Small and cute donut shop, donuts are made from raised dough with cream on top. There are several flavors and a couple more on the weekend (Fri-Sun). I had an everything donut, it tasted fresh and delicious. No in-store shopping at the moment, you can peek through the big window and order at the door.
Even though I came a bit later in the day and they were sold out of some donuts, the flavors I did try were fantastic! I opted for some flavors like the Oreo Donut Holes I might not have usually chosen but was pleasantly surprised.I also picked up a PupNut for my dog’s first birthday and I’d say she gave it five stars as well. Will definitely return.
Best yeast donuts in Seattle. Maple Bar and Plain Glazed are always delicious here. The everything (savory) donut is interesting... In general, the rotating, creative flavors are hit and miss.$$$$ for donuts -- but would still recommend hitting them up at least once (cuz we all know youll be back).
Amazing! This is right by a rapidly growing and changing part of the CD. For COVID precautions, they ate outside to greet you and take your order, so it’s minimal contact. Their classic apple fritter did not disappoint, and the gingerbread fritter they have for December is SO good. Gooey, soft, fresh, and sweet perfection. Can’t wait to go back to try some of their weekend specials!
Both their donuts and their cakes are absolutely amazing! The donuts here really feel fun and special, especially for someone who typically prefers raised donuts over cake donuts. We recently ordered our wedding cake from Raised Cakes and were absolutely blown away by how beautiful and delicious it was! We sent Mi a few photos of what we envisioned for the design, and they totally delivered. Most importantly, we had so many guests raving about how good the cake was and I can’t wait to order cakes again for more special occasions. Highly recommend the funfetti strawberry!
Raised Doughnuts has great doughnuts....But I wanted to give Mi a shoutout for Raised Cakes. Raised started doing cakes not that long ago. I did not hear about them until I saw a foodie friend post a birthday cake she bought from Raised. I was looking to find a wedding cake vendor, and I loved Raiseds cake flavor options! It is a mix between American style and Asian style fruit cakes. I was a little worried since they are so new, but the cake flavor was totally my taste and Mi was so nice and professional with all of her communication. She made us a beautiful tiered wedding cake and we got SO many compliments on the taste! I got the funfetti cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberry filling with white chocolate pearls. My family and I are so excited to be ordering our birthday cakes from Raised in the future!
The donuts here are so fluffy and delicious! Definitely come here for some of the delicious flavors seasonal flavors. Also the entire vibe is modern and warm. I personally got a Lychee Mochi donut and strawberry basil donut (both seasonal) and a sugar mochi donut which oddly reminded me of a soft churro! There are four parking spots out front so be prepared for that and also come early as they sell out!Tip: There are also weekend flavors that are only available on a specific day!
The texture is soft and fluffy with crispy edges, which is fortunate and unfortunate because you want to eat more! The flavors are quite tasty. It is among the top donuts Ive had in the city, but take that with a grain of salt since I dont seek out opportunities to eat donuts.I would come back again!
Ive gotten donuts from here before and loved how soft and fluffy they were, so I thought Id treat myself to one today. I showed up around 11:15 on a Sunday and they were already out of a lot of stuff, but thankfully, they still had the ones I was eyeing. I got the bacon blue cheese blueberry, sweet corn, and black sesame mochi (all from their July flavors). The bacon blue cheese was really unique! Strong flavors from the cheese, but Id get it again. The sweet corn was a bit plain to me -- the corn flavor was almost non-existent, even with the corn topping. The black sesame mochi also missed the mark. It was good, and I really wanted to like it, but I was expecting more black sesame flavor. The photo on their menu showed the donut ABSOLUTELY COVERED in black sesame, but mine had a handful of sprinkles, and it was really tiny for a $3 donut. All of the donuts had that signature Raised Doughnuts pillowy-ness, and Ill keep coming back for that. I just wish the flavors were true to their names.
Absolutely amazing light, fluffy donuts. The mochi donut is a great gluten free option and the regular donuts are divine.
