I was in last week and cant say enough good and positive things about this Visionworks. The staff was so nice and went out of their way to make sure I was using my insurance to fit what I needed most. I wear contacts and glasses and showed me the best route to go so I could get both! Selection was amazing, process was fast and thorough! I would recommend this location and I will be back to bring my other daughter next week!
I recently purchased my first pair of prescription sunglasses and am beyond pleased with the service I have received. I had been on the hunt and ended up going with them because they had the best selection of sunglasses. The original woman who helped me was so friendly and helpful. When it came time to pick them up, there was a mix up and the associate (Cameron) quickly corrected the problem so I could leave with them that day. I just had to go back today because I messed up the frames and Cameron was there again.. and once again, he resolved my issue without hesitation. I work in customer service and honestly its hard to come by good, genuine, friendly service these days.. but this store certainly has it. I will continue to use them for all of my vision needs :)
Visionworks did a great job helping me out! The associate knew just what to do and how to maximize my benefits with insurance and to compare it with their BOGO sale. He took care of all my glasses needs with no problem. Great experience!
Ordered contacts over a month and half ago and have yet to receive them. At the time of ordering the contacts it was estimated I would receive them 2 weeks from the date they were ordered. Month and a half later and have received nothing. I called the store and after being hung up on after being on hold for 7 minutes I called back only to be told per protocol they were sent to the store first and then mailed to me. I understand delays can happen but a month and half with no communication and a poor explanation makes me wonder if this place is a scam. Save your money and time, go somewhere else.
Good customer service. But the problem I had was they said with how strong my lens are I have to get all the upgrades ( scratch, glare proof and the special type of lens etc) which I can understand the lens type. For the cheapest pair of glasses “59.99”and some ray bans sunglasses “around $250” and having one of the best vision insurance they quoted me $600 outta pocket for both pairs. Told them I do not want all the upgrades but was told I have too. Told them I’d go somewhere else and was told it was gonna be the same everywhere else. Went to vision pearl down the street and got more expensive glasses $179 and some ray bans for around $240 with only the upgrades I wanted ( the special type of lens and glare proof and darker tent to the sunglasses. After insurance outta pocket was $400. I was told that most likely visionworks was only using part of my insurance and that’s why they were quoting $600 and she doesn’t understand why they quoted so high because my insurance is really good. I’d just say to either change the system and not charge for every upgrade on glasses. Not sure if that’s just the system or the sells lady was doing it herself.
What a GREAT EXPERIENCE !!!!!! The customer service I received was outstanding & I was not rushed at all. I was greeted warmly @ the door, temperature was taken & appreciated that masking was in effect & handed a tray of which to put the glasses I wished to try on in for later UV sanitation before being placed back on display. Measurements were taken & the guy ( name is blank right now thru no fault of his ) taking care of me offered to call another store to Ck on the coloring option of the tortoise glasses I picked which wasn’t needed but appreciated. He even had a couple waiting specifically for him and most of whom I saw waiting were in the optometrist office next door with me so this location is premier. These people need a raise with such caring & passion noted !!!!

My husband and I had an excellent experience at the Rockwell Visionworks thanks to Brittany and James. Their expertise and knowledge base was evident while providing excellent customer service. They took time to explain things, provide suggestions and were so patient in doing so. It was so evident that there was great team work and support with all three of the staff. We were at the store the afternoon of 11/11. Kudos and tremendous thanks and appreciation to both of them!!

Still havent received my glasses that I paid for 3 weeks ago. I tried to check the status it cant find my order. I called up there Saturday and I was told to call back Wednesday and they would be in for sure NOPE. I hope the customer service improves and I receive my order and its correct.

