Yo,This place has some bomb birria tacos! Theres a variety of crafts beers you can try. I had the cider beer which is a blend of bitter sweet taste, easy on the taste buds. But the TACOs blew me away. I was lucky enough to choose this place out of unfortunately arriving too early to the restaurant I initially wanted to try. Not mad at all♡- Ricky♡

Beautiful, modern bar and store. Amazing and varied selection of beers on tap including some great Belgians. Shop has even more choices in bottles and cans. Choices of 4/8/16 oz pours. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stop here while bar hopping. Cans and bottles from all over with neat flavors of beer and priced between $3-7 for most. Some selection on tap as well. Cans and bottles can be taken to go or enjoyed at a table outside.

06/17/21 @3:25pm: First & last time customer. Walked up to the bar to order 2 beers. Tried very hard the bartenders attention. Only 2 people at the bar that had already been served. He starts having a pow wow with one of the patrons at the bar for about 5 minutes before I had just had about enough. We walked across the street to Ballast Point and got served right away. Sure hope they get a new bartender.

Beautiful space and an insane selection of local, regional, and international beers. The draft list is excellent, and the low corkage fees for on site consumption is great given the variety of bottles/cans available. As someone visiting from out of town, I had a hard time picking and choosing what to bring home with me!

They dont have food but you can bring your own and pair with the many beer selections they have available. Theres outdoor seating and it is dog friendly. They have gift cards for all the beer snobs in your life.

A great little spot to sample some craft beers and buy some to go. Their tap list rotates quite frequently so its worth going often if youre into that kind of thing. They also allow you to buy the to-go beer in singles which is great for getting the most bang out of your buck. I highly recommend this place for all craft beer aficionados.

Love their selection of beers but the employee’s attitudes are pretty bad. We came in and asked about the outdoor seating and the bartender replied “we don’t have anything available. Probably won’t for a while, so you can either buy a beer and leave or come back tomorrow”. This was upon just walking in there and asking; I don’t know why we annoyed him so much. He seemed pretty annoyed with everyone that walked in there, so maybe he was just having a bad day. It doesn’t take much to be a decent, nice person, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nice place. I came here for an early evening drink. The patio faces away from the sun so was perfect to watch people pass by. The beer is good, got a parktoberfest. A German style festbier. Would come back again.

There are very few places that feel as much like home as a nice pub with the ones you love. This place has swag and merch as well! Simply one of my favorite little bars in little italy. Plenty of beers of all kinda! Chill.

Great place to get sours; they always have a couple of these on tap. Tons of beer to choose from, and you can either take them home (until 10pm) or have on-site (with corkage fee). Staff is always friendly and helpful.

If you dont check this place out and try some of the great selection of chelas, you didnt visit little italy, a must 👍

Excellent selection of beer on tap and great selection of bottled beer. Love the location and the open concept. The staff is very friendly and very helpful for selecting the right beer. Didn’t have to wait too long to order and wasn’t crowded when I went. Definitely recommend for getting a beer or grabbing some for home

I gotta say I use to enjoy this place but my last few experiences here were pretty bad. I was constantly ignored by this big dude and redheaded guy. plus the attitude when we walk in is not enthusiastic at all. its been a bummer being there so were done with this place. theres other craft beer places out there

Knowledgeable staff with diverse tastes. The adjustments theyve made to stay afloat during Covid-19 are proof of their excellence. Great selection of bottles and cans and you can still fill or enjoy something on tap. Its merely minor restrictions at the moment but no other stop in ill Lil iItaly has a beer selection quite like this.

I really enjoy this brewery. It is smaller than most breweries I have been to, but it never feels crowded. They have a nice indoor/outdoor space and a cute upstairs seating area. Great selection of beers on tap. They also have a store where you can get different speciality beers located in the back. Dogs are also allowed!

Great cray beer place. Fantastic selection. I liked the delorian dust IPA a lot.But grumpy staff. One of the two guys was extremly unhappy and like this not really customer focused- the only downside (17.5.19)

Great selection of beers here! I came here two years ago and loved it, so we had to come back last week while I was in town visiting. I really enjoy the environment, they have a small patio out front which was really nice, and theyre also dog friendly which is wonderful (unlike Ballast Point across the street). Its a nice place but Im taking away one star because the bartender wasnt very friendly. The place wasnt very busy but he was kind of short with us when we tried to ask questions about the beers.

