GREAT Chocolate both vegan and non. The coffee drinks taste great and I’ve been happy with various espresso mixes. They also have wonderful real hot chocolate! This is a very cozy spot and the staff is knowledgeable and very warm and kind. I love this spot! Staff is always kind and treats me well. I love doing work out of here.
Literally the sweetest Batista. They were so easy to talk to and helped me pick a bunch of drinks. They also made me the best mocha Ive ever had. So glad we stopped here on our trip.
Great chocolates, and we love stopping here for hot chocolate on our way to Green Lake for fall walks!
Such a consistently good place. Amazing chocolates, discounts for local workers, great beverage options. Thoroughly pleased with my experience every time. Highly recommend their chocolate covered espresso beans whenever theyre available! Truffles run at about a dollar and some change each 😊
My hot chocolate was yummyyyyyyy and I sat on the loft floor which is so fun and the shop is just adorable and funky and Greta in general. Best vibes in town.
I love Chocolati Cafe. I just went to the Wallingford Cafe and have had this happen twice now. I ordered a Mexican Hot Chocolate with Oat Milk and its very spicy with very dilute chocolate (tastes like water with spices). I usually never leave reviews but I love this place. It definitly depends on who makes your drink, but the last time I went to the Wallingford location it also tasted funky. I definitely prefer the greenlake and greenwood locations because they are more consistent.
Go here and drink chocolate and feel happy. This is just as quirky as you could hope for, all sweetness and truffles and friendly staff. Try a spicy chocolate drink, pair it with a sandwich or a piece of art by a local artist. They make a great foil for Fuel Coffee right across the street, motto: Skinny Tall & Bitter.
I got a purple/green hair in a chocolate. Pretty disgusting. I wanted to give them a chance after reading news reviews.
Amazing hot chocolate!! Not too sweet which is perfect!!!!! I wish I could grab one everyday even in summer haha
P cute place! The chocolate truffles were all really good. The Mexican chocolate drink was not great, but the lavender hot chocolate was amazing.
A nice cafe with loads of chocolate selection which are made in the house. I tried their Chocolate coffee and it tasted really good
Good for the small, cafe experience away from the crowds. Literally. With COVID restrictions, they only had about four places to sit. But hey, my wife and I found a seat, which is an accomplishment in Seattle. And the chocolate... mmmmmmm.
The 2nd location I have visited in Chocolate Cafe. The Latte I have got was not as good as the location at Greenwood. It tasted overly heated. And the almond milk did not foam right. Kinda disappointed.I think the owner should have somehow figure out the consist formula for their coffee if it is chain coffee shop. However, I dont taste the similarity at all.Great environment and neat setting, but for the drink quality, I highly doubt I will be back this location soon. Really sad.
A Very cozy coffee store. I had my cup of coffee there on a snowy Saturday on the second floor where the window faces 45th Ave. Its fun to watch the traffic and snow while sipping my steaming hot cup of latte.
Delicious hot chocolate and great decaf espresso. Chocolati has the perfect amount of jankiness I love in a coffee shop. Cute atmosphere, excellent warm lighting and good staff that make great drinks. Everything you need is there and the well worn. The effect making you feel comfortable enough to hang out and work for hours but also just a little broken, but not enough to really bug you. I believe this place drips what my grandmother would call character and I love it on the weekends or in the dark Seattle evenings.
This place is amazing. One of the best coffee shops in town, and definitely has the niche on hot chocolate and mochas. A must visit if you’re in Seattle.
Nice cozy place to grab a drink and work on your laptop. Dim, comfortable setting. Furniture needs refreshing though.
This tasteless establishment deserves 0 but I have to leave 1.
Best place in Seattle to get a mocha, and not just any mocha. There is lavender, salted caramel, and many other mocha sauces all made in house. What i especially love about this Chocolati location is the space itself and interior arrangement - there are two isolated upstairs areas with different vibes. The front side is open to the main area below and is ideal for working in groups or having a conversation. The back upstairs area is more removed and quite and ideal for reading or working alone.
Plenty of seating (2 floors) with outlets for cozy, quiet studying. This place is such a gem for people like me still looking for coffee shop workplaces in the time of COVID, and everything is distanced. To boot, theres also good coffee, delicious chocolate based drinks, and artisanal truffles!