Needed to get some contacts for my son since his contacts prescription hadn’t come in the mail yet and Kat (Vision Works employee) was so sweet and helpful by going above and beyond for us in a pinch. She didn’t have to but she did and I really appreciate her. Excellent customer service!!!
The store was great. But the reason i’m giving this a one star is because the older woman Tj i believe that was her name, was so god awful rude i don’t know how she works in customer service. she not once greeted us when we walked in, didn’t ask if my son & i needed help, could hear her making remarks about the previous customer i assume she was helping before we walked in. That is not acceptable what so ever. I also notice as more people walked in she didn’t greet anyone or offer help just like she did to us. i will be going to corporate about this because never have i been into a store that just felt bad walking into.

This was a great experience for my entire family! We all needed glasses and TJ was wonderful, very polite, patient and engaging. She helped us understand what insurance would or would not cover and she did everything with a smile on her face. We will continue to use visionworks Rockwall as long as they have employees like TJ!
I ordered my glasses over 2 weeks ago but I understand that the Winter Storm probably set a few things behind so it didnt bother me so thats why its not a 5, the staff was EXTREMELY nice and very cooperative, helped me pick out a pair that I loved and so did the wife. Will be recommending them
I had been using Vision works in Rockwall for years because it’s one of the places that accepts my insurance. I never had a problem with them before until this time Jan 2020. They got my order wrong 3 times and the older causian lady that works there is extremely rude. I won’t be returning or using them again ! Don’t take chances with your vision its your health and unacceptable to mess up 3 times no apology no explanation, customer service definitely needs some improvement
I love coming here my entire family of 6 wears glasses. They know me really well. My fav employee is TJ, she always makes me feel at home and ask about my family. I come here because of her and her amazing service.
My 12 year old and I had a very distressing time here. The lady was very rude from the moment we walked in the door. We waited 15 min even though we had an appointment which I didnt mine but when she finally called us over she pointed her temp checker at us like a gun. I would not recommend this location. We left without being seen. This was on 1/2/21

Came in right after my vision exam next door. The staff available were all so kind. I’m one of those people that try on so many pairs before making a decision but right now they have to clean each pair after being tried on so I was being very cautious of not handling a lot of pairs. The staff was so friendly, said it was not a problem, and even started pulling some for me as well.I did not find a pair I liked, which has happened before, but I just come back at a later time and they have different pairs. I keep coming back to this location - there’s always different staff but never a bad experience. Thank you!😀

Visionworks has a great selection of eyewear. Doug helped us with glasses for my two teenagers. Very easy process, and Doug was very helpful. There was no high pressure sales job to try to sell me on the scratch resistant coating or the anti-glare coating. He made me aware of the benefits of both, but knew I was on a budget and let me make my own decision. I’ve never experienced that before! And their service was fast! We ordered on Tuesday and both pairs were in by Thursday. And their prices were so reasonable compared to Target. I saved about $200 over Target. I highly recommend Visionworks!

I have bought all my glasses and contacts from this location since around 2003 and a was always happy, until last and this year. Last year I had to send glasses back, when I got them back they still were not right but was stuck with them. In the past they have always been knowledgeable about insurance plans but this year no one seemed to know anything, not sure if there is a lot of turnover or lack of training but not spending my money there. I went to another local eye glass retailer and got a great deal without insuance...will not be back.
Visionworks Rockwall is the best! The staff is super friendly and makes your visit quick & painless. Doug is awesome and takes great care of us. My whole family bought glasses from him this month! Go see them!

Went in as a new customer to get glasses and the older lady (didnt catch her name) was so rude! She kept looking me up and down and had an attitude as I told her what I was looking for. She did not take me seriously at all. As I was walking out, I heard her being friendly with another customer. Why did I not receive the same treatment or even same tone of voice?!? I left unhappy and will NEVER step foot in there ago. I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone.
Very friendly staff. Great service! The quality of frames and lab work is poor. The $179 frames were very cheap. My lens keep falling out. The frames were so out of square they had to be bent to the point of causing severe pain to the top of my right ear. And I can see better out of my old pair. I will be taking them back and hopefully getting a refund. If not this will just be a $300 learning experience, “You get what you pay for”
I received some of the best customer service at Rockwall Tx Visionworks from Supervisor Twana (TJ) B, that I have ever had. While I was getting fitted for glasses I told TJ that I was having issues with my optometrist and their staff getting me fitted for contacts. TJ, without me asking, went above and beyond to get me a sample pair that fit me perfectly. She made my experience wonderful and would definitely recommend her to anyone needing glasses or contacts. Excellent employee!

