This company is fantastic to work with! The planning experience was great and Leon really helped us out by bringing floor samples to our home and walked us through many options. Very professional, patient, and personable. We had our whole downstairs carpeting replaced and the install team had several folks here who got right to work and knocked it out in a day. All furniture was put back in place and they cleaned behind themselves nicely. We are very happy and love the quality of our new Shaw carpet. We also had our fireplace redone. Again, a very professional job was done and the owner stopped by and checked up on both installations several times. Really good service all the way around.We did shop Lowes just to compare products, prices, and service. We believe with Floor Coverings Int. we got a better product, much better service, and the price was competitive. The overall experience was great and I highly recommend Floor Coverings Int!

We went from carpet & laminate to the luxury Vinyl plank all on our first floor. We love the new look! The team came within a few days of ordering the new floors. It took two & a half days of work and they did an excellent job. They were also very respectful of our space and home items. Pricing was affordable! Flooring Coverings International NW San Antonio completed two projects for our remodel. In both, they were exemplary in customer service and extremely polite. They were careful to protect our furnishings and existing floorings. At the end of each day, the workspace was cleaned up and they did their best to make sure the home remained livable, even though replacing most of the flooring in the main part of the home.They were clear on the bid and the work to be performed, and completed all with an attention to detail, well beyond our expectations. A few challenges encountered and changes requested were handled with care and resolved satisfactorily.All in all, highly professional, respectful, quality service providers whose word can be counted on, be it product, performance, or schedule, a rarity in todays contractor world.

First of all, let me say that I would recommend FCI over any other contractor any day! They are a pleasure to work with, honest, patient, flexible, and trustworthy. They have done multiple projects for us with great results. They put wood floors throughout our house, tile in the laundry room and fireplace. We just had them re-do the tile in our kitchen because another contractor had done a poor job, and we are very pleased with the results. Weve had the same crews work all of our projects which speaks to the kind of company they are. Most trades dont maintain a consistent crew, so they must be doing something right!The only thing that I would say could be improved are the finishing details...Ive had to correct baseboard caulking that has gaps and remove adhesive that overflowed when the wood was installed. But these are mere annoyances considering everything else these guys do right. They truly go above and beyond - even getting extra baseboards for our other contractor who remodeled much of our house.

Sales staff listens to the customer and replies with specific, to the point answers to questions. Workmen are prompt and efficient. I appreciate that they clean the area up each evening. Product is good and prices are fair.

These guys are great! So professional, so diligent in living up to everything they promised. The crew was hard working and polite, considerate of the disruption such a big job necessarily caused our family. Their attention to the smallest detail was extraordinary. They showed genuine commitment to their craft and the level of supervision by Leon and Javier (owners) you just don’t see these days anymore. Leon was our initial point of contact and his bid was lower (by far) than the five other companies we asked to give us a bid. He is one of those people you instinctively know you can trust to give it to you straight. His questions about our project helped resolve in our own minds what we wanted. He didn’t try to up-sale, didn’t offer false assurances, and accurately predicted challenges unique to our property. When there was a setback to the project because the builders took a cost savings shortcut (using mud sand instead of concrete in the subflooring underneath the tile we were removing) it cost them an extra two days of demolition. They never complained about the delay it would cause their other projects. They fixed the problem and moved on. Javier was a constant presence coming four or five times to check on progress and make sure, along with Leon, that everything was done right. When you deal with people like this you want to tell all your friends and even people you don’t know just how good they are. Give them the opportunity and you’ll see what I mean.

Not a five-star company.FCI (San Antonio) came recommended from a neighborhood group on Facebook. Heres my experience:1. Difficulty scheduling a consultation. No communication between staff, foreman, and associate; and no email confirmation until requested.2. Foreman didnt take measurements or go over different options.3. Associate was aloof.4. Dont expect any follow up.FCI is a Franchise, so this experience was probably predictable. Youll be upsold on products that are wholesaled from smaller manufacturers, so expect a hidden, significant premium on parts and labor. Making margins on a Franchise isnt easy, so the foreman is incentivized to upsell you and advise against more practical, affordable options from national brands.I cant speak to the quality of craftmanship at FCI (San Antonio), and Im sure they will do good work if you pay their hefty premiums, as reviewers attest. However, get more for your money elsewhere.CONCLUSION. Youll get more variety, transparency, and competitive pricing at Home Depot or Lowes. Buy your materials there, and find a good local business that works with customers based on their needs.

The owner, design associate and crew manager will tell you what you want to hear(lip service) simply to make a sale. They express the durability of their merchandise that’s it better than any other floor company or competitors, but in reality, it’s the same product but with a super higher price tag. anxious, desperate and very aggressive in their sales pitch, they demonstrate positive results, durability of flooring(resilience) which in reality is just the opposite. FCI of San Antonio are very professional. Right from the time they visit you to discuss the different products that they offer - to the finish of the project; you can feel the peace of mind. They did a major tiling project for me which they undertook in one and a half days and not the 3 days they had projected!!. The end product was so perfect and beautiful – more than what I had expected. They do have a very attractive payment plan too for those who may not have immediate cash to spend. Overall, I would give them a 5 rating in all aspects.

The work was completed on time and the quality was excellent. Before giving the job to FCI I got a couple of quotes from other flooring companies that had relative good reviews. The cost was about the same but they had hidden extra costs and in fact one of them did not evaluate correct the old hardwood installed from the past (so the new one wouldnt look the same). The service was also by far better, giving me all options and what is the best to do and why. The other companies just proposed what they thought better and I believe in practice they were guiding towards solutions that increased their profit margin in labor or parts. Furthermore, my communication with Leon (Design Associate) was exemplary.

