After my screen cracked, I looked for an efficient local company to help repair it. I settled on iTech iPhone & MacBook Repair given their good ratings on Google. However, this proved to be a huge mistake.First, I was told that replacing my screen with an official Apple screen would cost about $70 for my iPhone 6S, and that it should take about 30 minutes to complete. I left the store and came back 30 minutes later to then wait about 45 more minutes. After finally getting my phone, there was a tiny black dot on the corner of my screen. I didnt think too much of it. However, over the past few months since getting this screen replaced, a huge black spot has emerged to now cover over a third of my screen! I cant even read what is on my phone anymore!I took my phone to a friend who I discovered has fixed screens before, and he told me that upon repairing my phone, that this place 1) didnt take the plastic off the bottom of the screen, 2) didnt put all the screws back in, 3) that the screen is not an official Apple screen, and was in fact aftermarket.DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Not only did they lie to me about what parts they used on my phone, but they couldnt even put the aftermarket screen in correctly!!!

I tried to fix the cracked screen of my son’s iPad 7th generation. I spent all weekend and it still didn’t work. Now I know how hard it is to do and have much more appreciation for the people that do the repairs. I have never been to iTech before but they were close to my house, had great reviews, and offered the best rates so I gave them a try. They had it done in a day with impeccable workmanship. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!!!

The owner is a rude person that will go out of his way to attack you if you leave a negative review. Then try his hardest to have it removed to pretend he has great customer service. Don’t take the five star reviews as the truth. He has the negatives removed. When you curse at customers like you have done to me in the past I will warn future customers.

The only reason I took my laptop to this shop was because they told me they could fix it in 24 hours (I explained to them several times that it was urgent that I get my laptop back ASAP-- iTech was considerably more expensive than Apple and other repair stores, but I needed my laptop repaired pronto so I was willing to pay more). 48 hours later, I received a call from the store saying that not only had they not started working on the laptop, they hadnt even ordered the parts to repair it! They now needed an additional 3-4 business days to fix it!! I decided to leave a negative review on the business Yelp page. See the attached photos that show the owners deranged responses. He actually threatens violence over a negative review. Check out their business Yelp and Google reviews to see his crazy responses to ALL of their negative reviews. This is who you are dealing with when you leave your computer with this guy! Do you REALLY want to leave a device with all of your PERSONAL information (address, phone number, etc.) with someone this hostile and deranged? There are numerous other customers who have had similar interactions. Tony and his team clearly have no care or concern for customers and their property. Buyers beware of this scam.

Thumbs up to Tony, the owner of iTech. He was candid, provided key information on the costs/trade-offs of a needed iPhone repair, was timely, and honest (true to his quote). Since my phone was an older model, he initially recommended against a repair. However, for various reasons, he offered to try something new to repair it. If it didnt work, no charge, If it did, he quoted a reasonable charge. The next day, his curiosity and professionalism paid off. The old iPhone had its reception restored and a new battery. I have recommended iTech to family and friends, and even groups I speak to. It is nice to know such people serve our community. Thanks again, Tony!

That is my experience: not only couldnt fix my iPhone 8 Plus loudspeaker, but also damaged the front camera and the structure of my phone that was LIKE NEW condition, even after I ask them to please take care with it before attempting to repair it. Replaced the damaged camera for a different one and said that couldnt do anything about the damaged they did. I could do a better job looking tutorials on YouTube, to be very honest. Ruined all my plans on selling my phone for a good price, once I had to trade in the damaged one for $150 at Apple. I would say the own me at least $200 for the damage they did. Tony is a nice guy not to be unfair, but being nice is definitely not enough in this case. I will never take any device to this place again and I suggest you no to do so as well if you care about your device condition. If every repair place is like that in SD, I know there is a niche to be explored in this city. Period.