Not so great when you are ignored....not hard to have eye contact and say will be right with you
Great Mochas
Wonderful Chacolati, espresso & americanos in a charming package.
Chocolati always has great service! Their array of syrups is by far superior to any cafe. Check them out!!
Delicious lattes
The coffee is great and the chocolates are amazing. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The neighborhood cafe vibe is solid and the upstairs is a lovely spot to read and work.
Love the coffee and desserts. Great place to study.
Chocolati has the best coffee in Wallingford for sure. They give you a free truffle if its your first time in. its air-conditioned in the summer and nice and cozy in the winter. Great place to just hang out or get coffee or read a book or do some work.
Quaint cafe with amazing service and delicious truffles. Also, they are dog friendly.
Friendly and cozy
Quirky, textured, sometimes cramped, not exactly inexpensive. In other words, exactly what youd expect from an aspiring trendy custom-chocolate themed cafe in Wallingford. My daughter loves it, so I keep going back.Try the lavender hot chocolate once.
Delightful service and delicious hot chocolate. As my local chocolatier, I’ve purchased numerous gifts and personal treats over the years. The quality and service are consistent. We stopped in for a sweet treat after dinner, a first for me. We were treated to great recommendations that lead each of the four us to choices that were quite satisfying. I very much enjoyed a peanut butter hot chocolate with coconut milk - the perfect sipping dessert!
I went in for a coffee the other day. The barista went directly from handling the broom and dustpan to making the coffee. No thank you.
Best hot chocolate in the business. I cant escape a visit whenever Im in the area. You will wait a little while cause one cannot simply whip out a work of chocolate heaven at the drop of a hat. Personal favorite, salted caramel hot chocolate. Go treat yourself.
I am so thankful theres a Chocolati in my neighborhood! Really appreciate it as a third place to go by myself, with my partner, or to meet up with someone for a conversation. Their hot chocolates are really thick and soul -quenching, and they have other drinks for those who dont drink chocolate. Their treats are great too! Lastly, they open till pretty late which is awesome.
This is a cool small business near Green Lake. It’s a solid coffee shop with a yummy focus on chocolate. Coffee was good, too!
Super cozy and the employees are really friendly. On top of that the hot chocolate is amazing and sometimes your drink comes with a few laughs. This is definitely my favorite spot in Wallingford.
The best hot chocolate around (at any of their numerous locations). The chocolate Europa is amazing, so long as you enjoy thick drinking chocolate. To help explain it, Ill just say that if you are unable to finish it, you can put it in the fridge and it will have a chocolate mousse-like consistency the next day. Seating is cramped and this location is often full, but there are three different seating areas and theres usually something, somewhere, available. They also have great iced chocolate drinks, which I recommend during hotter weather or when the fancy strikes.
Im a HUGE fan of the Greenwood Chocolate location. We swung into the Wedgewood location to pick up some hot drinks on our way to a ferry. When we entered no one else was there. We placed an order for some drinks and a few treats. After we arrived a few other people came in. For some reason the employee took other peoples orders but never started making ours. She seemed to be moving in S L O W motion and we didnt get our drinks until 22 minutes later. And dont forget the place was empty when we arrived!
I’ve been here a lot with friends because it’s a cozy place to hang out with friends. If you like chocolate you’ll love this cafe. They offer a variety of in house made chocolates and truffles and pretty mug every kind of hot cocoa you can think of. It’s a nice cozy place to hang out in winter and a fun place to take friends who are visiting from out of town. But don’t come here if you’re avoiding sugar :)
Amazing chocolate. Also has hot chocolate drinks and vegan options. My personal favorite Europa dark chocolate drink and marzipan.
They have the best hot chocolate Ive ever had by leaps and bounds.
Great chocolates, coffee, and hot chocolates at a surprisingly affordable price. The hot chocolates are high quality and super rich - the lavender and turtle flavors are amazing! The atmosphere is casual with plenty of seating but is a little messy; it would make a fine place to study.
When in Seattle we always go by Chocolati....delightful chocolates, Lattes, and sinful Hot Chocolates surrounded by a cozy, college town atmosphere. Comfy couches upstairs and always warm....a plus in the NW! I always buy a pound of their bulk Chocolate to take home to bake with, their German Chocolate is amazing.BTW you may want to ask for non-fat milk for that sinful house special Hot Chocolate, it is incredibly rich, like you were drinking a $50 melted Dark Chocolate Bar.
