I was able to get in the same day I called and prices were as good or better than most garages. Melissa the service writer was great and gave excellent customer service and she made good recommendations to prepare my car for winter. I will be back for my next oil change and tires when needed.

I recently needed my tire checked in my work van (Transit 250) the 2 guys working there had super good work ethics. I was in and out of there in about 45 minutes, super happy with the service. Keep up the good work guys.

We had picked up a nail in our tire and was losing pressure fast. We were towing a trailer full of Gravel and crossed our fingers and pulled in. All I could think of was...man how much am I going to get pressed to buy more than I could afford.With less than an hour to closing Tim was able to locate a tire that was compatible with our other tires, mount it and then checked our other tires and topped off our trailer tires. No pressure sales just amazing service. Tim explained where the hole was and how it was on the side wall and not repairable. He then explained how the tire we could buy would compatible and work with the other 3 tires that were still newish. Not down talking, just straight facts and honest answers to my questions. What a refreshing experience. Thanks Tim!!! You did us a solid. We will be back when we need the whole set.

I’ve purchased my last 3 sets of tires from Tires Plus. I had a flat, A nice large screw through my tread. I called Tires Plus to get a quote and drop the tire off. $30 to fix a flat! C’mon, I’ve been a customer for 7 years. I called Big O Tires just to see what they would charge. Absolutely nothing! Free! With fantastic customer service as well. I dropped my tire off at noon and said take your time, it’s Labor Day and you guys are busy, I’ll pick it up before close. I received a call 38 minutes later telling me my tire was done. Less than an hour turnaround and no charge! I will be buying all my tires fro Big O from now on.

They try to charge you extra for nothing be aware!I came on Friday to do an alignment, Paul Pieper said they not able to do today, I said I can live car and you can do when will have open time, he said the dont do alignment on Saturdays, I said I can live car until Monday and you can do on Monday. Finaly he said ok.On Monday I got a call from the same guy that alignment is done and I owe them extra $75 for the storage for the three days: Friday -Monday. Can you imagine that? Such a rip off!Storage fee for to have the service done?I gave them the second chance, I brought another vehicle for the alignment and they didnt do it, but Paul Piper was trying to charge me for an inspection that I didnt ask them to do. I said I can pay, but its not right to do business in that way. After that he rudely pooled back his invoice and and told me to find different shop, which I, definitely will do.Thats, probably, why because of such attitude they are almost have no customers. I wouldnt be surprised if after a year or so the will be out of business.People, be aware of such dishonest shops!

Took my truck in to get balanced and checked for leaks. Tim went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anybody. They are friendly, professional, quick and have unbeatable rates

Techs do not know what they are doing. Did not perform proper inspection. Coolant was low and marked coolant on inspection form as ‘good’. Over filled oil during oil change. I should not have to check my oil after an oil change.... don’t trust this shop whatsoever

They made time for me, I called on a Friday and got in on Saturday. They told me I needed tire rods, didn’t believe them until I had my mechanic look at it, they were telling the truth. A lot of places don’t do this, I would recommend them for all the services. I’m glad they have a newer person up front, he is really helpful!

Oil changes are over priced by double what you would usually pay for. They also dont clean any stains they leave on your car like oil and hand prints.

I had a great experience at this Big O Tires location. I was quoted 49.95 for a winter tire swap and was pleasantly surprised when my actual cost came to 22 dollars. I must have been a bit daft in letting the staff know over the phone that the tires and rims I had were already mounted and balanced. This half price surprise was most welcome.I also had a few questions for the technicians who came right out to answer them all and to my satisfaction. They use a torque limited impact driver to apply the lugs and then complete the tightening with an actual torque wrench. Good stuff. As a military vet who did a stint in a military calibration laboratory, I can say that nothing beats a physical torque wrench for accuracy.Nothing but good things to say about this location and I will be back for any and all services they provide for my motor carriage.

I went to Big O tires for an oil change and tire rotation. I was advised they are running 30 minutes behind with no specific reason. I waited it out and got my services completed. The mechanic was nice and explained he was the only person working. I felt sorry for him taking on the whole day by himself and thanked him for hanging in there and being there so I could get my work done. Hopefully they can hire on a full staff soon so they can handle all the customers requests for service. It would of been helpful if the woman running the location would of been upfront with me and other customers saying we are short handed today as we could of better understood what was causing the extra wait time. I had a coupon so it was well worth the wait. Thanks for being open Big O Tires.

First time at Big O Tires and blown away by the service. I had a nail in my tire and with everything going on I wanted it fixed ASAP. I drove up without an appointment. They got my car in right away and provided excellent service.

