Excellent boating center to work with

I was looking for a pedal kayak on line and came across Nautical Ventures webiste that showed a big collection of kayaks and paddle sports equipment in a store showroom. Finding the local office in Sarasota I went over to check out the products in person. Much to my surprise the Sarasota office is relatively new and, while they have a large collection of good looking boats on site, they were just coming up to speed on getting some paddle inventory in. I met Hunter Gore and Tyler Atherton and they explained how the office was still in the process of getting fully established. Nevertheless they immediately helped by coordinating with their other store to order my Old Town Topwater 120 PDL and had it delivered and set up for me to pick up in 5 days. The guys were professional and knowledgeable, the paperwork was simple and I now have a nice full body workout machine (paddle and pedal) to use. Very helpful in this time of self isolating for the virus. Great experience overall.

Don, the salesman, was excellen; he worked with me all the way, he listened to my concerns and understood my needs as a first time boat owner and guided me to the perfect boat. He continues supporting me and is willingly offering training for both my wife and I. I couldn’t be more pleased with his help throughout the whole process.

This place is owned by the same people that own the one in holiday. The one in holiday is a group of liars and thieves. Use caution and be real skeptical of anything told to you. I bought a boat at store in holiday I was told they would fix all the blemishes and repair the broken items this was never done. In the beginning I dropped it off and was told give us time. 7 weeks later it was dropped off with nothing done. Since then I have received one call a year later and told them what was still broke ( I paid out of pocket even tho I have a warranty ). And have never heard from them again.

I called on starcraft boats to the big store in Holiday and the one I wanted was in Sarasota and since I live in North Port, they recommended I visit this store instead. Went to look at several starcraft boats and was assisted by cat very nicely. she is pleasant and got along with myself and my wife. Very nice young lady and willing to take the time to answer everything.i came back later to show my uncle and aunt one of the boats and regretfully met Erik. wow. he was arrogant, rude, and totally turned me off to anything. told me how much he knew how what a professional fisherman he was how he was this and that. very know it all. made me feel stupid for asking what probably were stupid questions to him but were important to me! I guess cat earlier told me something incorrect but thats okay but he said oh well i am the owner and shes my assistant so thats why she is that and Im the owner. very rude! i dont think she is an assistant?? Erik, as the owner, you should treat customers AND other employees with respect! I owned several established television and electronics stores in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and I always treated everyone with kindness and respect, and always spoke hightly of my staff.I still want to buy a boat but will ONLY work with cat from now on and recommend you do the same! pretty store, nice selection of affordable boats.....and some very nice expensive ones!....but do your self a favor and only ask for cat! She will treat you with respect!

Went to look at a boat there. Was working with a salesperson from Holiday white was great and told me to look at this particular boat in their Sarasota location. Within minutes I felt like I was talking with the flim flam man.....it was so obvious he was fos! Told him I would get back to him and he said make sure you ask for me because he was the owner. So I called the salesman I was working with in Holiday and told him I looked at the boat and met the owner. He said I couldnt have because he was sitting next to the owner.....hmmmmMaybe he was a silent owner....lol
