Needing to find a store to buy a few things for our hotel stay, we came across this unique HEB. Small, cozy but carried a sufficient amount of things you may need. Aisles are smaller than you expect but for being a grocery, surrounded by Hotels this is a great place. You can order pizza made there and they also had bakery items! Id go back again.
I love this little HEB! It is the perfect place to stop for quick groceries if you are in the downtown area and their wine, beer, and seltzer selection cant be beat. It wont have super specialty ingredients like youd find at a larger HEB but it has plenty of staples.
HEB located on 516 Flores St. in downtown San Antonio is a quick spot for lunch or brunch for those who work downtown. I usually stop by for their freshly made soups, ready made salad, precooked meals all located on the right side as you enter with no wait time as you can grab n go and self checkout. Also you can call and order pizza ahead of time to go and pick up. I also like their sushi and chicken potstickers to go with my cup of hot soup perfect for winters and sit outside of HEB and finish before returning to work. Cookies, Poundcakes, cut fruit platters are best for office parties. Friday evening grocery shopping after work is also a best option to visit here so that you can relax over the weekend and avoid a trip to grocery store. Check if out.
I enjoy coming here. Jesus and everyone who works there are super kind. I love the bakery and the yummy pastries. Sitting outside on the patio is so nice.My favorite store.
The HEB Market downtown is the place to go if you are looking for a quick snack, unique ready to heat meals or a bottle of wine! (Huge selection of wine at all price points!) Everything here screams Fresh! you wont find everything here, but if you are looking for something different, this is the place! They offer an extensive selection of prepared meals, ready to eat sandwiches, fruit, cheese, nuts, beer, wine, fresh sushi, salad dressings, cooking oils, chips, dips and beverages. They also offer 5 different styles of pizza that they make just for you with fresh dough that if you order on the way in you can pu in 15-20 minutes on you way out for just $10! And its So Good! The deli closes at 8pm and the store closes at 9p. you can get gas or air on your way out. great staff, everything reasonably priced except the air for tires at gas station. (a little high) Located at Cesar Chavez and S flores.
It was like pretty much all your HEBs which are always fully stocked with foods and all the natural products of a all the regular products of a grocery store and this HEB has a pharmacy as well its a seafood not fresh but Frozen and everything else that a normal good would have add a good price theyve always been renowned for that. This HEB has the parking lot on bottom level and the grocery store is on the second level and you take a elevator up or the stairs up and you come down elevator escalator or stairs. Good hungry good price good service good
Super cool micro HEB located downtown! They do have parking, however around peak times (430pm-6pm) it can get crowded and fill up. They do have gas pumps as well. The store is a mini version of a regular sized HEB. The HEB has all basic isles (frozen, cold, dairy, dry goods, toiletries, beer, wine, breads, deli and ready prepared meals). Super convenient! Plus you can buy a beer and a snack and drink your beverages on their porch area.
Great little grocery store to go to that was super close to where I was living. This HEB Market Place was always incredibly clean, has fresh food options available that are made fresh daily, and security always keeping an eye on the store. This locations also has a fuel station (unleaded only) but can be very convenient when needed.
Check the expiration date in the Prema de section before you buy. It’s a Good place but my pre made salad had expired 4 days prior and I didn’t notice until I was about to eat it. Once I took out the goopy spinach it was good though.
Went in for a few groceries early in the day. The public restroom was disgusting and look like it hadnt been cleaned since the day before. The checkout person was obviously ill. I greeted him and he igmored it. He was sniffling and I asked if he was sick. He shook his head yes. (I wonder why management would let someone obviously ill be at a public facing area?) As I was leaving I tried to use the hand sanitizing station. It was empty. That was the last straw. HEB higher ups need to crack down on this location.
HEB downtown, not a regular sized HEB, higher end costs, targeted more to the new clientele vs regular neighborhood clientele.Lots of good stuff/mdse here, so expect to pay a little more.HOWEVER!!! Check the clearance section for some really good mark down items. They enforce the social distancing, masks are required, plastic shields and sanitizing in between customers.
