The management at Hill Country Honda were world class. When my car was having issues, they valued my time and money and were extremely accommodating. Being able to shuttle me from home to dealership (and vice versa) was an added bonus. They treat customers with care and always seem to be solution-based all around! 10/10!

If you’re looking for a phenomenal salesman that gives you room to make the right decision and assists every step of the way, Butch Wright is the man. I was able to purchase a beautiful Toyota Tacoma at a fair price which is all you can ask for in this market. Once done, Sean in finance Finished things off efficiently and professionally. Highly recommend this team at Hill Country Honda as it’s one big family.The one thing I will say is that the mandatory package valued at 2800 is a bit of a cash grab and is only ‘mandatory’ once you say you want it off. Also; Because the vehicle I purchased is used it strangely does not include the 2 oil changes though the price remains the same. Big thumbs down on that but it is on the owner.

Shady business practices like others have expressed on here. After test driving the car we went to talk numbers and the salesperson conveniently forgot to mention that all cars come with a $2800 package that automatically is on all cars. So the price isnt the price they advertise. Being in sales myself, if I forgot to let a client know about a $2800 additional fee that is tacked on to all cars that is mandatory, I wouldnt have a job. What is the $2800 package? Nothing that costs that amount.

Ive purchased several cars in the past, but have never been to a dealership where they wont sell you a vehicle unless you buy the extended warranty. This dealership was the first. If you want to buy a vehicle, but want the option of not buying an overpriced extended warranty, and LoJack I would avoid this place.

We worked with Alexia at Hill Country Honda and I would recommend her to anyone, hands down! She was super attentive, a great communicator, consistent with her follow up (but didnt seem pushy at all), and she went out of her way to help get us some answers to our questions. We were very up and down and back and forth, and Alexia never got frustrated with us or tried to pawn us off on anyone else. When we had some questions she wasnt able to answer, she made sure to gracefully put us in touch with her manager, who was able to find the info we wanted, and we absolutely commend him for that as well. 10/10 would recommend Alexia, her manager, and Hill Country Honda. Also... if you havent driven a CRV Grand Touring, you definitely should. Its a great car!!!

I would not buy from these guys.I have bought multiple cars in my life. The service here was by far my worst experience. They try to side swipe you with a $2000 hill country care package. They ran our credit before letting us know they were automatically including this package. Then when I asked to remove this package. They refused. Salesman said that everyone pays for this package. We told them we have bought cars before and we don’t pay for additional packages. We pay for GAP insurance, if needed.In my experience, these warranty packages are optional. Not mandatory. It became an argument and we had to leave. Really unprofessional. The world is always trying to take advantage of the customers. Steer clear from these guys. They are definitely not working towards the best interest of their customers.

She listened to what we wanted and worked to get us the best deal possible. Once we reached an understanding, she ensured that we were well attended by the finance department where Mr. Garza assisted us by explaining to us in detail all the paperwork that ensued. I bought a CRV from the “Jose Team” and they were amazing! I called to see how much my car was valued at and Jose was very friendly and informative. He booked me an appointment to come in and was at the door waiting to greet me when I arrived for it! He was with the other Jose that was also very friendly. He tried no tricks, just went straight to what I wanted! I got the a number WAY higher than expected and a great deal on an upgrade. It was amazing and fast. Definitely will be coming back to buy an upgrade!

Dont trust the service department. They lie about whether a part on the car is working or not and will overcharge you for repairs you dont need. They strung us out on needless repairs turning our car into a money pit. The repairs they completed were of low quality. Had to take elsewhere for proper repair.

