He presented our options in an easy going manner, but obviously possessed a complete understanding of the services he was offering. We even met Ty, the detail man, on our way out, who stopped to ask me pointed questions about the window tinting we were adding on, just to make sure I would be completely satisfied. I bought from Long McArthur even though I live in WI, because of Derek Lee and Dan Penner. I shopped at 3 area dealers and none of them offered what Long McArthur was offering, which was a better trade, shipping my truck to me, taking my trade back, and most importantly, the best customer service Ive ever had from a dealer. Using Long McArthur it took from May 20 to July 19 for Ford to build my new truck, when many other dealers were waiting 3-8 months for their orders. Long MAcArthur was a few hundred dollars more for my new F150, but I was willing to pay that for the way I was treated. I may never buy a new vehicle locally anymore! Took my van in to be serviced. Told sway bars needed to be replaced. Waited 2 weeks for part. 2nd time they replaced sway bars and found the alternator and engine mount needed replacement. Took back 3rd time in a little over a month to have that done for a total of $1300.00+! Then my back axle breaks 11 days later! The axles on my yr, make and model have been recalled but not my vin? There is a TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN that covers vehicles with axle issues but only if FORD agrees to include my vehicle on the recall list! Two weeks later and I am still waiting for a decision. I was lucky that my axle did not break while going 70 to 80 on the interstate!! But how many other vehicles are out there with axles that could break too? Are you or someone you love driving on the road with one? Could the driver next to you have one? Why wasnt I told that there was an issue with axles in all of the times I have had it serviced? Never going to Long McCarther again! Never getting a Ford again!! Never

Great experience! We purchased the vehicle online and did everything else over the phone as we are out of state. They even met us half way with the vehicle so we did not have to drive so far.

Asked a tremendous amount of money to fix my vehicles problem, so I declined repairs and was surprised with a $57 bill in the mail a month later. While they must be doing something right to stay in business, I can only expect they choose to deal with a small number of customers who are willing to pay substantially higher than normal prices.Update after response:Typically, payment is expected when services are rendered. Sending a bill weeks after the fact (and after Ive taken my vehicle away) is not a good business practice. I wouldnt be annoyed by this if I were simply told I owed money at the time instead of being blindsided.

Staff was super kind and helpful plus they managed to fit us in immediately when our transit van conversion broke down just outside of town. The entire process was great up until the end. When they were test driving my van to make sure everything was working correctly they managed to lose one of my front wheel simulators (like a fancy hubcap) and refused to replace it or even refund me the price of the part. They claimed it was a $50 part and gave me part numbers to order it myself. Got to where I was going and looked up the part number and they gave me the wrong number. Turns out to replace the wheel simulator will cost me close to $200 not $50. Ive called several times to talk to the head of the service department and each time I get a answering machine and never a call back.TLDR: stopped for repairs, they lost a part of my van while test driving it, refused to refund or replace the part they lost, no reply from dealership.

I emailed on a $70k GMC Denali that I was interested in and Alicia called me back. I asked if they were firm on the price and she beat it around the bush. So I asked again and with an attitude she says they just put it on the lot. Why have an attitude when someone asks if you are firm on your price? Must not need to sell! Not the person I would want representing my company. ✌️

The lack of customer care within the service department is extremely sad. 3 weeks ago I was told a part for my vehicle would be ordered and would come in in the next couple of days. 3wks later and no update I call and it came in yesterday. I have to have it scheduled with a recall that has been highlighted which will take 3-4hrs in the body shop. My time at the deanship (an hour away from home) is looking at 4-5 hrs not including staff lunch breaks. When I asked if there was a possibility of having a courtesy car, as my husband is deployed and I have elementary school age children to get to and from school the response was well the whole country is having a problem and we just cant guarantee a car for you! So I guess because of a Ford recall I have to wait in a dealership for over 5hrs! Makes no sense whatsoever. Thanks for not helping a military spouse out! I will take my business elsewhere once the work has been conducted.

Awesome service from the salesperson, Lonnie Smith. He listened to my concerns regarding a used vehicle we were looking at. And addressed them all.

Went to get new tires installed and they put the larger 285 tires in the front and the smaller 255 tires on the back told them beforehand not to do this…. Also tried to explain to them the rims are different sizes and they said they are all the same. Now the tires are bulging off of the rims because they got the rims switched around. What a mess.

