipped them in during the day. In and out within 40 minutes. They resolved the issue quickly and made me feel like they really appreciated my business. I feel like I received a great deal after comparing prices elsewhere on this particular tire. Great!!!

So far so good. Got me out in an hour and a half. I showed up with an emergency, broken lug nut with a flat tire change. Got towed in. Knew I needed tires and got a good deal. Also knew it was time for a serpentine belt which they noticed and got a good deal on that also. Friendly, courteous, and professional.

The staff were very pleasant, willing to schedule the repairs well in advance.

To say that I am impressed with the speed this situation was handled and responded to would be the understatement of the year. In light of how most corporations and local businesses handle customer concerns, ignoring them and hopping they go away or waiting to see how many attorney letter heads they get before they take action.Scott, Nathan, Kevin, Shawn (technician) and others that have come and gone, I feel that there is not a place that I could take my cars and be any more comfortable that the repair was going to be made satisfactorily.

Everyone so nice and caring. Now have been here twice to get work done. You get in on time of your appointment. They try to get you out as quickly as possible. Will make this location my regular shop.

Brought a leaking tire in for repair. They would not repair a tire manufactured more than 5 years ago. It is company policy so they can sell more tires. That is the last time I use Tires Plus

I used to recommend this place on their good prices and honesty, but after three bad experiences, Ill be searching for a new shop.1. I had a leaking half shaft (front, right) and had it replaced here. A year and change later, I saw oil on the inside of the front right wheel and took it back in. They told me the half shaft needed to be replaced and quoted me full price for it until I reminded then that they replaced it less than two years ago and it should be warrantied. They comped the part, but still charged me labor.2. I had a coolant leak. A small puddle under my car after a few hours and I was topping off the coolant every two to three weeks. I took my car in to locate the leak and they told me coolant doesnt appear to be leaking, but recommended I replace my entire rack and pinion because it was leaking (a $1100 repair). I declined and did some research--and continued to top off coolant. I also checked my power steering fluid, and would you believe it was still full!? I later asked them to replace my water pump (less than $300) as I expected this to be the coolant culprit; no more drips under my car and I havent had to add coolant in over 6 months.3. Finally, I asked them to diagnose and ABS issue that I had suspected was wheel hub bearings. So they told me it was the right wheel bearing (they already replaced the left one a year and a half earlier). I continued to have issues and developed a unpleasant groaning from the front right also with the ABS issue. So I took it in a again and they told me it was the left one wheel hub bearing (Not the right one they replaced 2 months ago that is still under full warranty). Then they attempted to charge me full price on it until I again had to remind them they already replaced this one and at least the part cost should still be warrantied. This was yesterday and on my way to work today, the groaning and ABS issue continued.

Very knowledgeable and werent pushy like a lot of other places can be. Got me in and out in the time they said it would take.

Let me tell you I’ve been coming her for 4 straight years for my oil changes and multiple tires.Nate is the only guy that doesn’t see dollar signs on his customers. Today I had these guys run a diagnostic on my car, it was 10.99.. He tried to charge me 120+ to change the fuse that was messed up. Then when I told him no he hung up then called me 10 minutes later and told me my “oil bolt was re-threaded” by whoever did it last time it got changed and once I told him they were the last people who did it he started tripping over his own words.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The customer service at this location cannot be beat. We were loaded and ready to hit the road for a 6 hour drive (3 kids + 2 dogs), when I noticed a bubble on the side of our tire. With only 20 minutes until the shop closed, they encouraged me to get in and change my tire. Not only did they replace the tire, but swapped the location of the new one to avoid the car pulling to one side. They truly saved the day, I cant say enough good things. Thank you!

They lie and will steal from you. My mother took her car in with a fixable flat tire. They tired to convince her to buy 4 new tires. Unfortunately for them I have half of a brain. Needless to say we took the tire to Tire Town and its fixed. Dont waste your time or money here.

We had an appointment for an oil change and alignment and called after an hour and was told the car was almost ready to be picked up. Well we are at 3 hours and counting and the car was even taken out of the garage and parked only to be taken back in because they messed up. I understand being busy, but dont say a car is almost done and then make your customers come back only to have to wait for another hour plus.