This week I walked into Hill Country Honda to just see a vehicle. As I walked into the dealership I was greeted by one of the most friendly person I have seen. He was awesome with my family especially with my kids. He spoke to us as if we were family. He was there with us from the Welcoming at the front entrance to him showing us an SUV that we were looking for. Explained fully with all the details of the vehicle that made us want the SUV. Was there through the negotiations all the way to the financial department to where we bought a Honda CR-V. A very special THANK You to JUAN JARAMILLO our sales man for the wonderful experience. It took me two attempts to cancel my warranty that I did not want in the first place. After, it was finally cancelled they told me it would take 4-6 weeks to get reimbursed. It has been over 2 months and I have not received my reimbursement. I have been calling periodically and trying to be patient. This is unacceptable and every time I call they do not know what is going on, ignore me, or tell me fake updates. I just want my money back . It should not be this hard. Also, do not tell me to please call a specific section because I will get the same run around I have been receiving. Just fix it !!!

Went Into Honda to see if I could trade in my vehicle. And the offered me 3000 dollars for my bmw. Which is worth around 12,000. And wanted to roll over my loan to my next vehicle. Putting me into a vehicle of bad equity. Why would you think anyone would think that is a good deal? They also told me that they were only going to do a soft Inquiry to check my credit. However it just showed up as a hard check on my credit. Will never do business with this company. Definitely some shady stuff going on at this place.

Me and my life partner just went in to look at cars last week and got to work with Enrique Perez. Came in today to get a recalled airbag replaced. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Got checked in and was told the replacement will take about 3 hours by the clerk. 3 hours later (no call, no update, nothing) my car has not even been started on. Manager told me the scheduled time is just to drop off the vehicle and compared it with a doctor’s office. Cool story. Never going back again. Facility is nice and clean, has free coffee.

Shady, lying scumbags, the lot of them. The sales manager had the audacity to cry that they cant afford to match another dealers price because theyre such a small local dealer... 20 minutes before calling me to ask me to return because the general manager said they could, in fact, match said price. This is also the same dealership whose service department claimed there was nothing wrong with my older civic despite the timing chain being audibly worn out. Instead they tried to sell me a new car. I wouldnt trust these people to give me a fair price on a cup holder, let alone to service one.

Bought my Honda Accord Hybrid from here back in November 2020. I got an amazing deal and had a great experience. I definitely recommend trying the Accord Hybrid for yourself. I used to drive a Toyota Camry and didnt realize how small, cramped, and uncomfortable it was until I got in the Accord Hybrid. I also recommend Hill Country Honda as they treat you well and gave me a great price.

I deal with Honda hill country I like all departments specially parts then I deals with service nice person trey smiling but the work on the car very bad they charged me $126 for battery and $34 to install and after that the car won’t start I asked them so you told me my problem is the battery without checking my old battery good or bad then they tell me to bring it for dignos is which will cost a lot and they didn’t tie the cable and that caused the car not to start and they didn’t reset my codes for the radio I thought I was going to be treated good and my car would be served by the professional but I’m sorry to say they are very sloppy. They charge you more but do less I will never go there again enough I spent a lot for oil change and tire rotation and battery over $245 and my car won’t start until is jumped first auto zone later told me you neeed to tight the positive cable and did it for me for nothing I gave the person little tip

Was looking at a used Lexus. Car was clean, good price online, test drive, etc. only to be told that EVERY vehicle has a $2k+ package. I assumed it was optional, but they ALREADY installed this unnecessary package with really pricey options like nitrogen in the tires (LOL). Completely SHADY and predatory practice, who falls for this? We walked off, never to return. The prices they quote online arent the real prices.

John Medelez in sales completely lied to me abused my credit and ran my credit 4 times for no reason and didn’t tell me. Lied about the services being done to my vehicle lost my car and made me wait hours to tell me a lie. I will never recommend his services or hill country Honda again.

I was there to get service on Friday 23 regarding to my battery problem. The guy that helped told me right away the battery was already out from the warranty. I have gotten this battery from them in 2019 and i thought it will be still under warranty but apparently it wasn’t according them. He had me wait for a long time to let me know that there was something wrong inside the car regarding the cause of this problem. He said that I had to choices either to leave the car or bring it back another day. He mentioned about warranty might be able to cover it since it was something to do with the car and they never changed the battery to a new battery. I told him a will be back another day. I left with the same old battery that was giving problems next day. Bad service and experience with this dealership.