I don’t normally do reviews but....This company is awesome!!! Highly recommend and would use them again and again. They are absolutely professional. Leon was our Design Associate. He walked us completely through the process of selecting the right floors. Had tons of examples to show us. Made recommendations and very attentive to what we were looking for in flooring. Next came the install team. What a refreshing difference! I have had some install teams that were....well absolutely horrible. Not these guys. They are extremely professional and treated our home as if it was their own. Daniel was the team boss and Carlos was I guess the foreman he kept us appraised of ever step. The rest of the crew, Eric and Cayo were also extremely competent and friendly. And finally who should show up on the first day of the install just to make sure we were happy and everything was going as planned? Javier Alanzo, the owner of the company. Very nice personal touch. Oh and I almost forgot the most important part of this entire review. We absolutely love our new floors and the color was perfect thanks to Leon’s suggestions. Well done guys!

We hired the company after looking at online reviews. We had a good experience with the intro and felt comfortable. We though the higher price they demanded would be reflected in the outcome. Not so much.We had the staircase converted to wood from carpet and it is very good. Manuel is a true craftsman and did his best.I cannot say the same thing for those who laid the hardwood floors. Sloppy job. Mediocre at best. We had an incapable onsite supervisor who refused to see the outcome. Upstairs hardwood was laid on cork to prevent the hardwood to make crackling sounds and we have the crackling. They promised professional cleaning after the work; it was terribly amateurish.So they have good lip service but real service was disappointing and is not worth the money.

I really like their mobile showroom! It is very convenient to see the exact floor you are going to choose inside your own home with current lighting of inside the house. Installers were very respectful and kep the house clean at all times. I recommend their service to anyone who reads this review!

It seems these days that Customer Service is neither Service nor Customer oriented. But Floor Coverings International seems to be the exception. Leon Perez-Luna was the main point of contact. He was exceptionally professional and certainly knew his business. The work that typically takes two days was started and finished in one day due to an extreme need for a short completion. Without cutting corners or doing less than the utmost in workmanship, Daniel and his crew arrived on time and promptly started the work. They completed the work in its entirety and left with the house in the condition they started but I now had a brand new floor. The question thats always asked afterward is, would I consider using or referring Floor Coverings International? And my response is a definite YES...in fact I sent Leon next door as potential new customer since my neighbor recently suffered damaged flooring after a burst water pipe incident.

Phenomenal group of people. I have worked with FCI NE San Antonio on quite a few projects and the results have always been great. I run a small Air conditioning and heating company and know that if my clients ever need flooring replaced due to a water leak that FCI will handle it from start to finish.

Had a great experience. The installers delivered the job on time, and I was and still satisfied with the looks and quality of the material used. My sales representative Mr. Ryan Houle was also very transparent and helpful.

They were very patient with me making my decision about which flooring type, colors, etc. After I called, they sent out a rep with samples and gave me a couple weeks to consider. I got multiple proposals on paper for the several different styles I was considering so I could also keep pricing in mind. I ended up switching to yet another option, got a new proposal, scheduled the install and they showed up two weeks later to get started.The workers were very fast, very polite and very helpful. They handled moving all the furniture around while installing and put it back when they were done. They found glue they thought might be asbestos so they scheduled a test and when it came back positive, they gave me a few options (removal, rock board over it, switch to floating install). When I decided on removal, they contacted a remediation company and re-scheduled the install for after the removal.They were very flexible in working with me on the asbestos removal, which delayed their schedule a week. Once they got back in, they finished in less than three days, even with a few modifications I threw in. Since I paid for the asbestos removal myself (rather than rolling it into FCIs billing), they also subtracted the labor costs associated with everything the asbestos remediation took care of and I got a new, lower price in the end... plus a discount for paying cash/check.When it was all done, I had nice new porcelain tile and quarter-round shoe board throughout my home. Ive got a few extra boxes of leftover tiles to keep around for any repairs later and the paint they matched to my baseboards in case I need to do touch-ups.Theyll tell you up front that theyre a bit more expensive than the competition but ts well worth it. They worked with me, adapted to my changes throughout and fixed/adjusted any issues I pointed out, even replacing a tile the asbestos remediation company damaged.

I bought my house with a different floors in the first floor (wood) and second floor (carpet). I called couple of different companies and they all asked me to change both floor, more expensive. Floor Covering was the only one who matched the floor and were able to do the job within the time they promised and with a person supervising the project all the time, always asking about my satisfaction. that is customer service!

I had a small carpet job in Rockport that need to be done and I hired FCI from San Antonio. They were very responsive to come out and quote the project and were able to find the exact same carpet to match. A crew came out no more then a week after my initial appointment to install the carpet, they did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will always use Floor Coverings International for all my flooring needs.

Made an appointment via Home Advisor. Young man came, we had already had Empire come by, told him what we wanted, to match the laminate we already had and continue where there was carpet. Pull up the carpet and put in laminate. He talked about the company and then brought in sample boards! Empire was limited and could not match the floor we had. This young man had several boards and we decided on a sample as long as he could bring in a whole piece and let us see it next to ours! He agreed and took 100 dollars and said he would be back in a couple of days with the sample!Couple days go by and I call, the card he gave me was not his number??? Was the store and I told who ever answered we needed feedback! He called later that night to say that specific sample was discontinued! He said he would call Monday. Who Called Monday was Home Advisor, I told them what I thought of their Professionals! Then The long man called and said they could not come close to matching it, Odd, I could match it at Lowes same day! But too close to Thanksgiving now and I told him we were done. He said if I could find it we could and I stopped him. I gave them a chance, the showed discontinued samples? Were done! And the Price was way too high, $5000 for 50 square feet?
