Breakfast for lunch. A very good idea. This beauty is the Carnivore Pile. Aptly named for the incredible amount of ham, bacon, and sausage on top on hash browns, smothered in cheddar and topped with two eggs over easy. Add in the rye toast and a mug of black coffee and you are damned happy to be alive. 😁
Vegan food thats crazy good! Yeah, I know, going vegan is good for the environment but Im just unlucky and cant eat dairy. 😭 Their vegan breakfast burrito comes with both cheese and sour cream (and I swear it tasted like it had bacon). So good. My friend had the Ruben, he said it was good, nice serving of pastrami, but he wished it had more kraut and dressing. We both had to stop a few times when sipping our milkshakes. They were so good, we just had to take a moment and reflect on the meaning of life. He had a malt and I had vegan chocolate MILK SHAKE - something I havent been able to enjoy in years. I might have shed a tear. Def coming back with friends.
Always went to Luna park cafe before becoming vegan in 2013, just recently went back and was so happy to see they have a complete vegan menu beside their regular menu, make sure to ask for it since they didnt offer it to us until we ready about it on the regular menu in small print! The vegan menu has options for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as vegan milkshakes! Food was good and service was great! Nice spot to grab a quick meal! Ill be back to try even more if their vegan options! 🌱💚🙏
I’m really happy about this place. We went for brunch and we got Strawberry Waffles and the Special French Toast. Big portions and delicious food! So tasty. The coffee was pretty good too. Staff excellent. It’s not so expensive. If you’re lucky you’ll find a parking spot right outside, if not, there are more spots along the street. I love the vibe in this place! They have jukeboxes that work, so cool. They have tables inside and outside.
Food was great and I LOVED how it looked from the inside. I’ve been in Seattle for 19 years and this was my first time going here and honestly I’m very happy I choose to come :) My server was Lily, she seemed sweet but it seems like we might have caught her on a bad day. So the service overall is not what I thought it would be, but everyone else was super sweet.
The coolest most relaxing/ good eating place near me. The people are very friendly and helpful. Food is great but the milk shakes are the best in the city that I know of. The decorations inside are fun to look at to. So good I took my son, whos in the military, there when he was home to visit and he and his girlfriend loved it.
My favorite breakfast joint, serving big portions, brunch cocktails, and old school milkshakes in a nostalgic setting. The tabletop jukeboxes arent for show either so come with quarters. Service is usually friendly and fast too. Only con is coffee is $5 which doesnt make any sense as it tastes like regular drip coffee.
I really like Luna Park Cafe. They have amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. I love the vintage feel the place has. The delicious food and drink selection is wide enough to make your mouth water and your thirst rise. The people there are very nice and friendly and it draws a family friendly crowd. I would definitely highly recommend Luna Park Cafe and give it a big five stars. A tiny bit pricy on some things but overall its a great place to go. :)
Ive been to this place a few times already. I enjoy the atmosphere, but not the service. Ive really tried giving this place a chance, but its just not clicking. For one, it takes forever to be greeted and get a table even if there is no waiting. Then once youre seated, theres another lengthy wait for the waitress to take your order. Now to the food. Honestly, Dennys is way better. Theres really no reason to stop at this place for food. The eggs are always overcooked. Their omelettes are dry and require a beverage to get down. I really wish they also had more of an a la carte selection. Perhaps its best they dont though, as 4 sausage links cost a whopping $6. Is this place overpriced? Not if the food were really good, but its too mediocre. The food quantity is there. Good solid portions. Just heavy in nothing special. The best bet is too stick with pancakes. I see lots of folks order them. Ill try them again in the hope that something changes.
The food was really good and the service was even better. They also have a very good selection of vegan food.Highly recommend the biscuits as part of breakfast and the vegan peanut butter milkshake was amazing
We love this place for breakfast! Lots of options with different combos from omelettes to piles to hobo style. I love the earth and the veggy. While you are there... Do NOT miss their milk shakes. Chocolate peanut butter or mocha or espresso are favorites for us. Larges are easily shared as they are 20oz! Dine in or take out.
Okay food, definitely not worth as much as theyre charging for it. Expect typical diner food and to pay around $50 for two if you dont get alcohol
Amazing food and service. My Uber driver recommended it and I was not disappointed. My cocktail was delicious. Next time I am in the city, Ill make another visit for sure.
Retro type eatery. Above average prices, however large portions. Parking can be an issue. Cafe more suited locals who walk, jog or bike over.
