I had good experiences by renting Uhaul trucks before. This time, I found a gas miscalculation. I took the photo before I left the parking lot. The gas level didnt match the level listed on the receipt. I sent the information to the custom service. But didnt get the response after 3 months.
James was so nice and helpful! I’ll definitely be using this location again.
Does anyone work here?????? I have tried to call this place not exaggerating a dozen times to go threw the phone menu to press 2 for the call to ring and then abruptly end and never get anyone to pick up!
They are overcharged me after I drop the uhaul van. They charged me extra so much money. I have no ideas and it doesn’t make sense. Customer service don’t answer the phone all times.
U-Haul at this location are thief, watch out, they over charge you for every thing, check your bill, have to wait over an hour to talk to customer service, very dis honest they done it to me three times.
Was stuck on the side of the road on the not so pretty side of town, and needed to use the phone to call for help. Eternally grateful that the gentleman this morning kindly let me use the phone to call for help !
I CANT BELIEVE THIS. THE GUY SAID THAT HOMELESS STOLE THE GAS FROM THE TANK AND THAT IT WAS MY RESPONSIBLE IF I DONT MAKE IT TO THE GAS STATION. IS THERE POSSIBLE GIVE A CERO STAR and they have another truck available but it was empty too and they dont want to in none of both two guys just not doing nothing.
Very bad service. They did not have my truck ready and I had to wait 1 hour until they told me to go to another location.I asked for 20 truck and other location gave me smaller one.Worst was my movers that I hired through Uhual had to wait 2 hours in my address and I had to pay them and Uhual is not compensating for that. totally unprofessional service in this location

The employee I interacted with was very polite and helpful, but its kind of a strange little shop in a busy, rundown area. I was happy I didnt have to leave my car (someone dropped me off to rent the van) because I wouldnt have felt comfortable leaving it.
Rented a truck from them yesterday in order to go to Costco to to pick up a piece of furniture. Set the rental up online so that I could use their self pick up function. That didnt work out so well because of the website. Could not get it to take the verification code that they kept sending me. Was able to take my reservation in to the front desk though and get the truck that I wanted. Pickup truck was brand new, 80 miles only on it. Returned and charged a total of $40. That included the $20 rental plus mileage ($.89/Mile) and $10 to cover possible damages. Not a bad deal. If you were to just need moving supplies, this would be a great place to go to find everything you could possibly need. The store has it all. I also come here for propane gas refills. They are competitively priced and very easy too deal with.
U-Haul systematically tries to steal from their customers. I rented a truck today and the agent at the Curtner site told me that it had more gas in it than it actually had. I wanted him to correct the records but he would not do it. The agent told me that I had to take a picture and hassle with the people at the drop-off site to get them to change the rental agreement. I told him that he should give me a rental agreement that is accurate. He told me that a customer must not have returned the truck with the right amount of gas in it and told me there was nothing he could do if customers were stealing gas from U-Haul. His response was wrong on so many accounts. U-Haul should not transfer problems to the customer and should fix them upon being made aware that a problem exists. Just because a customer did not return the truck with the right amount of gas, U-Haul should not expect the customer to buy more gas or try to fix the problem in some other way. And if a customer wants to return a truck to a site after hours then there is going to be nobody to talk to. Its just an absolutely rotten system.The process of renting a truck should be hassle-free and it is not. We knew wanted to drop the truck off at a location that would be open on the weekend. We called the location we were expecting to drop the truck off to and learned that the location we had selected at reservation time was not going to be open on the weekend. We wanted to change to another location but the agent told us we could not. We have to call tomorrow in order to make arrangements to drop off the truck at another location. This is another example of U-Haul being inflexible and making it a hassle for customers to use their service.I asked to speak to the manager at the Curtner location to deal with the improperly entered gas amount and he told me that I need to use the U-Haul application to contest the amount of gas at pick up time. Of course I told him that this was a U-Haul problem and he was transferring the work of fixing it to the customer. And its uncertain that the customers request to correct the amount will be honored. He tried to tell me that this is a preferred way to do business because then the customer is certain what is happening. I told him that the standard expectation is that you should be able to rent a U-Haul truck hassle free. The was completely unsympathetic. Of course this is complete baloney. You would expect him to correct the records on the U-Haul system and reissue the contract. If I didnt already have a move scheduled and with no flexibility to find another truck supplier, I would have canceled the rental.The U-Haul application would not accept a photo which I had already taken. I had to hassle with the U-Haul application then get back into the truck and take a photo and I still dont know if U-Haul is going to steal from me or not. This is not the right way to treat customers and is certainly the wrong way to begin a rental.Unfortunately, I believe that U-Haul is abusing their customers. It is very much in U-Hauls financial interest to set procedures that are so much hassle that many customers will not bother with going through the a correction process. In my opinion, U-Haul customers should do everything they can to avoid them because they are endorsing what I believe is immoral behavior by their company and its representatives.
Isaac helped me with a motorcycle trailer. He was awesome. Worked quickly and helped with some things I forgot. This place was busy, a constant flow of customers from what i saw. They did have 3 people working, and I saw good team work to divide and conquer. Great service, great prices and very convenient. The only thing that annoyed me was that there is one lane coming in and one lane exiting the property. So, the entrance line was filled up with people returning trucks, and someone parked in the exit lane... So I was stuck trying to exit for a while. But, i realized afterwards that there is another place to enter and exit, and i will use that next time. Overall, this is a great Uhaul location. One more thing is that I made the reservation online and i think that made the whole process go smoother. Nice job Uhaul!

