A quaint little shop true to its name. I had no idea there were so many different root beer flavors to choose from! They offer 2 for 1 root beer floats when you purchase their vintage brand of root beer. Jerky flavors you dont find anywhere else. Very tasty!

I was so excited to discover this store. There are dozens of different root beer options, and other sodas as well. I picked up a variety, as well as a bottle of sarsaparilla and a bottle of Ramuné.

Was charged over 20 dollars for 3 floats and was given no spoon and told to go find one asked for a refund and were very unprofessional and had us wait after running around looking for a spoon

The service here was ok. The lady seemed like she didnt want to be there or talk to me.The root beer float is a joke. I picked out my root beer and the lady pulled out two plastic cups from for freezer underneath the counter. The cups already had ice cream in them. All she did was pour the root beer.Otherwise I enjoyed my root beer.

In San Diego for a conference and Im glad I came to Old Town. I LOVED this store. I bought 2 root beers and a pack of jerky. Guess what I ate for lunch! 5 Stars!!!

Arrived at 7:30 found. Several others out front waiting at closed and locked doors to store. Sign on door said back in 10 minutes. We waited 30 minutes no one ever showed up. Other couples has been waiting 15 minutes before we even arrived. Bad business just out closed if your closed. Don’t may people wait thinking you will be back to open up

Such an incredible selection of batch brewed & specialty soft drinks and jerkies. I always try something new each time I step through the threshold of the store, and am always satisfied. Prices are reasonable given location, rarity, and options, and the staff are well-versed to give advice and recommendation. Whether it be a simple Coca-Cola imported from Mexico, a crocodile jerky straight from the bayou, or looking for a variety pack to gift a blossoming connoisseur, Old Town Jerky & Root Beer will keep you hungry for more and thirsty for a new adventure.

Delightful little shop that sells all sorts of delicious beef jerky and fancy root beers. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Definately stop by if youre in Old Town San Diego and get some tasty jerky and check out the rest of the cool shops in the Fiesta de Reyes center!

I was on spring break I. San Diego and I stopped by this place with my family. I love bottle caps, idk why, but I saw the chest of bottlecaps and I filled a bag, only for one dollar. The employees were great, and they let me and my family try different samples of buffalo jerky, alligator jerky, and more. They have great selection of root beer and jerky. I would definitely come again.

Fantastic selection. My wife and I collect root beer, and this place had many varieties we didnt have yet. Plus they have the option for Root Beer Floats! Great!

Had their 2 for one rootbeer float for $7. The ice cream was soft prescooped in a plastic cup. It tasted like fake soft serve. To make the float, they give you the cup and a can of root beer. Horrible. Do not recommend.

Wow i bought a six pack for a modest price a good gift for some of my friends also the owner knows his stuff.