Best place around to fix your iPhone. Please do not be fooled by chain phone repair shops... I took my iPhone to one and they did more damage then good! I then took my iPhone to ITech and he is top notch.. only uses apple products and he knows extremely knowledgeable and explains everything and his prices are very reasonable. Ripped off. Don’t trust these people. I had my phone screen done and my iPad Pro the iPad I got home and use the first time and a crack grew from the thumbprint button on fist use. Disputed charges won and then now the bank is reversing? Don’t trust this company! I’m filing complaints with CFPB requesting the bank not reverse the already won dispute and filing complaints with the state for failure to honor California’s minimum warranty laws. I got my screens fixed right at isquad with no issues. Do not use this company they will rip you off.

Totally Impressed. I have a long history in instrumentation repair so Im well qualified to quickly assess a service like this. I am very upset because I took my phone to change my screen. I called to make sure it was fixed like at 11am. My phone was disabled when I picked it up at 4:30pm. I asked them for help but they were not able to fix it for me because they were about to close. Now my screen is fixed but I am having a hard time looking how to fix my phone because everyone gives me the round around. I just think that it would have been nice to check my phone when i called at 11am and say “hey by the way your phone is disabled” therefore doing something about it.

I would 100% recommend this place. This is my new go to repair store! They are friendly and very knowledgeable, they were able to fix my problem and they did it fast as well! I went in earlier today and the gentleman working there helped me fix my phone by removing some screws that were stripped and stuck, he did it very fast and accurately and did not at all ask much for the job (I was expecting to pay up a good amount, but he genuinely just wanted to help me, which shows trustworthiness in my opinion). I went in to have my charging port fixed. I dont remember his name, but he took a look and said it was dirty. He cleaned it out and it was working perfectly. He didnt charge me anything either, and wouldnt even accept the tip I wanted to give him for being so nice and helpful. Hands down a great place, and I for sure will go back to him if a real issue ever arises. :)

Our family has used Tonys services for several iPhone repairs. He is always upfront, fair in price, and honest. He offers valuable advice to prevent issues in the future. We had a phone that needed a new battery and he replaced it within an hour, two year warranty included. The same phone needed a complex repair that only he offers. This saved us a ton of money because a new phone would have been much more. I highly recommend his services. We have used other companies in the past and none compare.

I’m sorry for the drastic change in review but I paid almost 600 for my iPhone X and my iPad Pro to get new screens. I had to pay another company to replace the a week later. My iPad I brought home sat on my desk and later when I picked it up, all I did was press the thumbprint button once and a crack showed from under the button. Company said tough pay again. Disputed the charge and this company went to the bank and said they provided a service to keep my money. I’m sorry it does not matter how many times things go good. If a company is is underhanded and heartlesswhen they make a mistake you cannot trust them. I took my devices to isquad and was treated nice and everything is good. When you replace an iPad screen and normal use, like pressing a button causes a screen to fail,this is clearly a bad install . My guess is a wire or something was tucked under the screen and caused a stress point so that once the thumbprint button was pressed it caused a failure. That button should be able to be pressed a thousand times without causing a screen failure so this company is refusing to back their service. Go else where. I was ripped off for over 400 on my iPad work. Will never consider this company again nor recommend it to anyone else. Rather warn people that if thereAir fails you have no warranty of workmanship. Going to a attorney Tuesday with the iPad still with merchants protective coating installed for them to guide me on legal recourse. To the review below who was upset that her phone was disabled. Read the owner response it’s a clear indication customer service is so bad. They almost reprimand you and act like your crazy for wanting to depend on them. Very pleased with professional and quick response, My cell signal amplifier needed tiny connections from the antennas to the circuit board repaired. iTech had it done and tested within a day at a fair price. Less than others I had contacted. So nice to be able to talk on our cell phones in weak signal area again without dropping calls. And, I know if I do have issues relating to the repair, theyll work with me to get resolved.

