I had a great experience working with Rob Welling and Jason as they brokered a Riviera 445 SUV for my wife and I to buy. They knew the brand, the model, and the market. They worked with my Wife and I as we looked at different brands and models and spoke to all of the features and performance. We chose the 445 SUV and could not be happier. Rob continues to answer questions as they arise with quick and timely responses. When we sell/purchase again, they will be the go to broker.

We started looking for the boat of our dreams and met a different broker at a marina. The agent would not give us the time of day, pointed us down the dock and said let me know what you think . So we walked next door and Met Stacy at SYS she worked so hard looking and taking us to local boats trying to find that right one. which she finally found for us. Let me start by saying that Rob Welling is the very best. When I began looking for a boat well into the six figure price tag range, Rob was recommended to me by a friend. He spent a great deal of time with my wife and me thinking about boats that would fit our mission. He has thousands of hours of experience captaining boats so he knows way more than most. We found a really nice slightly used 36 Whaler and Rob started to really shine. He was physically present with me at every turn (e.g. the survey, sea trial, review of paperwork and delivery). He was exceptional during the negotiation and the paperwork with SYS was effortless. I couldnt have been more pleased. The key with Rob is he truly loves his work and enjoys investing in people. Hes all about relationships, for the long-term. He wants you in the right boat, even if it means waiting. For Rob, its not about the sale but about making the customer happy. When I make the decision to upgrade to a newer boat, theres only one call I will make. Oh, I forgot to mention, Rob made the trip from Venice to Key West with my family and me on the boat so we could gain a level of comfort. He charged me nothing. Just said, this is what I do.

We met Rob Welling last year quite by accident while walking by one of SYS listings at Marina Jack in Sarasota. My boyfriend was casually walking by and snapped a picture of a 45’ Azimut to send me as a “hey wouldn’t it be cool if” text. Rob happened to be walking by and asked Mark if he’d like to take a look at it, totally casual, and Mark said sure. We were kind of talking about buying a boat at that point, but hadn’t even started looking. Rob was so cool about offering to help us search, found us a boat within days that we put an offer in and couldn’t come to terms on, and then ultimately we ended up buying the Azimut a few weeks later. Then the magic happened….Rob is so service oriented and client satisfaction focussed that he took us under his wing and made it seem so easy to own a boat that size. The biggest I’d ever ran was 28’! He arranged everything, and I mean Everything! Surveyors, mechanics, cleaning people - spent days teaching us to drive and moor it. Absolutely incredible above and beyond type service! We ended up selling the Azimut one year to the day later for almost what we paid for it and Rob found us our perfect 44’ Aquila Powercat and has been just as amazing through that purchase as well! I highly recommend Rob Wellings for his knowledge, captain and boat experience and mostly his friendly (no problem at all) demeanor, and SYS as a broker for their exceptional customer service, honesty and integrity in ensuring their clients are protected for these complex transactions and stay with them long after the purchase is completed.

Robert Angel, was our yacht salesman, from the very beginning he far exceeded our expectations. His approach was one of information and willingness to assist us in our search. He made every effort to accommodate us in showing us the yacht as well as providing information. Never did he undermine other boats or other brokerages. His diligence continued through out, the survey and acceptance of the vessel. He has been a huge asset in providing quality trade references to assist us in necessary preparations for transport of the yacht to our home port. As well being available meet and give trades access to complete the work weve scheduled. Steve started out very nice until he didnt get his way, then look out! They will not budge and clearly have more options than your one boat to show people. There was NO WORK or EFFORT. I normally do not submit reviews but had to make an exception in this case. Doug Mashke Sr. has been an outstanding advisor for us as we progressed through the process of purchasing a yacht. As a salesperson, there was no pressure even though we took 2 years to decide what we really wanted. Doug patiently helped us through that journey in a way others do not. We are very pleased with our ultimate decision and can comfortably recommend Doug to anyone going though this process. By the way, we closed a month ago and he is still helping out whenever we need something!

