Amazing views of downtown Seattle from up here. Theres a small restaurant inside but it was closed when we were there maybe due to covid? You can still buy snacks and drinks at the top, including alcoholic beverages. I wasnt expecting the bottom level to rotate and have a glass floor. I strongly recommend buying the bundle ticket for both the Space needle and Glass museum, itll save you 10 dollars and the artwork is incredible.
It was nice to see some of the milestones from the time when it was built. The view was good, I preferred after the sunset. Glass floor is interesting and there is a cool revolving deck with a bar. If youre in Seattle I would recommend you to go to the Space Needle. Nearby you can find Chihuly Glass and Garden Museum and MoPop Museum.
Super fun! You get access to 2 different levels for $35 per person. The elevator ride on the way up has a cool view with the front glass doors. Amazing view of the city and the beautiful landscape surrounding it. Im terrified of heights, but I had my partner to guide me through it! You can get some really cool shots up there!
During 2018, i couldn’t see anything cause it was under construction. But they finally finished!!!!! It was so pretty and so much fun. If you would like to eat the branch on top, go to their website and book it! Definitely the best view you will gets while having some food. Love this place and always will be coming back
I enjoyed the space needle and it was much more than I expected. Its not as tall or as big as the Stratosphere in Las Vegas though still unique and very impressive. The art and different features can fill up a whole afternoon with family activities and good eats you dont want to miss out on (County fair/ballpark/ food truck kinda food) if even just passing through. There is an awesome skate park that is always alive with scooters, skateboarding, rollerblading etc. Just at the edge of this beautiful park. Bring your appetite, camera and a half a day or more to enjoy this Seattle landmark to its fullest.
Beautiful even when it is rainy and foggy! If you haven’t visited the top, make sure to do at least once. The view is beautiful and there is a small bar where you can buy drinks from. Their gift shop on the first floor also have interesting things to see and buy! We enjoyed our time there and I think you can take memorable photos from the top of the needle.
This was a great experience that was unforgettable. If you are visiting Seattle, you must make time to visit the Space Needle! Although the lines are quite long it was well worth the wait. You can order a drink once you are at the top and you can be there for as long as youd like. If you look closely you can see Mount Rainer. It was crowded at the top as well but you can find clear benches and areas to get stunning photos of the view. We also enjoyed the room downstairs with the revolving glass floor. I liked how we were able to get free photos online from our visit, and the gift shop is filled with souvenirs. We plan on coming back again to visit the Space Needle so that we can get a view of the city at night!
Weve been numerous times and always have fun. If you can, I would recommend going at different times of the day (either on the same trip or different trips) to really experience the horizon.Early evening is usually pretty busy, so be prepared for that. Gift shop has a little something for everyone starting at under $5!
Even though the lines are long, it is a unique experience that is a must if you are visiting Seattle! The 360 views of the city are awesome, and the roaming photographers will take fun pictures of your group that you can get for free on their website later on! Definitely recommend doing a combined ticket with the Chihuly museum as well.
This was my second visit to the space needle in the past 5 years. This visit I thought I’d bring my kids with me to knock it off of their bucket lists. We arrived shortly after 10am and went to purchase entry tickets. There are self-service kiosks near the front of the building where you can purchase your own tickets. After selecting our tickets and a 10:30 entry time, I went to pull out my credit card to pay for our order. Within less than 30 seconds, my screen timed out and cancelled my order. I went back to select a 10:30 entry time, and there were none available. I had to select an 11:00am entry time now. I was a little frustrated because I only selected 3 hours for my parking and waiting around for an hour to enter was going to take away one hour form my visit. While we waited for our entry time, we walked near the back of the space needle and found a children’s park with a maze. We let my son run around and play until it was time to head over to the gate to enter.Once we entered the gate, I had to have my purse inspected, then we began to wait in the long line to go to the top. It was a Saturday at 11am, and there were a lot of people waiting. We were shuffled in line waiting for the elevators for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once we got on the elevator, we were at the top within seconds. The view from the top was beautiful, you are literally able to see all of Seattle and the surrounding cities. It was cloudy at first, then the sun came out, so we were able to get some great photos. They have a concession area where you can buy some snacks and drinks. If you want to eat in the rotating restaurant, you’ll have to make reservations if there are any available. The floors on the bottom level also rotate too, which was pretty cool. After enjoying ourselves at the top, we had to jump back in line for the elevator to get back to the ground. Again, we waited in the line for the elevator about 35 minutes to go down. Once getting off of the elevator, we ended up in the gift shop. Some of the gift shop items were extremely overpriced, however, we were able to find a couple of good souvenirs.Tickets for myself and my two kids were a total of $110.00. I had to buy two adult tickets and one youth ticket. I think the tickets were well priced for such amazing views.Seattle = Space Needle. You have to make time for a visit if you find yourself in Seattle.