I want to share about my horrible experience at Hill Country Honda on Friday, September 24, 2021. I had been in search of a Honda Civic, so I called Hill Country Honda on Thursday, spoke to salesman Jose Colon and asked about a specific model I saw online and its availability. He told me it was there and available, so I made an appointment to come see on Friday. I mentioned to Jose that I was looking at a few cars at several dealerships. When I came in, they said Jose was not available but sent another salesman named Chris Barron to come assist. Chris asks me which dealership I just came from so I tell him Gunn Honda. Chris starts asking me questions about why I like Civic and what I liked about car I am wanting to trade-in and avoids my questions. He also keeps asking about what Gunn Honda offered. When I ask about Civic I called about, he tells me it’s in service but says there are others. He then takes me to a few on lot, and we test drive one. We then go inside as I am asking for sale numbers because they don’t have price on car. He then calls his manager (never caught his name but he is medium height with black hair) over who keeps asking me to tell me which one I want. I keep repeating that I want to know the price on both because price is a point for me as I know I want a Honda. The manager refuses to tell me the price but continues to ask me what other dealerships are offering me. I asked three times for price of car. He says he can’t tell me unless I tell him what my price range is. I tell him I can look up online, and he says to do it. I then firmly ask to see price of vehicle and he says he is going to back and the manager and Chris the salesman disappear to back somewhere. I walked out of dealership. I have never felt so disrespected as a consumer as I did at this dealership. Then Chris has the audacity to call me Saturday morning and says looks like we missed you yesterday, lets talk prices! Not sure if it was because I was a woman alone, or if they really believed I was an idiot who didn’t know how to shop for a vehicle. Regardless, I am extremely disappointed they would be rude and provide such poor customer service. I went on BBB to check for complaints and found they have 8 cases which is not surprising at all. I decided to go to Gunn Honda where my experience was 100% better and no one treated me like I was an idiot! Please do not buy from these rude people!!

So I started looking for a Honda Ridgeline RTL a few months ago and when I went to the dealership it had extra accessories that drove up the price. I was told by the sales associate that they were coming from Honda like that, they also said that it was a requirement for the protection package to be added. FastfFast to today I was messaged by a sales associate who sent me a picture of the RTL that I wanted .no accessories when I got there I was told its not ready that they were adding the accessories that was ordered to be added by the general manager simply to increase the price I would have to pay .Ive been in sales for over 15 years this is by far the worst experience . Website says to enter my information for a special price quote. Got the same quote thats listed online. Tried on numerous occasions to get clarification on this, but no explanation as to why it says to enter my email for special quotes and then started getting emails about test driving instead of what was advertised. My parents went in to test drive vehicles but I could never get any type of answer from them about special quotes online. Just a way to get your email which I realize is common except it specially stated to enter my email regarding to get special quotes. I was told that my best leverage is to go in because their manager gets excited when he sees people in the showroom. I had already told them I lived out of town.

Do not buy a used vehicle from this dealership! My husband purchased a used car for me from here less than 3 months ago. It was advertised to be in good condition and only had about 55k miles. Come to find out it’s actually in very bad condition and cost me two thousand dollars to repair out of pocket at another dealership that knows what they are doing. I haven’t even had the chance to enjoy my vehicle because it’s only been 3 months and had been in their service department 6 times during those 3 months. Now that I am trying to speak to a manager about what is going on and how I feel they needed to make this right considering I’m not made of money, we’re currently in a global pandemic costing many people their jobs and we were blatantly sold a lemon vehicle! We are given the run around and ignored! Take this as a lesson to always have the vehicle inspected before buying even though you think your purchasing a vehicle from what is supposed to be a reputable dealership. I probably would’ve been better off buying a car from a corner lot with the experience I’ve had with Hill Country Honda 👎🏽

