Super creative place for expensive artistic gifts to give people. The art there is very pretty and fun. Their selection of SCAD shirts though aren’t that good, considering they’re an art school. I wish they were a bit more creative and less expensive for a T-shirts. It’s very well maintained inside though and looking at all of the art fun.
We enjoyed the show immensely. It was quiet a presentation. The SCADs shopping experience, not so much. The items there didnt seem to have been made by Students, and it wasnt affordable. We made a donation anyway. The building is a grand, old, stately, gorgeous place.. Enjoyed seeing inside.
Probably a great place to buy that awkward aunt the perfect birthday present or a last minute gift for your mother because you forgot. Eclectic art for sale if youve no idea about buying art and random designed off brand SCAD t-shirts. Bit of a let down and the entire theme of the store does not really hold together.
I have shopped at ShopSCAD both at the physical location and online several times. The collection is well curated, and the employees minding the store are always helpful if I had questions. Shopping online is also a pleasure, and they are quick to communicate if there is an issue. I highly recommend this store.
Loved this place! So much beautiful art work. Enjoyed walking around and seeing everything. Clean and well organized. Great Scad merchandise too. My husband bought a few shirts as pictured. My kind of place as I love art. Neat to see all the different styles. We visited back in late February (pre -covid) so Im not sure if they have changed any rules since then, but definitely recommend checking it out if you have some time.
My wife and I really enjoyed the SCADstory experience. The students did a great job creating the artwork and incorporating the technology to make it a really cool presentation. Its a nice, short break from the Savannah heat and its free! (Unless you choose to make a donation to their scholarship fund - they did not pressure us at all!)
Great original works of art. Nice gallery-like store.
The art is nice, but as a first time SCAD shopper, the following would have made my experience better:- Posted notice if all products are SCAD students and/or alumni or if other goods are sold as well.- Prices by artwork- Signage hung by artwork, like at museums, of media of art, background story of art, students name (maybe) and price.- Entering back hallway which leads to the show, was met more like sentries rather than welcoming. Again, signage would help. I also felt like I could not visit the room across from the store unless I attended the show. Was actually blocked from entering even though I was only asking about it. Just felt like it was a little bit of inconvenience.
Some great pieces that I was tempted to purchase, some were kind of basic and overpriced. Some pieces from makers from around the country, which seemed a bit odd unless those were former SCAD students. Would have been nice to have a placard explaining if they are former students or what.Bathroom is across the street at a cafe for some reason - not sure if thats an actual arrangement or the shop just hopes the cafe doesnt ask why all these SCAD shoppers are choosing to ask their cafe all the time, lol.
Nice store great AC and gifts Very friendly staff
What a fun experience! Its almost like a Disneyland ride. It exceeded my expectations, and it was really cool to learn about the history of SCAD.
I was not as impressed as I thought I would be with this shop. The quality of work was not where I’d expect alums of an art school to be. To be fair there were some beautiful pieces of hand crafted jewelry and some visual artwork that was interesting though the quality of the finished pieces seemed to suffer. A lot of “crafts” type art and less fine art. Also much of the visual art seemed very contrived.
Wow the little free tour they offer is amazing...it was great to see and hear how scad innovates and creates a space for the future to grow and thrive .should be one of the..#ThingstodoinSavanna
Loved SCAD! If I was a student again. I would definitely consider this place.
What a cool store! The art work is made by SCAD Alums. The person working at the shop was very friendly and knowledgeable. Take a break and check it out!
Lots of unique items. Staff very nice and helpful
Really nice place, nice people and the best is the interactive show!
SCAD story 4D experience is really cool and engaging. Check it out if you happen by!
We made a special trip here to shop, and I was so excited to explore and find something original as a souvenir for our Savannah trip. Paid for an hour of parking, expecting a while of browsing. The shop girl unlocked the door and let us in, and I made it through maybe 1/4 of the store before I started to feel sick. Like really sick :( Like that panic, sweaty feeling where you know you have to throw up STAT. I didn’t want to do that in this gorgeous store full of art!I figured if it was a SCAD store, it would be attached to a building with hopefully a restroom. I panic-opened the double door and looked out. Someone was there, and I explained I was just looking for a restroom. She said oh it’s right over there. I start to head that way and the shop girl is yelling and running toward us saying I can’t go in there. Seemed fine with whomever I ran into in the hallway. She got over to us, and I explained I was feeling sick. She directed me to the cafe across the street. Can you imagine that exchange? I run over there to this tiny cafe trying not to be sick on myself and say excuse me where is your toilet even though I’m not a patron? She locks the door to the hallway with a loud click looking at me while I’m standing there. I genuinely hope she never is in that situation and has someone treat her like a subhuman. I clearly had to leave the store, one because I was going to be sick. And two, because being treated like a criminal made me extra sick.To management - this is so unfortunate. I recognize we’re in a pandemic, and we’re taking precautions. If it’s not standard issue to let someone go to the restroom, that’s alright. I would have never looked for one there if it weren’t a genuine emergency! But I really hope the instructions for employees don’t include locking the door in the face of someone who is clearly about to throw up on the carpet. We’re humans. Where is the empathy? If you happen to read this girlfriend, don’t worry - I’m ok now. No thanks to you👌🏻
Agreeing with the previous review. While the art is interesting (and crazy expensive) the employee working there was incredibly rude and unfriendly. We left the store because we felt so unwelcomed. It seems like she simply doesn’t like people, maybe management should consider employing someone who does.
Cute, clean place with a variety of interesting art pieces made from students and alumni! Picked up a few pieces that I cant wait to share with my family. This store was very Covid conscience which I appreciated!
