I had a tire with a nail in it and called them at 5 pm on a Friday with a closing time of 5:30. They had the tire patched and back on by 5:20 pm! Extremely friendly with great service, and it was only $20. Cant recommend this place enough.

Louis is very professional and honest guy. Many times, he checked out any of my cars free of charge. He also gives helpful advice and recommendation. I have been sticking to his shop for about 10 years.

I showed up yesterday with a squeal and no power steering. They were busy and could have turned me away, but they didnt. They assessed my problem was a busted alternator belt due to a malfunctioning pulley. It could have been a lot worse! I echo the sentiments others have said about these guys being honest. And the price was good market value. I recommend!

Louis was SO great and patient with me. Im new to the city and Ive never gone to a mechanic without my dad so I was a little nervous about getting ripped off but Louis answered any and all questions I had about my car and what they were going to fix! I went to Luis and Derrick just couple minutes late with slow traffic they told me to just park on the right and talk the price $90 for Aliment for my 2017 Honda Accord Sport Edition perfect communication.. I make sure we can come back within 3 months definitely come back here when I take care of my cars.. More questions and more answers we needed from them.. 100% recommended.. Fast and less time to waste paid on time couple minutes wait for paper work to print out no rush take their time since I deal with the same situation for working at shop and gas..

Those guys are the most honest mechanics I have ever used. a couple of years ago - I had a check engine light on - Luis checked and his assessment that it is was a misfired check engine. He was right - btw - he wouldn’t charge me, he said he didn’t do any repairs. (Volvo dealership had charged me 150 dollars for just diagnostics and a recommendation of $5000 in repairs - I went to Louis for a second opinion. Based on a friend’s recommendation) that was 2 years ago. No problem since. What an honest crew - strong recommend

I just needed to get my taillight fixed. Called the day before, set up an appointment for the next morning, showed up and within 10 minutes I was in my way again! Great service, they even took my car to the back when I parked in the wrong place and then brought it back to the front for me. Overall great experience!

Louie saved my van! They figured out why it wasnt passing smog while other places told me it would never pass. Amazing! Then they went the extra mile when it still wasnt running quite right and spent another day on it no charge. They have a good mechanic who understands old cars. Never taking my cars anywhere else.

Lou runs a great service station. Hes super honest, caring and is so ethical, he refused to give me new brakes when I asked for them. He said my brake were fine, just noisy. I tried to insist, but in his caring, fatherly yet gruff way, he refused. Saved me hundreds of dollars and he gave up making hundreds of dollars for his shop. Good man. Great repairs, great crew, and they always have someone on duty. Easy to reach and super easy to pick up your vehicle after hours.

Came here for a last minute oil change and smog check for my Toyota 4x4. These guys got everything done in less than an hour (with little advance notice) and were super friendly and communicative. No up-selling or trying to get me to buy stuff I didn’t need. I’ll definitely come back!

Brought a Durango 6.2l all-wheel drive and asked them to locate a coolant leak. It turned out to be that the coolant pump was weeping through the hole they have to let people know that the seal is failing. Prior to learning that, Van went through a list of things that they check.Replacing a coolant pump in these is only a 2 to 2-1/2 hour job. I have done these before but never when I was away from my own garage and never while traveling out of state as I was this time. I was shocked when I got a bill for slightly over $500. The work was tolerable. The bill was not. The pump itself only costs a bit less than $185 (their price). That same pump from any number of retailers costs ~$143.I am not happy with the hourly rate. The mechanic did not return my phone call. I would not recommend this mechanic. $300 is excessive for no more than 2 hours of work.

Google Reviews were right. We discovered Lou - via Google and never looked back. Full service and great guys! Honest and cost effective. All the girls in our booklcub and the golfer guys are now huge fans.

Called about alignment for my aunt and they told me one price but when she got there they added another $60 on top. She came by appointment time but waited there few hours coz nobody even started to do alignment. Wouldnt recommend this place!