Wow! What amazing service I received from Courtney and John! My car overheated on the way to Honda yesterday. I called Courtney and she explained their night drop procedure to me because they were closing. I had my car towed to Honda. She called me first thing in the morning to let me know they found my car and they would begin the repairs. She kept me updated throughout the entire process. She also sent me pictures of the damages and explained what needed to be repaired. When I arrived I was able to speak to John the Master Mechanic that serviced my car. John was very thorough in explaining his findings to me. Thank you John for finding the issue and repairing it! I am so appreciative to find a nice dealership when I was just here visiting my best friend for her birthday. Thanks for your care and concern. Courtney and John for the WIN! Was in the market for a Civic Hatch Sport 6 Speed Manual and saw that Hill Country Honda had one in the inventory on Autotrader and verified this on their website by VIN lookup. Sent an e-mail through Autotrader to inquire if the particular vehicle was still available. Even included the VIN for good measure. Received an e-mail informing me that the vehicle was still available. I live in Devine 45 minutes outside of San Antonio so I made an appointment to speak numbers with a salesman. Made the 45 minute drive to be informed that the vehicle had sold the previous night even though I was informed it was still available that morning. Very upset I used up an hour and a half of my time for a dealer to try and perform the old bait and switch on me.Edit: No resolution after speaking with the Sales manager Philip. Best they could offer to wasting my time is to hold a vehicle for 24 hours.

Hands down, the BEST experience EVER buying a car from a dealer. These guys are honest, fair, and will treat you with the utmost respect as a customer! Jose B, Bryan Zea, and Anderson made this whole experience enjoyable and painless. I never received the survey for my experience and its not in my Spam mail, but I had to do this review. Cody was so helpful and professional. As we are still in the Covid epidemic, I was not driving my car too much so my battery ended up dying. There was a lot I had going on that day and trying to figure it all out in addition to my daily norms seemed overwhelming.However, after speaking to Cody and coming up with the best plan for getting my car there, I felt a lot better. Cody kept me informed on all that was going on with my car, he pinpointed the problems and listened to all my concerns. The best thing of all was Cody was really kind and I felt as if I was talking to a friend who really wanted to make sure I was taken care of. This is so rare these days. I didnt feel rushed even when I may have rambled on about my concerns, he just listened.The next day, he arranged to have me picked up so I can get my vehicle. He even patiently walked me through how to keep my auto lights on my vehicle when I thought they were not working. This lets me know it wasnt about getting my money and getting me out of there.Overall, I would say the customer service here, has met all my needs so far. I used to travel further out to another dealership and I admit I was skeptical about coming to Hill Country simply because its hard to find great customer service and I am one to bypass closer establishments and travel a greater distance for that. I refuse to make a rude man richer. Thankfully, Cody has given me reason to keep returning here which is a shorter distance for me as well.I encourage who reads this that is in charge at Hill Country that its so important to treat your employees well, it reflects in their service to us. Every customer you miss or who takes their business elsewhere creates a hole in your pockets. I spent two hours on Wednesday looking at a vehicle with salesman Eric Trevino. I made the decision to purchase the vehicle and offered to put a deposit down. Eric said there was no need to put a deposit down. When they got the paperwork together there was an additional $1800 fee. I went back and forth with manager Sean Sereno about the fee which included things like nitrogen tires and other things I did not want. We finally agreed on the final deal and everything was set. I communicated with Eric multiple times on Thursday letting him know my financing was in place and my wife would be home on Friday for us to sign the paperwork and get the vehicle. He agreed to that plan. On Friday Eric sent a text to my wife confirming our appointment time to get the vehicle. She confirmed our appointment with him. He replied and said “Great, see you then!” The weather was bad and traffic was horrible so we called to see if we could complete the financing over the phone and pick up later. Eric said we couldn’t do it over the phone so we went ahead and sat in massive traffic jams to get over there. When we got there we were told the vehicle had been sold to another person. We spoke with salesman Eric Trevino and the same manager Sean Sereno. Eric blamed it on Sean and Sean blamed it on Eric. They even said “Well, you didn’t put a deposit down.” I said I tried to put a deposit down on Wednesday! We were offered half-hearted apologies and no offer to make this right. This was an extreme waste of our time. I do not recommend Hill Country Honda at all! I will be reaching out to the general manager Reuben Flores on Monday about this! It was highly unprofessional! Avoid this dealership! I wish I could give this place zero stars!!!