Woke up as anything other day. Ok went to my truck and to my surprise passenger rear tire flat. So I took off my tire and wheel. Threw into my other vechicle. Forgot to mention tire is 35 and 20s from my truck. As soon as I got into shop. I was greeted properly. He came out and grabbed the wheel. 15 minutes Later done. Clean transaction. Other that putting back on my truck. But will use them again for my tire needs.

I seriously cant say enough great things about our experience here. We were referred to Tony by a friend of ours and were beyond impressed with how thorough and quick he was. He got us in as fast as possible and saved us over $1000 simply because he did a better job than the big name chain we came from. This is the place to go if you want an honest car repair!

Cameron and Tim were both very personable when I was there for an oil change, and a couple hours later, Cameron called because they found a cell phone that was left there, and it turned out to be my sons. My son was very grateful to get his phone back, and I appreciated that Cameron took the time to call people to find out whose it was.

When asked if mechanics could give a jump, when my vehicle died behind their shop,their response was in a hushed whisper We cannot bring our tools outside the shop.Its behind the shop people! Its not a mile away, I get that the shop doesnt have a service vehicle but wow...

Set an appointment online for an oil change at 2pm. Received a confirmation email regarding the time. Arrived at the store and was waiting at the counter at 1:55pm. At 2:05pm I was checked in but was informed they wouldnt be able to service my vehicle until after 3pm because they were backed up. I was expecting a quick turn around but instead I ended up waiting over an hour just to get my car into the garage plus the time to change the oil. Now I understand these things happen but whats the point in having a system to set up appointments if theyre not going to honored?

Worst customer service ever. Walked in and heard the manager yelling at another customer because Big o tires could keep an good inventory and kept trying to make them buy the most expensive tires. Had an apt for for tires and rims. Instead I walked out.

Had Big O mount some winter tires early this winter and just noticed they put one on backwards. You shouldnt have to double check work done by professionals but if you go to Big O you might want to. I would have given a one star review but Andy the manager was super cool about it and got it taken care of.

During a major cold snap my battery not charging message came on in my truck and the truck would not run. After putting in a new battery I brought it over to the Shakopee Big O because I figured the alternator was not working properly and would need to be replaced. Josh and his techs did a free electrical system test and found that it was only the battery and everything else was working fine. Cost out the door $5 for the cup of coffee I bought Josh to say thanks for there honest service.

Unfortunately every time I visit this location there is an issue or “something is wrong with the vehicle which I never get fixed”. Once it was a “frozen caliber” that my mechanic looked at and said was completely fine. However, I needed tires so wound up here. When I purchased the tires I got an oil change and very quickly realized on the way home my air filter cover was not re-attached. This weekend I went to my regular mechanic for the subsequent oil change realized they did not change the gasket last time. Fortunately I did not have to retap my oil pan but did have to buy a new drain plug. Unless you are needing tires, trust the guys down the road at Midas on North Maket St.

Since this company has bought out NTB the quality of the service has declined! I had a recent appt. for an oil change. The appt was at 2pm and my car wasnt brought back until 2:30. While paying for my service, the credit card reader wasnt working properly. I was charged twice. The cashier said I wasnt charged twice when in fact I was. I am currently disputing the extra charge through my bank. Upon leaving the Shakopee, MN location. I noticed there was grease on my passengers seat, my drivers side door, and also the panel of my drivers side door. When I noticed the grease I was already about 10 minutes away at Walmart. I called and had to take my car back to the shop. This was a major inconvenience as I had to be in Minneapolis by 4pm. When returned, Bob was very nonchalant about it. Took his time to go get someone to clean my car. As I was asking him questions, the phone rung and he took the call and left me standing at the desk! I feel this was poor customer service. I feel he could have put the call on hold and made sure my needs were met first. He did not. It was about 10 minutes later, when another employee walked in and asked me how I was doing. He seemed as he may have been a manager. I told him I was frustrated by the events that had taken place. He asked was I being helped and I told him Bob when to go get someone but my needs didnt seem to be a priority. I also let him know of my time schedule. I must also mention, Bob was still on the phone. The other employee immediately went into the shop to get someone to clean my car. My car was cleaned and I left. I was never offered and apology. Bob stayed on the phone, and I wasnt offered any compensation. On top of all that, I find out the next day I was charged twice for the oil change! I immediately called the shop. Bob answered the phone. I told him what happened. He did check into it and called me back only to tell me he only seen I charge and suggested I leave where I was at to show him the double charge. I was not able to do so because I was not close to the shop. Bob said that was the only way he could help me. I then called my bank and filed a claim. I must say, this is the WORST service I have experienced in the years I have bringing my car to that location! I have been driving to that location for about 6 years because of the service. I trusted them with my car. I will now find somewhere else to bring my car to and inform people of the decline of service and professionalism at the Shakopee location!