Definitely enjoyed the experience. We used the self tickets kiosk and it withheld information on how King county residents receive a discount. Other than having to return to the ticket box office to correct it- it was money well spent. Overall it was fun, would like to see more staff cleaning most commonly touched areas.
Great place for touring with friends and family. A bit expensive on the ticket but if you have military friends or family, its worth bringing them to get a 20% discount.
I think this is a must do while in Seattle. Great views, good beer, and wasnt too crowded when we went. Get the city pass to make you feel like you are getting a deal. Gift shop was great too with lots of goodies and Seattle gifts. I would recommend.
This is a historical icon in American history and a fantastic place to visit! I had so much fun on my visit that I would not mind going again! Recommended to visit early in the day or later in the evening to beat the crowd and the heat in the summer. Highly recommend purchasing tickets online rather than tickets at the entry. Masks are required.
VERY pricey for what’s offered. Overall it is fun and it is an experience everyone should do. At the bottom you see pictures of Space Needle being built and examples of the bolt and nut sizes. Interesting history of the design and process. Once to the top you can walk around and pretty much look out at Seattle. You can also add your name to this computer that keeps track of everyone that’s visited and where they come from. The gift shop on the bottom has everything you want or need but with a big price tag to go with it. I would give it a 5 star if the prices were cheaper all around.
An iconic attraction in Seattle. We went up at night and it was awesome to see the city lights and boats lit up on the water. Go down a level from the top to see the rotating floor.
The views are amazing and the revolving glass floor is a unique experience. Of course the longer you stay, the more you get your moneys worth. So dress in layers in case its cold and try and spot the areas you visited. The Cafe inside the Observation floor is reasonable. **But be warned, you cant eat or drink inside.** So if youre trying to get away from the elements, dont order. (no this is not the level with the glass floor just a standard lounge). All in all a good unique experience.
Its the Space Needle, it has good views. Its really really tall, they have some small areas with glass floors.I went on a Monday and it was not crowded. Theres a small non rotating food stall that has a decent selection of food stuffs (the same things as pretty much every other inside attraction food stall in the center)The rotating part is more gimmick than anything. You can see that you are rotating in comparison to the inner most part of the Needle, but your rotation relative to the view in the distance is small enough to be barely noticeable. Given the angle of human vision and the speed of rotation, it will take you ~10 minutes before you can appreciably realize that you are facing in a different direction. It is easily possible to never even notice that you were ever rotating. The rotating restaurant is even more gimmicky, it is an EXTREMELY narrow section of the rotating floor space, they lined up some tables and chairs, added a bar, and called it a restaurant. Theres some sort of kitchen in the center section, but it probably has as much selection as a bar. I didnt go or make reservations, I saw some people standing at the entrance and passed it a few times, but never saw the staff so much as acknowledge anyones existence. Its very expensive and convinced me that the Seattle City pass is very likely worth it. For one person I spent ~$100 for two rides to the top (day/night) and a pass to the Chihuly Glass and Garden center.
This is a memory of a lifetime. Make sure you lean against the glass (trust me it WILL hold you 😂) and dont forget the lower deck. Theres a staircase down, definitely stand over the glass platforms its a trip! If you go on a really clear day you can see Mt rainer as well. Ask a worker where its at, theyre happy to help
Nice. I just wish my friend were still here so I could have made this trip everything I always dreamed plus COLDPLAY!
