A total rip off I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy none of them!! They need to be reported to BBB because they flat out are dishonest and they work against there own policies.i literally slept in my truck and watched them drive peoples car around the block bring it back and park it,when the customer came back they handed them the keys like they had done work two ladies I seen time do this too.Nonetheless my worktruck is sitting in their parking lot and has been there for over three weeks now they claim they are waiting on parks,dont get me wrong they are nice to give you a ride but real work or service and your vehicle they will decieve you and have you paying thousands and your car or truck will still in bad shape when you leave.

We got our vehicle back and ended up having to take it to a different shop for an alignment as well as new front tires because the tires that were almost new originally when we dropped it off at AAMCO were destroyed because an alignment was never done when they did the tie rod ends on our vehicle. Our A/C was supposed to get fixed and never was we lost our A/C again 2 days later

Every great small business has, at its core, great people. Savannah, the shop manager and service writer, was a joy to work with, and her two-member team of technicians, Skylar and Matt, were among the most dedicated techs Ive encountered in my 45 years of motoring. While touring the Nebraska/Kansas plains with my little red camper in tow, my old Dodge Dakota destroyed its transfer case about 25 miles north of Salina, but I managed to limp in to Total Car Care. Despite difficulties finding components for this 90s vintage truck, the team remained dedicated to making the repairs as rapidly as possible and getting me back on the road. I highly recommend them!

Our vehicle was involved in a hit and run while in their possession, and they wouldnt accept responsibility to fix it.

Skylar the technician did an excellent job on making sure I had the right parts and fluid for engine and transmission filters and oil. Jake fine scheduled me in and made sure I was on the road without any further issues. Ill recommend this business for any transmission or other services.

I don’t know anything about cars and taking my car to a mechanic always makes me nervous about what kind of attitude they will have and how trustworthy they’ll be. Cristal was very helpful and made me feel not so nervous. They towed my car since I was unable to drive it and they checked it out to let me know what they found and then gave me a recommendation. Due to the age of my car I decided not to have it fixed and they only charged me for the tow, nothing else, including letting me have it there for the week while they checked it out and I figured out what I wanted to do next. Cristal was so friendly and professional. I will definitely be back for any automotive needs and will recommend them to everyone.

Check engine light came on everywhere else was busy... Great service they got me in right away ... they ran some test made sure it was just my spark plugs and not my coil packs as well ... All and all got new plugs they put them in recommend a cleaning definitely got that .... It was an awesome friendly place to get my car fixed at I will definitely be going there again. I had a problem with my windshield wiper reservoir leak but apparently it was a minor fix. They fixed it free of charge. Great place and very clean. They dont have a TV but you stream videos on your phone. 😊👍 Very friendly staff

If you are not from Kansas, winter in the central part of the state can be a little intimidating. We were on our way to Florida, and the transmission in our Dodge 2500 decided to only let us use 1st and 2nd gear. We were just past Salina on the freeway, so we turned around, found an empty parking lot, and started making phone calls. The temperature was in the low teens at the time, but inside the cab my wifes temperament was trending toward hot. after a few calls we found the Aamco garage, and talked with Brian Walker. His friendly manner and reassurances helped calm our nerves. He could see our dilemma, and was more than willing to do what it took to get us headed south again. The Transmission had a 12 year history of problems and by this time it had over a quarter million miles on it. I decided it was time to replace it. Brian went into overdrive (transmission humor) and located one for us. It was in Georgia, and I dont know how he did it, but it arrived one and a half business days later. While it was being shipped, Mechanic Skyler took the old one out and had the Truck ready and waiting to install the Re-man transmission. We had found a nice Motel and enjoyed the sights of Salina, Winter edition. Brian kept us apprised of the repairs progress the entire time, and offered us rides in his personal vehicle if we needed due to the cold conditions. He and his crew of Skyler and Justin were friendly, professional, and efficient, and completed the job earlier than his estimate. It was reassuring to know that, while my wife and I were complete strangers to the area and the weather, we had made contact with a trustworthy person, and a company that was truly concerned with our well being. A well deserved hat tip to Aamco, and God Bless America.

This place is awesome, my wife and I broke down moving across the country on I70 heading west. I didnt get service there but I was treated very kindly and professional. Savannah was kind and helpful with explaining finance options. I only had to wait 1 hour or less and my truck had many issues.

Savannah always makes sure to let me know when something is going on with my vehicles in a timely manner. The price is always right with nationwide warranties. I couldnt ask for a better trustworthy shop.

They have no clue what a coolant flush is or what it consist of.

Our transmission started going out while we were en route from Colorado to Indiana. After contacting AAMCO in Salina, Savannah, the customer service manager, spent almost 2 hours, long after closing time, trying to find us a closer alternative or transportation since AAA would not allow us to ride with their tow truck driver. When all other options had been exhausted, she arranged for a tow truck that would allow us to ride along on the 182 mile trip to Salina. Once we arrived, the mechanic got started right away and even volunteered to work on his day off in order to get us home more quickly. Savannah also helped us find (and drove us to) a hotel, staying in contact with us over the days we were there to make sure we were taken care of. There are not enough words to describe how appreciative we are of everything they did for us.

I had an amazing experience at this shop.Crystal in the front office and her husband Chesra the main shop mechanic give the feel of a mom and pop shop but with the benefit of the AAMCO quality and warranties.They let me stay in my camper van in their parking lot while I waited for parts to arrive.I spent a few days observing how they do business and I’m extremely impressed with their honesty, technical knowledge, and kindness.You’ll get fair prices, great quality work, and no BS at this shop. Can’t recommend it enough.Thank you both for everything, seriously blessed to have found you. Getting stuck and changing plans sucks, but you helped me keep a positive attitude through it. We were driving through town from Denver on our way to Arkansas when our check engine light came on. AAMCO got us in immediately and checked everything out. They were knowledgeable and friendly- even standing in the rain to look at our engine. In less than fifteen minutes we were back in our way.