Today, I bought my very first brand new 2020 Honda Civic Coupe with Chris Gutierrez at the age of 21! This was the biggest investment I’ve ever made and I can genuinely say I am so happy with my experience at Hill Country Honda with Chris. I’ve been going to this place for a about two years for any maintenance needed on our vehicles. I’ve had a suspicion that my fluids weren’t being properly checked for about the last two oil changes and multi-point inspections, and this last one confirmed it. My windshield washer spray was out, and I went in for my routine oil change and inspection. The first thing I checked before pulling out was the washer fluid….it was still bone dry despite being shown as “checked and filled”. Now I question what else might have not been checked or serviced. Service is either slacking or a scam is going on.

The first time dealing with Hill Country Honda was great, which was June of last year, but not at the end of the process. It started out great because they got me a 2019 Civic LX with 8.9k miles for a really good deal at $375 a month. Enrique was really knowledgeable, incredibly kind and demonstrated great customer service and patience when I had to deal with a potential co-signer. Hector was the man who dealt with the contract and walked me through the paperwork and he was great and got me a great rate at Credit Human, and I signed the paperwork and drove home in my great new car.At the time of signing, I was having my totaled car being dealt with by my previous lender, and he told me to send him the correspondence and everything once it was dealt with. So we went back and forth over the month updating him on the situation since the lender was being slow and when I went on to my Credit Human account and for some reason, my car loan wasn’t there. After calling Credit Human’s customer service, they told me the account didn’t exist at all. I asked Hector about this and he told me that the account was pending and as a stipulation to the loan, the previous account had to be dealt with and told me it wouldn’t go through until then, which he never disclosed to me at all in the process of signing the paperwork. During the time, I was really scared my car was going to get repoed because I had no idea what was going on, while waiting for my previous lender to deal with it, and the dealership made a hard inquiry without my permission. About a month later, Hector’s boss calls me saying that we need to find a new lender for the car because my previous lender was taking so long processing the car account, and that despite having the car for two months, they hadn’t received the money from the car from Credit Human because of the unstated stipulation I talked about previously. So during this entire process I had to submit even more paperwork to the dealership in order for them to find a new lender and they got me with SSFCU, and so when I went back to sign the paperwork, I figured the APR would be a little higher, and I expected the payment to be about a $20-$30 higher. I went back and the payment was $451 and they decided to tack on prepaid maintenance that I didn’t want, but I didn’t protest because I had already put a few thousand miles on it from travelling, and I felt I had to sign it. After doing some research, this is what’s called “yo-yo financing” where the dealer lets you drive off the lot without the financing actually properly going through forcing the customer to come back and get new financing at a higher rate. Now it may have not been intentional yo-yo financing, but it’s still against the law and completely unethical and unfortunately didn’t find this out until way later because I was an uneducated buyer at the time.I will give this dealership credit, they have incredible customer service and everyone is incredibly friendly and nice, and they were especially helpful in getting my warranty and prepaid maintenance cancelled on my Civic when it was totaled, but I was glad to have bought my Camry from someone other than them. I was only willing to give them a second chance because I didn’t realize what yo-yo financing was and that it was illegal, and that I really wanted the truck too. Honestly, this dealership needs to have a massive top down re-do of how they do business because it’s shady, completely against customer interest, and all around unethical. So take it from my experiences. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

