It was a great experience.Anytime you can find what youre looking for and get out in 30 minutes under 100 bucks with tax included. That makes the 4 other places that didnt have it look sad.

Needed a hard to find brake line adaptor. Spent considerable amount of time helping me. Then went above and beyond and made a custom fitting. Couldnt be happier with the staff and product. 100% recommend this company!!!

Great Experience! They work by first come first serve but they are mighty quick. I had no A/C in my Honda Accent and they were able to fix it for $135 in 3 hours. And it only took so long because they had 20 cars ahead of me! They work on most cars and they answer EVERY phone call. The mechanic is straight forward and only $40 to diagnose but if you fix your vehicle with them, that fee is waived. This is my new mechanic!!!!! LOVED!

They were great! They have parts in stock other stores like AutoZone and OReilly dont have in stock.I needed a part that very same day, AutoZone in OReilly needed to order the part in and it would arrive 1-3 days. This place had it in stock, bought it, had my car fixed that very same day!

I read all the positive reviews about auto ac repair and decided to go down and get my ac repaired.I was extremely disappointed to find out they NO longer do ac repair. I wish they posted something on their website letting customers know they no longer do repairs. The place looks like an auto parts place.Very disappointed with this company.

Auto Air And Axle in San Antonio is professional, helpful, and have excellent service. My repairs have never taken more than a couple of days.I brought in my vehicle a second time to them with brake problems and air conditioning cooling issues that had been worked on last year, but were no longer under their 1 year warranty.Fortunately for me, they went the extra mile, and covered it under warranty even though it was two months past. They found the issues and repaired them for a nominal fee.They made me feel like I was a valued customer, and went that extra bit out of their way to keep me happy. I will definitely be coming back in the future, I feel like this is one shop that deserves my continued business.Special thanks to Maria for helping us out, keeping us up to date, and staying late to wait for me to pick up my car!

Great prices. Did a diagnostic at Honda, then i called all the local dealers in the area. And Auto Air Axle had by far the lowest price for labor and parts.

Not the best service. Lady at counter thinks she knows everything because she works there but knows very little. They act like they are the only company in San Antonio to get parts from. Their new place is horrible and inconvenient.

Great customer service. I got two quotes for auto repair and this place came in $300 less than the other shop and did the job in less than a day. I was very happy with the service and the warranty they provide.

Took my car there to get fix, the fans were not working causing the car to overheat. They were able to diagnose the problem within the hour I was there. Turns out it was an electrical problem. Unfortunately, they do not do any electrical work, but were able to recommend me someone. Im giving them a five star rating because they did not charge me for the diagnose, any other place would have charged. Thank you Gary!

Very helpful. They offered to check my refrigerant levels in my A/C for free to troubleshoot and build me an estimate. Gave me some worst case scenario numbers, came back and had them look at it a few days later. They only needed to do half the job and cut my bill down by 30%. Im impressed.

Axle shop diagnosed my car wrong and didnt even fix anything near what I was complaining about and took my $400! The issue remained exactly the same. I wont suggest this place at all!

These guys are prompt, efficient and honest. Checked out Auto Air & Axle as an alternative to paying high repair prices at dealerships and independents that think they can charge dealer prices. Although I am particular about leaving my vehicles in the care of dealership factory-trained mechanics, they seem less happy to see the vehicles as they age. I was preparing an older keepsake automobile for sale to free up garage space and detected a loose upper ball joint. As a matter of conscience, I was willing to pay to replace the upper and lower ball joints, which is the rote response to a single worn ball joint. George at Auto Air & Axle, unaware of my circumstance, called back to tell me close inspection revealed the lower ball joints are in perfect condition, adding the shop would replace them if I still wanted to incur unnecessary expense that would have no effect on the operating condition of the vehicle. Wow, how often does one receive advice like that from an auto repair shop? Auto Air & Axle has me reassessing my preference for dealership factory-trained mechanics.

