I went in with 0 expectations wanting to color my hair purple. June went through the painstaking process of bleaching and then coloring and it turned out amazing. Thank you June for the journey. This is the best hair place.

Angelo was able to fit me in last minute to fix my color which I had messed up by bleaching and toning my hair at home. He did a great job and my hair color now looks fabulous. He and his team are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

The Greatest Color/Corrections Specialist around. Ive seen alot of different colors come in, including myself, leave a much better looking person every time. Ive also done straighteners and cuts there. And all services are well worth the tine and place.

I have to start off by saying I am so happy and thank you!!!! I had a really bad hair color mess.. I needed it corrected so bad I just couldn’t even stand looking at myself in the mirror! I drove all around town calling salons after salon and each one I talked to did not want to do it. My hair was bleached badly and I was stuck with orange/reddish hair which I could not stand! I wanted the color to be bright blonde. Obviously the task was too hard and no one wanted to tackle it because they did not want to ruin my hair or maybe they just didn’t know how!! Lucky for me I found hair color center called them up and they said yes please come In. I was greeted very kindly by Mr. Angelo and his wife and the woman working in the store. I really felt comfortable inside which usually I get anxiety when I do things like this. I sat down on the chair I told them I did not have a lot of money and they said don’t worry we will take care of you. He was able to do my hair right then and there!! I got lucky for once. He said people swear he has a magic wand and I am here to agree!! My hair is amazing!! It’s bright blonde just like I wanted and I can not stop looking at it! With 65 years experience If you need your hair corrected really I swear he is the guy!! He’s very sweet and mindful I recommend them to the moon and back!! Love this place ....only get my hair done about every 2 years or so and they have made me look amazing just letting them do what they think is me and got it right every time.... its been a little over 2 yrs now so Im over due... but they know there stuff....and when I first went they didnt have enough time to do what I wanted and had me back at no cost later to finish the job right... ❤❤❤❤

The Hair Color Center is an incredible place to be. Angelo is a color genius, Cindy gives the best haircuts, and Lesley is an expert doing up-dos! Simply put, this is THE PLACE TO GET YOUR HAIR COLORED by truly knowledgeable professionals. No its not a hip and trendy looking place. I have been to hip and trendy having lived in NYC for 30 years. However I had to move to Sarasota to find an establishment of this calibre. Why? Read the owners bios on their website or ask to speak to Angelo directly. The owner (partners in business and life) were major players for Clairol back in the day. As I understand it, they were instrumental in designing hair color and were deployed worldwide to establish and uphold brand standards and application techniques. The place is run with almost military precision by the co-owner, while Angelo does his magic and with a watchful eye on his talented staff. That staff has to meet very high standards. I am devoted to CINDY, but I observed that everyones clients walk out feeling transformed and in a state of euphoria. The prices are reasonable. The attached store is worth checking out even if you dont get your hair done as it carries the most exciting and compressive selection of products that I guarantee you wont find anywhere else under one roof.

I had three different colors of blonde ( dark, light, brassy) in my hair, not including the roots. Angelo is fantastic. He got me to a beautiful color and I absolutely love it. Trust in Angelo to do a fantastic job. Walked out with a great cut too! Prices are great too!

I am so happy to find this salon! Angelo made sure he understood what I wanted and then expertly assessed my color needs and applied the products. Then Cindy styled my hair after consulting with me on what I needed and wanted. It looks fabulous. My hair is very thick, long and wavy. I am very happy with this experience and highly recommend this salon.

You need to go to go to this place! You won’t be disappointed! After relocating to Sarasota, from up north, it was time for me to find a new hairdresser. We all know that can be a challenge. I did try a few other places and had “ok” experiences. However, I still wasn’t thrilled and was spending a lot of money. So I happened to see a girl with a cute hair style and color. I asked where she went and she immediately wrote down the name of the Hair Care Center and included her stylist Lori. She said, you need to go to this place! So I went and all of the other great reviews you’ve read are absolutely correct. This place has the very nicest people and a fun atmosphere. Oh, and talk about product with great prices! Plus Lori listened to my needs and gave me a great cut and also took time to discuss products with me. I even got to have an opinion of my current hair color from the infamous Angelo and he said to leave it as is, which made me feel so much better! Then Donna and Jesse really helped with my questions regarding other products. I’m still smiling thinking about the whole experience. Hope you’ll try it! I certainly will be telling everyone I know to go there!

I had an appointment at the Hair Color Center about a week ago. BEST HAIR SALON EXPIERENCE EVER!!! They take their time to really give you the best service!!! Everyone was super friendly and accommodating! I loved everything about it AND it was affordable!!! I moved to the area a few months ago and so blessed that I tried this place because I will never go anywhere else!!!

I met Leslie and Angelo at the restaurant where I worked in the early 1980s. Leslie has cut and permed my hair ever since. I get a perm every three months that adds up to over 150 perms and twice as many haircuts. I always get compliments on my curls and most people think they are natural. I only wish. Lol. I would not trust anyone else to do my hair. They also have a huge supply of products that are buy 2 get 1 free. So I buy all my hair products there as well. Check it out and you will be hooked.....

Angelo is by far the best colorist in this area. He has years of experience working with the Clairol line of color. When Clairol changed their formulas a few years ago, they flew Angelo to New York to get his expert opinion . That says a lot !Along side Angelo, is his wife Lesley. Love this place people give great service. My stylist, Lori, is fantastic and skilled. I have a mixed texture hair and she always gets it perfect. I am in college getting my Phd in PA and wait to come home her in Sarasota for her to cut my hair on break. Shes amazing.

