Upon arrival I was greeted at the door by a sales representative and his name was Allen. He seemed very uptight and cranky and certainly rude.I asked him if he could read the numbers on my phone as he misdialed the number I gave him.He snapped back very rude and loud that he was listening to me. What a very unprofessional attitude. If wasn’t for customers like me he would probably be at home. This person (Allen) is not a good representative for this company. I told him before departing the store that they would get a negative review because of him. He said that was fine. He offered no apology at all. Perhaps it’s time for this man to retire. He doesn’t need to be facing the public with his negative attitude. I’m sure the rest of the staff is fine. My first business with this store and glad to get the items I got. This is an example of the 10 % rule. In a basket of apples there is always the bad 10 % that needs culled out. I have over 30 years of federal service and I will not allow someone to talkto me like a bum off the street. To get respect you need to show respect. This man can use some training in customer service relations. Take care.Dissatisfied customer.

Goldmine for dyi electronics. I know there is a lot more components in the back, but I wish everything was displayed for customers to see, like it was in Ra-Elco.

This place is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. It has a great collection of old and new stuff. Arduino stuff and antique-y components. And lots of things you just need like shrink tubing, audio adapters, etc.

These guys are incredible! We had an incident with an older piece of dental equipment where the pins in the connector for a foot control had bent and broken. The equipment was fairly old and I could not get the new part to replace the broken one without buying used equipment at a very high price. I had a friend tell me to take it over to these guys and have them look to see if anything could be done. Robert took a look and was straight forward with me that it could potentially be fixed, but it would be a difficult job. It was completely worth it to have him try. It turns out that Robert is a true wizard and was able to repair the equipment and literally saved me thousands of dollars. I highly recommend the folks at Standard Supply Electronics...they know their stuff.

This place was fantastic. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Price is very in line with the industry.Curbside note: knowing what you need is very useful when picking up. Curbside pickup is awesome while consideration for social distance is appropriate.

Ive tried this place three times now in an attempt to get the excellent service that is stated in other reviews. As someone new to electronics, it would be nice to think that a local shop would be willing to share their knowledge and experience, perhaps even offer a little patience, while getting a reliable customer in the process.Unfortunately, this business is seems to exist mainly as a resistor in my circuit.When a physical storefront gives a level of service that is less appealing than a bot-driven website, there is a problem.This company absorbed some of the Rayelco staff when it burned down.I do miss them.

This was my first experience in the store. They were more than helpful in pinpointing the right inductor that I needed. They spent about 30 min. helping me for a .47 cent part. Outstanding customer service.

Needed to finish a project by today and didnt have the resistors i needed. Always drove by but never went in until today. They had resistor values that worked for me and for a great price as well. While my parts were pulled from the back i was able to walk around and realized there were a lot of things there that i knew i was going to need later on so ill be visiting soon.Yes some have said their prices are high, while some of their products were pricey, really not much more than you may find online. They had what i needed today and if i have to pay a little more for it and not wait for an online order ill gladly do so.

I needed an elusive 3A fuse for an amp. The gal at the counter was AWESOME! Who needs Radio Shack. They have resistors, crimpers, electronic pieces and parts! Ill definitely be coming back here.

Having been an electronic technician for 29+ years it is great to talk with someone who can speak your language, knowing just what you are asking for without having to go through pictures.It happens more than you would think when you get into technical electronics.Very helpful, even making good suggestions for a custom design I was building. Saved me quite a bit of time and money.

These guys are great always have been. Robert especially is very helpful and very knowledgeable about electronics and ham radio components.

Would give more if possible. I called in 5 min before closing time today looking for a single 100ohm in line resistor. Jeff--I believe was his name--not only answered, but immediately informed me that he had as many as I wanted at 10c each. I was thrilled until I realized I was at least 20 min away and they closed in less than 5 min. Long story short he put 2 of them in a sealed and labeled bag and left them next to the door for me. I told him Id leave a few dollars and he said no worries man. So to whomever gave this place one star and mentioned something about ridiculous prices...Id assume he was just having a bad day and took it out on these guys. He can continue to shop on Ebay...I for one would recommend this place to anyone. Top notch...pay it forward. Thanks again for excellent service--Im truly thankful you guys are here in SLC

Prices are really excessive. Multiple your cost by 5 compared to ebay, I understand convenience costs but this is beyond profit. No prices on product hides there intention to charge more or less depending if they know you. I won’t be visiting this store again. BEWARE.

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I bought a Fluke meter and a power supply a while back. The salesman pointed me out to what I needed, not what was the most expensive. A great experience overall.

Standard Supply Electronics has gone through some changes lately. They are now open during the noon hour! (Hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). They also have a working website, with online ordering, where they are adding new products often. They have some interesting sale and surplus products you should check out.

Awesome. Very helpful and friendly. Im an electronic novice. I handed him a list of components i needed to make a tester for my bike and he gathered everything i needed and answered questions.
