I have had several instruments repaired and cleaned at Seattle Sound Repair. Marie does great work at a fair price, I couldnt recommend more.
Marie did a great job repairing a broken solder joint; cleaning and polishing; and replacing a bunch of worn or missing parts on my trumpet. It plays and looks as good as new! I would definitely trust them for any future work I need done.
The folks here are awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, and fair-priced. Highly recommend.
I contacted Marie Rice from out of the US. I shipped my flute to her for a total overhaul. Marie was a consummate professional. She answers communications and respond quickly. Her work on my instrument was exceptional. She made a 40 year old flute look and sound brand new. I highly respect and recommend her service. In Harmony!
I always know my Horn is in good hands here!
Really nice people at good prices!
They did an awesome job restoring my flute that was sitting in my closet for >15 years. Flute looks like new again and sounds great. Very happy with their service :-)
Great shop loaded with caring professionals! Marie is awesome and her knowledge and passion for her craft was immediately evident! I brought her a near 100 yr old sliver plated brass clarinet that was my dads as a child and after their care, it looks and plays absolutely beautiful. I retired the case it was stored in and it now sits in my music room on a proper stand and is the shining star of the room.
Great repair on a pretty out of shape alto saxophone. It was a little expensive but it was indeed a lot of work. Thank you for the repair Dustin.
Marie is absolutely the best. Great service, lovely humans, excellent work done. Highly recommend.
Great service, good prices. Marie and crew are professional and do great work. Always appreciate the time they spend fixing and maintaining our instruments.
Marie kindly squeezed me into her busy schedule for an emergency oboe repair. She was fast and thorough, making many minor adjustments during playing tests to make sure it worked well. It was a wonderful experience and I greatly appreciated them!
We stopped by to rent a clarinet for my son. They had prepped one in advance for him to try. Both folks in the shop were extremely knowledgeable. They were happy to let him sit in the practice room and try out the instrument, and help him through the initial (inevitable) squawks. It was great, and my son is happily working his way through the book while we look for an instructor. I highly recommend checking out Seattle Sound for your brass and woodwind needs.
As a serious trombone player having access to a great, local repair musical shop with a good turn around time is mission critical - and Seattle Sound Repair is the place to go. Marie did a fantastic job of cleaning my horn and tuning my slide back to perfection. And trust me, Im very picky about the work performed on my slide. She is a skillful professional that knows and applies her craft well and has won me over for all my future repair needs. I highly recommend Seattle Sound Repair to anyone reading this review.
Very competent, and friendly service. Truly the best!
I own a priceless custom horn and Marie took great care of it! Ultrasonic cleaning, restringing, everything! And looks beautiful! Definitely call ahead when looking for apts, these guys schedules fill up fast!
Marie and Jansen did an amazing job with the dent removal and ultra-sonic cleaning of my Yamaha Pro Euphonium. Great People!
Quality and knowledgeable service. Timely repairs. Have had alto and soprano saxophones serviced, very pleased with results.
If your kid plays a wind instrument in school, you need Seattle Sound Repair. This is a professional repair shop. No sales. No send out. Youre working directly with the owner Marie. Shell help figure out the problem, fix it perfectly the first time, and then tell you how to care for the instrument to avoid problems in the future. Prices are very reasonable. And, you can have lessons at the shop with her colleague Evan Smith. It doesnt get any better than that!!
Marie has the best personality, an easy location to get to, and great skills. Love taking my trombone here.
Incredibly helpful, fixed my tenor sax extremely quiclly
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Brought my instrument in for a deep cleaning, it came back pristine.
Great customer service. Only place I could find rent to own Bassoons....a $2500 instrument.
They are very knowledgeable and do all the repairs themselves. If you have a brass instrument that needs a repair or deep cleaning, this is the place to go!
Best repair shop for brass and woodwinds in Seattle. The staff at Seattle Sound Repair are much more knowledgeable and experienced with wind instruments than the repair staff at the music chain stores, and theyre much more friendly and accommodating than the other wind instrument repair specialty shops in the area.
Thank you for having Saturday hours. The fast repair of an F key on our flute for $21 was too good to be true.
Great place with friendly people, will definitely use their services again...
Ive been to 5 different repair shops in Seattle and Seattle Sound Repair is far more honest and fairly priced than most of the others Ive gone to. They are my first choicefor repair shops.
Marie and the hip staff are super proficient and a real treat to deal with. Id never go anywhere else for a thousand miles.
I had a problem with my clarinet and they fixed it quickly so I made it to my gig.
My flute has been reborn! I have a Yamaha 400-series sterling silver flute, I neglected it for 10+ years, recently picked it back up and played for about 3 months, until one day the footjoint fell off while playing. I took it in to Seattle Sound Repair for a COA and when I got it back it was like new again! Before, it was playable, but the mechanism was loud and clicky, the left thumb key springs were lazy, I really had to fight for certain notes, forget about the extreme highs or lows, the mentioned footjoint was loose, and it was tarnished to hell. Now, the mechanism plays like a dream, keys are quiet even in fast trills and tremolos, the headjoint cork is new, the tenons feel tight, the peripheral notes arent as much of a struggle. I actually gained some notes in my range: I can play low B and fourth octaves for the first time ever, and I can play up to 7th harmonic from low C! And its lustrous and brilliant in the light. For initial consultation, Marie looked it over and gave an incredibly reasonable estimate that turned out very close to the final charge. COA took a week, and I had informed them it was not a time-sensitive or priority repair. On pickup, Jansen detailed the process and replacements, so at every step I felt informed and comfortable. Thank you Seattle Sound Repair, I cant wait to return!
Awsome service. Cute repair guy.
Quick but lo with great skill and personality
Friendly, quality and professional service...nuff said.
