The staff here are polite, responsible, and knowledgeable. I had to say this after reading comments made by chronic complainers. I was advised by a staff member to consider the CVS Care program. I did, joined, and have saved money. Last, as a senior, I usually don’t understand the discounts available to me; staff (at the two stores closest) are always patient to explain things. Thanks.
Elegantly designed minute clinic. My nurse Candace went the extra mile!! She took the time out of her busy schedule to find me listings of all Aetnas primary care physicians close to home. She WOWED me when she handed me the printed listings!! Thank you Candace your amazing!!
I admit it...Just went in to break a $20... so I could have change to pay Via Trans.🤷 Sure didnt expect the friendly helpfulness that was lavished on me in true Texas style! LISA didnt give me that (Im bored glance and obligated Hello) SHE DID NOT HAVE A LINE OF CUSTOMERS SO CAME OUT FROM AROUND THE REGISTER WITH A JOKE AND A SMILE AND REALLY ENJOYED PROVIDING SERVICE👍😉. By the time she was through helping me, I was able to buy a specific type of light weight thumb brace I have searched all over for, found a couple of gifts. She also took the time to explain that CVS has upgraded their Extra Bucks reward to their new CarePass program, saving me enough to comfortably pay for the braceand gifts. This employee multitasked and easily gave every customer the same EXCELLENT SERVICE! The gentleman standing beside her stayed busy the whole time. No one had to tell him what needed to be done and twice I observed him going to the back end of the store to find the desired item, saving time and energy for the elderly! HOPE MANAGEMENT SEES THIS CAUSE LISA HAS BEEN FAITHFULLY REPRESENTING YOUR COMPANY FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS! (hint! hint!)
Their walk-in clinic is not walk in at all. I was told by the Care Concierge that I cant just walk in and I had to make an appointment. If thats the case, then CVS needs to rebrand their MinuteClinics from being labeled as a walk-in clinics to just regular clinics.
I just called for a prescription refill. The connection wasn’t great on my end. It was hard to hear the staff or the pharmacist, whoever the lady was. I wasn’t sure if I had to call my doctor for the refill, I just wanted to confirm. She lost her patience and replied with a rude attitude: “Oh my God, we will etc...” My family and I have been using CVS Pharmacy for years and this CVS location specifically for 3 months. This is the first time I’ve had this ugly experience. I just got a very ill representation for CVS Pharmacy. If I were new to CVS, I would have wrongly judged the pharmacy over this poor impression.
Walked in to get a flu shot at 9 am. We were in and out in about 15 minutes. Staff is great about masks and distancing. Pharmacist was really nice and professional. Store seemed clean. Best to go when few people are there since there were a few people who walked in with their noses out.
Went in and grabbed something to drink and a snack it was clean and organized the cashier was polite
My husband called this afternoon for some medication information and got transferred to the pharmacy. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and abrupt. We felt offended by the way she treated us. I guess we were just out of luck with this location.
Horrible pharmacy service. We made an appointment for the drive thru testing submitted all the info online, showed up 15 minutes early and waited our turn in line got to the window checked in and waited about 20 minutes while they were checking something about the insurance. Not sure what the problem was we checked before arriving with the insurance, they then asked us to wait for them to call us and we would be able to get the test. When I called the next day they say they have no idea what is going on and that theyll call me back. I still have yet to receive a call back.
I would like to start off by saying that this location has an amazing staff. Yesterday I was running around trying to get some pictures developed. I uploaded them online and indicated Sonterra location as my home store yet my pictures got rerouted to Thousand Oaks. After an hour I went on my lunch break down to Thousand Oaks w no pictures ready and them still not showing them came through. My pick up time was indicated at 1:15, I arrived there at 1:00. They still don’t show receiving them at all. Lucky for me I decided to leave and go to my home store on Sonterra. They helped me out with my 19 invitations and was kind enough to acknowledge the online 40% off for enlargements. Dee the manager there was so helpful and calm while I was just a bit annoyed over the whole thing. She handed herself wonderfully and was such a beautiful example of how good customer service goes a long way, especially during this time of year. That team really went over the call of duty to put a smile on my face! Thank you to Dee and the management team at CVS!
Great employees, awesome service and they always jump right away to help the customers( excellent customer service). I love the location because is in the middle of two very important and busy streets so, is very fast going in and out on your way home. The personnel always find the way to satisfy the shopper needs, including the managers and the store manager Jeffrey. I love the store, they have everything I need.
I cant believe that this CVS has such a low rating! Its always so nice and clean and the people are always so helpful and nice! They always welcome me when I walk inside, and even being the pain in the tush like I am at the register, they never mind ringing out the way I need to! I normally do multiple transactions at the register because of the extra care bucks! They never seem to mind at all and they always ring me out perfectly! They have items for clearance all the time here too! I got the makeup I always buy for 75% off! Needless to say, I got 3... Lol! They take great care of their store and are far too wonderful and accommodating to have such a low score! I hate it when people have one minor inconvenience at a place and they go and leave a one star review! How would you like for someone to do that to you on a day that might not be your best? Anyways, I recommend this CVS because they are awesome! Oh ya! And they have an ATM in the front of the store too! Makes it super nice to pull out cash while Im out running errands!