Stranded 8 hours from home and 7 hours from our destination. My vehicle became unsafe to drive due to the wheel barring going out. Jeep wanted to charge 750 for parts (some that weren’t even broken). AAMCO fit us into their schedule and stayed late to work on my car to get my family back on the road. Great customer service and tech who went out of their way to help get me back on the road and safely! Thank you !

I just want to say how great it was to work with Krystal and her husband at the AAMCO in Salina! Our truck needed a tune up and our transmission fixed. Before anything was done we were told how bad the damage was and how much it was going to cost us. They kept us updated on the truck and everything was done on time as promised. Went in for a brake check. Was told I needed new brakes and rotors in the front “NOW” and new brakes in the rear very soon. They didn’t show me. I took my vehicle to a shop I trust and was told I still had at least 5,000 miles on the front breaks, did not need new rotors, and the rear brakes had years left. They showed me the parts replaced and they looked fine. Would not recommend Amoco.

I broke down in Kansas while on my way to begin my honeymoon. Not only did they take care of us, but kept us notified every step of the way without interfering with us enjoying our wonderful weekend. I couldnt have gotten luckier with where I broke down. If you need help give this place a call! You will not be disappointed.

This shop and its people have bent over backwards to help me and my family in our time of need. Long story short, while moving across the country, my car threw a transmission and broke down in Salina because our dealership messed up a service that was done before we prior to us leaving. Krystal (spelling) truly treated us like a part of her family during this time and went above and beyond any expectations I had of a mechanic shop. Not only did she keep me updated on what was wrong with my car and what was being done to fix it, she kept detailed records and took pictures of the transmission in case we needed it for our lawsuit against the dealership. Without her and her amazing shop, I would have worried myself sick and lost my mind over the whole situation. She treated me with respect, was honest and didnt beat around the bush about costs, went out of her way to help me get my car back in my possession and most importantly, she made it her personal responsibility to see my situation rightfully resolved. I cannot say enough good things about her and AAMCO and I can promise you we wont take any vehicle of our anywhere else.

Best customer service!! My family and I were passing through Kansas staying at a family home in the middle of no where. Of course that means we have car trouble. Called Crystal at the last minute on a Friday and they got is in first thing the next morning. Lo and behold it was our transmission (as we suspected) and we were carless for a while. They were so kind and not only gave is a ride back home but brought our car to us when it was finished as we were stuck in the country with no transportation. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone :)

My truck broke down stranding me. I wasnt able to get any repair shop to help. I called, but couldnt get through to AAMCO. Then the manager called me back. She said they could repair my truck. I had it towed there and they immediately gave me the analysis of what was wrong. They followed this with a quick cost estimate. They then fixed my car within days. I cannot tell you how much they helped me. I was stranded with no help and they took over and got the truck fixed quickly and right on the bid they gave me. My truck runs great and I drove it five hours home. If you have a broken vehicle this is the place to take it. They are fast, efficient, and most of all helpful.

I was traveling for thanksgiving when my transmission light came on a few miles out of Salina, KS and limped it into the city. After staying in a hotel till Monday I found that most of the auto shops were overbook and unable to even look. I was able to right in to be seen. At first an attempt was being made to rebuild but a part was discontinued by ford so the only option was to buy a new transmission. I checked with ford and they couldnt even get the transmission for 30 days.They got the transmission in late the next day but continued to work on it way beyond closing and into the late night/morning in order to get it out by thanksgiving day. Even on thanksgiving day when I had issue with it idling slow they came out to check the issue and the problem patched up quickly for me to be able to continue on my journey and see my family for the holiday.

I highly recommend this place. My nephew truck broke down while in town and we needed it fixed on a Saturday they stayed late to get it worked out for us. We will definitely use them again in the future

About two weeks ago, the dreaded Check Engine light came on in my 2003 Ford Taurus. This has been an exceptional car with a sentimental value attached, as it had been my fathers car. The Check Engine light had never come on before - ever!I thought the worst, but hoped for the best. I ended up calling Aamco of Salina because the reviews were full of praise regarding mechanical expertise and friendly customer service. Anyway, I thought the problem could very well be the catalytic converter because of the age of the car.As it turned out because of Chesres thoroughness, the car required a tune up, and major engine flush, etc. The car was kept overnight as they were very busy, but Cristal was so accommodating in providing me a ride home that I did not feel put out at all.Cristal and Chesre are the strongest husband and wife team in the auto repair field in Salina, Kansas.Bravo, Cristal and Chesre!

Broke down on I70 outside of Salina. The tow company recommended this place and dropped my car there. They did a great job of getting me back on the road ASAP. The manager was very courteous and up front with all the work needed and associated costs. I was en route to a wedding when my driveshaft broke in half and destroyed my transmission and transfer case. By end of business the next day I was back on the road with rebuilt transmission, new driveshaft, and transfer case. Very satisfied with the repairs and level of customer service.

The environment was caring and they really helped us during a bad car situation and helped us get back home since we werent from salina. Never have I experienced the level of professionalism and courtesy that I received at Aamco in Salina Kansas. My son returning from hunting in Oklahoma blew the transmission outside of Salina Kansas. I called Aamco in Salina and Cristal took over. She not only towed my car to their shop at no charge, but also quickly and Efficiently diagnosed the problem and went to work. Cristal and Chesre went above and beyond the call of duty even arranging transportation from the bus stop for me coming into town, dropped me at my hotel, picked me up the following morning and had me on my way back to Colorado.