Surprised to find vegan options and gluten free bread. Very pleased with the diner food with a vegan twist served with a huge pile of sweet potato fries and Mannys ale.
Must do if youre visiting. If youre from here, what are your waiting for? Food is good, service always good too. Huuuge menu. And a whole separate vegan menu. Cool place
Wonderful dinner. Has very great vegan options and a great take out service. Called 30 mins prior and was steaming fresh when we arrived. To top it all off, we had their wonderful milkshakes. Best dinner in west Seattle!
Both my boyfriend and I got food poisoning after stopping here for a weekend brunch.I received no response from management after reaching out and the service was lacking... even for a diner-style restaurant.
Everything is good. But my favorite is Elvis burger.Great breakfasts, red beers, mimosas
Was very disappointed when coming here. Heard good things. Our server was slow and rude, didnt know any of the questions I asked her. They messed up everything I specified about my order, sent it back and just got drinks.... the 2 servers that were on shift were fighting so it was extremely slow.Only good thing was that the mimosas had a heavy pour, but they arent giant as the menu states hahaha.
Very slow, unfriendly service. Came here to celebrate a special occasion and were left waiting far longer than anybody else for a table. When the worst table in the outdoor patio was available, we asked if we could just wait for the next one since there were two other tables that needed to be bussed. Multiple groups came after we asked this and were sat immediately inside even though wed been waiting for 45 minutes. The server working the outdoor area I swear took as long as he possibly could to start bussing the other tables. We left to eat somewhere else after that instead of dealing with the attitude.Edit: We werent a large party. There were only two of us.
We brought our kids and dog in because wed been wanting to stop in for over a year. Greeted by an impressive waitress that not only did her job well but even spoiled our dog with a special treat. Yet, I can not say nice things about the management.
This place is SO GOOD, its a West Seattle institution! Their fries are to die for, their prices are reasonable and pick up is pretty quick! One of my favorite places to go.
Breakfast food was great! We were able to get in with a party of 7 in about 10 mins. Thank you for the great service.
Luna Park Cafe is a awesome place to get some good food for lunch or dinner this place is very cool inside theres awesome stuff all over in there . The food tastes so good my milkshake was amazing, this is a very sweet place to bring your friends and family #love . Thank You .
50s style diner here. I love the old style places and history. Show up in your tri-5 chevy and you will fit right in. Great burgers and brew. All American great food and service too. Thank you.
Great food! Service is nice. 🙂
Great food very well mannered worker Ill be back keep up the great work
I go there regularly. Always had a wonderful meal. My favorite is the chilli. The shakes are amazing.
I went here in the evening really hungry after a long run. The service and staff were awesome. My Greek salad was delicious as were the mushroom burger and the chicken tenders I got for my wife and little one. If I had not opted for the salad, I wouldve gotten an omelette as they serve breakfast till their 10pm closing time. :)
Milkshakes we ordered were good, food we ordered was bad. i told my family not to order any meat because my friend mentioned getting food poisoning from there several times. i ordered fries to play it safe. my family got meat anyways & just as i thought, they got food poisoning the next day! we were pretty much the only people there, do not recommend
My hubby has been doing road construction literally in front of Luna Park Cafe for the last few weeks so he eats here a lot lately. I have been able to join him a few times. Great little retro diner, staff is friendly, food was good (though the fries were a bit salty for my liking), milkshakes were amazing!!!
Such an amazing little hole in the wall thats famous for its dinee food! The milkshakes are their cornerstone.
Food is always good when I visit Seattle on the regular. This time I give it 3 stars because I ordered a club sandwich on white bread and was given rye instead. I wish someone would have told me they were out of bread before they took my order and paid. Before I was given my food, I overheard the waitress telling the owner that were out of white and sourdough and then looks at me as in oops, I shouldnt have said that. Club was not tasty on rye at all. I did not enjoy my food! That wasnt the best customer service experience.
UPDATE AUGUST 2021:Consistently good. Ive been slowly going through the menu and have not been dissapointed. My only criticism is the wait time. Its worth the wait.ORIGINAL:Great service and friendly staff. I got the breakfast burrito and it was great!
Tasty! Really cute interior, friendly service, had a great time!
Excellent diner food, minimal seating, breakfast is great, get there early
It’s a yummy spot specially if we talking Breakfast!