Waited in line 30-40 minutes on a Saturday around 2pm. Pretty busy. 35$ basic ticket is pricey but a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely worth the money and wait. There were people from all over the world on top and it was neat to hear so many different languages. Met some chicas from Columbia and Mexico and got to practice my Spanish which I rarely have the chance to do.One employee was rude regarding COVID nonsense specifically getting snappy with a guy telling him to hang up his phone while waiting in line for the elevator.
A reservation is best for a trip to the observation deck. Still, we waited 30 minutes to get an elevator to the top. Masks are required. The view a 7pm is spectacular and worth the wait. Adult beverages are available and a little pricey. But, worth it. If youve never been to the Space Needle, you should go. If you have, consider a return visit.
This is a must-see in Seattle. I like that there arent many crowds at night, but the view during the day is beautiful. During the day, you had to arrive at the right time based on your ticket. We arrived too early and were forced to return to our time slot. However, the staff were much friendlier at night. One of the staff members asked me why I was in a hurry and that the place was not moving. lol Overall, it was a good experience.
Watch the forecast if you plan to buy in advance and reserve a time. You can not enter early if so. Top deck has great outside views, lower deck is a fun spot on the glass floor, just note it shares space with the lounge so some areas are unavailable and you may be waiting for it to rotate around for a view of a particular side.
Excellent views, educational experience, engineering feat of 1961-2! Freely included pro pix too, indoors and out, but self operated on computers on site to get them.
My personal experience at the space needle was more than the spinning restaurant at the top and being on top of this amazing structure with glace walls.I had no idea that a night visit (8:30pm-9pm) was worth a try. The sunset view was beautiful to the point that my picture can not even describe it.You have to be there to understand what my picture can not express.
This place was really cool especially just going up the elevator. It was worth going at a later time to watch the city lights come on and the view became even more spectacular.
We visited on a Saturday for 12pm. The place was pretty packed. We walked there from the hotel that was close by so not sure about the parking. The views are amazing up at the top deck. You can walk outside and have amazing views. They have 2 places where there are cameras that take your pictures but the camera is not positioned correctly so not worth taking the picture there. We then went down to the restaurant on the floor below. The views are the same as the upper deck but from the inside, instead of the outside. The rotating deck is cool but if you’re trying to take a picture with the floor, not that great.
Love this place! Definitely worth stopping by to visit if youre in the area. Had a fun time there!
Best visited during sunset time. Make sure to add your photos online using your ticket (you can download them later). There is also an option to take a ‘selfie’ at the outside deck. Worth a one-time experience.
Super cool. It is over 600 feet high and the second level spins(very slow). You can see all of the city and Olympic National Park.
Yes. It’s just a tower, and their are taller ones, with more to do, in other cities. But come on, it’s the Space Needle!!! It’s an icon. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance if you want to avoid waiting and get there in advance - as your ticket only has a 15 minute timed access. The views on a clear day are amazing - and there are a couple of bars up there if you want to toast the skyline (drinks have to be taken outside unless you’re doing one of their fancy drinks / food packages).
Finally had the opportunity to come up here, just never made the effort. Massive lines, so there was a wait. Buy your ticket in advance online. Once you get up there it’s pretty cool. You can take pictures and drink. There’s a bar, they only let you buy inside then drink outside. Only beer and wine. The second to bottom floor has the revolving glass. Makes you a little dizzy! Elevators to get down took forever. So plan ahead if you wanna leave, it’ll take about 20-30 to wait for an elevator down during busy peak times.
Its definitely nice to see. We have never spent the money to go up because its so expensive. If that was priced reasonably then wed consider going up. Otherwise there is a nice grass area for a place to take some pictures. The neighborhood isnt the best, so make sure youre with someone. There are some sketchy people around.
