Great Experience! Can say enough good about Tom Hanshaw, he was upfront, patient and truthful with us. I never felt pushed or pressured one time. We ended up buying a 282 Sportsman after sea trialing other boats. Tom was more concerned about us getting the boat that fit our family, then just making a sale. **UPDATE*** Ive updated from 1 start to 2 1/2 (can only do full starts though). After the original post of not being able to get anywhere with what was promised I suddenly got prompt responses and both the lean post and seat cushion no longer than a month from the bad review. So ultimately they did do what was promised but it ended up taking me running out of patience and posting a bad review to get someone to respond.I purchased a 2015 Sportsman 251 CC boat from Erickson in August of 2020 and should have known, from the fact that nothing was ready when pickup was scheduled, the kind of experience they would deliver. I have in writing that they owe me a seat cushion and the lean post on the center console seat back. Needless to say it is now almost April 2021 and I have nothing. I also cant get responses and cant get anyone to give me an answer. I have the promises in writing and yet they still could care less. If you value honesty and someone that cares beyond a sale then shop elsewhere. If they provide what was promised Ill gladly update the review but I dont trust they will. Ive been pretty patient considering Ive been waiting 7 months for these items and have had to reach out to get a hold of anyone, they NEVER call with an update and Tom, the sales guy, doesnt even respond. Clearly unconcerned with their clients after the sale.

I recently purchased a Contender from Tom at Erickson Marine. From deciding on options to overall customer service it was the best boat buying experience I have had. Tom was by far the most helpful and non pushy salesman I have ever worked with in purchasing an item. He constantly took my calls and updated me on the status of my build. He was always honest and forthcoming if there were going to be any delays. A perfect example of his exemplary customer service happened back in October when me and my wife were heading out of town on our boat for our anniversary. I determined we had a cracked fuel filter and were leaking fuel, I immediately called Tom and he dispatched mechanics to the nearest boat ramp to fix the issue! You cannot get better customer service than that! My whole trip would have been ruined if it were not for Tom! The service department has always been awesome and helped me with any modifications or service and done a fantastic job! These guys are great.just ordered a 267 that chad helped me figure out.i literally called every day with questions trying to do my do diligence on boats.he always got back to me every time.i wanted details that most probably dont care about. They were fair on my trade.i would drive 1300 miles to buy from them.( which I did)Awesome people. Dont hesitate to go there.no bs down to earth people. Lastly they didnt try playing number games with boats.cant wait to get it.

These guys are top notch. We were making a trip from Orange Beach to the Keys on our new Sportsman and had an issue with the T-top and footrest. We were passing through Sarasota so we called Erickson. Even though we didn’t buy the boat from Erickson they went above and beyond to help us out. Within an hour of being on the phone they had one of their techs meet us at a marina and got all the issues fixed. Their service guys do some great work and are real knowledgeable.

Buyer beware. I bought a boat from this company in 2019. I have waited to write this review in hopes of some resolution but has been none. Since my purchase they have not lived up to any of the reviews I read on the internet. After the boat was paid for it was delivered to Maryland, not serviced not detailed with incomplete paperwork and a bill from the transport company. Within 15 minutes of the 1st launch I get high temp alarm from on board display. This is a 37 foot twin Verado vessel above 200K...I trailered the boat...and took to a Verado service center to receive an invoice for over $2300.00 ...which Dave made good on..Im past the boat not being serviced, not being detailed, the trailer burning bearings up during transit from not being serviced or checked. My issue is that the trailer the boat was delivered on is not and never was conformed to this boat. To this day I have issues trailering this boat which is half the problem. The other half is theres not title for this trailer. This boat was delivered to Maryland with no title. After several phone calls and a few emails I have nothing to facilitate getting a legal title for this trailer in Maryland. I was told by Tom the salesman that Florida does not usually issue titles on boat trailers. Definitely not the case in Maryland. I was never told I would not have a title for the trailer. This has been a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this dealer to any friend of mine. I have text messages call logs and a few emails to reference for any disputes.

I recently bought a Robalo R242EX at Erickson Marine. The entire experience was very positive from Corey, the salesman, Will, who delivered the boat and Dave in service who is resolving my transducer issue. They are all truly knowledgeable and friendly.I am having my 20 hour service done there next week and I’ll follow up with another review when the boat is returned.

Sales team does not work together and sold a boat I was planning to buy, clearly not focused on customers. At the time, I was the only person interested in the boat. We had a negotiated price and sea trial date. The salesperson said the earliest I could sea-trial was 3 days after the negotiation. I was Craiglisted (when a seller does not care about their brand and sells at earliest convenience to first person). The sales team sold the boat to a broker versus a local customer (I have a condo on Longboat Key). Upon perusing other reviews, this is definitely a place to avoid. There are so many options in FL, why choose a poorly run dealer.