We used SYS Yacht Sales to sell our 56’ Carver Voyager. Alex Rowe was amazing! We are new to Sarasota so Alex coordinated necessary repairs to the boat to get it ready to list. At one point Alex spent a couple hours getting greasy helping with repairs! He then helped us stage the boat and hired a photographer to take photos and drone video. We had our first offer within a week!! Throughout the process Alex always made himself available to answer questions and handle issues. During the inspection process Alex was a firm negotiator which saved us thousands of dollars. Alex is very knowledgeable and truly goes above and beyond. Thanks Alex!

We first met Alex Rowe when we wanted to purchase a power boat for use in Florida. Our previous experience had been sailing boats around Scotland. Alec was very helpful in explaining what was required and suggesting suitable boats. He arranged our first purchase but unlike some sales people he has always kept in touch to see how we are getting on. In the early stages he helped us find some good contractors which is not always easy. We have always found him to be fair and likeable and would like to do further business with him if the opportunity arises. We highly recommend Alex if you are looking to sell or purchase a boat.As a follow up to the review above.Alex has always kept in contact with us in an unobtrusive manner over the last 7 years since we purchased our original boat with his help. As U.K. citizens we are currently excluded from returning to Florida due to Coronavirus restrictions and took the difficult decision to sell our much loved Prestige 500. We spoke to Alex about our situation and he thought that he could find a buyer at a fair price. We decided to put our trust in Alex’s expertise in the industry which was rewarded in Alex finding a buyer and closing the deal in just over a month. The fact that we could not return to Florida to help with the process made life more difficult for the buyers, ourselves and Alex but Alex just dealt with the situations as they arose including spending a day removing all our personal belongings from the boat and transporting them to our house..In my original review I highly recommended Alex if you were looking to purchase or sell a boat. We took our own advice and once again we found Alex to be very professional, motivated and organized. We wish him well for the future.

I want to share our satisfaction dealing with Robert Angel at SYS Yacht Sales in Sarasota FL.He was knowledgeable. personable, and extremely helpful when showing us a Grady White boat he had listed. We never felt rushed or pushed. He worked with our broker in Stuart and arranged a marine surveyor, an engine surveyor and sea trial. Even after the boat was delivered he was available with information, tips, and advice since this was a larger boat than the one we had before. Our experience buying a boat from Robert Angel and SYS could not have been better.

Jason of SYS was very rude when ask if he was going to be long occupying the loading and unloading zone at Marina Jack with SYS golf Cart while he was having a conversation with another individual. His response was “yes he was”. The other individual suggested they move so I could unload my vehicle. That was appreciated! They moved to a handicap parking space for over 30 minutes while just conversing. No loading or unloading was ever done! As a boat owner (at Marina Jack) that is on SYS mailing list, I’m puzzled by the level of courtesy this individual displayed!

We recently purchased a 05 cruisers 405 MY. SYS treated us like we were buying a mega yacht from them. The entire staff did a remote closing working with the bank, Insurance, etc. Rhianna was great.Our broker Doug Sr was knowledgeable and experienced. Most of all credible which is refreshing. He provided personal instruction on operation of the boat, navigating and docking.

What a wonderful experience. After being with another broker for over 6 months without any action I chose to change to Wayne Seel. Alex Rowe has been helping my family with everything pertaining to boating since we moved to Florida. Most recently he helped us acquire a 420 Sundancer at a price we didnt think was possible. Your company name and description only scratches the surface of what you really do. Yes you sell, and yes you service, but you did far more than that for me as a long distance buyer. First, you were extremely helpful and professional in showing me the 2900 Tiara that I was interested in. The seller should be very happy with the way you kept the boat show ready at your dock. It was so impressive that after driving and traveling hundreds of miles to look at over 10 boats this one showed itself off in the best possible way. Second, you thoughtfully took me through the purchase process and effectively helped me negotiate the best deal. And lastly, and for me the most important part was that after the deal was done it didn’t even cross your mind to abandon me. You were there for over 2 months helping me accomplish all the items I needed and wanted to get done with an outstanding network of service providers who were as good as you.
