I BOUGHT A BMW 7 SERIES FROM MONROE AUTO SALES IN BOUNTIFUL THE VEHICLE WAS VISUALLY IN AMAZING SHAPE INSIDE AND OUT SO I STUPIDLY ASSUMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PERFECT BUT I LEARNED A IMPORTANT AND HARD LESSON THAT DAY ALWAYS HAVE YOUR VEHICLE CHECKED BEFORE YOU BUY IT I GOT HOME 2 HOURS LATER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING I WAS REALLY DEVASTATED THE BANK SAID I WAS STUCK WITH THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NOTING THAT THEY COULD DO SO I LOOKED FOR A HIGHLY RATED MECHANIC ON GOOGLE AND I FOUND A1 AUTO CLINIC IN LAYTON AFTER 2 DAYS AND 850$ DOLLARS OF DIAGNOSTICS ALONE ALL I GOT WAS 1 COIL AND 1 SPARK PLUG THAT WASNT EVEN THE CORRECT ONE AFTER THAT THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP AND FUEL INJECTORS THAT WAS GOING TO COST 4950 $ FOR PARTS AND LABOR I WANTED A SECOND OPINON SO I TOOK MY BMW TO BIMMER MOTOR WORKS AFTER ALEX DID HIS DIAGNOSTICS HE EXPALINED THAT ALL I NEEDED WAS ALL NEW COILS AND SPARK PLUGS AND THAT THE INJECTORS AND FUEL PUMP WERE FINE!!!! Called to ask a quick question about my BMW X5. Alex was a jerk and would not answer my question. He only replied with Im in business to fix cars,not educate people about them.Not very professional if you ask me! If I could give zero or negative stars I would!

If you are a European car enthusiast, I can almost guarantee that you cant find any better shop, including dealerships. Remember to be patient, service can take longer, but the quality of the job will be outstanding.

I recommend this shop if you’re willing to pay the price. I’m used to working on my own American made cars & trucks. When it comes to imports they can be a little tricky and just different especially older models.Definitely not the cheapest place in town, but they do good work and know what they are talking about. I took my Mini in a couple of months ago and the crew here did a fantastic job. I’ve waited to post this to ensure that the job was done well. They let me know up front all the issues and have a guarantee on all their parts for 24,000 miles or 24 months whichever comes first. Alex worked right there with me and called me personally to all about costs and what needed to be done. The receptionist was helpful and sent all the details over to help me make a better decision. The crew working with Alex know their way around the cars.

Aleks is one of the most honest mechanics I have ever done business with and believe me, with my BMW that has been a lot! Where one shop wanted to charge $13k for a bunch of unnecessary repairs, Aleks fixed the issue for 1/10 of the price and didnt try and try to replace a bunch of unnecessary stuff and take advantage of my warranty. He is way better than even the 2 crooked BMW dealerships owned and run by the same shady people here in UT. The dealership totally ruined my engine which threw a rod days after they had to pull it to change an oil pan gasket that was only slightly leaking. Mind you the engine ran perfectly before I simply brought it in for an oil change and had less than 50k miles on it! The dealership not only got the warranty company to shell out the $45k in repairs, it then took them a YEAR to figure out one of the turbos they replaced wasnt working. Of course they milked my warranty company during that year replacing all kinds of unnecessary parts. Anyway, after taking my car to Bimmer Motor Werks it has never run better, I only wish I would have found them sooner. I cant praise Aleks enough, he is not only a great guy but a first class mechanic. I only wish he worked on other brands so he could be my mechanic for life because sadly after this nightmare I will never own a BMW again.

I called 5 or 6 different German car shops in the valley and these guys quoted me the cheapest price on a new water pump and thermostat for my 2011 335 xdrive. They had the best price on OEM parts and only quoted 3 hours of labor when most other shops wanted 4 hours. Unfortunately had to go somewhere else that could get my car in quicker but it was obvious from our call that the owner was knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Went to Bimmer Motor Werks to get my 328i’s valve cover gasket replaced, as well as oil pan gasket, as the previous owner didn’t maintain my car. Aleks Zaytev was able to get everything taken care of. He knows a lot about BMW’s, and has been able to my repairs done at a competitive price. He is understanding, but straight forward, and has shown me what needs to be done to maintain my BMW.Will be going here for any future issues I have!

Aleks is the best. Ive taken my 2006 Cooper S in several times for both inspections and repairs, and he knows what hes talking about. There were a couple of things he said I could wait 6 or 8 months to fix and others that needed to be fixed right away. Repairs have always been done the same day, and the price was fair. Ill never take my Mini anywhere else.

I have taken my BMW to other indy shops in Salt Lake City as well as the Dealerships in both Murray and Pleasant Grove.By Far Bimmer Motor Werks is the best place to take your car. As far as pricing goes they are very similar to the other indy shops in Utah. Customer care and service is a big factor when i shop anywhere. At Bimmer Motor Werks you are taken care of. If there is ever an issue with your service they will promptly resolve it.One of the best places to take your Bimmer.

