I called the Geek Squad 3 times and the endless menu options followed long hold that never ended in a human voice. I selected the option for a call back and never got one.My power port needs repair and so the laptop battery wont charge. I especially loved the recorded voice asking me if I tried holding down the power button. Thanks for that.If they cant figure out their own phones, I dont hold much hope for their figuring out my laptop--its a little more complicated.

This particular Best Buy takes extremely good care of me. So I have made it a habit to buy the majority of electronics from them. The store manager is fantastic he is very much down to earth and he appreciates people and takes great care of his employees. Employees then take great care of the customers that are in need of advice in guidance.

Start a new job I need a new keyboard, went in and grabbed it good selection of items and it looks like they’re all stacked up for items coming up for the holidays.This review is specifically for the young lady that checked me out, I think her name is Autumn. Usually I get super annoyed when an employee at the checkout asks me several times if I want to protection plan, if I want to save money by signing up for a Best Buy card, or any other promotion about rounding up or just spending more money then I intended… today was an exception. I was very impressed with her persistence and professional manner.I was happy to know there are employees out there doing their job to the best of their ability regardless of rejection. I know places are having a hard time finding good quality employees and I think she did a great job today. Thanks

I took my GMC Explorer hightop van to upgrade whole car audio system, remote start, backup camera, dash cam, smart 32” tv setup there. This South Salt Lake location has more knowledgeable employees and better than any other Best Buy we went by.The complicate jobs went smoothly and really well. I recommend this location to all my family and friends there.

Im fairly sure their geek squad knows very little about computers. They are unable to answer basic questions. They might be fine for servicing stuff sold in the last 3 months but not something thats a couple years old.

This store is always nice to visit, employees are very friendly, merchandise is usually in stock and overall the ambiance is welcoming.Never had a problem with customer service nor product warranties. Ive brought a couple of items back because of defective performance a couple different instances, and never had any trouble getting a replacement or another alternate option. I always purchase the extra warranties because they definitely stand behind their quality on their merchandise which makes it all worth it. Ive purchased 3 appliances for our kitchen in 2 different visits and the job was always handled professionally. Delivered and installed perfectly. This is my to go electronics store, definitely a favorite! 5 🌟

We purchased Viking appliances in excess of $18K and the experience has been terrible. We got a damaged cooktop which is yet to be replaced after a month, our double ovens have been delayed for over 4 months now with no end in sight and a refund is impossible. Other appliance stores that carry Viking have our ovens in stock . The sales guy told us we can only get a store credit or a credit to BB credit card. We want neither because we won’t ever do business with BB again. I feel like we’re being held hostage. Salesperson says he’ll see what he can do and says he’s going to call us back and many, many times he just doesn’t ever call back.My advice would be to go to a kitchen appliance store if you want to have a smooth transaction. Also, Viking gives rebates to buyers who spend over a certain amount but our sales guy never told us about that possibility until we call him out on it.

This is definitely my go-to for most electronic devices, I generally dont have problems with any of my purchases and when I have I was able to resolve the issue, the floor staff may be busy at times but generally seem willing to help and returns have been easy to do, one example I went to return a Sony X90j for the A80j with no problem just make sure its within the return window of time. Over all BestBuy is a sound place to make purchases on electronics.

Mike in the camera section was SO HELPFUL. We are so beyond grateful! He helped us multiple times on multiple days and went above & beyond in every way to make sure we had what we needed and were educated about our options. It’s been a long time since we’ve received that quality of customer service anywhere and we’d come back to the SLC location just for that! Terrible customer service. Front end manager told me I had to purchase an extended warranty if I wanted to exchange an item that had failed. Strong arm tactics. I even told her I felt that way and she shrugged so I purchased the warranty and then returned it at another store. Terrible service. Terrible managerial skills. She just wanted the warranty to pad her bonuses. Terrible

I like this store better than the one in Murray only because of the location.If you take public transportation like I do just jump on the bus up on the tracks and deliver your right to Best buy off 21st South.The employees knew a lot about the items they sell there, especially the electronics.I never saw an employee that didnt have a smile on the face.