Friendly and willingly to go the extra mile at the pharmacy. They were a lifesaver when the other CVS 5 miles down the road kept me on hold for 45 minutes and I needed my RX pronto. They also were willing to look up discount coupons and help me save money on my RX.
Quick service at the Minute Clinic.
I went yesterday to the pharmacy on this location. The guy that it’s in charge of the pharmacy is so rude I don’t have his name but he was the tallest there. I asked him for help to find a medication in another cvs and he said he can’t help me. I asked some others questions and he answered all of them so rudely. You need to have more friendly staff. As a customer we don’t deserve this kind of treatment.
I live literally next to this location and everyone knows me as that guy that goes in almost everyday 😂
I believe that CVS employees need to learn better manners and it’s sad that CVS employees forget that because of us, the customers, you have a job!
Quick and convenient. Great location. I am always greeted at the door both on the way in and on the way out. I like to stop in for a snack, a quick trip to the atm, then outside to the Redbox machine.
My Mom has prescription pain medicine due to SEVERE back pain. I called a few days before the prescription was due to be filled to make sure they would have it in stock. They said they would. Today was the day it was to be filled and I received a text message from CVS today informing me that the medication was on order and wouldn’t be ready for 3 days but if I wanted to get it from another CVS today to call them. I called and was notified that this medication cannot be transferred to another pharmacy because it is a controlled substance. I informed the pharmacist that I had called several days ago to make sure they had some in stock for the day the prescription could be filled. I asked him if he had any suggestions and he said, No, I can’t help you and I don’t have any suggestions, I’m just the weekend pharmacist.” The pharmacist was rude and could have cared less about my Mom’s situation. This is the second time this has happened. So, now I get to call my Mom and tell her that she won’t have her pain medication for 3 days!
First visit and when I got home, the pharmacy had messed up my precription and had given me 1 count of a prescribed 5 count, but charged for all 5. They were nice when I called and said I was welcomed to come back at my convenience to pick up remainder. I love CVS and this was a good first experience at this store.
Dont ever use the minute clinic.Ive wasted my entire lunch break because no one communicated about a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.Fantastic.
DO NOT GO to CVS for a Covid-19 test. They have a sign posted that says results in 2-4 days but then they tell you 6-10 days. 12 days later I still do not have my results back. When you call they just tell you theyre backed up and they dont know when they will be done.
Lady at the front desk:No smile, can I help youYes maam. I need to drop this off.OK. Well page you when its ready. This was in the snarkiest, pissiest way you can fathom. If you hate your job that much, QUIT. I worked retail for years too but I never let my customers know that I hated it. Words to the lady in the black shirt, short with brown hair; Some people have just spent the last eight hours in an emergency room fighting pain and havent slept. Your day isnt as crappy as some. Be nice or quit your job.
Manager on turn was not compliant with distancing.
Tried this pharmacy after a bad experience at another CVS up the road on Stone Oak.... worse experience here. Nobody in like and three pharmacist working.... still took 25 min for them to even offer to help.
Walgreens said the antibiotic prescribed by the MD was not stocked anywhere in town. The pharmacist at Walgreens took a long time to pick up and confirmed this. I called the CVS less than one block away from the Walgreens in Stone Oak. They had the antibiotic ready to go in pill form OR liquid immediately for my 11 year old. I have to wonder if Walgreens is more interested in keeping medicines to a minimum to increase profit. Cvs is still taking care of patients. I loved this cvs when I lived in stone oak. Unfortunately I moved three years ago. Great that I can still call on this store to deliver in my hour of need. Thank you to pharmacist and staff working 3/30/16 at 7:30pm!!!
This guy Gary ripped me off at the register. Everyone needs to check the totals before paying and leaving. I made a purchase of several items and he manually entered an item, instead of scanning, and he raised the price of the item. He stole from me. Beware of Gary at the register.
Rude customer service and false advertising
I love Scott 😍

Best Pharmacy
Great people
My wife and I had a horrible experience. Im not from San Antonio, but traveled there for medical reasons. I was scheduled for surgery across the street but was an hour early, so decided to walk around CVS to kill time and purchase anything we thought could use. At some point, a young male employee started following me around the store. I stopped to look at him and he walked away and begin acting like he was shopping or working. My wife and I continued browsing and noticed he was now in the front of the store with an older female employee. They both continued to stare and the woman had her arms crossed staring at us like a Principal would look at a misbehaving student. They just would not take their eyes off of us. My wife and I got upset because there were others in the store as well, but we were being singled out for some reason. We decided to put the items we were going to purchase back and just leave. On our way out the woman made a point to stretch out her neck and asked us, while we were approaching the exit doors, Can I help you with something?! I explained no, that we were browsing while waiting for my surgery time. We then walked away. I dont understand if they singled us out because we were browsing the entire store or if it was because we were Hispanic, but I have never been made to feel so humiliated and unwelcome. We are both professionals in our late 40s and were made to feel like delinquent children who were trespassing. Well NEVER return there again.
