They cut straight to the chase, we’re polite, friendly, and professional, and were able to give me some details upon entering, and exiting about my cars health. 100% highly recommended choosing TAG as your collision repair shop!I went through two other inspections with different shops before choosing TAG and I couldnt be happier with my choice.The communication that Joel maintained with me throughout these last 10 days was impeccable. He kept me in the loop every step of the way. Never left me in the dark about anything and in the end when I did have a minor issue he immediately jumped on the opportunity to fix it!That being said the receptionists are just as polite and were easy to communicate with!Like I mentioned before I did have a minor issue that was quickly resolved! This is the type of business that is hard to find these days.I ran too far over one of those cement parking things and a part of my car was dragging, making sure to have everyone looking at me everywhere I drove. I called the place where I have gone before and the woman told me to call my insurance and they would have my car for a couple days. I talked to my neighbor and she told me I should give Tag Collision a call- she highly recommended them.I called and explained my situation the gentleman on the phone asked me if the first place I had called had looked at the car. I said they had not- he told me that how did they know then that they would need to keep my car for days- what if this was a simple fix. He was completely right and I appreciated so much the boost of common sense since I was lacking. I asked if they could squeeze me in just to take a peek and he invited me to come on down.When I walked in I got the best vibe. The women behind the counter were friendly and helped me understand what was happening. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone recognized I was the one who had called and he personally helped me. I just felt comfortable which is a big deal because I have crippling social anxiety. I could trust everyone, which is also such a big deal because when it comes to car repairs and car issues it’s easy to be taken advantage of if you don’t know anything about cars (like me).My car was taken back so they could see what was going on and I had great chat with the employees in the office. I was being treated professionally but also as a human being- not just a client.Maybe 10 minutes later the gentleman who had been helping me gave my key back to me, shared with me it was actually an easy fix and my car was ready go. I asked “It’s fixed?”. He smiled and said it was. I asked “I don’t owe you anything?” I was expecting at least a $50 bill even if it was just to be evaluated. Nope, I was all good. It was a simple fix as he had told me in the beginning it might be. Just needed a few zip ties.Tag Collision completely made my day and fixed my car. I absolutely would and will recommend the and will myself be a loyal customer.

These guys really do legit business. No matter who you are you’re gonna make mistakes but what you do when you make one is the most important thing. I had been in an accident and one of the repairs to my front end was the secondary radiator for my F-250. For some reason the radiator had a pin hole leak and took a few months to drain out. I called them and they took care of the problem right away no questions asked and provided my transportation for a couple days. Now that’s some awesome service!! Great people down there!! Jeff Daniels the production manager really took care of me when there was a problem and the estimator Jeff J(?) really took care of me when I initially had my truck towed there. Again great shop ran by real people!! Old school values at TAG

Jeff, Savannah & the entire team at TAG Collision Center provided amazing customer service!My new dark-colored vehicle had a deep, long scratch caused by a shopping cart across multiple body panels. Jeff had his technicians wet sand the scratched area & remove the scratch without using a drop of paint. The workmanship was done so well that there is not even a trace of the original scratch. They were also kind enough to wash the entire vehicle for me.To top it all, Jeff had the work done at no charge & declined to take payment! In conclusion, I am extremely pleased with the excellent work & superlative customer service provided by Jeff and the entire TAG team in San Marcos, California!

Don’t fall for the good reviews, if you bring your car here to get repaired check the quality of their work. The outside might be made to look good but they will not repair your car correctly. Remember they work for the insurance company not for you. They can care less about your car they just want the business from the insurance companies and will do anything and everything to cut costs down and make as much money as possible. Your vehicle will be less safe to drive and you will have lots of trouble getting it repaired right. This is probably the worst shop that I’ve been to. I could of had taken my vehicle across the border and I’m sure they would of had done a better job. They will talk and talk about how they warranty their repairs. They don’t, you will get your vehicle back and find something wrong with it, you will take it back to them and they will say that it’s normal and nothing can be done and your insurance is gonna back them up not you. Save your time and money do your research and avoid this scamming shop at all cost.

Just picked up my car from TAG Collision Center in San Marcos. Couldn’t be happier. Damage fixed, car even detailed and looks like new.Here is my experience from beginning to end.I have to admit, I went to a competitor first to get a quote but was told to come back in a week, so I went to TAG. Jeff from TAG looked at the car and send me detailed quote via email within an hour +/- for driver side damage repair. After insurance send notification to go ahead with the repair, I dropped off the car. Paperwork was ready in a prepared folder with my name on it when I showed up for drop off. Paperwork was straight forward and easy. During the time at TAG Jeff send me repeated updates on the progress of the repair exactly as promised. Car was ready for pickup at the promised day and time. The car was actually in front of the building, sitting there ready like it would be at a new car dealership. Since I use the car mainly for long commutes to work it was not the cleanest at drop off, however it was detailed at pick up and looked like new which I had not expected. Paperwork at pick up took about 5 mins.As far as customer service…top notch. Jeff was on top off things and the staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Jeff updated me throughout the entire process. I guess he was off one day so Brian called me instead to update me on the progress just as promised. I did not have to do anything or call for updates. Not sure what else I could have asked for.As far as quality of work…the new red metallic paint is a good match and even though existing paint shows signs of fading, they did a good job blending it in. Panel gaps look perfect, no issues.Time in shop..10 days from start to finish including lead time for parts as estimated at drop off.Covid protocol. Drop off and pick up at a time when restrictions were lifted. Despite that, customer service area still had plexiglass dividers up so I felt ok in their shop.I see good and not so good feedback online. Count me as a good one. I don’t write many reviews, but Five stars well deserved for TAG. I am a first time customer and not associated with the business.

