Cool selection of beers and foreign beverages, and an amazing selection of cheeses! Paid $20 for a cheese tray for two and got to pick which cheeses we wanted. Great value for money.

Was trying to find a specific beer and a rec for beers I was buying as a gift. The cashier was super helpful and kind. Not only did she find the beer that I wanted (one 4-pack cold, one room temp) but she also made a recommendation and found the last cold 4-pack of it for me. They were all very well received by the recipient of these beers.

TOP SERVICE ! This was our 2nd visit here in recent weeks. Nice friendly service from Stephen the cashier the first time brought us back here again. A nice young man named Tyler looked after us at the service counter on Saturday afternoon. I had picked out 1 x 4 pack of Burgeon Brewing Juice Press Hazy IPA and 1 x 6 pack of Thorn Brewing Hopster Pot Hazy IPA. I couldnt see any canning dates on either pack but Tyler assured me due to their high turnover that they would taste okay. GOOD SELECTION GOOD SERVICE & GOOD PRICES !

Came in looking for a couple beers for a tasting. The young man was super knowledgeable and courteous. I will be back.

They have a good selection of beer craft and non craft, but it can get very pricey; they also have a little cheese shop where you can find cheese platters that you can eat there or take them home. I like it that you can drink your beer there for a small corkage fee.

I religiously go to Bottlecraft in North Park. The selection of craft beer is outstanding. They are connected with a cheese shop with excellent cheeses. Most of the day time you will find Gene working the Bottlecraft side. Gene is very knowledgeable and so humble. He gets to know the customers and treats them with much respect. I cant say enough for how much I love this spot. Before the pandemic, you could go have a beer on tap or pick a beer from one of the coolers to have them open and pour a glass for you. They recently started selling hard alcohol to take home. So thats a new wonderful addition. The most difficult part is parking. Depending on the time of day, it is very difficult to find parking. You may have to park a distance and walk. But other than that, this Bottlecraft is amazing!

Bottlecraft is part of my bi-weekly pay schedule. I get paid, I go down to Bottlecraft and pick up my beer supply for the next two weeks. They always have a huge selection of craft beer and the cans and bottles can all be purchased separately. Theres also a cheese counter within the shop that serves flights of cheese that will match the beer thats being served on tap. The people that work there are fantastic and are always full of information and happy to answer questions about which beers to get. I always feel welcome at Bottlecraft.

Rad little place packed with all kinds of beers of all kinds...ALL KINDS.

Their food was not impressive. I got the seasonal mussels dish and it was unappetizing. The potatoes were deep fried for too long and the bread was burnt. My mussels werent meaty and some of the shells were empty. For the price you pay, its not worth it. Pretty average customer service. Clean table/utensils. I wouldnt come back solely for the food. It looks like people are more drawn to the beer selection here.

Great place to buy new craft beers and ciders in bottles. It seems mainly geared around 22oz bottles, but there are a few cans/smaller bottles. Staff will help you pick a beer as well if you tell them what you like. Inside they have 4 tables and the ability to pour tasters and full beers from the tap. They have a rotating selection of around 10 beers on tap. You can also just buy a bottle and drink it in the shop for a small extra fee. Venissimo cheese shop is also inside and they have a beer flight and cheese pairing you can do for around $20.

Best beer and cheese in San Diego

The Venissimo Cheese in the back is wonderful. A great way to get in the mood for beer! The beer options are extensive and they have a very good selection of hard to find beers. Highly recommend.

Pretty excellent beer shop. Coming from the UK this is better than anything Ive been to before. While not cheap, its breadth of selection makes it worth it. Some very tasty beers here.

Great place. Not a place for deals necessarily, but excellent selection. Venissimo cheese shop in store is my favorite cheese place in San Diego. Beer tasting room always has interesting selection, plus cheese dishes available to eat from venissimo are delicious.

Ugh! What an amazing place! Beer AND cheese in one place?! How could one rate this place anything other than five stars?!Living in N. Cal, I immediately look for the beers from home - just to see if theyre carried in the store. I didnt see much from Bear Republic, but they did have some Drakes which I thought was impressive.Tons of LA and SD beers, a good selection of Alagash, and a big refrigerated section.And the prices were awesome! I bought 7 beers and spent under $40. WHAAAA?!

3.5 stars. The cheese boards here are phenomenal (and unfortunately stink this shop up with a pungent identifiable moldy mildew odor ) but that is credit deserved to Venissimo. Bottlecraft has a good selection of beers at the higher end of prices, and then has a corkage fee ($1.50 small bottle, $2.50 large bottle) on top of it if you are going to enjoy them there. They have 12 taps with 4 oz, 8 oz and 16 oz pours. Most pours run 50 cents to $1/ounce. The average draft pint is around $8 for the standard IPA which is also high. The plus is that most bottles are sold by the single, so you can try something before committing to a full 6 pack. All this would be well and good if the single person counter help was at least friendly, but alas the basic customer service is lacking.

But its not just the best selection of local and international bottled beer, because in the back of the store youll find Venissimo Cheese, a small purveyor of international cheeses. Bottlecraft also has a small area for drinking beer (mostly local) on tap. Who knew that beer and cheese went together, but yes you can eat beer & cheese plates here.

One of the best bottle shops in San Diego. All beers available as single bottles or cans. Many beers are under $3. Fast and free Wi-Fi, and a nice selection of cheeses, but no volume discounts on beer.

For a place that doesnt advertise themselves as anything relating to natural or organic, Bottlecraft boasts one of the better selections of ciders, beers, and the like that fit those categories – and good ones to boot!A pleasant surprise.

Took a friend to find local beers from his home town. Friend is 31 years old. This location wouldnt sell him beers due to his ID looking different from him, his picture id is young looking, gentleman behind counter says they will accept a passports, friend pulls out his passport and is told they cant accept it due to not being an offical California ID. I then offer to buy the beer and am denied since I walked in with my friend. I was a loyal customer till that moment. I will never shop at any brance of this chain again.Thank you Brian for your response and explanation. Sadly this was not the case. Although i understand the fear that ABC has put into your business, the California ID was young looking, the passport photo was less than 6 month old and looks exactly like my friend. The employee stated it was not a California ID after telling him that he can look at a passport. The same employee then stated he cannot tell if the passport is real and cannot verify the passport. We did not understand why someone would say the passport is an accepted form of ID and then deny the ID. I do wish your company the best of luck, I had always enjoyed the options of cheese and beers but this to me was an insult beyound beliefs, the employee should of never offered the option of a passport if the employee did not know how to look at one. Also the employee said that the passport lacked personal information to verify the individual when compared to a California ID.

Great selection of beers and ciders from around the world. Its hard to find Weizenbock in general and they keep some from a few different German breweries.