We went and did a trade in. We dealt with Virginia Church was was amazing. She was friendly and, and upfront about everything through the whole process. We got there pretty late and stayed way past closing and had a one and a half year old toddler with us. Virginia was very friendly with her snd understandable with us and her needs. We dealt with Pete during the papear signing process he was also very friendly and easy to deal with. The only reason this place is getting two stars is because of the package they add in with nitrogen in the tires, Kahu, and some other stuff we didn’t even want. We asked to have it removed and we were told we couldn’t because the owner makes it standard on all cars, we told them that we didn’t want the vehicle with it on and they offered to take 1,000 off the vehicle but we still paid for more than half on that package. They said the owner was aware of potentially losing customers but pretty much didn’t care. We’ve dealt with other Honda dealers where the package could be removed. I was going to give one stars but Virginia and Pete saved them on that.

I took my wife to look for a new car since her car was having some issues. Since we walked through the door we were greeted by very friendly staff that promptly referred us to Rafael to take care of us. Rafael was beyond AWESOME. He was very mindful of our budget and my wife’s wishes. He was very patient with us and showed plenty of options to choose from. My mother in law was also with us and she speaks mostly Spanish and since Rafael is bilingual he was able to make her feel included at all times. He went above and beyond by taking extra time to explain things in Spanish as well, so my mother in law would know about all the functions of each car we were looking at. We were all so impressed with him since he told us it was his first month at this dealership. My wife ended up choosing a beautiful 2019 Honda Accord. One of the reasons she didn’t want to go by herself to a dealership was because she felt like she would be pressured to buy something (which is a very common thing that you experience at other places). Rafael made her feel so comfortable with the buying process, she never felt rushed or pressured into having to buy anything. Incompetent management prevents a double sale!UPDATE: The vehicle I described below is still listed on their website. It was listed last weekend. I was on there Monday and today is Thursday. You can decide whether this was an honest mistake or a bait and switch attempt.I had a bit of interest in trading my wonderful ’17 Ridgeline RTL-E for a similar ’21 model.I saw one with the colors I liked on Hill Country Honda’s website (San Antonio, TX) and gave them a call. I spoke with a wonderful young lady who took several minutes to confirm with sales management that the vehicle was “real” and had arrived on-site. I told her I would come down after lunch and asked her to give me a call if the vehicle sold before I got there.On arrival, she met me and then sent me on to another salesman to look at the truck. The salesman went to get the keys and was gone for quite some time. When he returned, he told me that it looked like the truck was from a dealer trade and that it hadn’t arrived. I explained that I had been told that it was confirmed to be on-site and sent him back to re-check.A few minutes later he came back with the Sales Manager in-tow. At first the manager wasn’t sure what vehicle we were discussing and then told me rather nonchalantly that the car was supposed to be from a dealer trade, but it never showed up.Yep, folks. This vehicle had been on their website for at least a couple of days. It hadn’t been sold, it was never theirs to sell in the first place! They advertised it, but never had it and never would. They told me that it was in stock, but it wasn’t. I traveled more than an hour (each way) for absolutely no reason.The manager was very matter of fact that they didn’t have the vehicle. He never seemed the least apologetic and never admitted their mistake. It seemed that it was my fault for wanting a vehicle that they advertised, but never had. He did, of course, suggest that they had other vehicles that I might like….Had he sincerely apologized, maybe even offered me a Honda hat or a tank of gas for my 2 hours of driving, I wouldn’t be happy, but I might have understood. Evidently customers are an expendable commodity at this dealership.Had it gone well, they could have sold me the new truck and had a ’17 in great condition to flip and sell.At best these people are incompetent in managing the few cars that they have in their inventory. At worst, they knew that they didn’t have the truck and were baiting me to get me into the dealership so they could switch me to another vehicle. In any case I won’t ever be back and suggest that others use caution in any dealings with them.My apologies to anyone who may have been within earshot, when their sales prevention team told me that they didn’t have the truck.