Brought my truck in for an alignment. After a 2 hour wait, they tried to sell me on some adjustable balljoints inorder to correct my camber/caster issue (pretty costly those adjustable ball joints are). Besides their cost, I had just replaced all my ball joints with Moog about a month prior so replacing them again was out of the question. When they were done they basically chalked it up to : sorry, we did the best we could. and I was charged for the alignment... Now! Fast forward a couple months down the road, come to find out that my camber/caster issue was totally fixable with my upper control arm adjustments...Sneaky sneaky! They pretty much didnt want to break the bolts loose on the upper control arm being that it was an older truck in all... but what did I pay for then?I have to say that the dude, Cameron working up front was way cool and didnt have anything to do with all this trickery. Fyi... adjustable ball joints, pffff!

The Shakopee store has great staff led by the Manager, Steve. They are most professional and do offer Five-Star service.

This place didnt install my oil filter correctly this resulting in the destruction of a perfectly good engine.

Wish I could rate this place higher. Wonderful interaction with the staff, I came in with a flat tire in the trunk and a spare on, they fixed the flat within a couple hours, reattached it, and put the spare and tire changing equipment back in the storage area at no charge. Will be coming back for as long as I live in the area.

After having a flat for the second time after getting 4 new tires replaced at discount tire we had to stop for an emergency ‘fixing’ before our long trip home. Thankfully, Ashley, Cameron, their team took us in and showed us how unsafe our rim was.... it should have been addressed at discount tire and they just blew it off... allowing for the new tire to be destroyed and allowing for HUGE safety concerns for driving on this rim. Anyways, they were able to help us out and get us on our way and see the bigger picture for what actually needed to be done. Were nice and thorough. And the check of the tire was free. Go see these guys.

Had a flat tire with bolt in it. Appointment was fast, they patched the tire for free and rotated tired for $25. Very satisfied.

All employees at this shop have the same goal, excellent customer service and do the job right.

This was an all around HORRIFIC experience. The manager, Cameron, was not only rude but straight up disrespectful and had me in tears. After all of that, he refused to even discount my bill for all of the mistakes they made. I would avoid this location at all costs unless you like being disrespected, swindled and enjoy the mechanic making mistakes while working on your vehicle and them refusing to fix their mistakes without charging an exponential amount of money.

Charged a ridiculous amount of money after doing nothing. If youre looking to be scammed, then go to Big O Tires. They wasted my time all for nothing. I was charged over $130 for a diagnostic test. Apparently just diagnosing a problem on a car is supposed to be free but I was ripped off! They wasted 1 and a half hours of my time.

I hate how they check every inch of your car and come back wiyh a printed list of all the stuff wrong. I know in general what is wrong with my car. When i go in for an oil change, i simply want an oil change. Cant they just do what i ask without trying to get me to spent more money?? I have my own mechanic down the street. Only thing I dislike about going to this place. I almost dont want to go for oil changes because i find it so annoying. But with 19.99 oil changes, i put up with that irritation. Maybe you want to have that list of stuff wrong with your car? Then id highly recommend the place.. 5 stars. I personally dont. Otherwise great place!

