I went to my appointment today to do an eye exam and it was a great experience. All the employees were super nice and professional. Cici helped my daughter and I to find the perfect glasses! She was super sweet and helpful and didnt rush us while we were choosing our glasses. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
I was surprised by how relaxed and polite the staff were here, with this store being in a mall during the pandemic. I went in with my prescription, and while they didnt have the style I liked and had been wearing, the optician who helped me me made sure I tried on tons of frames until I found one I liked. Used my insurance with no issues. I wish I knew that opticians name. I was in Feb 16th at 1pm or so, and she was the younger of the two ladies there.
Totally rude! I was interested in making an appointment to look at their selection and the lady at the front said I have to have a prescription because “you have to be a serious buyer considering we are in a pandemic.” I completely understand the precautions necessary in these trying times but she did not offer any additional information and her tone made me feel like I was silly for me to even ask to see their products. I can not know if I want to buy something until I see what they have to offer. Furthermore, I would have welcomed information on where or how to get a prescription considering I’m new to the area. I will never consider going here in the future.
Please do not disturb them, they obviously do not want to be there. I try to be extra understanding during this covid ordeal but they were outright rude and made no effort to hide it. They were clearly disappointed I already had a prescription which was going to be their excuse for not letting me in. Then they wanted to know if i was buying now; i said it depends on what i find. They reluctantly let me in after sterilizing and temperature check but thrust a finger in my wifes face because she was too close for the thermometer i guess; again, not even a thinly veiled attempt at being pleasant. I asked about the sale id seen online; nope, no sales. I asked them to check my insurance benefits; two quick taps on the computer; nope, cant find it. Can you call? ..disgusted look from the lovely lab coat lady- no,you call. Look, I get it, but if you are terrified dont open. Dont treat a 20+ year customer, who buys multiple glasses for his family every year, like an irritant. Like I said, there was no attempt to even hide it, the entire staff was rude and clearly did not want to be there. And it wasnt from overwork; I was the only person in the whole place besides employees. I went to a competitor, took all the safety precautions but was treated professionally and they were actually nice..and busy. Less expensive too. Lifetime customer lost.
Rachell was such a wonderful person to work with! She made finding the perfect glasses for me so easy and fun! I definitely recommend going to her if you ever need a pair! I would give her 10 stars if I could! Thank you Rachell.
WOW Vision Works store in Sanford needs customer service work for sure. They forgot the meaning of customer service and how to take care of customers. I understand now why it is an issue after dealing with the GM who has no customer service skills at all and is almost rude to a point. Tries to blame the issues on the customer by saying since we can not do anything right in your eyes On top of this they like to lie about the issues they have and make excuses why thing are happening.. Called corp and they just make promises the store can not keep. I work to hard for my money to just to hand it over. I feel if your in business you need to earn my money. A little honesty, sincerity and a simple I am sorry or I understand can go a long way but after 3 visits and 4 phone calls not one manager contacted me. Until the very last visit and like I said no customer service and rude. I will no longer do business with this store and will give careful consideration on doing business with this company ever again. I did want to bore you with the entire story so I just wanted highlight the reason I was unhappy.
I absolutely loved how friendly and welcoming the staff is. The doctor was super informing of everything going on with my eyes. Not to mention the large selection of glasses they have to offer! My glasses were ready for pick up within the hour. I will be returning have to this location again.
Rachell gave us excellent service in helping choose classy frames for my husband. She was very knowledgeable, professional, yet extremely friendly and helpful. Our disappointment was not with Rachell but with whatever procedure glitch there was over the next few days that did not get the glasses returned to the store for over three weeks. Otherwise, we’ve always had great service here.
Horrible location. Every employee thinks they are a manager. None know how to do there job correctly. The employees will also lie to customers and openly argue and try to degrade them in front of other clients. So Mary and Nate thank you for providing a memory we will never forget and for providing a terrible experience to a customer of 4 years.
I took my daughter here today for an eye exam and was very surprised at the poor level of service. I did not have high expectations since they were doing a $1 eye exam promotion, but I would expect that the purpose of such a promotion would be to get people in the door and sell them eye glasses (by being helpful and friendly). We had a 4:30 appointment and waited approximately 10 minutes for someone to check us in and give us paperwork to fill out. We were directed to the waiting area, which was about 15 chairs and a small television. It was very full, not even two chairs available for us to sit down, so we looked around at the glasses and were called back after about 25 minutes for what we thought was the exam, but was just an assistant taking pictures of her eye and a glaucoma test. The woman doing this actually got up and left in the middle, no explanation, and sent another person over. At no time did anyone say hello, ask how we were doing, or even give my daughter a smile. We then went back to the front of the store and waited until just after 6:00 to be called back to see the doctor. When my husband mentioned the long wait to the doctor his reply was Thats why they call it a waiting room. He was not exactly unpleasant, but underneath his politeness was very thinly veiled rudeness. It was understandable though- they were extremely busy, with several walk-ins and they were very understaffed, with only two doctors working, three people working the front of the office, and two assisting with the exams. Bottom line- if you are on a budget, need an eye exam, and are prepared to suffer a bit, the eye exam was fine. Just make sure you have a few hours to spare.