I can NOT recommend this to people that have an ADA situation, without calling ahead first and working out a plan and a day to visit. We visited the Space Needle on a beautiful sunny afternoon.Because I require the use of a cane of walker, this was very hard as they had me wait in line . I dont mind waiting my turn, but could you please provide me a place to at least sit down for the several hours that I had to wait.We visited every single platform of the Space Needle. It Is true it is an architectural wonder and if you do live in Seattle or are visiting Seattle I do recommend it however if you have an ADA situation I cannot in all good conscience recommend this for any place to visit. I just simply cant. It was horrible for me to have to get around with my chain and ask for chairs constantly and being treated as if I simply just didnt matter. Until they can get their act together regarding people with special need requirements, I can only given Landmark three stars. And the only reason Im doing that is because they have not kept up with the times regarding disability issues and conveniences. I did the whole tourist thing, I dropped over four hundred dollars in gifts and pretty cute raincoats for my grandchildren and crystal and hand-blown glass gifts for my relatives of the Space Needle I did the whole tourist thing. Other than that oh, it just doesnt accommodate people who have a hard time getting around.
Just a fun experience with a bit of history. An engineering curiosity. Great views! Revolving floor was neat and the historic bits were interesting.
Beautiful attraction that is worth it a visit if the sky is clear. Elevators take you to the top where the open glass viewing area is. You can take the stairs down to the rotating glass level. There is a bar up there as well if you want a beverage or snack.
Iconic landmark of Seattle. The observatory is recommended for viewing Seattle downtown, and the price is reasonable. The are two floors of decks above, one with exterior observation and one with revolving interior observation. The staffs are energetic and friendly, there are also free photos that you can get from their apps.A recommended observatory and landmark to take photos!
Fun pace to go, buy tickets in advance and be prepared for a crown. Went early morning and pretty busy. Great views of the city and fascinating design story.
Great views from the top. The gift shop at the bottom was handy. Would have been nice to see Tahoma from there but unfortunately for us it was the usual Seattle weather so no Tahoma and hence no 5 stars.
The price of a ticket for the Space Needle is somewhat reasonable. The ride up the elevator is neat, and you can get a fantastic view of the entire area. It was a bit cloudy on the day I visited, so the mountains were not as visible as I wouldve preferred. The moving floor was neat, but I didnt really take advantage of it.
Reserved time using City Pass. Very efficient process. You get entry that day and able to return that night. The views are great. We were 9am and cloudy so missed the sun. Clean and lots of sanitation practice to keep visitors safe.
An obvious must-do when you get to Seattle. I think we paid $36 for tickets on-line in advance. It is higher up than I thought but you get a great view of the city, the sound, harbor and even The mountain! There are bars and a restaurant up there too.
One of the most conical places in the city of Seattle located right next to the center of the city has a spectacular 360 ° view I recommend you go in the evening it is a unique experience since you can see incredible colones that nature produces I recommend you check the weather of the day since on a clear day you get the best views usually all summer the cost is accessible around $ 30 and the experience of climbing in less than a minute is something that will start the whole experience with two floors with a rotating base within the same room, prepare your best poses and remove the fear that heights can cause you
It was fun to ride to the top and experience the view. It was a clear day so we would see both the Olympic and Cascade mountains in the distance. The second floor has the rotating floor and that was pretty fun also! It was roughly midday when we went, so it was starting to get crowded at the top. Id say definitely worth a trip up at least once, but it would not be something I would need to do again unless we were trying to eat at the cafe or bar.
Pretty awesome view, upper level has a view, second level is where it gets scary with revolving sun glass but its good. The view is pretty awesome, with buildings and ocean view. You could also grab a beer and some food, you could sit on the top floor and enjoy the view. Its a definitely one of the visiting places in Seattle.
Seattles most famous landmark offers amazing views of the city. Must see attraction.
Enjoyed our visit to the eye of Seattle The Space Needle.Loved the spectacular views and enjoyed the sunset.