Be Careful with integrity at this place, once the sale your on ur own. Tom is one of the worst sales rep we had a not so pleasure dealing with. My advise is to find a more appreciative company of your business.

I will not attempt to deal with the business again!!! I have a Robalo 302 and not that it matters, is the top model Robalo builds. Call 3 times to the parts department and on the one time I actually connected with someone the person rushed me off the phone and told me they would call me back. And... guess what? No phone call! Im trying to spend my money at your store and cannot no matter how hard I try. I own a automobile dealership in Canada and I can tell you without a doubt, we wouldnt be in business if we ran ours like this. My boat did not come from Erickson as I just moved to the area, however if you cant sell me parts you for sure wont sell me my next boat.

As a 20 plus year veteran boater I have experienced a number of boat dealerships and service centers around West Central and South Florida. By far, Ericksons Marine has the best service levels I have ever experienced. My 282 Sportsman had an issue with the windlass and some electrical issues while under warranty and Ericksons had a mobile mechanic at my marina within a day of my calling it in. They have my highest recommendation.

Please take the time to read my review & SHOP ELSEWHERE! I inquired about a used vessel 4 days prior to driving to the dealership in Sarasota. I conversed about the vessel numerous times both over the phone & email, inquiring about its condition, consistently being told that its immaculate. So I told the salesman that I would make the 96 mile (one way) trip first thing Saturday morning. When I arrived, the boat was unsightly, VERY dirty. I even requested a video of the outside & inside of the vessel prior to our trip, however the salesman stated that he didnt have enough memory on his phone, so he sent me a handful of worthless pictures. I asked if a counterpart could video and send to me, but no response. I should have known at that moment there was something not right, shame on me!Needless to say, when I arrived onsite at the dealership, the boat was filthy and the salesman was VERY unprofessional and could care less about a sale. I have been engaged with numerous dealers over the last 3 weeks, and NOT one was as unprofessional as this individual. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking! It was a horrific experience!!!

I would highly recommend buying your boat here. I had two boats to trade in, one of which I had been trying to sell for some time at another marina in St. Pete. I wanted to buy the Sportsman 211 Heritage Premium package, center console. Most marinas did not want to know or deal on any level with 2 trade ins. My salesman Bob however put a very good deal together right away and included a 5 year warranty at no extra cost. I know it sounds improbable but the deal was so fair I didnt even argue. And I always argue.But the biggest surprise came on the day of closing. Both my trade ins were now at Erickson Marine and picked up by them. Nice. We closed in the am. The Marina I was trying to sell one of the trades ins calls in the pm to say they sold the boat. Finally and I could not believe I no longer owned that boat. Long and short Bill the owner gives me my boat back and I get the extra $4G. He did not have to do that. It was his boat on trade. A real gentleman. Bills son Chris, a real pro delivered my new boat and spent time with me on all the require and Bob best salesman ever. My brother bought his boat here too.

We purchased a 2008 Chaparral from Erickson Marine and they exceeded our expectations. We came to see the boat on short notice and were not deterred that it wasnt clean at the time. When we came back for the sea trial, the boat was spotless. They did a thorough check of everything on the boat. They did a lot of work on the engine and it was in tip-top shape. Erickson even replaced some faucets and speakers that were functional but they didnt like the way they looked or sounded. They went above and beyond what we expected. Weve had friends and family on the boat and they are amazed at what great shape its in. I purchased my incredible Nor-tech 390 Sport in September 2017. The only thing better than the performance and functionality of this vessel is the incredible service I continue to receive from the Erickson family. I’ve owned many boats before, and purchased them all from one local dealer and manufacturer who were both very dependable when it came to the service I received.....so living in Pinellas County I was originally concerned about buying a boat so far away, thinking of the availability of service.....well needless to say that has never been an issue. I fish 250-300 hours a year, so time is very valuable to me, especially when it comes to servicing my boating needs.....The Erickson’s are available when needed on very short notice, they have even come to me to take care of minor warranty needs...HUGE PLUS!!!!The buying process was very simple, Bill gave me top dollar for my great trade, and we easily came to an agreement on the new vessel. When it came time to close, I didn’t owe a penny more than agreed (that is a first in 15 years of owning boats). They are honest, kind, dependable, and friendly...They sold me a boat that I didn’t think I could ever afford, and now I can’t imagine not having it. Bought a used 2014 25T Contender with low hours a few weeks ago.I live in Durham, NC...the transaction went smoothly and professionally via emails and phone calls.My son and I worked through the long distance process with Tom...he could not have been more helpful. When we arrived to pick up the boat to trailer it home (not fun), Tom had everything ready for us, took us for about an hour water test, and went over all the mechanical workings of the boat.
