Its been a crazy work week so I wasnt able to leave this review sooner, but I want to shout out Lucinda at Underground in the Oglethorpe Mall for incredible customer service. I had an issue with a return and working in customer service myself I completely understand the difficult position Lucinda was in. However, she, and Katrina on the customer service call line went above and beyond to make sure that I got the shoes that I needed and handled the whole situation with empathy and professionalism that I have rarely experienced elsewhere in this city. I was truly and honestly blown away. There are a ton of places to get converse and vans, but my money will go to this store every time.
If you love something buy it because they always seem to be low on inventory!
Store employees that are men, flirt with girls (it can be a 16 year old) to buy shoes and to listen to their flaws. But the male employees; seriously flirt to make a sale and they get these kids to a level where they have to buy because they think the male employees have crushes on them.I was ordering shoes online and the main manager lied to me about a certain shoe that was in stock, but didn’t use the other Journey stores to look it up, when I saw it on my phone and it was available. But I was using cash because they did not have a certain shoe in stock, so I went with my second choice. Of course, they get incentives for in store online purchases, so they will smile all day.Then my order was cancel due to Black Friday and audits not being up to date, called the store didn’t sympathize with me, just gave me the number. The number was disconnected because of the surge of phone calls of people’s orders getting canceled and cyber Monday. So, I call back the store and a female employee picks up, I ask for the manager. She told me to call back in 10 minutes. I asked her, if I can leave my number for him and if he can call me back. She took down my phone number and the store manager NEVER called back.FYI, if you make any purchase with any Journeys in store with cash and your order gets canceled... They will not send you a refund unless; you call, and it takes 7 to 10 business days to receive your refund through a check, when you used cash. For an e-gift card it takes 3 to 5 days to show up in your email. I refused what they offered. And was persistent and they got me a gift card right away with a pin, $10 credit, and 15% off. And I got the shoes I wanted ordered not the secondary ones that the store manager didn’t take time to look up.I like Journeys, but I will not shop at the underground one, anymore. The employees don’t care, if they ordered online for you. The employees get the incentive no matter what; even if the company cancels the order due to the shoes being miscounted and cannot give you your ordered shoes. Store Manager is not Management Material.