Expansive store, plenty of helpful staff. Pretty good supply despite supply chain issues in all sectors. I bought a stereo there and they installed it for free including routing a microphone near the driver side for digital assistant/answering of calls. 10/10

My washer just broke out of the blue this week so I was in dire need of solving the problem. I went to Home Depot and then Lowes first. Both places would barely give me the time of day, let alone help me with my purchase. My last stop was Best Buy. Not only did they have exactly the washer and dry I wanted at the same price as Home Depot, but I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who assisted me with everything I would need to know, plus a full year of tech support for free and 18 months zero interest financing. Ill have my new set next week. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely go back.

If could leave no star would. Policy changes from day to day they refuse price match go pro price one day yet come on another day they do. Policy seems change day to day depending on mood they are in then want get smart with you and give excuse as to why one day they price match then next day they dont.Worst customer service ever!!!!

Employees were helpful and friendly. One employee was driving a Big Joe through the main aisles without honking around corners or walkways. Thats the only reason I removed a star. It only takes one accident to change everything. And thats against OSHA standards, especially around the public.

Typical Best Buy experience. Lots of salespersons offering to help you wherever you turn or walk. Can be annoying but truly is a positive compared to other stores where one has to go seek out sales assistance. This store is very well stocked and their black shirts and their typical salespeople seem to mostly know their stuff when it comes to internet modems and Wi-Fi as well as other topics. Excellent selection of computer peripherals.

I went in this morning to see if i could get help with my printer not printing like it should be. I got sent to geek squad and the “manager” said theres no enough we can do with printers we can just give you a new one which i was okay with. She called someone else to help me, he took me to the printers and said they didn’t have the printer i bought 7 months ago. We found other printers which he didn’t know nothing about cuz he couldn’t tell me the difference from one another so all he did was check prices. We found one that was the same price, went to the register of geek squad and found out i couldn’t buy it until Tuesday, i dont have time to be going back. so there was the first problem. Then i just said okay just give me my money back and the guy the was helping me was gonna do it when we got interrupted by the geek squad manager saying i couldn’t get my money back only a gift card i said why? The product i got from you guys it doesn’t work. She started saying that the contracts from the manufacturers wouldn’t let her and this and that, me as a customer have no idea about the contracts between the products you guys sell. I wanted my money back. She didn’t offer any other solutions to the problem. As a manager that she is, thats one of the worst customer services i seen. So the 4yr protection plan that i bought with you guys just went to waste cuz i only got what the printer was worth on a gift card. I tried shopping at best buy for the first time and had a really bad experience on trying to get my product fix or return. Tried contacting “leadership” and never got a respond.

This Best Buy is always great. It is large, well stocked with more variety than other Best Buy’s. The people working here are always friendly and helpful. They place has always been clean and well-maintained, yet they are remodeling to make it even better. Even during remodeling, it is still very well kept.

Got a car radio installed. Was quick once I brought in. They said there was a pretty good wait for the radio and install date. So he set my equipment to be delivered there closer to my install date. Email notifications told me when they arrived and reminder when install date was. They were delivered with no issues and installed with none. There was a part I had ordered they didnt need so he refunded me the price. Great service.Edit: Once I filled out review my new radio started restarting whenever I hit a bump. Took it in and they said only thing was a wire that lead to nothing they had capped off. Got in my car and was still restarting. Have an appointment with my mechanic soon anyway so ill have them see if it is my car, installation or the radio. Happy they looked and service i have got so far. Unhappy my radio resets. Will take back in after mechanic looks at it if mechanic determines what issue could be.