Drove over 30 miles to come see them as soon as I walk in a fat guy on his phone just tells me to leave my brake hoses (that I wanted customized), on the table cause he cant help me, and the person that can is gone. I try to ask if he has have a certain fitting I need for my project and he just shrugs his shoulders and tells me to come back another time, no sorry or nothing just him staring at his phone unwilling to help. expected more from this place

Came in for what I thought was a rattling wheel bearing and then they couldnt even fix til Monday day and when I went to another small shop they said the wheel bearings were fine and it was just a loose cap to my rim, these ppl are dishonest double their diagnosis cause all they want is your money Ill recommend to anyonw. Stay away!!!!!

Quickly and reasonably repaired a CV boot on my Audi/VW axle. Would definitely recommend for axle repairs in or near San Antonio.

Seems like a honest place to get work done on your car. We went there for a a/c problem. When the car is first turned on and the a/c or defroster is turned on there is a loud screeching. We had the car checked out there, they said it could be the a/c fluids were not correct. Cost about 92$ to fix, so okay we went next store to wait about 15 mins later we get a call from the repair shop letting us know that they had a better look and that its most likely the a/c belt and best to change that out and most likely fix the problem. Cost 65$ we said OK sure if thats best. What do you know, it fixed it and cost less to do so. Will come back again.

The quality of service seems to be going down and all the parts that I have purchased are made in China but that seems to be comin everywhere nowadays. Prices are competitive.

Took my truck there to get the air conditioning fixed after a dealer and another garage failed to come up with it must have a leak only to have them charge me for a purge and charge, and still not fix it. Not only did Auto Air and Axle find the problem right away (dropped it off in the AM before work, they called in the afternoon with their diagnosis, and I picked it up the next day after work.)It cost less then their initial estimate. Ohh and the counter dude (shortish guy with glasses) was friendly and up front about possible additional charges that might happen based on my descripion of what the problem might be. I recommend this place.

As for me no customer service or courtesy.The two f... tards that were there Nov 10 at 1130 are incredibly disrespectful.I ordered yesterday, told that it would be there today. I called today to make sure they have the part, just to make sure they do before I make the trek to their facility. Mike said they do. I get there, its not with the UPS orders they received. Ok, well do me a solid and find out whats happening or when it would be there. They proceeded to take calls and orders and answer questions of others. I just stand there for 30 minutes, thirty minutes.I see that they got good reviews from others but damn man all they needed to do was say hey we can call you when we get it figured out. I stood right in front of them the whole time, while they help everyone else. Its rude, at least to me. Ill take my money to the box store, AutoZone OReilly etc.

Took in my Altima for cv axles replacement very satisfied with customer service and may I add very fast service didnt even take an hour very pleased with this place I will definitely be coming back thank you auto air and axle.

Never was able to recieve the service, but went in for an A/C diagnosis, fast service, told me what was wrong within 30 minutes and gave options for repair... had ordered a part to be delivered tuesday, & put a deposit down for the part and work. Came in that following friday and turns out the part was too large and would not work. Was offered to have them run to their supplier for the correct part free of charge . Declined the offer and was refunded my deposit no problems or questions asked...again didnt recieve service but these guys are honest and Id visit again for future problems.

I took my nightmare of a lifted truck (only one I have ever had and ever will have) in for breaks and was frustrated and ripped off from other repairs at other places in san antonio. This place is on the the other side of town for me, but I decided to go with them because of the good reviews. I needed my suspension changed on my car and I liked that they would do the work using my own parts. Of all the places I called, they quoted me the best price (on two different occasions, but i wasnt able to go the first time). I finally had a ride to leave my vehicle. A few hours into the job, I get a phone call saying that I needed a rear mounting brackets for my shocks. Ok, I wasnt told about this either time I called, but I suppose that is something one would find out after examining the car. The additional $60 didnt upset me as much as being told that it would also be an extra hour of labor. Talk about a bait & switch. After expressing my displeasure, I was put in a situation where I couldnt exactly tell them to cancel the job since it was already 1/2 done. They tried to make things square by offering my 10% off the labor, which was kind of dumb because it was basically the coupon that is available on this webpage (which I intended to use anyways). He dropped the price an additional $10, but considering I paid $150 more than I initially expected, it was not good enough in my opinion. Im not sure what this business is guilty of: offering a low quote to entice customers only to pull a bait & switch or lacking the competence to make accurate quotes based of the paramters of the job. I was considering getting some a/c work done, but not after this experience I dont plan on finding out. I will be looking elsewhere.