Good inventive doughnuts. Theres a line if you arrive when they open (9:00 AM) so be ready to wait 15 mins. The Everything Bagel Donut was surprisingly good - like a soft airy bagel without the jaw workout. The Pineapple Upside Down was too oily for my taste, but decent overall. Staff was nice and prices were fair. Id recommend coming here.
Super disappointed in this outfit.. 2nd time Trying them because I really want to like them. I know the donut style is different but seriously $3 for an Apple fritter and Ive only found 2 small cubes of Apple. It just tastes like fried bread with sugar on top.. no Apple flavor, no texture
They make the best apple fritter. Love everything here, but give the fritter a try.
TL;DR: One of the best small batch donuts in the WORLD - with great Asian and seasonal flavors.WE LOVE RAISED DOUGHNUTS! My husbands favorite treat has always been donuts, so weve had our fair share of donuts all around Seattle, Portland, and any international trips - but Raised has always been our favorite!Every donut is so tastefully (delicious AND instagram able) and thoughtfully (creative flavors) crafted. The classic mochi donut is incredible and wows all the friends weve brought boxes of donuts to. We also love the classic maple bar, any seasonal fritters (like the gingerbread one pictured), and anything with a fruity glaze (like the pandan mochi donut pictured) - yummm.COVID protocols: the owner Mi has made things so easy and health-first. You can call in to order (and reserve those special flavors cause they go QUICK!) and pick up later in the day or plan ahead and order in advance on their website. The donut shop has 2 parking spots, which are usually free because people just drop by to pick up. Mi is always so kind, personable, and reliable. Its a great experience every time. Since we cant wait to dig in, we end up parking on the street and eating them in the car. 😋Raised Cakes update (8.12.21): Mi makes custom cakes now and they are SOOOO GOOD! Im going back to Raised any time I need to celebrate someone.
Very pillowy and soft donuts & great covid policy, the run out of donuts fairly quickly though and by the afternoon theres not many options to choose from. usually they have some cake left by then, which are just as fluffy as their donuts :3
First time we came around 12pm on a Sunday and they were already sold out! The second time we called ahead to reserve doughnuts, but they had some available anyway at around 10am. These doughnuts are delicious. Particularly loved the toasted coconut special and will be going back to try the mochi flour doughnuts.
Delicious doughnuts with cool and creative flavor combinations. The black sesame filled doughnut is worth a stop all by itself!
So yummy and my dog loved the pup option too!!
Pricey! The Vietnamese coffee donut was soft and fluffy. But for $3.50, I didn’t taste any of the coffee flavor.
Great fluffy donuts. Just make sure you get there early. They run out fast!
My husband and I decided to go to a few donut places in one day recently and this was our favorite of the 4! They have small batches, so you know everything is fresh! We loved their unique selection/flavors and the texture of the donuts! We were also delighted to find out that they sold pupnuts (little doggie donut holes) so our dog Otus could join in on the fun! Cute shop interior too!!
Great Eats, Great People. A super fun local women run business, worth the drive from other areas of Seattle for a morning donught and coffee. Make it a weekend brunch not lunch because this spot is popular and stays open only until sold out!
Be sure you show up early! Popular spot, and for good reason. The dalgona coffee doughnut is easily my favorite.
Interesting flavor ideas, was tempted mainly because of the mochi donuts for something different. Caramel crunch was very unexpectedly subtle while the black sesame had fantastic flavor. Big downside is the price of the donuts which are also fairly small in size, see banana Pic for reference. Also the mochi donuts ended up disappointing due to their greasy sogginess, not fried at the right temp I guess.
Delicious donuts, but small and overpriced. The employees are kind of jerks, and they expect you to tip even if you just buy ONE donut. It makes things very awkward and is the reason I have not returned since last summer!
Donut? How good can it be. Well, I personally don’t lean towards donut when I crave for something sweet but after going here I have decided that when time comes I want to have their donut at my wedding.
The Mochi donuts are absolutely incredible.
Outstanding donuts. Best ever.
The donuts are AMAZING! Every month they have new flavors so there is always something interesting to try. The owner and staff are also some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
Its National Doughnut Day and every year my niece and her father take a donut tour. Today she brought me a sample from Raised doughnuts! These Donuts were delightful. We enjoyed the raspberry donut holes, tahini and chocolate raised donut and a chocolate bar. What I enjoyed most was the crispy outside and light and airy inside. The glaze was the perfect amount of sweet! The flavors were unique and subtle. I would highly recommend stopping in and enjoying what they have to offer!!