My dear, Italian, friend ordered a drinking chocolate from chocolati, but could not finish the whole drink. They are incredibly rich and tasty, but maybe its better to purchase a smaller cup. I had a single shot breve, and enjoyed it. There a soft couches upstairs that make for a lovely space for old friends to reminisce. The lighting is pleasant and it was not too loud.
I got the Europa Hot Chocolate with whipped cream. It was an excellent choice between the 3 kinds of Hot Chocolate available. I also got the Rasberry Revenge candy. I hesitated to get it because the name Revenge made me think it was a spicy chocolate which it was not. I thoroughly enjoyed my consumption of this confection.
Amazing chocolate beverages and atmosphere! Ever since I found this place I practically live here. The turtle hot chocolate is sooo decadent, but Ive had about everything on the menu and this place is great whether you have a sweet tooth or love extra dark chocolate, and if you dont like chocolate the coffee is great on its own here. I love coming here to work or study. They always have great music and a cozy atmosphere, and it never gets too loud. Plenty of big and small tables and a few very comfortable couches and chairs. So its great for dates, groups,or a solo excursion.
Love the dark chocolate mocha and the marionberry truffle. Excellent atmosphere. Great place to study late! It got me through board exam studying. Have definitely filled up a few of their loyalty cards for free drinks.
Lovely place to come and do some business on my computer away from home. I love the cayenne hot chocolate and a savory bagel. The salted caramel hot chocolate is also pretty good. Expect an old school coffee shop vibe.
Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days theyre open. Make sure theyre open the day youre down there.
Had Europa dark hot chocolate. Too sweet. There is no unsweetened hot chocolate offered. Odd for a place specializing in chocolate. The whole place is rather grungy especially the bathrooms.Service is friendly but spacey. Server forgot to make one of the drinks we ordered.
Always a fan of this cozy coffee shop...oh if you havent heard they have chocolate and its pretty darn good
This place has amazing hot chocolate that literally tastes like chocolate that has been liquified and blessed by the horns of five hundred unicorns. Theres a super great vibe here too, like youve walked into a cozy blanket made of velvety jazz and mahogany wood. But best of all, the service is absolutely wonderful, with the nicest, chillest people behind the counter. Cant wait to come back.
I have been to Chocolati Cafe quite a few times and have always enjoyed it. The chocolates are wonderful and the coffee is pretty good as well. I wish I would remember their mochas taste more like hot chocolate than an espresso drink, but its still delicious! Definitely a good place to relax while in Wallingford.
Great place to study or meet friends! I love that they have vegan options for their chocolates. Really reasonably priced as well!
Vegan friendly
Some of the best chocolates in Seattle, hands down. Great coffee too, although when it comes to beverages, its their hot chocolate that is truly exceptional. As for truffles, the Cinnamon Aztec and the Wasabi Ginger are my personal favorites.
Stumbled upon this place looking for a cafe to study at. Great music, friendly staff and amazing hot chocolate. I got the lavender dark hot cocoa and it was very rich and very dark. Will definitely be coming again!
Great chocolate and hot beverages. a perfect place to study or chat.
Perfect for that late night coffee run. They also serve a wide variety of chocolate truffles! Quality of the coffee is average, but their late hours and cozy atmosphere make up for a lot.
Been here a couple of different times for various meetings. The staff are friendly, and chocolates are delicious!
Good drinks and little chocolates, reasonable price for the quality. Also if you enjoy Nutella and you want a little kick of caffeine, order a snickers hot chocolate with a shot. Its fantastic
Visited from TX, BEST HOT CHOCOLATE Ive EVER had!!! Best! No joke, from a serious chocolate lover💕! Great & friendly service with a laid back good vibe feel. Thanks CC!
One of few places to get coffee late and study; great service, fine chocolates
Amazing hot coco with lots of non dairy options! Also soooo many chocolate options in general! Cant go wrong at this place whether its a craving for sweets or just looking for a nice place to chill
This place is amazing. The staff are Friendly and lively. The hot chocolate is the best Ive tasted.
Good chocolate but when I ordered a latte they served it to me in a copper mug.... Who in the world would think it was a good idea to serve a hot drink in a metal cup?? It was so hot I needed to use napkins to hold the stupid mug and couldnt even drink it until it was cold because the mug burnt my lips. When I finally could drink it, it was just ok coffee. Not a great experience.