If your you don’t mind all the details of your vehicle it’s a Ok place, I personally wouldn’t take my vehicle there again, not what I expected. My car was was al dirty and full of scratches when I picked it up

Wow. this is way over due. With my busy schedule I haven’t had the time to write a proper review. I hit a deer a little while back and brought my car to tag collision. BEST PLACE EVER! I mean it. I don’t typically write reviews unless I am beyond impressed. This place checks all my boxes. They are always friendly, on time and throw in a car wash every time I come see them. I must give a shoutout to Jeff, he is amazing, smart and very kind. I have worked with him on several occasions and he has never let me down and always exceeded my expectations. I recommend! I needed to get a front and back bumper and two panels replaced so went around to get a bunch of quotes. This place was an add on estimate as it was recommended by a friend last minute. I am SO happy we took that recommendation! The people we worked with (shout out to Jeff) were not only friendly and knowledgeable, but they are the no BS type of people. They tell you the facts and dont fluff anything extra, which I very much appreciate. The price was the best we got for everything to be fixed and the quality of work done on the car was top notch. I would definitely recommend, and be a return customer... but hopefully I wont have to be ;)

I have used the Tag Collision center in San Marcos 3 times. The first time was for my Mazda 3 that had a small amount of damage to the rear bumper. They were able to remove and repaint the bumper in a day. I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of the work. The paint matching was perfect and the orange peel was like new.As the Mazda aged the original paint started to show some sun damage (car is about 9 years old). The Mazda 3 only had 100K miles on it and I wanted to pass it on to my son. So I decided to have the paint fixed so my son would feel like he had a new car.I did receive some quotes from other shops. I would have to say the Tag was not the lowest price quote. Already having experience with the previous repair I knew it would be a quality result. I was able to negotiate with Jeff to trim some of the cost and decided to commit to the work.I have to say I was really pleased with the result. The paint looked better than the factory paint and the paint color match was perfect. The orange peel was a little heavier than factory but was super shiny and had lots of depth for the metallic paint.I also have a Mini van that needed the front bumper re-painted and was waiting for the right time to have it fixed.Based on the result of the Mazda 3 I worked with Jeff to also have the Mini van bumper repainted the next week.Again, could not be happier with the result.One bonus is the paint has a great warranty.Jeff also told me to come back in 30 days and he detailed the car again.Thanks for the great experience. I referred our friend to have some work done and he was super pleased too.

Great experience. this was a cash transaction and i needed to go with the lowest quote. TAG replied quickly to my online quote request and was WAY less than their competitors. Well what can I say about this place is my first time going, first experience, I was not disappointed very friendly employees very welcoming when you get there and the best part about it before I even dropped off the truck I asked secretary in the front if they could give me a ride back home. didn’t even hesitate to say no the first response was of course will take you back. Jeff that was taking over my account give me an estimated time by the end of the week my truck was gonna be ready just having mine i drop of my truck on Monday by Wednesday he give me a call tell me it was done and ready to go I was surprised. Jeff went above and beyond in fixing my car in a timely manner and even 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled repair date that my adjuster had told me. Jeff also fixed my husbands side skirts and even had his team clean his dirty head lights in the front without without even being told to do so. I took my car to TAG partly because of the very positive reviews that most everyone was posting online, and partly because they were pre-approved by my insurance which minimized the hassle of the repair ordeal. Im glad to report that theyve exceeded my every expectation; from the quick and accurate online estimate, to the daily progress update that Jeff was diligently providing, to their flawlessly executed repair. Truly great service! Just had my rear-ended 2007 Honda Odyssey repaired by Tag. Couldnt have asked for better service or repair work. Jeff was easy to work with and very responsive to any and all of my questions. Tag replaced the rear hatch and bumper and them painted to match. All the work was done quickly (6 days total) and the Van looks like new. Tag even cleaned my front headlights as part of their service. Id highly recommend them for any repair work you may need performed.

Ive had my door repaired here twice. Both times for vandalism. Im just a lucky guy. But enough about me. The staff is friendly and professional. My paint matches perfectly, the damage isnt noticeable at all, and I got some free tire shine!They went through my insurer Wananesa without any issues. They are on the same street as Enterprise which is pretty convenient.Of course it had to rain the day after they washed my car, but the re-paint is holding up beautifully. I highly recommend Tag based on my positive experiences.