Nice little store, not as much variety as a normal HEB but its to be expected from its size. Also, the pizza is pretty good here!
This was enlightening, Every fancy and some ordinary food there. Fresh Pizza with tables outside. Fast checking.
Never used the fuel but people are always lined up for gas at HEB. So they must get good mileage.
This marketplace that doesnt have what I need, not even for my pet. All I wanted was something quick to warm up in the airfryer so I bought HEB already prepared chicken fajita (chicken thigh). I warmed it up and sliced it for tacos also on HEB already cooked tortillas. Well, my second taco had bone in the meat. In the pictures you can clearly see where the meat started or ended depending on which way you view it.Thank goodness it was mine and none of my coworkers on their brake. I spit it out before anyone noticed and threw it away. I guess thats what I deserve for not seasoning it myself. Too bad I thought I could count on a local corporation to feed us when we were hungry and pinched for time at work.
Smaller HEB store, but the aroma of pizza is intoxicating! Great location by our hotel. Got some extras we needed for our vacation with drinks and snacks.
Who ever hired the two associates at self check out should reconsider their position as well as who ever hired them. It was a girl named BELA and and guy named JERIAH or something similar to that. Both rude and unprofessional. In addition to them being rude, hostile, unprofessional, awkward, and unwelcoming. I told both of them thank you and I was ignored. Flat out ignored. Horrible customer service and over all people skills. They need to be put somewhere where no human interaction is involved. Why work in customer service if you are going to carry yourself that way. There are plenty of hard working, NICE people who would love one of their or even both of their positions. I would never hire either of them for any of my businesses. Embarrassing.
Nice little shopping outfit. Simple, yet it covers more than the basics.
Very small and clean great for getting stuff in a hurry if youre running a kitchen downtown
The HEB staff is very helpful and the store is very clean. The only issue is that there is certain security guards that will single people out for unnecessary reasons. It honestly makes me and other people I know uncomfortable. I know they are doing their job but honestly I wish there was like signs saying theres a 30 minute limit to be there or any other rules that they tell people to prevent any confusion or any unnecessary problems.
The only downside 2 this HEB is they do not sell cigarette. The people r awesome here...friendly, outgoing and always willing to help!! Luv them!!
Markets and gas stations are sparse in this part of downtown, so this is an awesome addition to the area. Don’t think of this as just a grocery store. Really. It’s also a cool place to hangout and enjoy a brew and lunch/dinner on the patio. It’s not a full size HEB, mind you, but they do stock a decent amount of groceries. They just don’t have 10 different brands of each item like the full-size ones do.It’s also a great place for a quick and inexpensive lunch. They have plenty of prepackaged salad options, sandwiches, and even pre-cooked entrees available at affordable prices. They have microwaves, plastic utensils, and napkins as you head out to the patio.*Happy hour from 4p to 7p – enjoy a large pizza on the patio with two draft pints for $10 (pizza is made fresh, right on site – it’s not a frozen pizza)*Almost the entire back wall of this HEB is loaded up with craft beers!*There’s a really long aisle that’s stocked with TONS of wine choices on EACH side (see pix).
Convenient location near the river walk. Prices were comparable to other larger stores.
Convenient, I wish the security would be more aggressive when parking gets full.
Small HEB grocery store with gas pumps in downtown San Antonio...very fresh n nice!!
I absolutely love this HEB, their beer selection is great, always finding something new to try. Their pizza is also really good and as everyone else has mentioned, their happy hour cannot be beat. They do have tables and chairs outside with overhead fans so you can sit back and enjoy. I do wish the space betweem aisles was a little better, I know its a smaller more unique HEB, but its popular so it becomes a tight squeeze pretty quickly. Other than that great grocery store, great selections and great pizza.
This place is ok some grocery brand names and organic last time I went in there its nice well stocked and nice area near apartments and near downtown great for families and students.
