Great service! I was deciding between two different hybrid bikes and had no clue which one would be better for me. Dewey provided great information and took me for a ride to test out both bikes. Dewey and E.J. in the bike shop were a tremendous help! I came in needing a spoke and a refresher on bike maintenance and they took the time to answer all my questions and restore my confidence!My family and I are ready to get back on the road now! We most certainly will be coming back for our next tune up and to help pick out my daughter’s next bike!

They took my bike right away. Initially they told me it will be ready in two days but then they said it will take 10 to 15 minutes if I was willing to wait. They did it in no time and had my bike ready to go. Dewey was very friendly and helpful. He even did extra work on the bike at no extra charge.

4-5 employees in the store, neither of the men offered any assistance as they watched me walk around struggling looking for an item. Poor customer service here.

Bought my Cannondale Trail 5 online and had it shipped to this store before the Pandemic hit in April 2020.The staff is always welcoming and eager to assist. I bring in my bike to get it tuned from time and time and can’t help but say Dewey is the BEST! He is very friendly and knowledgeable about what needs fixed.Can’t beat the customer service at this location.

If youre gonna get a bike or equipment I recommend this place. They have very friendly workers that know what theyre doing. Whenever theres something wrong with my bike I take it to them and they take care of me. They also have bike sales I believe once a month outside the store.i recommend this place for your first bike.

Every time I go to Sun & Ski, the employees are so attentive and ready to help. They care that you get exactly what you’re looking for and have the knowledge and skills needed to get you set up with your skis/snowboard, bike, wakeboard, or even just some trendy new brand-name clothes! You don’t see customer service like theirs much anymore. Matt goes the extra mile assisting from the minute you walk in to ringing you up - all with a friendly smile and even cracking jokes! This place is great! Dewey helped me out with all my questions at the bike area and even installed some upgrades for my bike on the fly.

I actually had a weird request. I was taking apart old tires to build lamps from as a hobby. Dewey was kind enough to help me out for free! He also took the time to talk to me and educate me about the process. Fast forward a month or two and I needed some new riding gear... I took my business to this place. They certainly have earned my business!

Well, Ive owned my Cannondale Trail for about 10 months and just recently my bottom bracket came loose......exactly, how does that happen, right?? So, Mr. Dewey takes action, finds out the manufacturer screwed up and did NOT tighten the bottom bracket correctly. Nonetheless, Dewey tightened it and did a full adjustment on the entire bike. Great service and attention to detail by Dewey!! I will definitely recommend anybody that asks or has doubts, this guy knows his stuff.....thank you Dewey and the team at Sun and Ski Sports at the Rim.....Great job ladies and gentlemen.

Basic Tune-up service.Check-outand immediately tested my bike at parking lot. Had to return due to incomplete job. 3 Stars (and not less) due to their quick recover despite the extraordinary volume (6/2020 quarantine). They gifted me a small reflector previously missing (not part of the contracted services).Update 4 months after (10/2020). Again they lack parts. Service was slow and expensive for an average delivery.I tend to test shops with a regular bike before bringing my good/expensive ones. They flunk.

While some other well-known LBS in San Antonio wont service your bike because theyre too busy with their NEW bike sales, I wont say who, but they sell BIKEs in this WORLD, I am thankful that the folks at Sun & Ski want to keep those faithful and die-hard to the sport up and running! Never offered help with bikes. Never greeted. Only when I grabbed a bike and moved some levers did an employee acknowledge me. They told me not to mess with the gears because I might break it. I wont be returning to this location. Lastly, noone said thanks for coming or anything for that matter.EditI had goal of finding a bike for my 11 year old. I found a bike and bought one but not at Sun & Ski.

The customer service is top notch, the associates are super helpful and very knowledgeable of the products, and they provide all the information you need when making a big purchase. Dewey, the bike mechanic, provides amazing service! He doesnt just fix the bike, he shows you exactly what is wrong with it and how to avoid causing the issue. The free adjustments on store bought bikes are super helpful and the 3 year maintenance plan he offers is astounding! If youre interested in cycling, this is the store to go to for bikes, maintenance, and community. 10/10

Do not sleep on Sun and Ski San Antonio! Ive been to both San Antonio locations and they are some of the best in the company that I have visited. Unfortunately the 281 location is closing so you will have to make the trip out to the rim location, but it is well worth it believe me. Both San Antonio Sun and Skis have a great staff working for them. Everytime that I go in there, I am quickly asked if I need any help. The sales associates here are really good at listening to what you need, and helping you find the right product for you in your price range. I do buy all of my winter gear here, but i do spend most of my time at the bike shop. Both San Antonio locations bike shop employees are very knowledgeable and love bikes. Hopefully they move the employees from the 281 location over to the rim location because both locations have the best employees. By far will recommend this place for all outdoor activity needs, especially for all of your bike needs. The San Antonio locations are the only reason that I still shop at Sun and Skis across America, because I unfortunately have had way worse experiences at other locations before. Please give this place a check out, it is well worth it.

I went in to get my first adjustments done to my Cannondale Habit 4. Dewey helped me out and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! These guys know what theyre doing! I highly recommend buying your mtb at this location!

I asked for help the gentleman said they will be right with you walked to the back. And a gentleman was walking towards the front walked right past me made sure he avoid eye contact. Went to help the register I still waited when he finally asked if I was okay I was not. He said ma’am we are doing what we can with what we have, I walked out he followed me out yelling. It was the scariest experience I’ve had who follows you all the way out.

I have no idea what this Jason guy is talking about. I was in on the 12th of July and I fell in love with the store. Overpriced!? They had some of the best sales too! You honestly couldnt beat the sale they have on swimsuits. And the staff were extremely friendly!!! They have long conversations with anybody and thats a good thing not bad. Dylan came to my aid and although he showed me around he also just seeing how my day was going then we went into a conversation of the lakes here in Texas. Treated me like a person and not a customer. One of the most friendliest services Ive ever had. Definitely will bring more business to them!!

Dewey did an amazing job explaining the difference between bikes and thier different gear. He also let us test ride the bikes. This guy was so helpful he even have us maps of trails we could locally ride. Super friendly there isnt many people like him.

Dewey was more than helpful with my starter bike. I gave him a price point and he stuck within it while never specifically calling any bike trash. He stayed until after 9 pm tuning the bike and giving me pointers out in the parking lot. Went to pull the bike for its first ride today and the front tire was flat. Brought it in and the actual wheel had failed, Sergio changed it out in about 5 min with zero hassle and a handshake. Not leaving this place at all. Far cry from any shop I’ve been to I’m town. The whole store staff is awesome, helpful, and don’t hound you. Ohhh BTW for any of you that sport Kühl, best selection and inventory in town. Same goes for the Patagonia crowd. Wish they carried more hiking/riding shoes/boots. Ohhh be cool to Dewey, man. He walks hard.

I had a very BAD FIRST experience at this location. I’m in the market for a new bike as I want to take on a new hobby/physical activity. Sun & Ski had a big Sale going on through midnight and I decided to stop by on the way home after a family dinner. I arrived at this location with about 20 min to spare. I walked down every row of bikes and not a single employee greeted or acknowledged me. All of the employees were carrying on with their conversations, playing beer pong, and on their phones. After walking around for 10 min, I decided to leave. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have worked in retail for many years as an undergraduate and customer service was always #1. This was a very unfortunate experience but I now know to bring my business else where for my first bike purchase.

The new Sun & Ski store, it is a larger store with a larger selection. I still prefer going to the other location as I know most of the staff over there but when Im up at the RIM going to bass pro I always swing by to Sun and Ski.