Favorite donut place in Seattle, hands down. The owner is a super awesome POC lady who is very friendly, has an adorable dog and does recipe testing on Thursdays! The shop is open until her morning batch of donuts sells out, so depending on business they can get sold out and closed as early as 11am on a Monday (when we first went!). Because its largely one woman making donuts every morning at 2am no wonder there isnt always a huge quantity ~~ but everything is really good!! The blackberry cruller was amazing and the pull-apart quality was really satisfying ~~ and the kinako mochi donuts are deliciously nutty, dense and chewy! I didnt get to try a savory donut (limited edition flavors are usually released on weekends, a single different one each Sunday/Saturday) and posted on their instagram! She also super generously gave me a box of 3 kinako donuts she was recipe testing on Thursday with my name written on it 😭💞💕 love her fusion asian flavors!!! Go give them support and eat lotsa donuts!!
Cute little shop with some of the best donuts Ive ever had, and Ive had a lot of donuts. The donuts are light with a nice crispy/chewy exterior and soft/doughy interior, making it easy to try a few flavors without feeling like you just ate a bunch of donuts. Flavors are well thought out with plenty of classic as well as seasonal options that exceeded expectations. Dehydrated strawberry with balsamic drizzle was packed with flavor and the maple bar and mochi dusted with sugar made me regret not buying a full dozen. Parking is a bit of a challenge but manageable.
Bought 2 donuts; Cranberry and Gingerbread. What does great with donuts? Coffee seems to be a winner...but we were told by the counter person they were out.... I wanted to ask? How could you possibly be out of coffee?...got the evil eyes from the partner so stayed quiet......but still enquiring minds want to know...no coffee in Seattle? Now about the donuts. Very limited selection. 11 to be exact. The donuts were okay. The iced topping had all the flavour the actual donut not so much... total for 2 donuts $8. A little dissappointrd. Will I go back? Yes, cause I want to support local business. But looking forward to a larger selection and some coffee.
Great doughnuts but so expensive. Got the fritter, raspberry holes, and mochi doughnut. Blueberry mochi had great flavor but also the size of a babys fist. So small. Not worth the cost imo. Raspberry holes were good and tart but did not have a good crunch so seemed like it was sitting for a while.
Holy cow five stars! My favorite doughnut place in Seattle, over Dachi, Fuji bakery, or Top Pot. Rivals with some spots in Portland. You must try the raspberry holes(a staple). Our favorite of the current monthly flavors was Nectarine. They have just a few parking spots in front that are often filled up, but plenty of parking to be found in the surrounding blocks. They are still open during quarantine. They do monthly and daily flavors, so be sure to check their website on what they’re offering that day. They sell out usually before closing time, so go earlier.
I bought 5 donuts and some holes and forked over 20 bucks! The flavors are creative and I dont mind the small size, but the price is too high for small clever donuts with the wrong texture that dont taste as exciting as they sound. Also, I got there around 720am and the donuts seemed not that fresh🤷🏻♂️Shared with friends who I didnt realize had had them before and werent that impressed either...but their kids devoured them. That being said, the store was hip and clean and the staff was wicked friendly.
Easily the best donuts that have ever graced my pallette. People leaving 1 and 2 star reviews have bad taste, and should not be trusted with any culinary input. These donuts are NORMAL SIZE, and the unique flavors elevate them above a standard breakfast treat. With every bite you can taste the love and thought that goes into these unbeatable donuts.
Great fast service. Love the May flavors!
All I want in a doughnut shop is glazed and chocolate raised doughnuts done right. This is the place.
The cuellers are to die for and I really liked the Mango guava mochi donut. The location is easy enough to get to though there isnt very much parking. Social distancing was easy.
Be prepared to wait in a very long line as soon as this place opens. Donuts were ok. ....nothing special. Will try again once more incase I missed something....always do to be fair....visited by many locals.