Long line, slow service. Went around 8pm on a Saturday night. They have beer listed on the menu - when my husband ordered one, we were told by the worker that he wasnt licensed. Why would you have a worker on a Saturday night not able to serve alcohol?! Our group of 4 all purchased truffles to eat in the case, they were rock hard from being over chilled. For a chocolate place, we were surprised they would have the chocolates in such a cold case. Truffles should be easy to bite into. First and last time spending money there.
Offered a nice selection of unique chocolate-themed gift items. A little dark/dank feeling, but a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of little seating nooks.
Always the best vegan hot chocolate in Seattle.Careful or else. Youll make it a habit here. I know.
Went in at 9:55 for a cup of coffee before they closed and the barista said that she wouldnt make me one because they were closing in a minute. Hours are listed as open till 10pm. Not 9:56
This is a large two-story café with a separated quiet area. The barista was helpful and friendly during my visit. It turns out there are a lot of things they can make that arent up on the board. For example, I wanted to combine Mexican hot chocolate and a mocha, and apparently thats called a Mexican mocha, and they have a recipe for it. So describe what you want!In my opinion, the chocolate-only drinks are too thick to be satisfying. You need to try a fresh cream truffle, though, and eat it at the shop because it needs to be very fresh!
Great atmosphere, awesome chocolate drinks. This really is a great place to settle in and work
I’ve been going here for years, and the coffee has remained excellent (and for Seattle, well priced). The various chocolate dipped cookies may also be the best from anywhere in the city, and they also serve excellent cream cheese brownies. A little slice of the quirky, pre-instagram, Seattle (near) past.
The best chocolate beverages in town. Usually full. I wouldnt mind if their food options were a bit broader.
Ive visited Chocolati many times, and this is the third time out of four that Ive been disappointed in the Wallingford location. The barista was silent and bored the whole time, and my chocolate drink was poorly mixed, with nearly all the chocolate at the bottom.I highly recommend the Greenwood location instead, where Ive only had good experiences. There plenty of other great places to hang out in Wallingford, like the tea house, feinting goat, or Molly moons.
A lot of flavors to choose from for its thick hot chocolate, great for those days when you want that indulgence. But I come here for how late it is open and the gourmet chocolates. Yum!
The employees were very kind and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It didnt feel over crowded like a lot of coffee shops do. The place is great.
Decent atmosphere. Good amount of space. Would not call this place cozy. Not recommended for curling up on a rainy winter day. Great iced latte!
Wonderful cozy atmosphere. Great chocolate. Loyal locals.
Poor customer service
They use a lot of their homemade chocolate, but they are more then willing to reduce the amount per your taste... I recommend the cayenne mocha with half the amount of chocolate.
Reasonable price and good to study. But super slow wifi. Little bit hot inside in summer.
Best place for hot chocolate! Sitting space is a bit limited but there is an upstairs section. The staff is very friendly.
Great coffee and chocolate truffles. A little pricey on the chocolates but very yummy and the service was great and the ambiance is very nice. I especially like the loft seating area.
Friendly, nice and chill service and environment. Tasty dark hot chocolate.
Friendly staff in a cozy little mom and pop shop. I HIGHLY recommend the hot chocolate!
The best!
Excellent!
Loved the coffee and nut chocolate clusters!
I love the coffee, the music, the employees and the atmosphere!!! I drive from Kent weekly to spend time here. The best thing...chocolate covered pretzels...to die for!!!
Chocolatte and dilettante are hands-down the best hot chocolate in the northwest. The service really depends on the day you go and who is working. I have been a regular at chocolati for over a decade. I keep going back because their product is amazing. I have very mixed reviews of the staff. For many years I used to joke about how slow they were and I wondered if they trained their employees to work as slowly as possible because the consistency was amazing. The long-term employees are usually really awesome but there have definitely been a few duds over the years including the guy that was working in the afternoon at the Wallingford one just a few weeks ago. He was needlessly rude and not just to me.
Their hot chocolate is fantastic! I love getting a cup of milk chocolate salted caramel hot cocoa and a chocolate dipped shortbread cookie. They are heaven together!
I love Chocolati! I dont often order chocolates - they serve Lighthouse coffee, and serve it impeccably - but will indulge every now and then to support this great local business.