We stopped in Saturday 8/7 on our way to the airport. Our first trip there we waited and no one came to take our order my husband asked for the check and the mgr was very apologetic like everywhere they are short staffedtoo. We decided to to stay and eat and it wasgreat food. We will totally be back. They gave us a discount which was not necessary it happens and husband was a little hangry. Highly recommend....
Every experience here is a good one. The food is top notch, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is super unique.
Loved the cafe. Lots of gluten-free and non dairy options.
Breakfast menu has a great variety of items guarsnteed to please everyones palette.
We were visiting our son from Alabama.I was instantly intrigued because of the name and outside decor. Once inside all I wanted to do was look at the walls, ceiling and the booths. It was like a walk back in time. I loved the metal lunchboxes. We sat at a booth where we found a vintage jukebox on the wall. The menu was full of options for everyone. We went for breakfast twice during our visit. My husband discovered the Aardvark hot sauce and has been hooked ever since. You can conclude your visit with your picture outside in the wooden face cut out.
Ive been going here my whole life and I dont plan to stop anytime soon!
The best chili and milk shakes in the big city
Great food, great shakes, great service from a restaurant thats been serving West Seattle for forty years! What now could you possibly want? A nostalgic trip through your childhood? They have that too!
If you looking for a decent breakfast with reasonable price, this would be a perfect place for you. Restaurant atmosphere more like you are in New York, good food, service a little bit slow, since its a small restaurant, its filled very quickly, but people spent more time in there, & you felt pressure eating your food, thinking about people waiting for availability, only if you are an inconsiderate person, than no issue at all of being feeling pressure. Overall experience alright. We love the food though! Parking is another issue to be considered.
Weve been coming here for years. The food is great, but the service could be better
Disappointed with the customer service. We waited for a long time to even have our order taken while others were seated, ordered, ate and left. We were told that our servers didn’t know we hadn’t ordered even though the place wasn’t crowded and several wait staff saw us sitting there without drinks or food. Once we ordered our food wasn’t hot, French toast just isn’t the same when it’s not hot. The food was mediocre and didn’t live up to the hype at all. Save yourself a trip.
Delightfully eclectic diner in West Seattle with all the nostalgia you need, including neon signs, vintage tile floor, classic diner booths and catchy jukebox tunes. The food is solid and the breakfast cant be beat. Their milkshakes are phenomenal and definitely big enough to share. Their french fries are perfection and oh so crispy. The burgers are amazing and honestly Ive never had anything on their menu that wasnt awesome. The staff is great and is made up of a wide array of Seattles quirkiest humans. They are all stellar and are great at juggling guests requests even on the busiest days. They also take their time with their older guests on the slower days. Ive even seen then sit down with the elderly just so they can share stories.Parking can be tricky and you may end up waiting for a table on the weekends but its definitely worth the trip and really worth the wait.
I heard reviews on the Shakes and decided to try it out. Im a huge fan of finding the Best Shakes possible. The more natural the better. I had an Espresso Shake and OMG!!! Seriously the best shake Ive had in Washington State so far. It actually tastes like Espresso. It was super delicious and even had little Espresso grains!! I havent had the food but as far as shakes go this place is the best so far thats why Im giving 5 stars.
Good service friendly staff good food
Really good chicken strips. The milkshakes are pretty good.
There was only one server and he was great, fast and friendly. The food was very good too and excellent coffee.
Great little place.. fun decor and huge portions!!
It was a unique experience. I personally felt the inside was cramped and the there was a lot going on- others might enjoy this. I ordered a scramble and it was plain for my taste. The service was average, but not as friendly as I would have enjoyed. I would give 3.5 stars if it was an option, but I’ll round up! Based on the other reviews I am open to trying it again.
Waited an hour to be seated, people who complained got to get seated before us which was a plus. Was given water right as we were sitting down that was split on me and didn’t even get an apology. Waited 20 plus minutes for someone to come get our drink or food order, never happened. Watched as people who were sat after us got their order taken. Walked out hungry and disappointed. Will not be returning.
If you are in the area visit this place. Won’t be disappointed. Best breakfast around.
It was great! Super fast service! Excellent food one of a kind atmosphere.
I had a burger & it was pretty good, so I do recommend it. They also have good Milkshakes
Food is great but idk if i would come back due too bad costumer service
Develish Vibe! Coffee was ok...
Great tasty food. Wonderful location.
Good, ol fashioned diner food. Nothing special but no complaints either. Shakes are pretty good.