Way overpriced $400 for one pair of glasses. Went to Americas Best got a pair for $130 with poly, antiglare and anti scratch and 1 year warranty.
Just got my new no-line bifocals and they’re so much better than what I’ve been wearing. They call it their digital no-line and wow what a difference. New customer for life.

As luck would have it I suddenly had an issue with my glasses that was of no fault of my own, and even with an expired warranty they still took care of me. There must have been a change in staff because these folks actually know the meaning of good customer service!! Visionworks has earned my business back!! Went and bought glasses with my husband. Mine were okay, his were not. His lenses were scratched. We have spent the last 8 weeks trying to get them replaced. No one is ever available to put the lenses in. We call weekly, but he works third shift so can only come on Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Now, the frames are falling apart. We wont be. Ack. There isnt enough warranty to cover these pains.

Will never go to Vision Works again. This is the second time that Ive used Vision works, and both times my order for glasses have not come in on time. Not only did the order not come in on time, but there was no communication to say that it had been delayed. Very Poor customer service, and I will be going else where from now on.

My name is Sonny. As it is come the time for me to require glasses, Visionworks came highly recommended as a place to get some. I worked most closely with TJ and Doug at this particular location. I did have a couple of minor problems with my doctors prescription in the beginning, but both TJ and Doug went well above and beyond to try to satisfy my needs. Now I could not be more happy with my glasses and I would highly recommend anyone using these guys for your vision needs! They are all about Customer Service! Kudos to TJ and Doug!

I normally only post reviews for companies that do a good job. Even if you are about to go blind, keep driving. First my prescription was so off it gave me a headache and nausea. I ended up going to pick up or have glasses replaced 6 times in the store. Most of those times one person was working, and so the wait time was up to 20 minutes, and each time I saw customers give up and leave - angry.
Very disappointed with Visionworks this time around. Ive been a loyal customer and have gone there for at least the last 7-8 years. Staff is friendly and I have always received my glasses that day or within three days. This time they told me up to 10. Its now 12 and I have had to call TWICE, they still are not in.I supposedly talked to the manager(?), Doug, Monday who said he would call me back regarding the delay and why my lenses were back ordered...no call. I ended up calling back two days later (today). The woman didnt know what day it was then informed me there was a backlog due to their sale which I was supposed to be informed of...I was NOT informed if I am calling.It has become very apparent, customer service doesnt exist anywhere anymore.
The most horrible experience i have ever had buying glasses. They are way overpriced plus my glasses got lost in mail through u.p.s. It took me 3 weeks to get my glasses. Never again. Go someplace else. Save yourself alot of money and grief.
I have been a client at Visionworks for many years and have known the manager, Doug Hensel, since 2005, following him to this Visionworks location since his earlier days working at the brand’s Firewheel Mall store. The staff at the Rockwall store are all equally attentive, friendly, polite, and above all very knowledgeable about their craft, taking great care to meet the needs of their customers. Should Mr. Hensel ever be relocated to another branch store, one can be sure I will be close behind him. Why might one ask? Quite simply put, after working with me year to year adjusting my new frames to my liking and achieving a perfect fit, I’m not about to go to some other optical shop to start from scratch with someone who might not have the patience to work with such a fastidious client as I categorize myself. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙌🏼😁