First time at this location when we arrived we noticed there was a disgruntled customer being helped I noticed that the staff kept it professional the entire time even though his demeanor was not so nice, the young man at the desk was very helpful and goddess checked-in very quickly. upon inspecting our truck we noticed that it had gotten wet inside due to previous rain we went inside and let Marissa know and without hesitation she got us a new truck and even threw in a couple of blankets which really made this experience great for me I think they have good staff there and highly recommend this location
Gosh I have had most trouble with u haul in previous experiences. Absolutely nothing to look forward to when working with u haul. The service is horrible from in store to customer care. It takes forever to get the truck and go through process (even if you pre-book your reservation). And dont count on them having the truck you book ahead to actually be available. They called me as I was driving to pick up the truck that they didnt even have it. So stressful to deal with any u haul location. Good luck to anyone who has to use u haul.
I scheduled an appointment for this please because the price was $50 dollars cheaper than other locations. I had a schedule appointment for Saturday and made 30 minutes driving, when I arrived they did not had the hitch for my car because it was delayed and they were going to call me, but they were busy. They told me one Saturday after I could go to put the hitch and that I should call on Wednesday to be sure that on Saturday I could go and wait there so they install the hitch in my car.I called to verify they have the piece and surprisingly they do not have appointments for me, so I can wait there. They told me that as well to make any modification to the reservation I have to go there directly, which takes me 40-50 minutes during weekday and 25-30 during weekends. Not worth it.I scheduled already in a different place to get my hitch and bike rack. Hitch, installation and rack are cheaper in other places. As well it is more worth it to pay more for closer places than for saving a bit of money coming to this place. They did not cared a lot about the costumer in my case.

Moving is not an easy thing to do, but the employees were very efficient and fast I was in and out in within ten minutes. I went online and made a reservation and the check in process made it easy for the whole transaction once I got there. The truck was ready when I got there for my appointment and nothing but great customer service . The general manager was very respectable and a good people person. I had no problem with extending my contract for an additional day which was awesome since I have a lot more stuff than I anticipated. Thanks again!!!
Great customer service! I had a hitch and wiring harness installed on my car a couple of months ago here at the Curtner Uhaul. Then I decided to do the same thing for my wifes car, but took hers to a closer Uhaul near my house. Big mistake. The other Uhaul did a horrible job on the wiring harness, nothing like the Uhaul youtube video said it should it be like or anything like it was done on my car. The other Uhaul location didnt bring the wiring harness outside the car to the hitch receptacle and refused to fix it when I asked them. I brought my wifes car to the curtner UHaul and they spent an hour fixing the other locations bad installation to make me happy and even took responsibility and apologized for the other locations messup. Before I brought my car here (before my wifes car) I also was told by another Uhaul location that the Curtner Uhaul location is the best in the area for hitch installation. This is really true! Also, you can tell the Curtner location has great management and leadership by the way the staff here treats customers great...unlike the other location I had a bad experience with. Great job guys and keep up the great work! Im so grateful for a place like this with the staff so willing to help!
Tried to return my trailer here after hours but Uhaul mobile site could not find my location so I had to come back
They fill the propane with low psi on the main big tank and sell the propane gas per gallon. If you think about a gas gallon, the density will vary depending on the pressure it is kept at. So thats why its very profitable business for this uhaul. In all other places the propane is sold as a weight. Weight is more appropriate as the liquid propane will have a certain density and weight measures will be more fair measure for all the customers.At this uhaul, you can get a gallon of propane on the day when when the big tank gets filled up or you could get a gallon three days later when the big tank is half full- giving you a 1/8 amount of density on the propane.
I agree with some of other reviewers. I have recieved very good customer service at this location. The kind of customer service that we used to get in the 70s.

