Staff here is great. Been in a few times, and every time Ive asked for help finding something, or for a recommendation, they jumped at it. Got the impression that these people like leather, and they want to help you. But not like theyre paid to help you, but they want to, you know?

The staff of the Shoreline Tandy are the reason I got into leatherworking. For years, I though leatherworking was the one costuming skill I would never pick up, as I had been told that it was both really difficult and really expensive. The staff here changed all that. They were very patient in explaining techniques to me, and showing me the best options for hides, tools, and dyes. They showed me techniques that I was uncertain about, and gave me suggestions for other ways to find resources to learn from. Thanks to them, I now regularly produce leather goods on commission. I went in to buy a cowhide rug and it turned out and unknown to me they had just been on sale for a large discount. They still gave me the sale price which is awesome.