Cute little store. Has all the basic essentials. Someone made a huge....mess... in the restroom and it was completely dry. Soooo if that says anything about the housekeeping. It spoke volumes to me. I had to let them know up front. Gas prices were great in comparison.
Great local supermarket in Texas!! There’s different ones with bbq drive thrus and they always seem to support there state when natural disasters occur!!
There’s female worker (didn’t catch her name) working the afternoon shift who oversees the self checkout. That chick needs a two piece combo and a drink!Left jab: KindnessRight hook: SmileDrink: SangriaIn all seriousness either give thee ol “refresher training” or put her to work in a different section.
It’s a nice small place for quick groceries. Definitely not as big as most other H-E-B’s so don’t expect a full blown H-E-B. I usually come here pretty often for their $10 pizza special for happy hour which includes 2 free beers from 4-7. Definitely worth the extra calories. Pizza comes out relatively fast and the beer is always good which is I believe Alamo brewery’s golden ale. Not bad for just $10!
IT WAS REALLY NICE TO SEE A DIFFERENT STORE BUT IT WAS GOOD
Great store without the busy crazy crowds. The only problem I saw is that they do not accept payments with the phone like Apple pay, G-pay or Samsung pay I think it would be great if they add that payment option.
Very quaint and had most of what I needed while in town.
Love it good prices great service
Not a big store but very good selection.
Super small 🦐 but but got what I needed
Hated this place..no Mexican products..no charcoal no corn tortillas nothing..best go to a regular heb..this ones for gringos lol
I wish I had a HEB where I live. Its a roll up of grocer, gas, bakery/deli. Loved it.
This is a nice HEB to visit and shop for your groceries and the snack bar is filled with all kinds of delicious tasty take out foods too.
Its a good HEB downtown on Florida Street some of the sandwiches the bread is too hard just letting you know but other than that its a nice HEB clean environment and atmosphere
This HEB is always clean and organized. Its small though. I love that its right up the street from me, but they dont carry many brands per item and thats if they even have the items youre looking for at all. Check it out though. I know now what I can go there for and what I have to go to the bigger HEBs to get. Great beer and wine selection.
Gr8 store, good selection for being a teeny sized store. Decent produce & dairy products, huge selection of beer & wine; I just dont drink either... 😉Lol!
No popular rotisserie chicken at this San Antonio near riverwalk location😞
Its heb always 5 stars
Great concentrated concept. This store has everything you will need, maybe just not the brand. Do yourself a favor and pick up one of their pizzas, you will not regret your decision.
Love the HEB on Solo. Very clean and safe store. Excellent area. Solo is on the rise.
🌵✅Great place to stop for lunch🌄🌵
In and out. Not a fully stocked store for groceries, but plenty of snacks and the pizza is great.
Nice local market. Small but still lots of selection.
Great place to eat and they have small tables outside
The aisles in this HEB are too small and most of the people are very disrespectful... Like they dont know how to say excuse me...other than that it convenient..
Bought a six-pack of beer and got out of there in less than 5 minutes. Downtown traffic is a whole other story.
This store has a great selection of beer and non alcoholic drinks. The food looks so good. The location is fantastic. The wine was the best part. I really enjoyed the sitting area outside. No smoking tho. Check out was fast.
Such a nice and clean store. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The carts are all sanitized and clean. Thank you heb for keeping us safe.
This store is not a full grocery store its more like a convenience store but for the people work right and the service was great we got in and out and got our information but not a full grocery store little more higher in price
I just wanna bring everyone’s ATTENTION to this location I found out today their is a covid outbreak at this store from mangers to employees and they aren’t telling anyone about it cause they are trying to keep it to themselves which they did for a few weeks who knows how long this has been going on so everyone that’s shopping here in the last few weeks might wanna get checked out for symptoms
Grocery store with a homey feel. Tasty prepared foods.
Great customer service and friendly atmosphere.
Its if need something fast and youre in the downtown area
Love this store. Herber Earl Butts is the founder of this store. Lovely selection of different foods.
The tiniest busiest H-E-B Ive ever seen in my life, but they had the coffee I was looking for.
