Best place in the area. Very trustworthy and remembers his customers. Cant say more than 5 star worthy. It is just him so he gets busy quick but he works with each customer to meet their needs. I will continue to go to him for as long as he is open.

This review is long overdue. I had Dave do a valve adjustment on my dl650 and also sync the throttle bodies. He charged me less than half of what the dealer would have. He did a way better job than the dealer because he actually adjusted my valves, even the ones that werent out of spec so they were set for many more thousands of miles. The dealer would have checked them and left the ones alone that were in Spec even if they were barely in-spec and I would have been paying to do it again the next year. His attention to detail is second to none. If it takes him a little while to get your project done its because he is backlogged because people in the know take their stuff to him. Dont slam him because you want to drop your bike off today and get it back tomorrow. Even if you have to wait a while he is worth the wait.

I took my YZ 250 to Aaron at BHP Motosports twice for a top end rebuild and both times the motor grenaded almost immediately while out on the trails. I gave Dave my sob story and he was nice enough to offer to rebuild the top and bottom end for a slightly discounted labor price plus parts. I dropped my bike off right before heading on a week long snowboarding trip and told Dave when I would arrive back in town. He called me the day after I got home and informed me that my bike was finished. Excellent timing! I have put about 20 hours on the bike since the rebuild without any issues at all. Thank you Dave!

I own several bikes that my sons ride and ride hard. I bring them all to Dave for everything from total rebuilds to the little tricky stuff that drives you crazy and he does it all. If you have looked around for a good shop you already know they are few and far between you also know when you find one it will be busy, Dave’s shop is busy. The comforting thing is Dave does it all it won’t be handed off to sone rookie to practice on. Dave does good work and stands by it he is also honest enough to tell you if he is not the one to be fixing your bike or if it isn’t worth fixing even if that isn’t what you want to hear. I am happy to recommend his business to all.

Dave is wonderful. Ive been in town a few months and he was highly recommended by multiple people. Dave has a wide range of hands on knowledge and if theres a job he cant do then hell give other options or flat out recommend someone else. Such was the case with the body work I needed after a lowside. He fixed what was needed and striped my fairings and gas tank so Auto Body Dynamics could fix them then replaced everything and ordered missing decals. He did that and regular maintenance for me which I will continue to go to him for.

I have a 1989 Honda Hawk, so finding someone who can work on it and find parts is difficult. Dave has been a godsend. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about his craft, he will also take the time to go through with you what needs attention, why its a concern/needs replacement, what wear and tear to look for specifically for your bike, and what can be left alone for a bit. In addition, if he cant do something, he most likely knows someone in the industry who can and will point you in their direction (which is super helpful, the upholstery lady he sent my saddle to did a phenomenal job!). He truly cares about the machines he works on and the people who ride them.Thanks Dave!

I have been coming to Dave for a lot of years. I started coming to him about 3 or 4 months after he 1st opened up. I continue to send new customers his way Because of the excellent work he does at excellent prices he does. I have sent probablie 10 to 12 new customers his way. They all feel the exact same way I do. I will always continue to go to Dave for all my work on my sport bike. Dave is honest reliable does out standing work in great prices. He remembers me every time I come in. he remembers me every time my friends mention me. This is a type of mechanic I can and will trust with my sport bike.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! I thought this place closed down, but astoundingly its still around. I brought my bike to Dave years ago for some battery/wiring/carb issues. He told me my bike would be ready in a couple weeks which was fine. Well a couple weeks turned into a couple months. After a month I came to find out he hadnt even looked at my bike. 2 months and over $1,000 later, I brought my bike home all to find out the problems were still there and when I contacted Dave about the issues he didnt attempt to make things right and told me if I brought it back he would have to charge me. This guy is the only one who works at his shop and bites off way more than he can chew. Im sure at one point he was a decent mechanic, but those days are long gone. If you want someone who is going to be honest, responsive, and professional look elsewhere. If you want someone with poor communication skills who will lie and rip you off, come here

Dave is very honest and knowledgeable about motorcycles. He not only does great work, but also is happy to help give me advice or guideance when I try to tackle a repair on my own. His prices are the cheapest around and he has several years of experience.The only downside to using Dave is that because he is only one guy, his popularity and return customer volume often has him flooded and overwhelmed with repairs, so it can take a while for him to get to yours if he is really backed up.Simply the best mechanic I have ever found, plenty of knowledge he is happy to share any time I have questions. His quality work and prices are second to none.