Cons: 4 hours to swap tires, tried to sell me new tires despite mine only having 5k miles on them, flat out lied about the problem, let me initially drive away with an unsafe vehicle due to negligence.Pros: Low labor cost per hour? Considering swapping my tires out took 4 hours, it worked out to $10 an hour for everything!Went in for the winter tire swap special, $40 for a seasonal tire change is a pretty good deal. I was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half (which is crazy since changing 4 tires typically takes about 30 minutes, but I figured they were busy). 90 minutes later they offer to check my alignment (which is pretty standard for a service like this since it takes 5 minutes to do), and I agree. After another 20 minutes I ask how much longer it will be, and am told they are almost done putting the last tire on, so I tell them to skip the alignment check since the car goes straight as an arrow without touching the wheel, and I can get it done later.They pull it out front, I drive away, and as soon as I get about 50 mph the car starts shaking like crazy. Seems to be either lugnuts not secured, or wheels not properly balanced. I call, bring it back, and sit and wait 10 minutes before an older gentleman I assume is the manager comes to get me. He brings me to my car, and tells me that the tires are all shot and I need new tires. He proceeds to spin the tires for me, and asks me to look at the center treadline which wiggles some left and right. He then proceeds to tell me that this is a sign of a cupped tire (?) and says it needs an alignment (without them ever checking the alignment) and it will need a new set of tires. I agree to them checking the alignment, which shows it a little out of whack, but start looking into this because this is nothing like any cupped tire I have ever seen and it looked to just not be balanced properly. 5 minutes of googling confirms this explanation is BS, called my uncle who works on cars, and another mechanic I trust. Without going into too much detail I explain the situation and both agree that the tires are just not balanced...While this is going on, my car is taken for a test drive (but never brought on the freeway which is funny as I told them it happened at freeway speeds) to attempt to diagnose the problem. Instead of the mechanic agreeing that the tires are out of balance, he starts talking again about an alignment. I, as politely as I could considering I was holding my 1 and a half year old son who kept his cool like a champ during our 3+ hour ordeal so far, explained that the tires just need to be rebalanced, and that I wanted it done so I could leave. I also explained the tires were basically brand new, if I needed new tires these would be covered by warranty so there was no way I would buy tires there, nor would I have my alignment done at a shop that cant balance tires.They rebalanced all tires, and lo and behold, no problems driving home. Literally every tire wobbled when they spun them for me, so good on them for proving that they not only forgot to rebalance one tire, they literally forgot to balance any of my tires. It is hard to think of this as an accident when they try to upsell me $700 of service for new tires and an alignment instead of saying whoops, we messed up, lets fix that for you.Horrible horrible horrible experience, I will never go back here again, and will tell every person I know that this shop is only trying to lie to customers and rip them off. To further prove this point, as I was leaving a woman working the desk was talking to another customer who she told, yeah, two of those tires are going to need to be replaced well, sure, you can come in to look at them, but we only have 1 pair of tires that are sized for your car well, yeah, but next week is Thanksgiving, so we arent getting another truck until the week after, you would have to wait two whole weeks if you dont take care of this now. So, they try to rip off everyone? Awesome Job peeps.

Had a front end alignment done competitive prices and done quickly

I have been a customer here for more than a year and made my oil change regularly here. Then there was this time that they did an oil change and forgot to close the cylinder. After driving about 1hr, the smell became too much and when I opened the hood, the oil spilled all over the engine. I later came back for them to fix their mess, and they had to keep me waiting and never apologized even. I wouldnt recommend here

Tony was awesome to me he was first one to greet me and little did he know I was an interview, but the way i saw him act with everyone else and myself i knew it was a place i would trust with my vehicle and wanted to be apart of! He treated me as if i would be family and said the big o is like a second family. He introduced me to everyone as a second family to himself you could tell he loved his job and his co workers! He made it a critical point to answer the phones in a timley fashion and make sure every customer was spoken to right away!He was so busy and managed everything very well! When i went in for my interveiw he was extremley busy to the point where I almost wanted to tell him i could come back but instead he managed his time is a very convenient way and brought me along to go get tires while we spoke about the job the way he made everything work was incredible and inspiring to say the least i cant wait to be apart of the team! TONY your customer service is inspiring and i learned alot from you just in one day!

Very nice. I jystvneeded a little bulb in my tail light. The bulb was a couple bucks. It took them 2 minutes to put it in and it was 40 bucks. Wish i would have just hought hulb and figured it out myself. Those places are constantly trying to get you to have more work done on your car too. Oil change and they come out with $3000 worth of problems on my car.. i hate that. If i go for oil change just do oil change. If you see something serious of course mention it but dont need a whole estimate done on my car. Makes me hate going there. But they do have great price on oil change with coupons. That why i like. I go to a local mechanic none franchised for my real work.

I needed an oil change. I had a coupon. There was some free checks and tire rotations. They brought me back and showed me a potential issue with my brakes. They finished my oil change and gave me a estimate for future maintinace and repair issues. There was no hassle and the wait was average if not shorter than other places. I will go back because I belive thet were very professional and I did not feel pressured into upsales or anything more than the coupon.👍

Not recommended, a few month back they worked on Ford focus and kept forgetting parts. Putting the driver and car at risk. Causing the overheating and further damage to the car.

Only go for tires or oil change. They dont know much about anything else. They have made my car worse than I brought it in.

Hard to say what to think about this location. Drivers Safety was not a consern. Missing parts are also a major issue after the repairs and further damage to the car.

Didnt even look at my brakes which I made the appt to get fixed. Left steering wheel and inside door handle visibly oily. Greasy footprints on my floor mat too. Avoid.