It doesnt matter where in HEB is we go to them we loving stores great prices great people
Smöl and kay-ute. Had most things I needed and well lit and stocked. 9/10 Would Recommend.
Being a small location, it has a variety stuff. I purchased a spicy Hawaiian pizza for $10 that came with 2 cups of Alamo beer. Theres a selection of prepared lunches or dinner to choose from as well as sweets. The check out line are pretty fast. If you come on a busy time you may have to wait a few minutes to park if theres no parking.
Very personable. Reminds me of Austin TX
. gorgeous HEB. Oh how I love thee. Wish I lived 500 miles closer. Clean store with excellent everything. Low prices.
This was the smallest HEB Ive ever seen. It was laid out. My only issue was there was just one public restroom.
The pizza here is sooooooo good! They also let you drink beer while you wait?!? 5/5
Great place to shop small and eat out like their Variety of Sushi. Fresh and Yummy..Clean and very nice employees all around.I would shop here all the time and I do.
нere everyтнιng ιѕ мore prιcey
Enjoy going inside HEB and looking at all the nice stuff they have.
Wasnt even acknowledged while trying to wait in line that a manager was at the end of. Didnt even know she was a manager... A cashier called up someone that was after me... Went to another that had Jason there. I say whats up j?. I got a hi but that was it... I work on a different side of town and people always say that its a certain way there and they are used to being treated differently. Funny how its everywhere.
I had a second interview scheduled at this heb. When I came in the too tall man in the entrance ignored me,I said excuse me like 2 or 4 times, they acted as if they didnt see or hear me.I moved and looked for someone else and when I found them they took me to the office. When I got to the they didnt even know they had a interview at 2 and I had arrived 35 min early. So I waited for them to print out my paperwork and then the interviewer keonte or something like that interviews me and tbh we talked more about him than the job but I answered all the questions in a fluent, experienced worker tone.Anyway he then tells me I have to wait for a 3rd interview next week.Never called me and also they denied me the job.I cant be mad they did not hire me even tho it did upset me cause times are hard and I have a 1 yr old daughter it is not easy going to jobs that say they hire but give u no excuse of why I was not hired I met all the qualifications. This store is very rude and I wont be returning GET BETTER MANAGERS AND STOP IGNORING PAYING CUSTOMERS.(PS THE BATHROOM WAS GROSS)
I came Here to get certain meats. This place has nothing. No gizzards, no capocollo.
Love the fresh pizza great alcohol selection even the non alcoholic drink section is bomb. All the glass bottles soda waters and canned sparkling waters. They also have microwaves if you want to get some food warmed up there.
Pizza, Bakery, and the Choices of Beer make this HEB Special. If you are anywhere near downtown you have to visit
Hot fresh pizza and they had chicarrones. Nice in and out HEB and Frank the cashier was Awesome coming back for his great customer service and knowledge of the store!!
Its an HEB in downtown but a little bit smaller 🤣
Good selection of products. This is not the biggest HEB in San Antonio but they still have a good variety. The house brand is high quality at great prices.
The Pizza is Great.
Omg 1st time at this little H.E.B. Had lunch with my brother Excellent Artisan Pizza 🍕
HEBs headquarters down the road. So I invisioned this HEB Fuel station to be a model example of what a Texas gas station / grocery market should be. I was wrong.1 single restroom, with a sign saying customers only (I came to be one, and that was off putting)Not even a mens and a womens restroom. For a sizable building. Whoever designed this failed to see what the convenience of a Fuel station is also about. Covid aside, 1 star for one restroom.Clean. Nice friendly staff standing around looking for things to do (chatting) and not just one or two were talking 5+Otherwise, thanks for the soda and snack.
Great little market with everything you need
This is HEB’s flagship store next to the S Flores St corporate headquarters. Very clean and friendly staff!
Ran in and ran out, wanted pizza but the wait time was going to be 30 to 45 min.to long for someone who had already worked 12 hrs and just to get home, after at long day
