Very convenient being next to the beach and boardwalk. Very affordable and they have lots of equipment and stuff you can rent. We rented bikes and a body board from them.

Dont waste your time and money here they charged us $60 for a broken bogie board that was given to us. We told them politely thats how we received it they blamed it on us. They say they check when return but they dont even do none of that. They should really start doing their job.

We found parking quickly, the beach was not crowded and we had a great time.

Good prices, nice guys, friendly shop! I enquired about purchasing a used wet suit and they offered to sell me one for a good price! Super convenient location with well take care of gear and boards. Would come back and rent from them again next time I visit.

Took my family here to rent paddleboards for the day for the first time. When it came to our turn at the desk, we were met with horrible customer service. The two girls who were working the desk acted like we were inconveniencing them with the couple of questions we had. The gentleman who got the boards for us was really nice and totally helpful which made up for the rudeness we were met with(hes the reason for the 2 stars, otherwise itd be a 1 star). Then when we returned the boards at the end of the day the same two girls were there and one was on her phone and could care less that we were standing there while the other one decided it would be better to talk to her co-worker (the one on her phone) instead of helping us. So disappointed about this. Will not be renting from here again.

They have long boards. And there’s nothing more San Diego than long boards. That’s why I enjoyed the place.

Matt and his crew are really nice ppl. So glad I found this place. Matt definitely took care of me. Helped me pick out the right surf board, they even let you come back and swap it out if it’s too small/large and try a different one. Recommended sizes to purchase. I bet he’d be a cool dude to work for. But ya the place is as close to the beach as you can get. You’ll have to walk down to section 15 to surf cause where he’s at is section 14 which is for swimmers only lol save yourself getting yelled at like i did haha. Cheers Matt man! I’ll be back bruh!

Great prices! You can rent anything here! I rent surfboards. Just $7 an hour and $14 for 2 hours or more. Im a local surfer and native San Diego. I usually come here to get some warm up on longer boards when I havent been out in awhile. I highly recommend. Great location at the beach and at Belmont Park! Need I say MORE???!!!

The board fin broke as soon as it touched the water. You could tell that it was improperly repaired before. Scam artist owner/manager charged me for it even though I brought the board right back and tried to scam someone else returning a board. Other employees were helpful but the owner is a scam artist. Wetsuit was fine but would not recommend this place

Drove all the way from Palm Springs to rent bikes and skates and they said they were going to close early today. Family of five...not happy.

Big shout out to Nick and the whole staff here. The are amazing and have great equipment. Im a Veteran and they truly support the veteran community! I highly recommend using this place. You wont find any place better in town!

I took my kids to belmont park this past weekend and after wanderimg through the park we wanted to rent a fee beach cruisers to further explore the neighborhood and beach. After putting rental shops into google we stopped in mission beach rentals and were not disappointed! A male employee explained how the rentals and rates worked and we were on our bikes and on our way in no time at all! They made us feel so welcome and the process was very quick and easy. Being from Arizona we have friends and family traveling to the beach often amd we are excited to share with them this great find! The location is steps from the beach and the park is also filled with places to eat and other attractions. With parking being more than difficult in the beach area this place is a no brainer with their large public parking lot! 5 stars for Mission Beach Rentals, you guys made our trip!.