Great spot with some really good craft beers on tap from in town and all around. With all the known, established breweries in the area, youll find some more low key or unknown beers that may make places across the street or around town taste pedestrian..

Love this place... But today (8/23/2029) had the worst service of my life. One tender new nothing about the beer on tap (had to say the number so he knew what to pour)... Had to ask to fill 2 x 16oz pours to the top of a 16oz glass (2-3 oz under fill). Never experienced this ANYWHERE in SD in the last 10 years. Strange. Besides that... Go here. Its an awesome place.

Excellent selection. Prices are steep with some beers. Markup is high but you get what you pay for... they have smart people buying the beer because this type of selection is rare to find...

This place has to be the only craft beer place that just doesnt float my boat. I mean m yeah its craft beer and they do get some rare stuff, but the prices are high and its really a trendy kind of hipster joint. I guess that could be the location. The draft list, the 3 or 4 times Ive been in have always had a jewel though. The people who work here are friendly and always quick and know beer better than most places. The hipster vibe killed it for me. You might totally dig it.

The beer variety here is excellent, and fair priced for their market. However due to the unique venue, extra rules apply. There are no bottles to go after 10pm PDT. Also there is a bottle, can, or cork opening fee for non-draft purchases here if you stay for a drink. They have signs to communicate these rules, but the uncorking fee is a bit misleading when purchasing cans--cans do not have a cork. Its still a good deal to purchase a craft bottle or can here compared to a draft. However, so as not to mislead customers, it would be helpful to rephrase the signs to simply say opening beverages is a fee of (price). Otherwise, this is a unique and great place for craft beer variety.

Beer is great, bartenders not so much. Just there to do the job. No personality. You can get great beer a lot of places in San Diego with much better atmosphere. Go to one of those.

Bottlecraft is always at the top of my beer drinking list in Little Italy. With friendly, knowledgeable beertenders, and a fantastic selection, Bottlecraft will have something you love in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. I simply cannot recommend these fine folks enough.

Great place to pull up a chair and enjoy a pint or some tasters from the well-selected rotation of draught beer. But only a decent place to look for a bottle of beer to take home. About half of the inventory is stored warm, leading one to wonder if even the bottles in the refrigerator were also stored warm before being rotated into cold storage. And the offerings lean heavily towards the sort of beers that sell well to the hip beer crowd (as opposed to examples of many classic beer styles). Parking can be a headache here as well.

This is one of my favorite beer spots in Little Italy. Every time I come here there is bound to be at least a couple specialty beers that I am dying to try and most of the beers they have on tap are hard to find on draft. Their bottle selection is impressive as well. Most of the beers you can get in taster size, so its easy to do a flight and taste more that way.

This is a great spot with a top-notch tap list and a good selection of beers.Ill be honest, I miss the old spot a little bit. I feel like the bottle selection was larger and better organized. This new place has an emphasis on being a craft beer bar.My wife and I like to come here when we walk around Little Italy. Its a great spot to order a beer and chill on the patio.

Awesome place to have a few beers and meet fellow beer lovers! Knowledgeable staff, great selection of beers. They usually have the latest and greatest local releases along with any swag.

Great location, rad environment, and chill staff. Great experience overall. They have a really big selection (though there is only one cider on tap, so if you are gluten free or not a big fan of beer, your options will be much more limited). The only thing that would make this place better is if they served appetizers!!

Quite possibly the most diverse selection of beer available in San Diego. My own personal beer odyssey has been enriched ten-fold simply thanks to the horizon expanding Bottlecraft Beer Shop & Tasting Room. And Im not sure how they keep the prices so low. But you get the feeling this joint is dedicated to providing great, affordable beer for all.Luckily, I live one block away from Bottlecraft. But even if you dont live near Little Italy... who doesnt want to take a short trip here!? It is well worth it. And if Little Italy isnt your scene, the highly successful and popular little shop has just opened a new, larger store in the heart of North Park.You owe yourself a visit to Bottlecraft if you think you like beer at all. Seriously, you will enjoy every sip.