Quality customer service for the industry. The crew can typically accommodate your schedule. Have even been advised to not purchase tires quite yet, when I was sure they needed replacing.

These gentlemen are LIFE SAVERS! Im not from KS, and I dont know many people, let alone one to ask for assistance. Not only did they provide a tow service to come and get my vehicle, but they advised me of everything that was wrong along with their recommendations. Tires Plus allowed me to place the tow on my credit card with them for a one stop shop bill. Also, I had no way to pick up my vehicle and they were gracious enough to provide that for me as well! I will ALWAYS AND ONLY trust this company with my vehicle. I contacted two other Tires Plus stores prior to getting the referral to this store, and everyone I dealt with was a pleasure during this VERY difficult time. God answers prayers!!! Ive been there twice in the past few months. The first time was for them to do some work because of an accident, and then do the alignment. They did the work, but forgot to tell me that my vehicle was finished for an hour. As I left i realized that they had not fixed the alignment, and had to take it back. It took another 30 minutes. For the trouble they gave me a card for a free oil change which I thought was nice of them. I returned to get the oil change and flat repair a month later, and the work went slow. They said itd take an hour, but it took a little over an hour and a half. The worst part though is that the tire patch didnt hold for 24 hours, and Im having to take care of it the second time in two days. The service there is polite, but it seems to me that internally there may be some problems. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Needed tire repair. Called late morning. Got afternoon appointment. Arrived at the appointed time. Repair done within 30 minutes. Great job.

Came in because I had a nail in my tire and was the only place with availability to check it the same morning. After an hour I was told it was unrepairable, and that I needed to purchase 2 new tires. I told them I needed to make a call first, and after returning a manager told me they were going to double check the inspection. Manager never came back, but the original clerk did and just told me to sign a receipt – without any explanation... I had to ask what was going on, and learned that the nail never punctured my tire, so it was fine to drive away. Without a doubt felt like they were trying to rip me off. Glad the manager stepped in.

Nate was very courteous. Fit a new tire for us at the very end of his day even though he easily could have asked us to come back tomorrow.

They gave me an estimate that would grossly overcharged me on hours for the job, and also in parts. They had my truck for a day and a half, to fix 1 tire, do a alignment and rotate the tires because they thought my tire was a different size than it is and had to order a different one... and then left my doors unlocked and trash on my drivers seat.

Told me they could do my alignment after asking them multiple times if they could...Then they call me back after I dropped it off and left saying they didnt have the special tools to align a rangeroverSorrys not quite good enough when you waste a half day and another persons time to follow you to drop off for workNot to mention that by the time they let me know theres no time to get it in anywhere elsePiss Poor customer service

Having used this location for decades with numorous cars, was surpirsed at the lack of cutomer serivice and rudeness today. Last week with truck running fine, bought 4 tires and had an oil change. Drove short distance home and noticed engine was a bit rough. Truck sat until today and when I left my driveway engine light came on. Immidiately drove to tires plus where I did not hear, sorry to hear that and we would be glad to check our work and if we did anything we will let you know and if not we will let you know what may be the issue and cost to fix. Instead I heard, we do not have time to look at and will cost you $100 for us to look when we have time!!!!!!!! Unbelievable in this day and age that a long standing customer can be treated so poorly. I will be telling all my friends and associates to never use this shoddy outfit again as there are lots of other competitors wanting our business no doubt.

I needed them to patch a few tires and they did that no problem. I bought tires from Tires-easy and needed them installed but they said they dont mount outside tires. Sad.

We just needed a spare tire put on the back of the jeep. It took almost an hour and we had an appointment.

Ive been going to Tires Plus for more than 10 years because they are trustworthy, do a great job and always help you get a good deal by finding the best coupon and discount. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Can’t trust tires plus corporation anymore. Have been using tires plus for years but now they are making some very questionable and unethical changes. I called up to schedule my routine conventional oil change recently, and was advised that they can no longer use conventional oil in Toyotas model year 2011 or later, that I would be required to change to full synthetic. Called and spoke to the store manager who urged me to call Toyota as this is where they were receiving their direction. So I did that. Toyota completely discredited that lie, and could find no supporting documentation or service memos regarding that change. Called the store manager back and advised him of what Toyota had said, and then he backtracked and said they were actually receiving their direction from a Pennzoil website. Conflict of interest? Sounds to me like they’re just trying to move the more expensive oil and pass it off as a manufacturer decision, when it clearly is not.