Terrible, worst customer service ever! The Rockwall, Tx store try to run my mother in laws bank card several times and for whatever reason it was working. I’m not quit sure how they were able to charge her bank acct 4xs but they took almost $800 and left her with $12 and while we and my MIL were out shopping her card was declined at a store she frequents. She was absolutely mortifyied and upset and I felt so bad for her. So we get into her mobile bank acct to checkout was the issue or if there was one and we can see that Vision Works charged her 4xs and probably tried charging her more than that. They had almost $800 come out of her acct right before she was getting ready to go on a trip out of state. We obviously wanted to get it fixed right away but they were closed already of course. So as soon as my MIL could the next day and once this place opened she went in and talked to the ladies in there and it wasn’t the person whose charged her card over the phone but bottom line it was another employee young lady in there who told us they only could see 1 charge and that it was my mother in laws responsibility to go to her bank and have them sort it out. My MIL left the store very stressed and called us because she didn’t know what to do so I had us go in right then there together and see what was going on. The gal who greeted us never got up or anything just said hi and proceeded to ask what she could do for us since she had recognized my mother in law from just seeing her a bit earlier. I told the employee what my understanding was and she said in a very condescending tone while giving my mother in law a look, @I know she and I talked and she’s gonna take care of it”. MEANING this was my MIL’s job to fix this companies mistake!! Unbelievable! I was like so....you guys made a mistake and that’s ok things happen we understand that but you’re not worried about your customer and you’re just gonna sit here and tell me it’s up to her to get her bank to fix your issue?! The bank isn’t gonna give you back money because another company over charges you! The girl still never acted like it was their problem or fault and wasn’t gonna do a dang thing about it! I was just beside myself. I immediately upon hearing her reaction to my questions asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager wasn’t gonna be there until early he next day and again if my MIL wanted to have them do anything she would have to come back then. At that point and time I raised my voice yes and finally said you are gonna help her and fix this! I explained $800 is a lot of money to anyone and I’m sure it’s a lot to you too and why are you acting like this is ok and no big deal?!!! I again demander her to help and do something like get up and call your manager. I know I asked her to do that at least 2 or 3 times and finally this person threw her arms up and she I’m not dealing with this I’ll call him right now and she did thank goodness! When the employee came back and had spoken to her manager we all calmed down and apologized for getting upset at one another and the employee explained she had not had a good morninga nd didn’t feel well and explained my MIL had had a horrible week and she was feeling so stressed and we all said sorry but this was the worst case of it’s not my job or fault I had ever witnessed and I was very unhappy and upset for my MIL. Today late in the afternoon my MIL shows up surprisingly while trying to run a million errands before she leaves the next day and VISION WORKS calls her and they didn’t know I was standing right there outside her car and they were on speaker and they had the nerve to put a guilt trip on her and say I sent the employee we dealt with to the hospital for pregnancy complications. I could not believe what I was hearing???! Again we heard no sorry ma’am this happened $800 is a lot of money or ma’am this was completely not normal for us and It won’t happen again and we value you as a customer. It was blame us for upsetting their employee don’t worry about them upsetting their customer by draining her acct! Wow!😡

Got a pair of glasses from Visionworks and they had scratches on them. Went back and the manager blamed me and said I did something wrong. Made a complaint to the company. Got a call today that my glasses were remade and I can come get them. I was never told they were being remade, but I was like thats cool. I went with high hopes to get the remade pair. I examined the lenses right there at visionworks to make sure there were no scratches, and what do you know, they were covered in scratches. I did not accept the glasses, nor did I ever receive an apology for the first time around when I was actually rudely blamed for the scratches on the first pair. I was told they will look into the situation, but the assistant manager said she doesnt actually know how to look into it or contact the manufacturer which did not leave me with much hope. That place is ridiculous. And the last two times I went in there (Today and the day that I originally complained) I observed the staff and realized they are not knowledgable about glasses at all. I asked the lady to give me back my original scratched up pair to take home with me, so I could leave the newly remade scratched up pair there. The lady was like Oh you can take this new pair instead. and I was like no, I want the old pair, whats the difference when they are both scratched up? Well there is one difference, the old pair has small scratches all over in different places, and the new one has one giant scratch across the middle of the lense and a few small ones. I figured if I had to wear scratched glasses I wanted the one without the giant line in the center of my vision. Im not holding my breath for them to fix the situation. Lesson learned. Dont use Visionworks. Wasted my 2016 insurance on this...insurance coverage that I cant get back.