The place is a Seattle trademark! Its worth the price. You can either get the bundle with the Chihuly Gardens, or get the city pass which has also the Aquarium, and a choice of 2 others I believe. The space needle has two observation decks, the upper one opens up to the outside, and you a beautiful view of the whole city, it also has complementary photo spots, that you just scan your tickets and get amazing pictures. The lower level, has the Loupe which is said to be the worlds first and only revolving glass floor, its amazing how you can literally see down to the streets and cars moving.Bathrooms were super clean, and they do serve both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks on the upper level.I do recommend going early (as of now they open at 10AM) or later in the evening, so that you can enjoy without to much crowd
DEFINITELY A MUST WHEN IN SEATTLE!!! Wowwww! What an experience unlike any other in the world. Truly breathtaking. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time so you don’t have to make an hour wait line. I literally just went straight to the top. There are covid regulations of wearing a mask indoors but not required outside. There was a lot of people but still got to take amazing pictures!!!
Beautiful views from the top of the space needle! I recommend!
It was an amazing view. The kids had a lot of fun. Sitting on the glass chairs and laying back was absolutely exhilarating! I recommend everybody should experience this!
Yess!! The best space needle out there! This is the best spot for one right by the bay! Took some great photos, have a look! If you a tourist I highly recommend getting the Seattle city pass which has this included in it. Must come here and see the great view in the evening during the sunset.
Beautiful view of Seattle from the top of the needle. U need around 2 hours here. The upper outer deck is covered perfectly well with glass, u can click good pictures. The glass also blocks the high wind on top.The best part of the tower is its rotating glass restaurant. It rotates very slowly and the view is fantastic.Their is a huge souvenir store at the bottom, the selections are diverse.
The space needle is definitely an important landmark in Seattle! You must visit while there. The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous and it’s cool because the top of the needle actually spins (really slowly). On your way up you can read about the history of the needle and how it came about. There are bars where you can sit and enjoy a cocktail while watching over the city🍸 great for a romantic outing.
The glass walls and glass revolving floor were a great add on from when I last visited in 2018. Looking forward to returning for the sunset for two. It was my familys first time there and they loved it. It was a perfect clear day and we could see everything in the distance. We enjoyed snacks and drinks there too at reasonable prices. Masks were required even for the free photo at the beginning. Would have been better to be able to see all our faces in the photos for those brief moments without masks. But understandable as well. Still worth the visit and photos we took.
We had a really great time at the Space Needle. Aside from the spectacular 360° view of Seattle, we got to have free photos taken by a photographer there. We just need to find our photos on the website using our ticket number. Really awesome!
I am so glad that we decided to do this very touristy stop, because it was worth the whole trip to Seattle, itself. We bought the City Pass, which we fully maxed out, and it made the rest of our stops a bargain. The view from the Space Needle cannot be beat. Theyve done a great job keeping it clean and safe, too!
Its been years since Ive been up in the space needle. Really loved they opened the restaurant section for everyone to enjoy! The glass floor was pretty amazing! Not a bad view in any direction to see this beautiful city and state!
A little pricey but you get a lot of photo ops during the visit. The gift shop was good I picked up me a hoodie . I would definitely go on a clear day, it was raining and cold for me but I had great experience
The Space Needle is an icon of iconic buildings. Its shockingly affordable to visit the top and enjoy the view at any time of day. Special tickets are available bundled with the Chihuly Gardens, for night visits, and for sunset views. There are two main observation platforms and a restaurant at the top. Be sure to visit the rotating glass floor where you can see straight to the ground! No building could possibly become more iconic on Seattle.
Great experience. Beautiful view at the top. Love how it spins you around .I definitely also recommend seeing the Chihuly Garden and Glass while here. [Beautiful glass blowing]
Kiosk ticket purchase worked well, I arrived about 9am on a Saturday, queue moved well to elevator, viewing platform not too crowded. Whole tourist area was very clean. Awesome view of city, water, mountains. I parked a few blocks away and was an easy walk through a nice neighborhood.
I live in Seattle and coming to the space needle is still a great experience. You can reserve spots in the lounge for a restaurant experience or you can pay $35 to go up to the observation deck and glass floor. Both are amazing and fun experiences. Just takes about 45 mins to get inside and up.
