I took my 1995 Porsche Cab. in for a battery. It needed the battery and found it, also, needed a valve job! I’ve gone to Schneider’s for years and have been extremely happy with their work and fair prices.It was very funny that a friend had his Porsche in, at the same time. He decided to have his engine rebuilt instead of just a valve job. (His wife told me he wanted it to go faster! I’ll challenge him to drive over the mountains to see if THAT was worthwhile!)Both if us — and several other REAL Porsche aficionados, I know — ALWAYS TRUST Henry and Paula!!!

Schneider Autohaus is a great place to fix any car made in Germany, even my Mini Cooper. They went out of their way to welcome new customers, with a 10% discount as well as a ride back home to wait for my car. They answered every question, and they came back cheaper than expected.

Great work on an old BMW. Fixed oil leaking to engine resulting with excessive smoke, misc. other smaller items and returned the car in great shape, running well, completely cleaned and with polished headlights. Great service with focus on details, highly recommended.

Recently moved to Santa Barbara, I searched high and low for the right repair place. They were so knowledgeable about my Porsche. They took pictures and sent to show the wear and cause for the repair. They even had a testing lab resource to test the oil, although I haven’t seen the results yet. My car was ready before I had expected and when I couldn’t get in that day to pick up, they said nothing about me being late. The owners and the administrative team were very hands on!

I am so glad I found this repair shop. It’s hard to find a quality auto shop so we don’t have to use the dealers. I’ll refer this shop to all my friends and I’ll be back for regular services

Took my 2005 Audi A4 3.0 here after looking for a trustworthy mechanic and was not disappointed. Brent and Chris are very knowledgeable and got the job done quickly and carefully. I was a bit worried about the hourly rate, but they are very fair and honest with their billing and even fixed a coolent temp sensor while they were getting to my O2 sensor with barely any extra cost. Quality work, fair pricing and knowledgeable and friendly staff. I will definitely be returning.

We’re very happy with our service at Schneider Autohaus. We went in for a emissions issue and found out it was simply a bad gas cap. Although they had a start up price, they gave us a discount as the repair was pretty easy and straightforward. We thought they were very fair and will use them again. I dropped my Audi off at Schneider Autohaus after I noticed clutch problems. It turned out the whole clutch system/flywheel had to be replaced. I had them perform the repair and I must say, it was a pleasure working with Paula and her team. Even after performing my due diligence and calling around to other Audi mechanics in SB, their price was more than fair. The mechanic visually showed me why things needed to be replaced and after having the car for almost a week, it runs great. Going to be keeping this car longer than I expected but VERY happy with my experience. Highly recommend.

Expert advice and service with fair prices

If you have any sort of mechanical inclination and can DIY your car I would avoid this place. While they do perform good work they take advantage of the anti stealership mentality and completely capitalize on it. I had a PPI done there and they essentially TOTALED my car out (saying its worthless) stating I needed new everything. For things that HAVE NOT HAPPENED, and the verbage used in the description such as MAY need this done at this type of mileage 1k or SOUNDS noisy, probably need to rebuild the whole thing, 2k Preventative maintenance I understand but the inspection they performed had sheer paranoia, total catastrophic worst case scenarios. Seriously, if you have a mechanical background, or lets even say an engineering degree and understand that there are thresholds and tolerances that may or may not be exacerbated but can be significantly minimized thru proper due diligence and maintenance you will realize these people are taking advantage of the exotic european car owner who doesnt know any better. I had an inspection done at the dreaded stealership 3 months prior for my own knowledge and took it to this place and there was 12 grand worth of preventative maintenance that needed to be done all in a matter of 1000 miles in between the timeframe that master technicians at the dealer somehow managed to never bat an eye at.... . A delta of 1k miles this all magically happened...Seriously, the engine has given me zero problems, take it here and it needs over 10k of routine preventative maintenance total racket. Ill gladly do the work myself. Wont be taking my Porsche here, nor my BMW..

Schneider Autohaus performed a complete service for my 2003 Porsche 911. The car had several mechanical issues. I had the car for 3 years, and after I picked it up from Schneider it drove better than it ever had before.