Always get an honest, expert opinion at this place. Really appreciate it when I dont feel like Im being sold something I dont need

Told us a price that we paid when we scheduled, told us we needed to pay more when it was time to pick up! Nick was the one who we were dealing with for our full set new tires. Left us with a tire not on the spare because we wouldnt pay more since he changed his mind.

On 02/04/17 hado a oil change done which cost me 100 dollars which Im OK with, but on 04/05/17 my engine check light come on and my oil pressure gage start flashing I check my dipstick NO oil on it so I put 2 qts in it + a 3th one late on because the oil pressure gage is still flashing the next day I take it to the deal thinking I must have a oil leak some where but I couldnt found anything so Im not sure if the ever put any enough oil back in my car. So between them try to sell me a road hazard on on tires that were still under warranty and already had road hazard on them ( good thing I had my receipt ) I will NEVER go back to them and they will NEVER do work on my car again!!!!!!!

Decided to use this location for my routine tire rotation. Called and said I could have this completed in 3-4 hours (before close). I hurried there and had someone meet me there to give me a ride only to be informed that was not possible, it would not be done till the following day.

I really wish I had read the earlier reviews about poor ratings at this location. I had the worst experience ever at this location. I would never ever go to Tire Plus. I would better off paying 50 bucks for to my dealer to get peace of mind service. Here is my experience:1) First, I had to wait close to 2 hours for oil change and fixing a flat tire. The actual work took just 30 mins but I had to wait for 1.5 hours. They did not told me that but conveyed in the fashion that it is a big job and will take 2 hours to do it.2) I had full synthetic oil change and flat tire repair. While leaving that day I asked have they topped off all the fluids and Scott the guy who works there said Yes. I then asked about what was wrong with my flat tire. Scott said, there was a nail and they fixed my tire. I then asked about can they show me the nail and Scott said, he doesnt know where it is. I did not like the answer as I really felt that they must be ripping me off.Guess what happened the next day? The tire they fixed was flat again. It wasnt even 24 hours. On top of that my car was beeping with low coolant indicator. I called them up and Scott answered the phone. After talking to Scott he mentioned to me, they dont top off Coolant. I told him why was I not told when I asked about did you top off all the fluids? If I go to Jiffy Lube or other mom and pop shop they would tell me specifically whats been topped off and what they cant do. I also told him about the tire you guys fixed is flat again. Scott agreed he would returned the money back. I called Valvoline which is couple of blocks east on Shawnee Mission Parkway. They said, they always tell customers about details about what oil change really covers and whats not that way customers are well aware of any additional out of pocket fluid costs. If I had taken my car for oil change to my dealer at least I am 100% sure that they would have topped off all the fluids and probably would have cost same or little more but at least I dont have to worry about any fluid level missing.The AAA guy who helped me change my tire showed to me the original repair which Tire Plus did is poor job and he warned me not to go to any Tire Plus as he heard lots of complains about people having bad experiences with Tire Plus, NTB.3) So, the following day I went to the shop and met Scott. He said he never agreed to returned the money back. I mentioned to him why would I come again to the same place if he had not mentioned to me about returning the whole money back for poor job they did.Tire Plus, you just lost me as a customer. I would rather pay 50 bucks more to the dealer to do my oil change and tire fix to have good peace of mind.My advice to other people here is you might want to check and see what oil change really means and what fluids they fop off. Because you may end up spending same or may be little less money with lot of hassle by going to this people. I would rather advice other people to go somewhere else and have better peace of mind and good experience.

Real bad experience for oil change. After service about 1 week, I saw the oil sport on the ground in my car garage. Engine oil started leaking. Will NEVER go to them any more. Not a single chance to give them to touch my car.

Had a rotation and alignment done came with a free courtesy check. They found all sorts of problems with my car. They told me every problem I had with my car but failed to tell me I was missing a bolt on my brake caliper. Won’t ever go back to this place again
