Great location and nice variety of merchandise at this location.The employees were very helpful and offered their assistance if needed.Also the store is clean and well maintained.

I was completely ignored until it was obvious I wasn’t leaving…toxic and suppressive environment.

This is an Orvis store. The staff were really nice and they sale high quality Fly fishing goods, clothes and gifts. I am glad they are in town again. Fly fisherman love the eye candy goods to look at and buy.

Really helpful staff. Ive lost a lot of weight and two of the ladies waited on me hand and foot assuring me I could try on as much as I wanted with them refolding and restocking items I had decided against. I spent a lot here but didnt mind it with all the personal attention I received on quality made clothes I know will last for years.

Was not greeted by any of the white staff. Walked right in front of a staff member and was not asked if I needed help. They have catalogs in front of the store which is probably how they prefer minorities to shop anyway (on-line). I will not be returning.

Finally went shopping today ..since March. A wonderful experience at this Orvis store n San Antonio. Recently remodeled I believe.A 5 star experience.

I was so thrilled an Orvis has finally opened that is closer to me, Im from South Texas. I used to shop at The Woodlands location, very nice there. I was so excited to see the Manager Donna is at this location now. She is always so smiley and patient with helping my husband and myself with sizes and such.We love picking out what we need (and dont need) to gear up so we can Enjoy! our time on the water. I loved my visit to Orvis San Antonio! Ive been to the Dallas location and can honestly say that this one is my favorite . When I walked into the door, I was greeted by Ben and he helped me find everything that I needed while being super nice and attentive . While I was trying on some of the new womens clothing, Donna was able to provide a lot of info on the products and she was really fun to talk to . Truly enjoyed my experience here-- would recommend anyone to walk in and purchase high quality products for a reasonable price!!!!!

I’m new to fly fishing. Have visited the store a number of times, they have always been very helpful. They have taken the time to answer my questions and give advise. Just stopped in for a few flies before a morning trip the next day. The associate helped with some suggestions on patterns, and he was right on point! Will always come back whenever I need anything!

Orvis San Antonio is a great place. Its clean and has a very helpful staff. The fishing manager an lead are knowledgeable in their passion and has a good mix of fresh water and salt water fly fishing. The clothing staff is friendly and helpful. Orvis SATx has a pet friendly policy and even offers pet treats. Its a great place to check out if you are interested in getting in to fly fishing as well as they offer classes for both casting and tying flies.

New to the brand and love the quality of the product, however, I was disappointed at this particular franchise. Today when cashing out the couple next to me presented the same coupon for 25 dollars off and while they were honored the coupon on a sale item my wife and I were not.From now on I will use this franchise to look for items and how they feel and fit but will buy online. I receive way more saving coupons to buy online and there is no human discretion on whether my coupon is honored or not.

Love this store! I’ve spent countless hours wandering the fly shop. Their selection is well versed in freshwater and salt water. Sam and Ben have always been able to answer any questions I might have.

I came in the store (which is beautiful!) and did quite a bit of shopping for Christmas. Later that day I received an email with discounts that would have applied to my purchases but I did not know at the time of purchase. I called the store and they said just bring in my receipts and they would adjust the balance and apply the discount. I went by around 7pm, at the end of a busy Saturday, and Sheri worked for about 30 minutes, to maximize the discounts I could take advantage of. The total was $125 in savings! I was very appreciative of the time she took to figure out how to best return my previous purchase, purchase back enough items to take advantage of the discount, and do this for a second purchase/discount as well. She never made me feel she was frustrated with this somewhat complicated request and did a great job! The gifts I purchases Im sure will be a big hit and I was thrilled to be able to save a significant amount! Ill be back to shop there again!

Orvis is s big name in fly fishing. Being new to the sport, Landon, Sam, and Ben have been amazing. They have assisted me from learning how to cast, fly tying, and buying equipment. If your looking to get into fly fishing, this is the place to go. Take their classes and you are on your way. Can’t say enough about them.

Beautiful time pieces! The showroom is gorgeous! These watch s are amazing and true pieces of art and engineering combined. Premium products cost premium prices. That said, Orvis are well worth the cost.

I was greeted when I came in the door. The store was very organized and I was able to find the right sizes for my sons jeans. The friendly staff helped him find comfortable shorts and soft t-shirts. I love that they post upcoming trips like the one to New Mexico next year.

Glad to have an Orvis in San Antonio. Quality outdoor-oriented clothing, travel gear and fly fishing equipment. Plus, they have cool stuff for bigger dogs. Like the store but disappointed in staff. I wasnt greeted when I came in the store. A lot of the workers hung around the main counter chatting among themselves. The fishing guy was busy texting somebody and didnt say boo. One lady folding clothes finally acknowledged me but really didnt come across as friendly. Definitely a different experience from the Austin store and not up to the Orvis brand standard.I will go back cause I like Orvis products but hope corporate gives this store some training to give customers the experience expected from the Orvis brand and the prices they charge for their products. The Tackle Box isnt that far away from Orvis and sell equal products, plus the staff is always friendly to me and asks if you need assistance. Sometimes you do! BTW, this is my first online review Ive ever bothered to post.Update: Since posting this review, I’ve noticed a definite improvement with demeanor and customer service at this store. In particular, Landon and Ben are very helpful and customer focused. I would say I’ve become a regular customer and will continue doing business with them for my clothing and fly fishing needs.

Loved the store, first time ever going. Staff was very friendly and so helpful. Bought several flies and will be going there for more in the near future. Lots of clothes that I cant even afford. Rods cost is pretty high for me, the average person.

This was our first time in the San Antonio Orvis store. We were not greeted when we came in the store or when we left. It was like we were invisible. The three staff on the floor were all busy doing something and did not attempt to engage with us. My wife had to ask to be helped. My wife and I were the only customers in the store! We are regulars in Orvis stores but will shop in other locations in the future.

Great products and staff. Very helpful but not pushy. I normally avoid email lists but couldnt help myself and have gotten some great deals via online sales and been pulled back in to fly fishing with a trip to the Guadalupe. Cheers to Landon.

Went for a dog bed. They didnt carry all of the beds in the store so I had to order one online. Customer service was great and they were very helpful in helping me selection the right bed.

It is true Orvis is not a mega store, still I was impressed with their selections, especially their boots. And; I went there to look at coats/jackets, maybe it is too early still something that is needed. The staffs friendly and genuine greetings are infectious -cant help but to smile. Lastly their clothing line has items I would not only wear though willing to go back and purchase.

Free flying fishing class taught us basics about casting and rigging. Well worth the early start.

If you love the outdoors you will love this store. They have high quality clothes and products for your outdoor and indoor life.

Great store great staff

Overpriced, but thats what one should expect from an Orvis shop in a non-fly fishing area. All of their goods can be found on Amazon for much much cheaper.I visited for advice on flys to use in our area and for a rod repair recommendation. The resident expert was in the bathroom for 15 minutes and then left to run a personal errand before I got to speak to him. It was a pretty unhelpful trip altogether. Good thing the younger store clerk was knowledgeable about the area or itd be a 2 star review. Never did get that rod repair recommendation though...

Angry manager.Refused a return within 2 weeks its a 30 day return policy. I ask for corporate number she then changed her mind. And gave me exchange for correct size. Attiude first time customer. I spent $300.00 Guess they dont need the business.