Called Best buy for a radio cover for motorcycle the web side showed 2 in stock I called and they told me there are 2 in stocks when I got there I waited 30 minutes and came back and told me they do not have them in stock the web side is wrong and the person who answered the phone said she verified they had 2 in stock. So I drive 64 miles round tripfor nothing because the employees said they verified and just lied.I will not shop at Best Buy ever again

I ordered a New version of the Roku Stick and paid for it online. I used the curbside pick up and didn’t even have to get out of my car! Best Buy does have excellent handicapped access at all of ther stores! The will also price match any published sale price as well. Sorry, pictures aren’t really needed here! Please take my word for it! Handicap accessed and price matching! Good place to shop!

No host at door. The sign in the dept far from the door says go back to the host to get help. 30 minutes checking out noise cancelling headphones. No one wants to sell anything. Workers within 25 feet opening a whole display of product. Disappointing, especially for a reward card member. Products lacking and no service to prove my search wrong.

Sometimes going into best buy seems like everyone is everywhere or in their own world. Reason for 4 stars. Most of the time I dont have good experiences because I usually do end up getting help from new employees which makes the time in the store a whole lot longer.

We had a major situation with a Samsung phone we purchased 2 months ago from here. The camera wasn’t working properly and the Samsung rep there on Friday’s even agreed. After multiple attempts (and weeks) to get it fixed via Samsung the issue still wasn’t resolved. In fact the Samsung manager that was supposed to call us back never did. Finally we went back to Best Buy, spoke with the manager TJ, explained the situation. Plain and simple, He resolved it for us. We should have started this whole process right here with TJ and Best Buy. This is the type of customer service I wish more companies had these days. Thank you TJ (and Cam) and Best Buy!!

I had to wait for someone to come assist me and when they found out I was waiting I was told to go stand in a line. Once I did someone finally came up, I asked my question and got a very short answer, with no further assistance. I had to pry out another question prior to being told to just contact Microsoft Directly. Thanks Best Buy, I was looking at spending over a thousand dollars on a computer and basically told to just go online. I will and I will go directly to another stores website to purchase from.

Like most Best Buys, they no longer carry very many of the items that they actually sell. While I understand that this is an unfortunate affect of retail evolution, but it can be be very frustrating being interested in an item but being unable to see the item in person or on a functioning display as in the past. Also, the layout of the store is not been intuitive. An example would be that the location of the routers, instead of being near the computers or printers, is located on the other side of the store with the cell phones. Employee interaction is admittedly usually great and they will do there best to assist but they can only do so much when a product they do happen to carry in the store, and shows up in their app as being in stock, but its unfortunately nowhere to be found; Ive encountered this scenario several times. I dont totally blame this on best buy and see it more or less as brick and mortar stores beginning less of a priority.

Camera Department was very helpful when I looked around and in the end I ended up buying a great camera for my future photo postings on google maps, Kudos to Matt for his great customer service 👍