SIMPLY the best donuts you will have. Fluffy yet dense, perfectly sweet, and every month you have your choice at new monthly flavors. If only I could eat them every day.
Amazingly not overly sweet
So dang good
This is the first time here they awesome super delicious and the precautions for Covid awesome!
The doughnuts are good, both GF and regular, but not exceptional. However they are way too expensive, $3.5 for the size of a small cookie.
First time buyer and it was worth the trip ☺️! The owner of the store was so friendly and helped us find a place to park while waiting for my wife at a doctors appointment.
We visited last weekend and I have seen these donuts all over the internet and people just love them and I desperately wanted to rave from the highest hills as well. Its a super cute shop and I love the logo/packaging and the customer service was fantastic. I have no problem paying for quality if its warranted but I just didnt feel like the donuts were the quality that people have been raving they are. I really hope I just came in on an off day. We bought one of each variety of the week and they all unfortunately had the fryer oil taste. While the apple fritter was solid, we found the chevre donut to be really unbalanced in favor of pungency not sweet and savory. The orange and toasted coconut were nice but muted in flavor and the cake donut part of it was just ok. The unfortunate disappointment was the mochi donut which was just so greasy and tasted of such. It was however topped with a really lovely bright punchy mango icing which I would have happily ate by the bowl if given the opportunity. My intent isnt to put the shop down with a bad review but just point out the issues with quality because these donuts have a ton of potential and if customers dont give honest feedback theres no way for the shop to know to improve. I hope whoever is reading this takes it as constructive feedback.
This place is truly great. The flavors are creative, but always reliably high-quality. They provide products for people with all taste preferences and palates. And the business community outreach is so well-done, their social medias are very convenient to send compliments and ask questions. Small-batch donuts made by the people, for the people!
Amazing, amazing donuts! The store pup is also the cutest lil thing.
Excellent customer service! Seasonal pumpkin donut was great. Mochi donut was not to my taste but i appreciate that they have gf options!
Its a joy to run into people who love what they do, and they are really good at it. You can order ahead on their web site, or just walk up and see the flavors of the day. The raspberry donut holes are a house speciality. The apple fritters are best Ive ever had. Well done.
It was okay, Raspberry Bismarck was Krispy Kreme quality, Apple Fritter was chewy and bland, the best Apple Fritters are crispy on the outside imo. Sold out of most flavors.
Unique and absolutely delicious. Even though some of the flavors can sound a little odd, they are always AMAZING! Even my picky parents and in-laws always love them!
The cinnamon roll donut was incredible!
I happened to discover this place looking for donuts to pair with a Saturday morning neighborhood walk. Amazing. In fact, for my birthday, my husband got me donuts from here instead of cake. Love the rotating flavors too. I was so obsessed with these, I even signed up for her donut making class.
I wouldnt really recommend this place. It is a very upscale donut place and not what I was expecting. The donuts are very small and very expensive. You could pay up to 5$ for like 3 donut holes. The donuts themselves are okay, they are definitely not the best and definitely not worth the price
DELICIOUS! This place has really amazing doughnuts - great texture, unique flavors but also a well executed classic. We got the oreo donut holes which were incredible. Our dog demands a pup-nut or two everytime we go. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Good and original flavors, but they’re missing the basics. Dough is not as airy as I’d expect from a shop called “Raised.” Mochi donuts are dense and way too greasy. The glazed ring is okay but they’re charging top dollar (2 for $5.50), little much in my opinion.
I was so excited to try Raised and we used to live down the road and I never knew they had mochi Donuts. It’s such a cute shop and the staff is very sweet. That being said, I was so disappointed when I picked up the donuts. True mochi donuts are thick, fluffy, gooey, and sweet and these were so small and like straight grease. They weren’t fluffy at all; more like a pocket of air. The flavor was good.
These donuts were way below our expectations. Nothing special at all. Very expensive and small. Would prefer a donut from the grocery store instead of waiting half an hour for subpar donuts. Never will go again.