Recently I was rear ended, and the closest shop the insurance company guaranteed was Tag Collision. From the moment we walked in the service was great and moved quickly. Once they saw the damage to my car they asked if my daughter and I were ok, and then went to talking about repairs.I was given updates as the progress of repairs went on for 12 days. Once I got the car back they sent an email the next day to check to be sure everything was ok on the car so far. I was just so happy and thankful to find an honest repair shop.Thank you again for the work to my car!

My car was hit 2 times in one week, of course insurance was a headache to deal with but not Tag Collision. Troy and Jeff handled everything for me and made sure I got my car back in time so my insurance didn’t steal more money from me. Great customer service. Paint blend was smooth yet barely noticeable in direct sun.body panels werent perfectly aligned but passable. Very helpful staff. But would NOT take a high end car here. Great place to go overall.Edit: after driving car in rain for the first time, they did not align my drivers door after reinstallation causing wind noise and leaking through door seal, did not repair bent strut.

Amazing business practice! I went there after so many other places and the dealer kept giving me the run around any there were able to help me right away and did not try to get me to pay hundreds of dollars on stuff I didnt need. These are good, honest people and I know this is the place to go if I need collision repair.

Never faxed the estimate to my insurer as promised. Lost the paperwork I gave them. Decided to go elsewhere after all the hassles4/7/2016 UpdateI received a follow-up email from Tag today regarding this post (pleasantly surprised). I found out the the estimator had sent my paperwork although it took 5 five business days to go it. Not sure why the delay but a least they hadnt lost my paperwork as I thought. Im adjusting my rating as Vanessa was courteous and efficient in handling the estimate when I showed up with the car.

Ive used Tag for almost 10 years, theyve repaired all three of my corvettes from simple stuff to Holy Crap stuff, and they also fixed up my crashed avalanche, twice. Mike has been my primary contact. I would tell anyone that this place is the most adept, professional, organized and friendly place Ive ever been to for auto body repair. I would not be loyal to a shop that was not top notch, and certainly would only take my Black Z06 to someone who is proven. These guys are really great. period. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great service and great work i took my vehicle here to have sime work done and im amazed at tge detailed and fine work these guys do.i had two minor areas and their guy did a excellent job reconditioning my paint to new life thanks my greg Barrera and his wonderful team of experts definitely will recommend to family member and friends.

Brought my vehicle in November 2017 to get minor front end damage fixed. After 17 days I got my vehicle back in poor shape.They forgot to fix scuff marks to my rim, the front bumper pieces werent fitted properly leaving a gap, they bolted on the brush guard without removing a protective edge covering not part of the product, the passenger front window no longer operated properly, they put in a used headlight that was yellowed and didnt match the other one, they put back the scratched and damaged fog lamp back in and it was loose, they damaged a previously undamaged portion of the the passenger door, they put screws through an a previously undamaged portion of my bumper visible from the outside, and finally when asked if they did the alignment they lied and said it was fine. They never looked at the alignment because it was still off.All of this required me to bring the vehicle back so they could fix all this. Even after fixing everything i still had front bumper pieces that didnt connect properly. I was told I would have to live with it because they didnt know why it wouldnt fit property. Seriously? Dont let them take advantage of you. They even fixed the alignment and then lied again like it had fine fine all along and it was my tires. Im not stupid. But the did get me a little keychain lanyard thinking that woukd make up for their incompetence...

Only gave them a star bedside i had to in order to make this post. Was in there for two minutes and the tellers were so busy gossiping. They were speaking ill of another customer and i guess me asking for their attention was incredibly rude because the woman was INCREDIBLY abrupt and cold. She made it seem like i was at fault for someone hitting me. It seemed like i was such an inconvenience before she even had anyone look at my car, so i left. I hope this company understands you lost a lot of business due to your associates terrible demeanor.

Staff was extremely friendly, had a situation with insurance wanting 2 deductables Troy I believe was the person helping me, kept me informed about everything, and even fixed my second minor issue that my insurance wanted a deductable for without a cost ! Serious lack of integrity and service.I paid less than $300 for a repair that they insisted couldn’t be done for less than $800.I arrived at 7:30 (when they open) to get the bumper on my sedan repaired.The lady working the front desk asked if I could wait an hour to help because everyone was in a staff meeting.When I said no, she said “Well, maybe I can go look at it”.She (front desk clerk?) quoted me $900 to replace the bumper cover and paint it.I was quoted $450 weeks before by one of their staff, that actually do the repairs, to have the existing bumper patched and painted.I then suggested that we wait until one of the Estimators was out of their staff meeting to take a look.She then became extremely defensive that I questioned her assessment.I later found that she WAS an Estimator, but she just didn’t want to help a customer that had walked in.Annoyed by my experience I said I would go elsewhere.She said that she would go ask her manager if they could do it for less.15 minutes later, same price, same claim that the bumper HAD to be replaced.I went to3 other places that LAUGHED at the idea that the bumper had to be replaced.Again, I paid less than $300 to have it repaired elsewhere.

They did an outstanding job on my Subaru WRX IMPREZA STI (2011) and made it look better than new! I would have to recommend this shop to my friends for future references. And again thanks to the tag collision team for their services.