So my tale begins a few years back when I took all the time to concoct a frosty delicious margarita only to leave 90% of it in a glass next to my MacBook Pro and fall asleep. The full drink condensed heavily (it was July in SD) and water seeped up through the bottom of my computer, ruining the motherboard, battery and other components. I brought my 3 year old computer to the Apple store and the kid there told me to throw out my old piece of junk and buy a new one. When i pressed a bit harder as to what his reasoning was it went something like: Im here to sell computers - not help you get the best solution. It was a 700 dollar Level 4 repair they told me and I left wanting to chuck my paper weight(original price $1700) at their window. Luckily I didnt.Fast forward to current day, I called up iTech when my iPhone home button broke. Tony had that fixed in a flash, and for an awesome price. Super impressed, I questioned about my doomed Macbook Pro which I brought in a few days later.He checked it out for free and let me know he may be able to salvage the logic board. That didnt work, but instead of handing me back my laptop and saying good day, he went the extra steps to find me a great price on a new logic board and battery (and when we later found out I needed a hard drive, he sent a link for that too). I got all the gear I needed super cheap brought it in and Tony turned my unsalvageable computer into the very machine Im typing this review on. Five stars for service, for being super up front about pricing, what can be done, and what the best options for your equipment and wallet are. Thank you iTech!

My Iphone7 got stuck in the apple logo loop, where turning on the phone shows the apple logo and promptly switches to a black screen over and over again. I went to Verizon AND the Apple store and they both told me I need to factory reset my phone and lose all my valuable data and pictures starting from high school. Instead I came here and the gentleman fixed it within 15 minutes for the cheap price of less than $50. What a clutch save as I was willing to spend hundreds to save my data!

This place provides quick service and Tony is very helpful. He was honest and transparent about everything that was needed (for both my cracked phone screen and water-damaged MacBook) and charged a fair price. Finding iTech was like finding treasure. In the same building as iTech is my sons speech therapy class. I had allowed my son to play with my phone and he dropped it. My screen cracked into many pieces. So, I Googled the closes iPhone repair shop and come to find out iTech was in the same building. I took my phone in while my son was in his speech class. I was greeted great customer service by Tony the owner. He gave me a quote and told me it would take about 20mins which was perfect. My phone would was repair and back to perfect condition before my son even got out of speech class. Tony did an amazing job with my phone. I came in after dropping my iPhone 6s in water. Luckily things werent too bad, but my sleep button had stopped working. They helped me right away, inspected the phone, explained what they saw and got my button working again....all for no charge! Have to give these folks 5 well-earned stars as well as my future business.

Love this spot man i have had my ps4 for a long time maybe 10 years and first time i fixed it was the hdmi port and he did the best job. Someone else fixed it after him someone else took it to their guy. My ps4 was a mess and now he left it again like new. New fan and no dust new thermal paste. I cant even hear the fan anymore. This guy is a thief. He will keep your computer for weeks then attempt to over change you for the repair. He removed parts from my device and refused to return them. I bought him a working laptop with a couple issues and received a laptop back that won’t even turn on only to find out many of the internal parts were missing. He will also threaten to attack you if you ask for your missing let’s back. I advise you stay away.

This place is AMAZING! I had an old iphone 6S with a broken screen, the previous owner had the screen replaced before I owned it and they were very expensive and put on a cheap screen- installed badly so the proximity filter no longer worked. At iTech, I went and bought the original Apple replacement screen, only 80$, and they did it super fast- aprox. 10 minutes!!! They also installed it beautifully, and now the proximity filter works, and the touch screen works so much better than before! I am THRILLED!

Ive been to several of the competitors in San Diego, in search of an honest cell phone repair. Others have charged what the cost of a new phone would be, and others have flat out said they wouldnt do the repair. Not here! Tony had a home button issue fixed within 15 min, and charged me for the cost of the parts! Fraction of what I would have expected, and what he could have easily charged me. ITech was able to replace my swollen battery on my iPhone. My screen kept popping out and the repair man knew it was because of the battery.He seemed very knowledgeable and his prices are lower than other places. The shop is inside a business building, so it may not be easy to find. But you can give owner a call and hell help you out.

They never solve problems fully here. My phone has been having an issue with its earpiece and also it goes off unexpectedly. I have been here thrice and the issue has never been sorted fully and they are always greedy enough to demand $50 consultation fee whenever I go there.