Im a straight-ahead raised glazed donut guy. Designer donuts, exotic flavors and toppings dont really excite me, although Ill give them a try. Been to lots of bakeries, coast to coast, including many of the best known. My son and his partner took me to Raised a few days ago while my wife and I were visiting them in Seattle, and we tried quite a variety. They were excellent, end of story. What makes it all go is the dough. Terrific balance between airy and substantial, chewiness and moistness, with a marvelous slight crispness to the exterior. Thats a fantastic base for whatever else is happening on top or inside, which is also executed very well and flavorfully. Donuts to be savored bite by bite. I also thought the prices were reasonable for the Seattle area for what youre getting. My thanks to and admiration for the owner/baker!
I think the donuts are very dry. The shop is cute and cozy, but I don’t think the wait or prices are worth the quality of the donuts, I was not impressed.
Not your average donuts. The Mochi and Everything Bagel donuts are my personal favorite. They also make excellent cakes.
Delicious donuts, definitely worth the calorie, though its pretty pricey. Really love everything donut, a savory one.
The classics are solid. But the untraditional are exceptional!
OMG! This is doughnut perfection! I am usually not a fan but heard about them & thought wth...they are barely sweet & flavorful & amazing. Wow!
Best Donut shop in the CD get their early cause they sell out every day
We were the first in line! as the door opened and little cutest doggy noodle greeted us into the chic shop. Very simple design of interior and exterior, yet with a cozy feeling. Coffee is great and they have variety of drinks they make. Doughnut gallery was spectacular, we almost picked one of each flavor to taste. Mochi plain doughnut is very interesting and yummy. What I liked best was that none of them were too sweet, sweet enough but without being overwhelming. The blueberry bacon one was a new flavor they are trying out; as a non-bacon eating person I still enjoyed it. They crafted it in such a way that the bacon is crisp, smokey and sparse. The raspberry doughnut holes were incredible; beautiful to look at and a festival in your mouth! ... when we got to sit at our table, the line was already out the door and spilling into the street. So plan accordingly. Enjoy and Doughnut worry be happy!
Nice clean bright shop with a welcoming friendly Baker. Doughnuts were full of flavour, especially the raspberry holes made with ground freeze dried raspberries. I also loved the lemon verbena which had a great lemon flavour. We found that the doughnuts were more greasy than what we are used to and on the small side, especially the apple fritter. The coffee was fine but we had hoped for something with a bit more flavour.
I was greatly disappointed I. The size and lack of frosting in the maple bar
When I was charged 44$ for 14 donuts, I must say I was a little surprised. However, they did explain their process and it is very much from scratch each morning. The taste sold me. Definitely worth it! And the fact that they have an adorable dog is just icing on the...well...donut in this case.
Tasty Doughnuts! Mostly take out customers but there are a few spots to sit. My raspberry cheesecake doughnut was fantastic, Ill be back.
The shop is well organized, with an easy counter to see the donuts and a seating area to enjoy them. I was excited to try the mochi donuts, but they were quite a but smaller than the normal donuts and were very oily. However, the other donuts were fluffy and delicious! I enjoyed the November specials, pumpkin fritter and snickerdoodle.
A quint little cafe that serves good variety of teas and coffees. What I liked the most about this place was the warmth and coziness that you feel inside. Also, they have a lovely dog that you can spend some fun time with!
Awesome doughnuts! (Just for info, we went at like 11:00AM and they were closed. So they definitely sell out pretty fast.)
Not bad for a donut shop, enjoyed the way that donuts are marketed on social media. It is very over-hyped for what you get though. Some donuts were great such as the mango-basil and original glazed, however, donuts like the thai tea donut was over-fried and oily and couldnt really taste the flavor of the thai tea itself. It was not until I tasted the icing itself that it tasted exactly what it was supposed to taste like..thai tea. Another thing to point out is that I am not a fan of the limited times and limited amount of stock there is in donuts. It felt as if I had to jump through hoops to obtain some.
If you are a fan of great donuts, you definitely need to check this place out. Nice lil spot in the Central District for a spot of tea and a awesome sweet treat. Get in before they sell out, cause they do.
Doughnut perfection! Yeasty, light and fluffy, fun flavors, truly crafted by professionals 💕 Just drip coffee to go with, but totally fine because the doughnuts blow you away.