Claimed that price would not be the reason we couldnt come to a deal and after 2.5 hours it was the only reason. They tried every trick to inflate the price. Making the base price include the addendum and then having the addendum listed again for a third more than what it showed on the addendum monroney sheet. The addendum was $2,200 for over price items that is overvalued ~280%. Wanted to charge covid price on SUV but wanted pre-covid-19 trade-in valve. They also refuse to talk price until they get you to fill out their finance application. Basic card dealer tricks. Would have paid $13,000 more if I accepted the outrageous first offer compared to last offer before I left needed another $2,000 in total off the addendum monroney sheet or added to trade-in value to make the deal worth it. Had trade-in value in hand and still would not match it or come close.

Reached out for a appraisal for my Silverado and to look at some pre-owned CRVs that were shown on the website. We came in and were juggled between three different people, not the person I had an appointment with. Nobody knew what was already discussed over text or what was submitted online, just felt like the online form was a waste of my time.I eventually got to test drive a CRV that seemed sketchy at best (sales rep wasnt even able to tell me if it had bluetooth or not, only that it had and aux port even though my cell phone doesnt have an audio jack.....). The sales rep was bent on selling me that car, and even though the site had several options with similar mileage and price points, it was the only one available. Discussing options, they wouldnt appraise my truck until I agreed to a credit check, wouldnt talk numbers at all until then even though the people I talked to over text said the process would be very different. Just through the conversations it was apparent that they were going to check my credit and tailor an offer for my truck based on that to minimalize what they gave for trade in and max out what the car would cost. Sales rep was talking down my trade from the very beginning.The entire process was very off putting and threw me off the dealership. Didnt feel like I was being listened to, they were set to do things in a way that only benefitted their bottom line. We decided to leave for the evening and found a vehicle elsewhere. Much better experience somewhere else.

OVERALLWe purchased a vehicle from here this week, and are very happy with the vehicle. We knew what we wanted, so we followed the vehicle after finding it online posted by Hill Country Honda.COMPLAINTSMy primary complaint is that the vehicle was listed for a specific price online, and when we arrived, there was an additional ~$2k of dealer added options to the price. My irritation stems from the fact it was posted online at this price, then only available to purchase with the options that were not options at all because they were already completed to the vehicle. This is not an option- this effectively makes it a mandatory add on if you want the vehicle. I requested that these options be removed, but since they were treatments already done to the vehicle this was not possible. They advised this is standard on their vehicles, but is not something I was interested in as a consumer for the added cost.I find this to be rather unethical as when a consumer finds a price online, they should be able to walk into a dealership and pay that price minus standard taxes, title and fees. Ultimately, we accepted this additional mandatory yet sold as an option cost because we wanted the vehicle.Because of this (ethical issue), I would never purchase from Hill Country Honda again, even though I did have a great experience with Virginia Church, the person who assisted us.Be aware that there are additional costs added (Kahu vehicle tracking) and they will charge you to remove the tracking device if this is not something you want on your vehicle. As someone who values privacy, I do not want a third party tracking my vehicle location, driving patterns, etc.. and have to pay for an additional subscription service. This may be a selling point for some consumers, as it does offer anti-theft security and peace of mind, however, I pay for insurance for peace of mind and therefore is not attractive to me as a consumer.SERVICEVirginia Church was fantastic to work with. She let us test drive the vehicle hassle free, did not rush or pressure us. Highly recommend Virginia, as she was very kind and responsive. We told her we were in a rush to pick the kids up from daycare, and she ensured we were able to purchase the car very rapidly once we made a decision.ATMOSPHEREClean, nice and as anticipated upon arrival. Coffee was empty when we were there, but otherwise no issues.FINANCEWe paid for our vehicle, and I wanted to use a credit card for the entire purchase. I was advised there is a limit, and the finance representative said that it was because of the banks - however, lets be honest. It is a dealer policy. They do not want to pay fees on large credit purchases, and they would rather have people finance Im sure. My bank had no issues authorizing the full amount. In the end, I used a debit card for the remainder they did not allow me to put on a card. Otherwise, this part of the process went smooth.OVERALLI am happy with our vehicle, and was happy working with Virginia. I was unhappy with things that were clearly beyond the control of Virginia (dealership policies, unethical online posting). If you are aware and accept these policies (and perhaps, find them attractive them depending on the type of consumer you are) then I would recommend this dealership. Sincerest thanks again to Virginia for helping us.

