I love this location. It always has a really good selection of books and is so clean. I have been to other HPB location, but this is my favorite one. In my humble opinion they have the best book selections and a great layout.

I had a $30 gift card. I went in 20 mins before closing. (A retail sin, I know. Forgive me!) The staff were still super welcoming and friendly despite my horrible customer manners. Selection was so good I spent my whole gift card with time to spare and have to go back later this week for another round. Also besides my literature purchases, my husband bought me this super cute pencil pouch, which I am now in love with. Happy days!

Now this is the place if your a Book Worm.They have all kinds of books and record albums to choose from. Even Cds and Movies. I came to look for a low carb cookbook and ended up buying two because their prices are so low.

What can I say, I have found pretty much everything here.

My son was able to get two books. He asked a worker for aomerhing cool to read and she was able to find something that he enjoyed. Great customer service! I will be back.

Its nice and cool inside.. the workers are very helpful.. they have a tremendous variety of old and new books! Some books are still in their plastic cover, yet sold as brand new for half price!

I always love the selection of books, vinyl, CDs, DVDs etc. I also LOVE that they have a bunch of different people that work there. Definitely diverse! My fiancé & I love coming here. He loves looking through the selection of vinyl especially. We have gotten a bunch of GREAT vinyl here!

Great selection of books, clearance books, childrens books, cds, vinyl, blu rays and video games. Friendly staff.

They didnt have any death metal, deathcore, or dance music AT ALL on CD or cassette. They did have some classical music, but no opera or folk. Lots of pop and Tejano, but no reggaetón. No action figures, but they do sell Funko Pops. They had video games and some video game memorabilia, but their Mario and Pokemon games were scarce and they dont carry VGM on CD or cassette. Not a good selection of science fiction novels here either. They had a lot of LGBTQ+ fiction, but not really a good selection of nonfiction books about the queer experience. What kind of bookstore are you if you dont want to cater to diverse tastes?

They get 2 stars because I was visiting Half Price books and noticed that the employees were tossing books in the dumpster, and I thought that was an unethical thing to do! Then, as I approched closer and looked in the garbage the books they threw away had all the front covers torn off too. They appeared to be in perfect condition @nd books of all categories. Now, that is disturbing when some families cant even afford to buy books and libraries are in need of of stock for there shelves,. So, I may not know the reason why they do this, but I think donating books would be the right thing to do. What a shame!!

Great selection at discount prices. Books. Movies in all formats. Music from vinyl to CD. Comic books. Games. Collectibles. They buy all of the above as well - but don’t expect to get rich. Also, they hold you hostage while they process your books, which can take a long time. Wish you could drop them off and go visit the pub down the block!

The selection was much wider than I expected. There was a kids section with a broad assortment, from board style books for toddlers, up to stuff at the edge of young adult fiction. As a relative newcomer to the Lone Star state, I also enjoyed that there was a cookbook section devoted entirely to Texas cuisine. Looking forward to visiting frequently.

Great place to find educational books

My oldest daughter loves to read books and love to get them for her. Not only did we purchase some good books we sold some as well. I need this book that was recommended by one of the employees there!!

The heavy set white guy with the big bald spot in the back is very rude and disrespectful. I was targeted by him the moment I walked into the store due to the mask that I was wearing. He kept following me around the store. Then he told me I could go outside and they would help me only via curbside. Very rude and unprofessional. Will never return to this place. Id name him here but he refused to give his name. Based on the description provided shouldnt be very hard to figure out who he is. DISGUSTING.....Update his name is Kevin.

Great prices for buying not so good wen your selling stuff.

Limited selection and not much in the way of money when selling hard covered books. I understand theyre gonna sell a $65 book used for $10-15, but offering me $1.25 for it when its in near perfect condition is pretty insulting. Would rather just sell on Amazon, save the gas, time, and get far more than a measly $1.25.

I was on a hunt for a book by a famous author, where the nearest copy was many cities away, and cost me much 💰. Then I went to Half-Price Books, and not only did they have and help me find the book with a personal escort, the price was even less than half, with the quality of the book in exquisite quality at outstanding price. Will be returning very soon!

Friendly staff. I honestly go there 90%of the time for comic books. I love going thru their collection theres always something different. I just wish they didnt put the price/stickers on there comic books.

Half Price Books is a relic we should all treasure while it still exists. There are thousands of books at your pleasure all just waiting to be read as soon as you step through the doors. Dont like books? Thats okay, they have the cutest little electronic section with the most random throwbacks you can imagine! They have Vinyls, comics, dvds, blue rays, etc. It almost felt like I was walking into a small section of BlockBuster. It was beautiful and majestic. Hurry and go before its gone! Great store! Has many hard to find soft back and hard back covers. Even rare first prints autographed by authors. You never know what treasures you will find! You can also have books ordered and sent directly to your home or a loved ones house. Great for last minute gift ideas! All in all...wonderful!

Sold 68 magazines- some of them vogue in good condition, 28 books - some YA genre books that I know hardly ever go on clearance, 4 board games, and 7 puzzles- nearly all in good condition if used at all. $9.60 was the offer. Ive sold to half price before but this location gave me the lowest, most depressing offer for my things. I couldve sold just one of the board games for 10 dollars elsewhere but I was going for convenience. I feel little like I got conned...

I made a book-sell appointment a week and a half ago for Sunday, August 9 at 130pm. I said Id be taking two office-type cardboard boxes filled with books, I confirmed the date twice, and I marked it on my calendar.When I arrived, the White, senior-aged lady at the front counter said I didnt have an appointment and that there was no way I would have been given 130pm as an appointment time. The White woman in front of me in line, however, had no problem getting her appointment confirmed.Maybe Spanish names are just harder to find in that mess of post-it notes and scribbles they call a appointment calendar.What makes this situation so disheartening is that I was told right from the start, that there was no way my appointment could be valid. There was zero attempt to see what went wrong or if a mistake was made on their end.

I love buying books from here. They usually have a great selection of the subjects that I like to buy books for. Although selling to them is a whole other story. I took in at least 10 books to sell and was given $.75 for the whole lot. Which the books they kept to sell will probably be sold for at least $3.00 or more. An avid book reader such as I does not care about the look of the book as long as it is in tact and can still be read. I WILL NEVER SELL TO ANY HALF PRICED BOOK STORE AGAIN! Also I was not given any type of donation verification receipt to include for my taxes.

Im having to do a refund at the register before even leaving the store. Discs were at the register she didnt even inspect them. Wasting my time for no reason. Check your discs

Love this store! Im here at least once a week browsing through books. They have every category you can think of. History, cooking, business, spiritual, fiction, non-fiction, teens, mystery, comic books, self help, and much more. Its a great place to buy books for yourself, or as gifts for family and friends. My only suggestion to them would be to have more seating to encourage people to hang out longer.

They do not give very much for hard bound books. They say that book club editions of popular authors are not good sellers so they offer you virtually nothing. You are better off donating the books to a charity..

Every time i go there i will find what Im looking for or they will look it up and order it for me. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I will sometimes got all the stores and check and will end up with something i was looking for not looking for. I love half price books.

Great spot to dissociate and spend an unnecessary amount of money on cds and books.

Its a nicely kept store. My only concern is for this store to install better locks on their toilets. I had someone walk in on me whilst using the facilities and I know had I locked the latch because it was jammed into its slot. However the assembly wasnt secured or bolted in completely because the other customer was able to open it with ease.Other than this issue. The staff and store where wonderful..
