This is a very small shop. The shelves were barely stocked, but they did have hair! If you need a wig, and not supplies, youre going to be ok. My mom and aunt were able to get a wig. My aunt bought a pair of earrings. So, it wasnt a bad trip after all.

I wish I could leave a positive review but all other review must be friends of the owner or something. This store has a very low selection of products. Maybe their wig selection is better I did not look at it but the product selection is awful!! Horrible. The store seems unclean. It’s very dark. I got out as fast as I walked in. With such low options this city is prime picking for someone who wants to open a black beauty supply store.

Horrible! Bad selection of products. Very low variety. They did not have what I needed and no option I would consider. The store seems very low grade. Also the cashier was very unprofessional and made an inappropriate comment in my opinion. I would never step foot in this place again. I hope someone has another option for African Americans in this area. This is the worst beauty supply store I have ever seen. I wish I could give it less than one star.

Edit: I really like(ed) this store. The selection is amazing. They just never open on time. Twice now ive come at 9am the hours that are posted online and on the door and they were not open. Currently been waiting for 30 mintues to go in, luckily my stylist is understanding.Today was my 3rd and final time i went at 945 and the shop was not open with signs and google clearly stating they open at 9. I really want to support black local businesses but this is just a disregard for customers. 😕 i will not be returning.

Well Ive been coming to NY Connection for years even when the store was twice as big! I can always find what I need and Maurice is nice and professional with each visit and for those that like to complain, you have to consider that hes Single Handedly running the shop

Went in there yesterday the man at the counter was rude, I said hello when entering and he said nothing didn’t ask me if I needed help, walked from behind the counter and walked passed me straight over to another customer as if I was invisible, I waited until he was finished helping her and thought I was going to be helped next; another customer comes in and he immediately ran to help her. Wow! I left with my money in my wallet and will NEVER 👎🏽 be up in that establishment again.

2 weeks ago I desperately was looking for hair extensions for my upcoming wedding. I found this location on google and was one of the many locations I visited and called between Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota and Bradenton. Let me just say from the moment I walked into Mr. Maurice store at Ny beauty in Sarasota he was the only realistic, amazing and professional individual that knew what he sells and his hair!! I was running out of time as my big day is 4/24 and he went above and beyond and told my fiancé and I, (if you can’t find it let me know I will do my best to help) well he did more than that I called him a week ago asked if he was able to order the color I needed and this gentleman placed me an order and kept his word! I received the call today that my order had arrived and was ready for pick up!🙌🏼 Im forever thankful to this man! That is the true meaning of customer service ! So ladies and gents I definitely suggest this location for anything you need! He has it all and will definitely go out his way to make sure his customers are happy and satisfied! MUST STOP BY!! Travis is a amazing and so helpful!! I dont live in the area but recently went to a different beauty supply right across the street. I had such a bad experience, they were so rude and didnt have what i was looking for. I decided to take my money elsewhere. I went to NY beauty and met Travis he talked to me about what I was looking for and was SO knowledgeable. I went in thinking I needed one thing and after him spending time with me showed me that i was looking for the complete wrong thing. I was so excited to work with him. The variety was amazing and they had so many different option and colors. I went home that night and my bf could not get over how amazing my hair looked. I was so happy that i stopped there and cant reccomend Travis and Maurice enough.

I just want to say ! I love this place .A wide selection, very very helpful! When my Luxy hair extensions didn’t arrive on time for my event, N.Y. Beauty Supply came to my rescue. I bought 2 sets of clip in La Nova extensions 18” and 22” I have medium thickness grown out lob . After I purchased, I tried them on in store and they were helpful in giving me tips to do clip ins as I never have before. I will definitely be back . Shop and support local!