Aleks and his team have been servicing my 2005 Mini Cooper for over 3 years. Its always a pleasure to work with them. Their inspections are through with detailed explanations of work needed. Alecks offers to perform necessary work while providing info on future needs without being pushy. Pricing is fair, especially for the excellent work his team performs. Highly recommend! Dont bother with Mini of Murray, take your Mini or BMW to Bimmer. Theyll never disappoint.

Sad to leave Salt Lake City for a work move, These guys took care of our 325xi for years! Fair and helpful, asked for a bucket list of all problems with the vehicle up front and made a plan to slowly fix a few things here and there during routine maintenance appointments. Kept our ride running from 140K miles to 225K and going.

Ive been going to Aleks for almost 10 years now and I would consider him one of the truly honest and skilled mechanics in town. About thee times over the years Ive had the experience where hell say it was just xyz so I took care of it for no charge.Sure, Ive also had pricey repairs, but theyll NEVER surprise you with costs - they go over EXACTLY how much the repairs will be and Ive never been charged a penny over.I highly recommend!

Alex says Cant tell you my secrets or I would be out of work when he charged me for an extra hour to open the stuck front hood. When it relatched accidentally (before I could get it repaired), Alex wanted to charge another hour. I opened it myself in less than 10 minutes - and I am not a BMW mechanic with secrets that I use against my clients to OVERCHARGE them. So Alex - YOU WILL BE OUT OF WORK IF YOU OVERCHARGE CLIENTS!!!!! I will never go there, or refer work to them EVER. Oh yes - also gave me a misdiagnosis of the 02 Sensor ($400 job) and failed to reset the Check Engine when he ran the test so I could check for issues.

Its always tricky to find a trusted shop to perform your auto repairs, especially when you own a car thats not the standard, so when I started to notice an oil leak on my 128i I reached out to a friend, John, and asked where he had his BMW worked on. Bimmer Motorworks, ask for Aleks, tell him I sent you came the immediate reply.The work I had done was not inexpensive, but after looking at the work that was done there is a reason some things cost a bit of money and that is, theyre worth it. The car is running great and Im very pleased with the work that Aleks and the team at Bimmer Motowerks did. Heres to another 150K!Aleks has strong opinions about the care of these vehicles, and in reading some of the other reviews I can see that its sometimes off-putting. I found it to be rather reassuring. I was presented options at each step of the process, and Alekss opinion about which was the RIGHT choice was not at all obscure. That said, for a couple of the less critical repairs when I chose the cheaper (non-preferred) option I wasnt made to feel bad about it, just a disclaimer that it wasnt the best way to take care of my car. I have been taking my x5 here for almost 3 years now. I was first recommended to Bimmer Motor Werks by a trusted mechanic that told me that he sends all of his BMW repair jobs to Aleks because he is the best BMW mechanic around. I am a BMW lover and it is very difficult to find someone that knows how to work on BMWs. I was so impressed the first time I met Aleks because he literally spent over 1 hour just talking to me about my x5, explaining the common issues that he has seen with my model, educating me on the anticipated cost of ownership. Aleks is by far the most knowledgeable BMW enthusiast that I have ever met. Iana at the frontdesk provides excellent customer service - she always explains the costs upfront, keeps me up on the progress of my repairs and answers the phone on the first ring when I have a question. Recently, I had another dealer do a oil change for me (big mistake). Turns out that the other dealer didnt even change my oil filter and told me i needed an expensive repair to fix a leaky seal. Unfortunately, I had them do the repair. Within a few weeks I notice that my oil had still been dripping. I took it to Aleks and told him the situation. Alex immediately identified the correct problem but the faulty repair had caused serious damage to my x5. Aleks helped me through a very difficult process of getting my x5 back on the road. If you really care about your BMW, you should get to know Aleks.

I have been dealing with Alecs and his team for 2 years now with multiple BMWs. They are fair, very thorough, competitively priced and provide very high level of service. I have brought both major (engine replacement) and minor (oil changes and suspension work) problems to Bimmer Motor Werks and they consistantly got the job done correctly and in a timely fashion. Murray BMW misdiagnosed and over charged me multiple times (stay away) and Alecs was able to correctly diagnose and fix my cars every time. If you have a BMW, go see him with confidence.

Beware! This place will rip you off. Aleks quoted a price of $245 for JUST labor to install a battery and reset the electronics. BMW of Murray quoted me $180 labor for the same job. When I asked Aleks about it he said I could take it to the dealer. To be 30% above the dealer is beyond ridiculous. For a brake job(rear rotors and pads) Aleks quoted me $765. Another independent mechanic specializing in BMWs quoted me a price of $428 using only BMW OEM parts. He mentioned that he has heard similar stories about Bimmer Motor Werks. I could go on but this guy talks the game just like any con-man and charges exorbitant prices. I can only imagine how many people he has swindled thinking that is just the cost of owning a European car.