I have been shopping at Best Buy for so many years now and have purchased countless items from cameras, ipad, computers, etc.I worked in retail for over 23 years; customer service is one of the most important thing during my career in that field. So I have high expectations and understanding at the same time...(this will be a long review, stay tuned)I have only shopped in this Best Buy location for about 7 years after I moved here in Salt Lake from California. 7 years ago, I finally decided to be a grown up and take photography more seriously. I went in with a Canon camera in mind and walking out with a Sony a6000.For me, that was a smart choice having the a6000 as my first DSLR. It was easy to use, compact and lighter comparing to other brands and models. Thanks to Matt, who helped me to pick out the right choice for me and I was so happy with that suggestion.3 years later, I have decided to upgrade my camera to a high performance model. Once again, Matt was there to assist me... I looked at several Sony cameras (which I prefer to stick with Sony mirrorless at the time after having a6000 for 3 years) and wasnt sure how to choose.Matt pointed out all the features and which camera might benefit me the most... if I was looking to shoot still and/or video. I ended up with the a6500 and I could not be happier owning that camera! Once again, Matts knowledge truly helped me to decide what would work best for me at the time.Fast forward, these last 2 months...I went in over a month ago, shopping for a full frame camera this time. How lucky was I running into Dave! He is insanely talented in photography. His passion of photography shows me that he knows his SH*T! And he showed me his amazing photos...I was so appreciative because I learned something from an expert which camera body and which lens(es) would be better for the long run...I was not ready to purchase. That was just me doing some homework.So 2nd trip came and I was assisted by Mike. Mike was also extremely knowledgeable. He was about to confirm some of the details that I need to know. Mike was super honest and understanding regarding my budget and which body/lens would offer what I need to perform my daily work.After purchasing the a7ii body online (because they do not have that in the store), I needed to return to look at lenses. As I was waiting on the price adjustment from Best Buy customer service (yes, the camera price dropped $500 less than a week after I purchased it)... I went into Dave again and he is super awesome (again) and pointed out what the options I have... a 35mm, 55mm, and the 85mm...We discussed on features and price points... that helped me to decided which to purchase and BAM my refunded just kicked in as I was at the store.Long story longer... lolI had to run home and go back to buy the lens.And I am SUPER happy with my full frame camera and lens purchases to up my game a little more... owning 2 great cameras for my business.All and all...These dudes... Matt, Dave & Mike, they are super awesome, professional, knowledgeable, and honest! Honest is really key. They tried to understand what my needs are and not just to sell me something...lolDont get me wrong, they each tried to upsell me...Which Matt did twice hahahahahaBut I know now what I am looking for... So I went to buy a kid- proof case for a Fire HD 8. I looked around and so did my little boy. I found it somewhere in the middle of the store. It was a opened package. So put it back to you where it was and as I was walking away a associate came by saying: Do you find everything ok... I answered: oh... Hi there!... I continued: not really but there you a opened package on a kid-proof case for a Fire HD 8. Is there any way you could check if there is any in the back?The associate answered: oh... eh I believe thats all we have right now...Noticing that he wouldnt take the extra mile,I I asked right away: could you give it with discount? The associate said: sorry, I can not do that...So seeing that the associate wouldnt take the extra mile neither wanted to make a sale and keep a customer to come back again, I decided to walk away...As I was leaving the area I said to him: you are not a good seller...But I was not giving up.So walked to the front of the store where I saw to ladies associates talking behind the counter. After greeting them I said: could I talk to a supervisor or manager on duty, please. One them said: I am a manager. After I presented my case, she offered me a discount on the mentioned item. That made me happy and because I had some who listened and made a good decision to have a sale, I bought the item right away.My son was there, he saw the situation and daddy did not give up. So told my son be polite always,greet them first, listen always and take the extra mile...give the customer a reason to come back again!

This was a horrible visit. We spent over 1200 dollars for iPhone 12 pro. They promised it would be unlocked. It was not. Instead of a refund they need to send a check. So my daughter bday gift. She is still waiting for. Have not received the check. 3 weeks later. Very bad customer service. They only care about big carriers. A worker tried to talk me out of buying a wifi portable. I wanted simple mobile instead of sprint. So like he did not even want to do his job any more. They get kick backs for sprint t-mobile Verizon all of them. So if it aint them they dnt care. They will take the money knowing the phone is locked to those servers. Its a scam. U lose money to cash the check. Very bad customer service. Got 2 I pad 2 iPhone from here. Never again

I was having phone issues. I went Geak squad first. The tech sent me to the other techs even though they had no customer. I stood in line forever. First, one of the techs refused to help because I wasnt a sell. However, thanks to the patience, agility and willingness to provide good customer service by CONNOR, a tech with no badge, so I asked his name, helped me and solved my problem. Thank you. I wont mention the other techs name because, with obvious condescending attitude towards his coworkers, less than friendly disposition with a customer, ..etc This is not just a personal trait, but rather poor supervision and store management.Again, thank you Connor