We are currently on the road crossing the country from Oregon to Florida, towing a trailer, I’m pregnant, we have a toddler, and we are on our way to drop off my husband at Tyndall AFB for his training. Our Ford’s starter went out at a rest stop near Salina and we needed to get towed in. DNR (who were amazing to work with) recommended we stop at Long to get the work done because they would take care of us. We were hopeful after our 10 hour driving day that they would help us as best as they could. We had to stay in the camper with no air, no food, and no water over night. When we woke up (well we didn’t exactly sleep) we went in and spoke with the service manager. We told him our situation and how my husband needed to report to the base by Monday so it was extremely important we got the work done as quick as we could so we could get back on the road. He was quick to tell us he had nothing available until Wednesday and we were SOL. We were very surprised as Ford customers for over 60 years to be told “every customer has a sob story I can’t push you to the front of the line”. He was even reluctant to refer us out to another shop that could help us. A bit later he finally gave us a referral to a shop in town called Oards. They were fantastic to work with. Got us in and out of their shop within 2 hours. We were happy that we were able to give Oards our business.

At first we liked this dealership, we had a good salesman..but with three quarter ton diesel pickups being in low supply, we only had a limitedOption to pick from. We physically liked the pickup but wanted a better package as we drove the better package in a gas but we need diesel, the salesman tried to sale us on the cheaper package in that pickup by having the sales manager talk to us.. which was just awkward, there was a lack of personality and really no reason for us to talk to the sales manager since we werent interested but we would have been back if they got something we liked in.. but now they keep having this lady call us and see if we are still interested in a pickup, we have told the same lady 4-5 different times that we already bought a pickup else where and that we don’t need one but she keeps calling. They lost future business from us because of the annoyance. We will be sure to tell anyone who mentions going there.

Driving from Denver to Houston a piece of front bumper trim came loss and was dragging on the ground. We stopped at the Long MacArthur dealership and in 15 minutes they removed the offending piece and sent us on our way with no charge. Ford World Headquarters should be very proud of the dealership in Salina KS. They and others like them are the reason our family owns three Ford Vehicles. This not your typical car dealership in any fashion. I was in the search for a Saleen mustang and ran across Long McArthur via the web . Form the very first phone call I could tell these people actually care and not trying to pressure you into a car .Being out of state was not a problem at all and was shocked how easy it was to get a deal done. These guys are top notch from the receptionist, salesman all the way to finance just a great group of people . While we were happy with the vehicles we purchased we have not been happy with the dishonestly that went into both deals.My husband bought a car, a week after he got a call saying the bank wanted more info before they could work with him. This is not ok! because of the paperwork mixup his first payment was late.We decided to give them another try and went to trade our car in for a Flex. We made a deal with how the trade would go and started signing papers (this took 4 hrs plus we had a 3hr drive to get there). By the time we got to the last bit of paperwork we were exhausted (our two year old son was hungry and ready to go). My husband looks at the papers and it was not at all what we had agreed to (and had signed to agree on)they had agreed to give a certain amount for our car and were not keeping their deal.The payments were still within our budget and we had already switched everything over from our old car to the new one. We had spent the whole day at the dealership so we ended up buying the flex anyway. We aren’t very happy though knowing the way we were treated my husband feels so stupid and that’s not how these things should go. Lesson learned on our part we will reread everything twice even after signing to an agreement.

Me being a truck driver after seeing this they treat truck drivers as a second class citizens will never come back to this dealership.

I had been talking to dealerships for several weeks looking for a new lease and was exhausted from getting jerked around and salesmen not listening to my needs. I had a very specific budget to stick to and it seemed like everyone didnt care. Finally I got in touch with Kyle Davis at Long McArthur and it was an entirely different experience. He respected my needs, they gave me a more than fair value for my trade, and were very straightforward with me. I felt like they actually listened to me which felt like a new experience. I drove over an hour up from Wichita to get my new lease and would happily do it again. The two Ford dealers in Wichita tried to use me to play against each other while still not listening to what I actually wanted and needed, whereas Long McArthur was all about me. I highly recommend them and will send whoever I can their way.

I got a good car at a good price. The hassle of trying to deal with this dealership is not worth the money that you might save. They need to do a better job of preparing the vehicle and delivering it.

Friendly staff and a decent experience. One of the largest automotive lots in the area. Although the staff was friendly, the prices are high, the trade-in values are low/moderate, and the staff is extremely pushy. I went to test drive a 2014 Chrysler 300C and they just wouldnt let me leave without getting my information. Dont get me wrong, the staff was knowledgeable and very respectful, but so eager to make a sale. Overall its decent, I would be willing to go back if there was a good enough deal.EDIT: 2.5/5 stars. Im only giving 3 stars as they have a large quantity and always treated me as a potential customer, even though I am young; however, Ive had friends and family with poor experiences. Not sure how I feel anymore.

We worked with Lonnie and he was very nice, wasn’t that typical pushy salesman. Wouldn’t provide false facts, he would check on anything that we weren’t sure on so it was always accurate. Also, great deal on our trade in.