Dave was really easy to work with. Had to get a front tire replaced on my bike. Dropped the tire off at his shop late one afternoon and returned with my bike the next morning to get it installed. He worked the installation into his schedule so I was able to get my tires installed before I headed into work. I was able to get in and out in about 30 minutes.Dave does good work without the nonsense and sales pitch I often get at dealerships. Will definitely be going back to Dave when the back tires wear out.

Dave is a straight-forward pro. Gave me good work for a good price. As a 1 man shop he doesnt waste any time and gets right to the problem.

I brought Dave a mess of my carburetors to re- assemble. He told me its going to be 3-4 weeks which I was fine with. After 4 weeks and hearing nothing from him, I called to find out the status. All he said was I havent even looked at them. Another 2 weeks passed so I went in to check up. He barely even acknowledged I was there when I asked if he has been able to look at my carbs. His answer was nope so I said Ill just take them. He replies I figured that would happen. I told him all he had to do was tell me he didnt want to work on them. He goes youll have better luck finding a used set on Ebay. Why didnt he just tell me that in the first place? He didnt care at all that he wasted 6 weeks of my time. I honestly cant think of a more unprofessional business Ive ever been to. Im sure hes a decent mechanic if you can put up with his attitude, and lack of integrity.

Dave did a 10/10 job on my bike. He was the only shop in Sac/Roseville area that would take my rim off the bike, change the tire and put it back on at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Very impressed, I will definitely be back.

He is the most honest and fair motorcycle mechanic around!! I can’t begin to count they amount of times he has dropped what he was doing to help me over the phone or in person. Called at 5:50 and got a response from somebody. They said Motorworks. In a friendly tone, I said Hello, Im just calling for a fast quote. He said Go ahead. I said, Id like to know how much youd charge to rewire a 1980 Xj650. In a sarcastic ass rude manner, he said I wouldnt even approach it. Try somebody else. And hung up the phone. Do you guys really think youll have a successful business if you cant be friendly on the phone? Earned yourself a bad review and you just threw potential business away

Called to get tires installed. when no other one would help . Dave came thru got me rolling sameday.

I dropped my bike off couldnt get an exact date which was totally fine. But after i call him 3 days later to see what progress was made. My calls were ignored for the day then when he finally returned my call his answer is it hasnt even been a week. At that very moment i realized i waisted my time hauling the bike down there. Not to mention the day i brought my bike in for the work to be done he didnt greet me or help unload my bike. That was the very first mistake i knew i made taking it to him. After reading these previous reviews of Davids shop I brought my bike in for a front and rear tire mount and balance. David did the job in just a few hours and charged $50 less than the local dealership quoted me. Also the dealership service department told me they would probably get to it tomorrow. David checked my bike over and showed me the front fork seal was leaking. Ill be letting David do that job soon.

Hard to find, easy to work with. Worth the hunt for basic tire changes and oil changes on a Harley, but NOT A HARLEY SHOP. Good work, fast and reasonably priced.

Ive had Dave work on 2 of my bikes in the past year. he had no problem rebuilding the carb on my old Honda XR200 but when it came to issues with my Polaris 800x2 with EFI he misdiagnosed the issue several times charging me each time citing it was different issues. Each time it never ran more than 15 minutes. The last time repaired he said the youtube video recommended something other than what he did as it would be too costly. After explaining to him i rode it for 5 minutes before sputtering and jerking when i literally lost control and ran it down an embankment into a tree he states you need to take it to the dealer and tells me Im full of s#@t. Hes lucky i dont sue him. Clearly he is challenged with new model bikes. Before he hung up on me i asked what codes was the bike giving him when he had it and his comment was... i didnt know it guves you codes.... OMG... Backyard mechanic at best. ... just my opinion

Dave is fair, reasonably priced, and does quality work. First brought in a Yamaha WR-250F dirt bike that hadnt been running for a couple of seasons. He completely rebuilt the carb and cleaned all the fuel lines for a fraction of what Id been quoted at other area shops. Ive since had him work on my Yamaha VStar 1100, which runs like a top! Dave is friendly and professional, and above all, doesnt quote or ring up charges for unnecessary work.Trust is big in the business, and he definitely has earned mine!