I was referred to these guys from another mechanic in SF, and am happy I called them. They were beyond helpful. Great spot, I hope I don’t need them soon, but if I do it’s good to know there is someplace I can go that won’t steer me wrong.

I cannot put into words how great it is to have a source you can depend on for accurate information. Recently, I asked Louie to take a look at my Ford Escape with 130000 plus a lot of years. He did a complete check and, although my inquiry opened the option for expensive repairs; he identified critical issues and recommended action saving me from $600 in work. Quality work, dependable, and honest--do you need any more in a mechanic?

Ive been going to these guys for years, and they are really great. They dont overcharge me, there are no hidden fees. They listen to me, and they dont automatically do work I dont authorize. I am so thankful I found a trustworthy place to go, because I know how many Auto Repair shops are too expensive and shady. I had one strange thing happen to a hub cap they put on my car (it fell off, I assume), and they fixed it for free. Great place to go.

Honest guys doing honest work.Initially took my car in because I was told by another mechanic that my brake pads needed to be replaced. I bought the brake pads separately and asked them if the could install the part so I would just be paying for the labor. The guys called me back saying that my current brake pads have plenty of material left and that they do not need to be replaced.They could have easily installed the new pads, charged me for the labor and tossed out the old, yet still functional pads.Appreciated this honest gesture so much that I asked them to look into some other work Ive wanted to do with my car and gladly paid them to do so.Highly recommend!

My check engine light was on; so I shut off the motor.I emailed the owner (I was not in a huge hurry), arranged to have my car towed to Sunset 76.Car was diagnosed, repaired and i picked it up mid-day.I cannot say enough about having people you trust with car repairs.Tell Lou, that George sent you!!

Ask them to spin a pulley off of an alternator for me and they did it on the spot. Tried to pay em and they said no. Now that’s old school class. Five stars !!!!

Ive used this shop in the past to change oil and every time they do that I find oil on my garage floor . The only reason Ive used this guy is because it;s close to my house and it was relatively cheap. I stooped going there about 1 year ago. Today, my break sensor went off and I decided to go to the same shop hopping they will do this for me. First upon arrival an owner told me he was very busy and asked to talk to his employees, which is not a good customer care in my opinion. I waited for some time and after seeing that nobody cares and approached him again and asked if he could replace breaks on my car. His estimate was twice more expensive than a dealer would give me, he said $800 for both. I was shocked, but didnt say a word and asked him what is the cost of labor only and he said $240 which is also more expensive that local dealer. I just left and went to the dealer. Id rather pay anybody but this guy. Shame on him.

Had a brake job done. I returned a few weeks upon completion as the breaks felt soft. Owner or manager drove my vehicle around the block. Upon his return, he grumbled they seemed fine and was too busy to look at them and I would need to schedule a return visit to have them inspected. A week later I rear-ended someone. The car in front of me stopped suddenly on Lincoln St. in the Avenues...foot to the floor and car did not stop in time.

They are simply great. I had a problem with a leaking tire and other tire shops were saying nonsense like we dont have equipment or we cant repair, you need to buy a new one. These guys repaired everything in 10 minutes. The problem is solved and they didnt even want to charge me for that.

I sent in a description of the problem I was having on a Sunday night via Sunset 76s website. I was emailed later that night telling me to bring my car in the next morning (Monday) half an hour earlier than they regularly open so that I could describe the problem and go on a test drive with the mechanic. I wasnt able to go on the test drive due to my own time constraints, but I did get there early and was told I would receive a call when they diagnosed the problem. Sure enough, I got that call at about mid-day with a full description and how much it was going to cost to repair my brakes. I gave the go ahead and got another call later that afternoon that my car was ready to go. I couldnt have asked for better service. I am thoroughly impressed with Sunset 76. They deserve your business.

Dont ever come here they will over charge you and tell you something is wrong with your car when everything is fine. The owner is crooked and only wants your money!!