Leslie cut my hair last week, and she did a solid okay job. She was knowledgeable and fun, but she did not actually *listen* to what I wanted, and more or less and gave me direction on what I wanted. I.E. - I wanted bangs, she cut a few frontal strands shorter, and told me to redirect them. It was good advice, but I just wanted bangs. However- she did give me a nice solid hair cut which my boyfirend agreed was nice. It was a bit too expensive. $30 for the cute and $40 for the blow dry. For the price, I wish I would have gotten bangs too.

1st time at this salon. Angelo did an outstanding job of coloring my hair just the way I wanted it done. Angelo, Lesley, and all of the staff at Hair Color Center did an outstanding job of explaining products and restoring my hair back to normal again.

Last week I decided to try to lighten my very dark roots to blend in with my grown out platinum hair... as you might guess, the result was a horrendous patchy mess of orange, brown, yellow blonde, and white. I bawled my eyes out, phoned a friend, and came to the conclusion that my head was beyond repair. On the hopes of salvaging a tiny fraction of its former glory I went to Hair Color Center today and let the Artist, Angelo work on it... I. Am. Blown. Away. It far exceeds anything I couldve dreamed and looks better than ever before!!!! Really, I cant believe someone could get this gorgeous dimensional color when starting with a nice pallet, much less what I walked in with!!! And the team!!! Oh my goodness I truly fell in love with everyone who assisted in the making of this miracle. They are all so kind and dear and were ready to help me and make me comfortable any way they could. Highly recommend this little slice of heaven to everyone. I can once again go out and public with my head held high!!! Thank you, Angelo and team!

Angelo is my colorist and Leslie is my hair stylist. Angelo is the Michelangelo of color. He does absolute wonders. Leslie is great with creative hair cutting and the very latest of hair styles. I am sure glad I found them.

I moved down to Sarasota from Connecticut 33 years ago and that is when I found Angelo and Lesley and I have been a customer ever since. I always get complements on my color and hairstyle,they are the best. Angelo will listen to you about what you want, looks at the color of your eyes and complexion and knows exactly what color would complement you. When I go back to Connecticut to visit relatives Angelo makes up my formula for my hair and it travels with me. Last year while I was in Connecticut it was that time of month to cover those gray roots and went to the salon with my hair color and after the stylist was done another stylist working there said to her he loved my hair color and she said I wish I could take credit for it but she brought it with her from her stylist. Lesley is very patient and cuts & styles your hair exactly like you want it and if your having a bad hair day she will give advice about what product would be good for your hair. Everyone at the salon is very pleasant and as soon as you walk in the door they make you feel welcome and comfortable. I would not go any where else.MaryAnn Inglis

Im not giving this review to be mean but I came to this salon on recommendations from Yelp. The staff was friendly. I wanted to go gray and asked if they could do that. They said yes but Angelo told me it would age me. Being that he had so much experience at Clairol (awards everywhere) I trusted him. My hair looked ok when I left, he did tell me about 20-30% would break off. Ended up being more like 90%. His wife cut my hair and pretty much butchered it. I will now have very short hair for a long time until the damaged hair grows out.

I really appreciate the attention that was given to me by the whole staff here and I never felt like a burden even though my hair took so long. The sense of community here is really special & I’ll be back!

I came to Hair Color Center because I was recommended and told they had a huge product selection. I came in looking for a dandruff shampoo that would actually work. Donna their product specialist was able to completely inform me about why I had dandruff and recommended the best shampoo by Nioxin and up to this point has worked 100%. I couldnt be happier and have been getting my haircuts here by John the barber who has really done a great job. Love my fades! Thank John and donna for the great experiences and thank you Lesley, Angelo, and staff for having such a great buisness! Highly recommend this place as a guy to guys and women alike!

Anglo was super rude and implied i couldn’t afford the work. i wanted corrective work and he lied about how it would take a full day and that he is in “season” however the place was completely empty. Also told me it would at the least 500 dollars, and that i won’t find anyone eles who would fix my hair. He was trying to force me to pay more than 500 dollars for things i didn’t want.

ANGELO IS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. TO HIS CLIENTS!!! I CALLED UP THERE TO C IF SOMEONE COULD DUY MY STUBBORN DARK BROWN HAIR BLONDE AND IF THE MIGHT REFUSE TO DO IT IF ITS TOO DAMAGED AND THEY SAID NO PROBLEM COME ON IN THAT ANTONIO WAS really good and that he can do anything i was on a budget so i asked and got a price quote of 60$ so i made appointment for time and day showed up and they had no appointment scheduled but said antonio can look at my hair when antonio the grumpy old man came over he i litterally called my hair TRASH and said it would cost 100s of dollars and that he didnt want to do my hair quoting that be wouldnt do it because wouldnt benefit him! Last time i checked hair stylist are suposed to care about helping a client get their hair done the way they want it not refusing them because of his needs it was all about him making money not helping clients plus i was told the opposite of everything he said on phone so the customer service should learn not to lie and learn what their hair stylist really treat their clients .worst experience everrr!!! Had a blow dry at the Blow Dry Bar it was GREAT, Cheryl did a exceptional job!!!!