Amazing experience! Must see when in Seattle. The line to get inside is about an hour on Friday noon, the ticket is$36 per person. There is a glass sliding floor area, which is also cool.
History was very interesting. Great views of course. Free pics available which was nice. Entrance process fast and easy.
Such an a awesome view of Seattle! Had so much fun on the rotating glass. Definitely a must-go!
Loved every moment of our visit here. Worth the time and the experience. A true must do when visiting Seattle. Recommend reserving tickets in advance. Did the Sunset champagne reservation (aka drinks on the deck) came with savory bites which was a crab sandwich with fries and dessert, pretty good. They also have a lounge where to you order dinner and sit and eat but also comes at a higher cost. Overall it was awesome and a must do.
I can only assume all locals think people going to the space needle is the ultimate tourist thing.Well, I was a tourist and I decided to see your city from the sky and it was amazing.Beautiful views. Its definitely worth a visit. At least once I think.
At first I thought it was gonna be scary since I have a fear of heights but its really fun. The elevator that takes you up is a smooth ride and great experience. This is something you should do even if you have a fear of heights because you wont ever get another experience like this
You have to go up top of the Space Needle if youre visiting Seattle. Great views and a rotating floor on one level. Youll pay about $40 per person for the elevator ride to the top but you gotta do it.
Space needle is the main attraction of Seattle. It’s a observatory. You will get pretty good view of Seattle from here . Drinks are available at the top . You can drink and enjoy the sunset . Walking on the revolving glass Floor is a good experience . The fee is Less in the morning and in the evening time.
We booked tickets online and visited the glass museum as well. So make sure you get the bundled tickets. There was a bit of a crowd after we entered the line. We waited a max of 15 min. There is also a lot of information through posters on how it was built. You get a great view of the bay and downtown Seattle. The bottom floor has the rotating glass frame. It is rotating very slowly though. A nice way to see the mountains and water. A cool place to visit in Seattle. If there is not wait it would take a maximum of one hour to finish.
The lower deck is great place to take pictures of the city because no window reflections.
Breath taking!! It was so beautiful Ive never experienced anything like that!! Me and my mom had so my fun. theres so much to do for all ages and great way to make memories. Is very pricey but 100% worth it!
If you plan to visit this place, buy ticket ahead. We wait for 2 hours but it is worth to see the good views and dont forgot visit glass floor.Parking spot a little hard to find so I suggest the Komo plaza where cross street of Space Needle. Its indoor parking and a lot of spots. We park 3 hours pay $18. 😁😁.Dont forget to check you free photo with them. They are really friendly and nice staffs. The best place to visit of Seattle from past to now. We love it.
Great fun. The best is Chihuly Gardens right next store - truly amazing glass sculpturesDont miss it.
A must see attraction in seattle. It is fascinating to read how the space Needle was built in 1961 in preparation for the worlds Fair in Seattle. There is a floor that rotates so dont miss that. The top floor does not rotate but has spectacular 360° views.
Scenic voew of the city during the day and night. Make sure you visit the revolving floor (one floor below the roof)that used to be a restaurant, it gives you a better view specially during the day.
Beautiful on top! Amazing views of the city! You wont believe your eyes! Rotating floor! And a small restaurant ! A must see! And of course, a gift shop at the bottom! Nice souvenirs!
Proof of vaccine required, mask are required indoor. It takes about 30 minutes for a full rotation when we were on it. There is a snack bar for beer and drinks limited food at observation deck.
Probably the number tourist spot in Seattle. Not too terribly expensive compared to other places. Chicago and New York, Im looking at you!! Definitely worth the views. I would advice that you get your tickets for the early morning. Much smaller crowds and easier to see and get the pictures you want.
Awesome experience with great views of the city, Puget Sound, and Mt. Rainer. They have two observation decks, one with a revolving glass floor not for the faint of heart and the other with both an indoor and outdoor area. Highly recommend.
Space needle was amazing! Elevator take you to the top floor which is all glass views and seats (very thick) down one floor parts of the ground is glass, the floor rotates slowly amazing view. Must see