Terrible. This is the second time in a row. We have a reservation and they change it at the last moment (from 9am to noon) and we have to pick it up 20 miles away. We have movers coming at 9:30 and we were supposed to be heading out by noon. We wont be able to drop the truck off on the same day now as they will be closed. And we will have to pay another day. How to you run a business like that? Ive talked to others now, they say the same thing happened to them. NEVER AGAIN.
I get here before 10 when my appointment is supposed to be. There are already people waiting to get their vehichles.Some of whom had 9am appointments.FINALLY, after waiting half an hour, someone comes strolling in.some college looking dude.on his phone.saying na man, i just got inlike wow man. u are almost AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE TO WORK!I was currently on the phone with corporate, who had called the manager and all the employees about coming in.Since i was on the phone with them already i filed a formal complaint.Such bull, and terrible customer service.If you HAVE to get a U-Haul, DO NOT go to this location.
Helpful and nice people will smile at you as they triple their labor rate for anything installed. But if your willing to pay it so you dont have to do it then I guess its worth it.
OK, this probably isnt fair for the local store, but more for the National Offices of U-Haul. I reserved a truck and a car tow dolly online, to be picked up at this location. When I got my check-in email a couple of days before, the national trafficing department screwed it up. Not only did they NOT have my tow dolly in the reservation, but they had me picking up the truck at a different location (10 miles away) from where I made the reservation. In know they cant control where tucks get returned, but thats not my problem. If you offer a specific item from a specific store, it is youre responsibility to either have it there, or get it there. Not have the customer go to 2 different locations, 20 miles apart, to get the 2 items I reserved from the store 5 miles from my home. Poor, poor planning.But, the guys at the local store were great. Hats off to you. You have a very difficult job when customers are coming in your door already angry due to the ineptitude of your national/corporate offices.

New policy: they request and require you to give them permission to take a picture of your drivers license (both front & back) and then they will upload the photos to their database, so that all of theie employees have access and could steal (sell) your identity, because well hey, they also require a major credit card to rent anything, so there! Bam! If youre a felon get a job there....Your in, to hundreds of personal identities to choose from!!!I called customer service, reached Alabama (really?!) Its their new policy.The worse customer service ever!What is wrong with this company?!Honestly, I dont mind providing my license and go ahead document the info, but a friggen (I prefer the other F word) picture uploaded into their system?!!! BS.Im a lonnnnng-time customer, but NEVER will I walk through their doors again.

Never trust this location! There are no negative stars.Rented a U-box to move from NY to San Jose. It had a guaranteed arrival date or I was going to be paid $50 per day the box was late. It was 3 days late and they not only not give me the $150, but they double charged my credit card for the whole move (a little less that $2000). The manager was supposed to call in 72 hours, he took 4 days and just said he had a lot of work and he was sorry.. oh and also welcome to california. My credit card went over the limit of money I have assigned, so my bank is charging me almost $200 for that and they say that Uhaul has not issued a devolution yet. UHAUL double charged me on july 28th and its august 7 and no solution!!!!

A uhaul rental center. no storage units on site but a good selection of rental trucks. security is sketchy due to neighborhood.
We did online check-in, such a pain, took forever, several employees, no one cares we did online so it would be faster, stood in line for 1/2 hr. AFTER filling out several questions on line .WASTE OF TIME.
This place has a worst customers service I ever experience in my life . Dont shop here its so sad big company like this and service sucks so sad .
