Extremely expensive. You can clearly see the owner is doing well, what a beautiful new model Corvette parked in the owners car port. Purchased a lawnmower battery which was in high demand and low inventory around town because of COVID productions....$90. Took a trimmer in for repair and mentioned that this was a Boyscout owned trimmer but no consideration there on repair pricing for the Troop boys. Anyway, $40 deposit up front. Stooped in after about two weeks of waiting and the mechanics in the shop said parts on order. Alright, Ill check back. Check back in week, the owner says this will be $200 to fix, no parts were ordered yet. $40 out the door....Ill probably pick up the trimmer and never come back. Too much money. Making a descent living is perfectly acceptable but greed is a terrible thing.
They are the worse of the worse. My zero turn just needed deck to be level They put on new blades a new belt for no reason I already had new blades on it. I just couldnt level the deck properly Now the blades they put on is hitting each other and told me its fix They charge me 343.00 I told the owner why u do all that without calling me firsthe said it is what it is I sware to u I almost went to jail over these people. The old man in back has attitude worse then owner. Im serious folks please dont take your business to these people. They are cheats!!!!!!!!
They tried to charge over 700$ for 4 tires and 2 blades. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Highway robbery. Cause if you cant afford repair cost. They wont work with you. They will just sell your stuff!
Almost always have the parts on the shelf . Genuine parts no BS .
My buddy from Virginia told me about this place right here in SalisburyThey had everything I needed & then some
They had the part I needed for my lawn mower both times I needed help.
Very helpful got there at last minute and was still helped with getting my mower fixed thank you for your help!
Nice people, very knowledgable and helpful.
I will not go back there again. If you decide to go, make sure you allow enough time to read every one of the signs the owner has posted before you decide to make a purchase. He does not give refunds. You buy it, it is yours. The owner is without a doubt the rudest, most arrogant and miserable person I have ever met. How he is still in business I will never know.
Local owned very friendly and helpful. They take the time to figure out what you need and order it if they dont have it .only took 2 days surprise when received call that part was in
Fansatic, no problems great guys there, going to continue our business there
The staff is knowledgeable and provides great service. They have a repair show and a lot of quality lawn/ recreational equipment.
Prices are a bit high on some things, like I was charged .50 for a nut, that didnt even fit in the space the part went into. And had to go to get another thinner nut elsewhere.
Good price on parts. Nice people. Fast service. What else could you ask for?
Fast and friendly, will come back again
Took my mothers zero turn mower to have adjustments to deck level and right and left drive adjusted. was quoted $150.00. was told it would be done in 1 day, it took 3.5 business days. I had to call twice before I got the new that it was ready at a price of $266.70. They say the replace blades and belts but did not call to inform me/owner of what additional work was needed prior to doing work, which by the way is a service industry standard. McMillam will never got my business again. SHOULD BE ZERO STARS!
I dropped off my Gravely mower, which needed just a seasonal tune up, and ended up being charged $900+ for various things they said was wrong with it. I was shocked initially, but trusted them since it was a few years old. When I got it home, it wouldnt run right and, sounded like it was always about to cut off. They picked it up again, and this time said the carburetor was bad (Something they should have checked initially) and they dont make the part anymore, but I may be able to find it online, but they wouldnt help find the part. So I spent close to $1000 for my mower to be in worse shape than when they took it. Today, a belt broke off and I called and asked them if they were able to fix it for me, and I was told do you want us to keep working on it for free?
Great atmosphere and overall experience. Staff was extremely helpful and made us feel comfortable about purchase.
No good, i just had an Argument with the owner of this place, i have paid him more than $600 dollar to repair my toro timecutter, the same problem is back now, he told me he only give one month warranty, now Im on my own $600 dollars later. I dont recommend this place to no one. Very poor customer service. Very Rude attitude.
I had them replace a less than $10.00 fuel line on my Husqvarna chainsaw. It cost me $88.85. The service has always been very good, but I think this is bit high. I would have normally replaced the fuel line myself, but my schedule was too busy and I needed it sooner than later. You can buy the same chainsaw for $325.00 new on eBAY.
Owner was very nice face me a good deal on an old wood chopper.
We have used Macmillans for years and we are never disappointed. I highly recommend using these gentlemen.
Horrible cust. service. Had my machine over 2 weeks. I had to call 3 times just to get them to look at it. Tried telling me it had bad gas. I just put new gas in 2 days b4 I took it there. Its clear they dont like mnftrs warranty work. Clearly I was upset and all the owner did was smile, laugh in my face. Yes he actually laughed in my face. One star because u cant rate 0. Strongly reccomend staying away from this place!
Small engine parts can be a little pricey from here but the owner running the shop is very knowledgeable and informative.
Good service, prices a little high
While fixing a broken cable on my mower their mechanic failed to secure a wheel. The wheel fell off 30 seconds after I started mowing. I brought it back and they secured the wheel without the bearing so it wobbled (I found the missing bearing on my lawn later on). When I called back they denied responsibility for the wheel and refused to service the mower. I had to drive 30 miles to another power equipment dealer. Totally unprofessional.
Great selection of parts in stock and able to help me find the right part easily.
This place is horrible took my Ryobi blower up there to have it fixed was under warranty even the mechanic talked to the people from Ryobi while I was standing there two months later called back still waiting on parts call back a month later still waiting on parts then go pick my Ryobi blower up because they lied to me three times and told me now its not under warranty are you kidding me get your story straight liars
What a wonderful experience. I went in about a week ago to get a carb for my 21hp Briggs engine which is what another repair shop suggested I needed to repair the smoking problem I was having with my 21hp Platinum Briggs and Stratton engine. They told me fuel was not cutting off and overflowing into the oil causing the smoke. When I went to Mac Millan to get the carb, I told the gentleman why I was purchasing it and the gentleman behind the counter told me that the carb was not the problem. He told me I needed a head gasket. He double checked the engine information I provided to him. I bought the head gasket which was cheaper than the carburetor. He also suggested a valve cover gasket, oil, and an oil filter. I was on my way. Opened my garage and began the process; changed head gasket, torqued all bolts in correct sequence, readjusted valves, installed new gasket on cover, changed oil and installed new spark plug. I was complete in about 90 minutes including cleaning off top of head and bottom of valves very carefully. I tested mower and it cuts like a brand new mower for around $50. That was $113 less than another shop wanted to replace the carburetor which would not have fixed the problem, they wanted $163 total for the wrong repair . By selling me the gasket Mac Millan Bros. lost money but they saved me a ton of money and solved my problem. I am also thankful he suggested the valve cover gasket as it broke while taking off cover.... These guys are the greatest. I will be a lifetime supporter. Thanks guys for the help.
The work they do is excellent. Job completion time and prices are quite reasonable.
Exceptional service..Will go back there again for my lawn tractor repairs and parts
Went in with the need of a new hub that held the twin blades on my Honda motor and got it back with a BENT SHAFT / leaking oil. Spent good money and got a dead engine, other repair shop to fix Mac Millan screw up is $400.00 ....... DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have everything you need
