My wife and I love finding local unique shops like this whenever we travel, and Weller didn’t disappoint at all. We started upstairs and they had a big wall full of rare and old books which hooked us instantly! Then you look downstairs and see a sea of books! The selection is vast and well curated. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the prices are fair.It was a pleasant find on our Utah trip and we were able to pick up a gift here too.

This bookstore took my breath (and money) away from the beginning. It can be a little overwhelming when you first get there because there is a LOT to take in but only in the best way. I love this bookstore and could spend hours here easily. Such a variety of topics and you’re guaranteed to find a book worth reading here. Love this place!

This is such a cute bookstore with a variety of different subjects and item types. It was bigger than I expected going in with a pretty large collection of vintage/rare books on top of the already vast floor. The customer service was great on top of that. My only warning is to prepare to be there a while as there is so much to look at it could take hours.

Not sure what I did wrong right when I came in, but floor people here are definitely rude... especially when you eye your customers without saying hello. I made sure to use your sanitizers right at the door as posted and of course properly wore my mask... so right off the back I would say I was trying to be a good customer right from the moment I stepped in. Heres where my experience went SOUR: You said hi to everyone before I came in and everyone after me. Ive worked several years in face to face customer service and todays experience was straight up down right rude. I wasnt expecting red carpet service or anything but dont look at your potential customers like theyre going to rob you. I came in wanting to find titles for summer reading and I ended up leaving with a mental list of books I will be ordering on Amazon in their used section. Im all for supporting small business but dont shun customers you dont even know. Its OK though, I will never ever come here anymore. ✌

These pictures should indicate what a REAL bookstore looks like. This is Weller Book Works bookstore located in Trolley Square. Can you imagine going to Weller Book Works, sitting down with an amazing book and losing yourself in the comfort of this chair, forgetting about time as you envelop yourself in the pages of the written word!I recommend buying the book too, that way you can go home and continue to enjoy the life of reading great literature.Whats my point? A bookstore represents ideas, thoughts, change and progression. Weller Book Works is a place the personifies this philosophy. So, next time your in SLC and you want to check out a REAL bookstore, go to Weller Book Works, it has the kind of look and feel that promotes what books have always been about: Promoting ThoughtAlso, enjoy those big comfy chairs.

Great bookstore! They sell both used and new books. The selection varies by category. They had a huge selection of used religious books, but most of their childrens books were new. It is a very cool location in Trolley Square, but I think it would be better if they had better lighting. The corner where the LDS books are located is very dark and its hard to read the book titles.

Independent book shops are becoming increasingly rare these days. That this one (among the fair amount of others in the Salt Lake area) is still going strong is good to see. Our first visit was enjoyable. The shop, being in Trolley Square, had free parking across the street, with a covered pedestrian crossing above the traffic. When my family walked in the shop, I was immediately impressed by the order: books were easily browsable by category, which makes it ideal if one doesnt have much time to linger (we live in Nevada and had to get back on the road). I ended up buying *only* one book, a biography on C.S. Lewis. The book sellers were friendly enough, which is to say, they left us alone to browse and explore. Easily a new must-stop when we visit Utah again.

Such a wonderful bookstore with great selection. Prices are a little more expensive than Amazon since, y’know, they’re not a mega-corporation with huge purchasing power. But it’s only a few more dollars for books and you’re keeping a local business alive that has been in SLC for so many years. They also order books they don’t have in inventory and it’s a seamless process. We love going here! Highly recommend.

At least one of the main employees there does not handle aged, highly expensive books with care. He tosses them about as though they were blocks of wood. Half the value will be lost by his handling, and the other half when the entire book falls apart by the time you get home and read it. I will learn to do business with professionals from now on!

Well, this place has been a long time prize in Salt Lake City. One of my go to places for books. Local, independent, charming, stylish, friendly! Fun to browse new and used books here and, of course, they can special order almost anything you would like if it is not in stock. One of my favorite recent reads was a used find of The Sun Also Rises, and I just ordered new, The Poetics of Space. I prioritize frequenting local, independent businesses and find that the more time I spend doing so, the better and happier my life is! Sure we may be able to save a little money and have something arrive at our doorstep, but what experiences are we missing when we take that path and what is the value of those experiences missed? :)