The wife and I stopped by this joint to grab a beer or two after our lunch date. I was looking for a malty stye lager (Boston Lager) and was told we don’t have anything like that. Okay, I said. What is comparable ? He suggested a beer and I asked for sample. He literally gave me foam at the bottom of a shot glass. We where there so we bought our beer and we aren’t coming back. Oh, and the word is out. Great service and pride in your business, NOT !

Love the place, Ive been there on both my trips to San Diego. Business model is unique, as you can purchase a bottle or two and then they (for a small fee) will crack it open at their quaint little bar within the store. All the staff should be commended for their friendly advice and easy smiles, sorry to any ladies reading this review, but the female staff are all drop dead gorgeous!

Fantastic spot with a concept that allows you to try beers and drink tap offerings on site, but buy bottles to take with you as well. the staff were very helpful, and clearly passionate about the beers they served. Will really directed us to some winning beers, and we found ourselves here more than once in our short weekend in San Diego.

On top of this being a great bottle shop and tap room to buy/consume rare beers, but an even better place to drink while you wait for your friends and family to land at the airport. Only a 5 minute drive over there.

If it were anywhere else in the world the selection here would be considered one on the best representations of southern Californias beer offerings. But, it gets a little lost among all the other options nearby. With that said, definitely stop here if your going to be in Little Italy.

Great beer and great regulars. Just stopped in for a last beer before heading to the airport and the guys tasting bottles passed some excellent deGarde my way. Highly recommended if you like craft, had my best beer in San Diego here.

Always has a great taplist. Large and well curated bottle section. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. No food here but you can just bring in your own from any of the surrounding restaurants.

New location is very cool. Draft brews on tap is definitely the new highlight...and boy do they have some good choices. Also, some birds nest seating area seats let you see all the action down below at the bar. Still having all the beer options in bottle form to buy makes this spot a great shopping location for beer!

Great selection of beers, glad to know they always have one or two barrel aged stouts and sours on tap. Always a great selection of hoppy beers on tap too. I like the diversity of bottled beers to take home.

Ive been a member for 2 months now and enjoy my monthly sample packs as well as stopping in here for a craft brew. They have a great atmosphere and some solid flights daily to try. Great option for a local beer connoisseur.

If coffee were beer and beer were coffee, Bottlecraft would be the perfect palindrome. Its a like a coffee shop for your beer. Plenty of selection, some on tap and just a great spot to grab a brew, or a few with friends and pass the time. Whether youre shopping for something great, or just looking to network and check out the art, theyre friendly to all. Even the pooches.

Definitely a millennium bar. Felt out of place being almost 50. Beers were nice and cold and service was good.

I went in just to window shop the bottles. What a great selection of rarely seen brews. I bought some great beer and some glassware. I wish that I had stayed for a draught.

The name of the business describes to a large extent what its about - there are hundreds of different bottles of craft beer that can be had here as well as 24 sorts that they have on tap.Before you make your pick and place the order, you can taste a few different drafts so you can make a more informed decision. I think I got dizzy just from the tasting part.Another cool thing is that they allow you to bring food from any restaurant to have with your beer and there are many good choices around here like Poki, fried chicken, etc.

Great little place with a great selection of beers on tap and for take out sales. Got my first Leipzig beer, a sour gose that was really tasty. Enjoyed a Duchesse de Bourgogne on tap!! Excellent!! Worth a stop if you are in town.

There arent many places like Bottlecraft in San Diego. It combines a tasting room, Ibar, and a beer store where you can buy a bottle, open it and drink it there for a small fee. Its the perfect place to go before getting some food in Little Italy.

Great tap list. They had some La Cumbre beers from New Mexico beers on tap that I know do not distribute to Southern California, so it means they do some trading for kegs or commuting. 5 stars for that effort alone. The pricing was pretty crazy for the pours of that IPA ($4 for a 5 oz taster), but I suppose they had to go to some lengths to get it there.The refrigerated bottle section was small, but all pretty decent offerings. Most things are sold as individual bottles and cans, even if they are typically sold in 6-packs elsewhere (Port Brewing, etc.), but the individual bottle/can pricing isnt bad for their convenient location, especially if you are drinking on premise. A bottle shop + beer bar combination is a great thing for any neighborhood, and they do a good job of it for the limited amount of space that they have.