Dr Truong is easily the most informative eye doctor I have ever seen. My eyes have always been problematic but she took the time out to tell me all my options and made sure everything was right. Was not expecting this kind of care from a shopping mall eye doctor, keep doing what youre doing!
My glasses were ready before I could even get out of the mall. They were so friendly and helpful. I am leaving town in 4 days and needed new glasses...they won my business for good
Took my daughter here for eye exam was very satisfied with the service. My question is if you pay over $200.00 for glasses why dont you give a cleaning cloth with the purchase of the glasses instead of charging for them. Every place Ive ever dealt with has always gave us a cleaning cloth plus a small spray bottle of cleaner. Just a thought for future customer service
I took my mother to the vision works in Sanford and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. The doctors office was great as well. They had her glasses ready within an hour. I’d definitely recommend this vision works!
I 100 percent agree with those who experienced poor service. My doctor was great. However, when I made my decision to get glasses a week later, both sales staff took 3 customers that came after me before waiting on me. The manager talked to one set of customers about personal chit chat for 30 min and, when he finally got to me yelled, What do you want me to tell you? Thats what your insurance says to charge. And offered 0 explanation. We waited close to an hour for less than 5 minutes of his time. Needless to say, I went 5 minutes away to another optical store in a shopping center superstore and received beyond 5-star service at better prices. I will never return to Vision Works. At least not this store.
Doctors offices was very polite with expanding everything I needed to understand about my exam. Also purchased glasses at the same location With many frames to pick from, I had trouble because I was dilated but the young lady at the desk was very helpful. Love them!
The employees here are very helpful and friendly, especially the young lady who assist me Rachell. I went there to tighten my glasses and clean my glasses. And she assist me right away with no problem, thank you Rachell my glasses fit me just right now!
Sales team was extremely rude didnt ask if i needed help and actually worked around my presence. More employees than customers and still didnt get helped until 20+ minutes in the store. The only good thing was a nice older man named Bill who was the only employee with a sense of urgency
Exam experience was great. Initial frame/lens selection ok. Meeting delivery commitments, abysmal! Final quality, issue still in doubt..
I went to the Visionworks in Sanford I was attended by a team member named Rachel Rivera she was very very helpful with my selection of frames her customer service was superb the best I have seen in a while. I can tell you if there were more people with skills shopping would soMuch fun.
I understand that you can’t please everyone however, when a costumer spends over $500.00 dollars on two pairs of glasses with insurance and one starts peeling within months.. there’s a problem. I took it back and they said the lens were defective so, they corrected it. Only about two months later to have the same problem again!!
We were assisted by Casey in Visionworks, Sanford. She was excellent! She helped us on all our vision needs. Thank you Casey for a job well done! :-)
I stopped by to get my glasses adjusted. Wasnt sure if they would help because I didnt purchase them from visionworks but they were very helpful! They cleaned them off really well too. Ill definitely check them out when Im needing to get new glasses !
It’s a very comfortable and respectable place to pick a pair of eye glasses. I couldn’t feel better about my results without the help of the great manager and responsible assistant, hands down best eye glasses store.
I was in the store looking to possibly buy glasses waiting my turn to be helped and while I was waiting I over heard another customer being helped by Alfonzo or how ever you spell his name and Alfonzo told the customer that Casey and malery and everyone else who worked there was stupid and that because he is licensed he automatically knows what he is doing well I personally thought it was highly illegal to now follow a prescription for glasses that was provided by a doctor I mean if you don’t follow the prescription it can lead to accidents while driving or even make the vision worse. Not only that but to sit there be so ego filled and act like a know it all and to call your fellow employees stupid in front of customers is outrageous I WILL NEVER BE SHOPPING At this store again and I’ll make sure none of my friends or family shop there again while such a egotistical asshat like Alfonzo is there
The service at this store is great! Went in to get contacts and the staff was very friendly and the store itself is very clean! Happy with my experience. Will definitely be back!
I love all their sunglasses. Really nice selection. The person helping me was really helpful in finding me what I wanted.
The optometrist is wonderful she listens and has always been correct but the sales team or the employees that help with frames was partly helpful one of them was very helpful and the other that was there was not because he was clueless to any questions the optometrist asked him and questions we had asked him he had given us incorrect information about a sale that they had going on .
This is an excelente Store. I came in and everyone was ver y helpful and kind. I will recommend this store to everyone. Rachel and Ms. Karen were wonderful.

The eye doctor is good; however, I had a terrible experience because of sales team. When you go in there just remember the salespeople are required to make a monthly sales goal, and will lie, and mislead their customers! The manager needs to be reported to the FTC for flat out lying about insurance coverage.

Today is the second time Ive been in this location to be ignored by staff, none of which were waiting on any other customers. Guy behind counter have me a blank state as I entered no greeting then proceeded to blab with two other co-workers as I looked through a plethora of genetic style frames.Horrible customer service no professionalism at this dump. Ill spend my 500.00 on glasses elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.