I have bought art here before, trying to support young artists as much as possible however after being treated incredible unfriendly and pushy today (2/6/2021, Saturday morning) by the employee working there I don’t think I will be back. I overheard her being rude to other customers, too so know I was not the only one being treaded like this.
A lovely place exhibiting the works of various SCAD artists. It had various items for sale at touristy prices.
Very cool and unique items to explore.
Cool shop. Lots for sale. Incredibly expensive.
This is SCADs first build. It is great location to visit to get the inspiration and the story of the schools founding.
We took a great tour through here, its like a cross between Hogwarts and the Haunted Mansion. These kids are very talented. You should check it out just for fun!
Such a great shop thats filled with all kinds of unique art and items. Love the style of this shop: the plaid, the wood, etc. - its so fun!We happened to visit right as a presentation was starting. I wasnt too excited since it was about the beginning of SCAD, but it was such a great story! The visual effects, the physical effects, the storyline...all fantastic! Definitely recommend.
This is a wonderful place. It tells how the school was started in a very magical way! I highly recommend taking the time to se it while you visit Savannah!
My daughter found this place. My eldest son is looking at going to school here so we came to see the store put on by students. Enjoyed it and their creativity.
Wow is all I can say. These kids and school are very impressive. Such a fun Disney like presentation also with the history of the school and where they are today.
Location was a small glimpse into the artistic culture that the Savannah College of Art and Design has to offer. The staff was relatively pleasant, but the location left a lot to be desired. My wish was that they would have had clear prices for their art pieces or at least a staff member that was more engaged for those discussions. Aside from that, one can expect many of the unique gift trinkets that the local shops offer.
There is a wide variety of SCAD merchandise sold here. Theres hoodies, shirts, lanyards, sweaters, and much more. Everything is well organized and it looks very nice.
The store has a curated selection of one of a kind items and Savanah School of Art and Design apparel. Items ranged from paintings to pottery to cards and jewelry.
SCAD is the bomb! I loved touring and cant wait to attend. The shops prices were good and the items were very creative.
Greeted outside and once again inside. Some interesting art.
Very nice store and student gallery. Nice to have such access to the facility as a tourist. Beautiful location and building.
Love it everyone was so friendly and cant believe it freeMy son who is 9yrs feel in love he was like maybe he go to college there
Expected better
Very cool place. Make you get to see the 4D show.
Was in a beautiful area of Savannah showcased students art had an excellent video of how SCAD started with a womans dream
Wonderful original works of art
A seemingly random selection of mostly very expensive stuff, haven’t found anything interesting or original. The building is stunning though
Interesting shop of the students work. From paintings to jewelry, to cutting boards. Not sure if everything in there is actually made by students. I didnt find anything special to take home.
I visited years ago and fell in love with this store. On a recent return visit to Savannah, I just had to stop by. Although its still super cute, it didnt seem to have as many local artists featured and prices seemed very expensive.
Incredible selection of high quality art, jewelry, and uniquely designed wearables and decorative items.
SCAD is a great place to go! Just be there, makes you want to SHOP SCAD! AND purchase something with their name on it!
Beautiful little art gallery, nice array of jewelry, paintings, sculpture. Look in the drawers u der the jewelry counter. Helpful staff.
Very entertaining
Funky, quirky, interesting, friendly
Great place. Beautiful craft. Guys are really nice and friendly!! Highly recommend it!!!
Cool stuff. A must go for unique gifts
Beautiful jewelry selection- artists from all over the US.
I like the idea, a store selling items designed and made by students at the nearby SCAD school, though in practice there wasnt much that caught my eye. The art for sale in the back was interesting though a bit pricey. The jewelry and household items were not exceptionally unique and nothing really stood out. Very nice staff though and the building itself, an old arsenal, is worth the visit.
Enjoyed this student art gallery while shopping in Savannah. Anybody that appreciates art will love this little shop. I found a lot of gifts for the entire family on my trip.
Eclectic art and design concepts. Very expensive student work. Modern day art is alive and well.
Enjoyed the SCAD story video.
Good gift ideas...pricey but unique stuff
Always something new and interesting to see here.
Good variety of things.
So many great crafts and art pieces. We came back again the next day to revisit and purchase some of our favorites from the first day.
Fun way to see what the students of SCAD are creating! They have student led yours also.
Really cool shop. Great items for gifts
Unexpected visit. So fun
Great place, always something new there from the SCAD community

Lovely shop. Full of unique art, furniture, and jewelry.Worth a visit.
Very few articles on sale. Mostly a gallery for display.
Must Must Place to visit in Savannah !Make sure to attend the 4D tour (free)It a 15 minute out of the world experienceAnd the hosts make it even better !
Cool collection of student works.
I’m not too familiar with HOW things get created but in comparing these products to similar support-local-artists stores back in my hometown St. Pete, FL the prices here were HIGH. Although styles varied, the materials appeared similar to what I was comparing… so am I missing something? Ah well—pricing is in the eyes of the beholder. Still, I really enjoyed just browsing around and looking at everything from the same eyes as if I was visiting a gallery. It’s all unique works so of course the variety is insane. Next to the jewelry there’s bath products, lotions, then wrapped textiles, 3D paintings, dolls… you get the idea. The creativity is all over the place. There is a common ‘bold style’ that is subtly repeated in many of the things you see—this is the type of art you see inside dark-wood coffee shops.
Great place to see and purchase SAD art work.
Always fabulous art.
Cool spot. Didnt buy anything but they had some really cool art.
Very informative.
It was ok... nothing about it really stood out, but there was some nice art.
Great historical place
Prices a bit high
Interesting collection of works by students and alumni