I flew to San Antonio and purchased a vehicle out of state on a cash deal. Dealership has refused to release title to me, refused to correct sales contract showing that vehicle is paid in full with no amount to be financed and no lien holder, and has refused to refund the out of state sales tax they illegally collected. I have been treated with nothing but disrespect by the finance department while attempting to get their errors corrected.

My wife & I recently purchased a new Honda Civic from Hill Country Honda, and I can honestly say we were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The salesmen were ready to pounce upon our initial arrival, but they were all professional and polite. We ended up working with Ray, who was very straightforward and actually listened to us regarding our needs. Once we found the vehicle we wanted, the negotiations were relatively straightforward, and the price we ultimately paid was fair. There was no heavy pressure in regard to financing or extended warranties. Our only negative experience was in regard to the Hill Country Honda Advantage Package, which is apparently a mandatory option package that, in my humble opinion, should be included free of charge with your purchase. Regardless, even after the HCH Advantage Package, we still paid a fair price well below MSRP, so its really just a play on words and/or numbers. If we happen to be in the market for another vehicle, well be sure to return to Hill Country Honda. Thanks !

Great service all around! I took my pilot in for routine service and asked to have a trade in value done. The guys in the service department (including Cody) were able to get me into a 2020 pilot loaner to knock out the test drive. 2 days later I was in the dealership purchasing a new pilot. Jose and Andre worked with me on getting the best deal I could for my trade in and Hector was quick on getting the paperwork done. Everyone was easy to talk to and there was no pressure. The service guys even stopped by and asked how i was doing with the loaner and new purchase. There is no other Honda dealership I would go to! 100% great service!

They were advertising a free check engine light diagnosis. When I got there with my Isuzu Rodeo they told be that was only for Honda cars. After explaining (which I should not have had to) that the Isuzu Rodeo is the exact same car as the Honda Passport they took it in. They had the car there all day and I finally called for status and Im told there were codes, but there is nothing wrong with the car, maybe a short. So after taking them for their word, I continued to drive ignoring the light until recently the car hesitated to go. So I took it to Bauman Auto Repair where they told me the EVAP Vent valve wasnt functioning and the Engine Vale Cover was leaking which they repair and resolved the check engine light. I dont believe Hill Country even looked at my vehicle and if the did, they dont know what they are doing... either way thats bad business.

Great experience! I called and set an appointment with Megan to view a car I saw online, when I arrived I was greeted immediately by a member and the receptionist quickly got Megan to meet me at the entrance. Talking with Megan felt like a normal conversation and not “Salesy” at all. Her and her supervisor were so welcoming and really made me feel like they wanted to help me find the perfect car to match my needs. Literally everyone I interacted with was so nice!! Even the Loan Officer Hector was a joy to work with. Wearing mask and interacting can be tough due to not being able to see people smile and normal facial gestures but I could still see and feel the one on one personal interaction with everyone. I had amazing experience with the team at Hill Country Honda! Since 2011 I had been purchasing my Honda vehicles from a dealership and Salesman in my hometown. When trying to trade in this last time I was not given the same customer service that I was used to and they were trying to force me into a vehicle I did not want.
