I went here to have some reduced beadlock fittings crimped. Nobody else in the area had the tools to crimp reduced beadlock. They crimped the lines while I waited, and even let me watch. Great service and fair price!

Calvin and his business have renewed my faith in quality, honest, and professional auto shops. I took our ageing van there for an oil change and to look into fixing the air conditioning. Overnight Calvin had changed the oil and done a thorough investigation of the AC system. Long story short, enough of the system was in critical shape that a full repair would likely cost more than the worth of the vehicle. Im extremely appreciative of the honest diagnosis and highly recommend Howard Ave Radiator.

Brought my car here because they are supposedly air conditioning specialists. I received an estimate to replace a lot of parts that I didn’t think needed replacing and was told that there could be even more charges once they got inside the car. I felt like I was getting hustled so I took the car to another repair shop and the air conditioning was fixed for 40% of the price and without having to replace many of the parts that this place said needed replacing. These guys are the masters! They can repair pretty much any radiator fast and cheap. Sometimes theres a problem later but thats unavoidable in the automotive industry and these guys do their best to be very thorough. 5 stars, thumbs up, love these guys! Great old school atmosphere too!

Dropped off an old worn out radiator from by Sunbeam Tiger resto project. The staff were friendly and kept me informed on the scope of the job. Picked up a beautifully refurbished radiator; I could hardly recognize it. Cant wait to drop it in my car!

These gentlemen are very honest! AC was not blowing out cool air in my 2004 VW Passat, so I asked Bill to check whether the Freon was low. It turned out the Freon level was OK, but the electronic(s) needed attention from VW dealership. They only charged a extremely low price for their service. I am thankful.

92 GMC Suburban (now 200,000 miles and still going strong) with busted radiator; they enstalled a new one in a couple of hours. Price was fair, staff was nice. Radiator still fully functional 100%... that was four years ago! Now my heater core has plugged up. Im going back to them; and I live in San Jose! :)

Blown away by their capability! Fixed my AC that was given up for dead for nearly 10 years. Fixed it in 2 hours after multiple shops said it was not worth fixing a broken AC on a 2001 Chevy Suburban stating the fix would cost more than the truck was worth. Howard Ave fixed it for the cost of one “O” ring =$18.00.
