Bought my 2011 GTI from a private seller so it never really got the “dealership treatment” pre-purchase so I handed it over to Total Recon. The car looks brand new! I went in for a full detail and they were even able to buff out a side swipe mark from the previous owner(s), amazing work 10/10 recommend.

This place is amazing. I dont have enough good things to say about Total Recon. In a bind, we discovered Total Recon through Google. When we got there, Bobby and his team were friendly, reassuring, accommodating and communicative - and they went above and beyond in their repairs, all in record time, at a fair price. We live 200 miles away and will never take our car anywhere else.

System was down, so couldnt get an estimate. No exchange of information or a business card, just told to come back another day. No matter how nice the building and how clean the waiting area, it still comes down to making the customer feel important, and I didnt get that feeling after driving quite a while in traffic. Headed East to Butchs and never regretted it. That said, Im sure these folks will do a decent job; but, I just like a family run business atmosphere where customers feel appreciated.

Total Recon Auto Center in Rockville was absolutely amazing to work with! I unknowingly filled a cracked gas canister with gas and it leaked ALL over the INSIDE of my Volvo SUV! It was horrible! I tried everything Google suggested to get the stench out but nothing worked. Im also 6 months pregnant so the smell was truly unbearable. TRAC took my car immediately, provided a rental (extremely reasonable by the way!), and said they would try their hardest to completely eliminate the smell--but was also totally upfront that it is one of the hardest odors to tackle. I usually leave everything car/grill/handy-work to my husband but he is away on military orders so I had no idea where to go or who to trust with my car. I ended up going with my gut and went all in with TRAC based on the reviews; hoping they were as awesome as everyone said. Well, THEY ARE EVEN BETTER! Amazing communication, super kind staff, and everyone I talked to or saw went above and beyond to make sure I/my car was taken care of. It was truly an incredible experience from start to finish and my car looks and SMELLS wonderful! I will definitely be back and would recommend their detailing services to anyone! I havent had to use them yet for body work, but if I ever needed it done, I will be coming here! Thank you everyone at TRAC for being SO AWESOME!

I took my car in for a detailing and sunroof leaking. They fixed the situation with the leaking sunroof as a courtesy, and did a fantastic interior detail job on my almost 10 year old car. It looks brand new, and along with the interior detailing that I paid for, returned my car with a fresh wash, wax, and tire and wheel cleaning. Very professional service, polite staff, and timely! Wanted to do something for my car for its “anniversary” and just googled for shops nearby. I found Total Recon and decided to give them a try. They have pretty high ratings but I could see why—I inquired about their Basic Conditioning service for my one year old 2019 Honda HRV on Saturday and was able to get an appointment that same Thursday. Ernesto was extremely responsive via email and was very professional upon arrival of my appointment! Brought my car in at 8am and it was done in about two hours. My car is still pretty new but somehow I felt like it looked better than when I had gotten it from the dealership! Outside and inside the vehicle was absolutely spotless. Very satisfied with this service—will definitely be my first choice again should I ever need anything done for my car. Highly recommend this place!

Took my 2015 Subaru in for a hit and run incident to my rear quarter panel. Decided to go out of pocket due to my deductible and the cost of the repair difference. Came here after a friend recommended them and could not be happier. The boys here are professional, friendly, and their work is above and beyond. And their quotes/prices are honest and not out to rob you.Work took just over a week and like they said when I dropped the car off - it was as if nothing ever happened to the car. Scratches and dent that was there...obliterated. That 3 stage paint thats a pain to blend? Say no more - blended in to perfection and there is no difference in shade at any angle. They also took care of a minor bumper lip issue at no cost. And heres the kicker...I expected them to do a quick wash but I did not expect them to do a full wash (my exhaust tips were cleaned too) AND detail the interior as well. Unreal. I live almost an hour away and very glad to have made the trip. Well worth it. Dont be tempted by that local body shop in your area...come HERE. Thank me later.

Total Recon is my Go To shop for getting body work done on my car. The front office people handle all details with my insurance company. The technicians do a great job with body work and paint. They pay attention to the little details. Theyve worked on my vehicle three times and theyve done a great job each time.

I came here to repair some damage to my car due to a recent accident. I was very impressed and happy with the accurate and detailed estimate, good communication throughout the process, professional and friendly employees, excellent price, and of course most importantly my car itself is good as new! This shop is Top Notch! I took my car here for extensive collision repair after an accident. The moment I walked in I knew Id made the right decision by choosing Total Recon. I was immediately greeted by their friendly staff at the front counter. They assured me that they would take proper care of my vehicle and to keep me updated throughout the process, and that they DID!!. Given that my vehicle had over $8k in damages, I expected for them to have it for a little while. However, being the superstars they are, they totally exceeded my expectation, and kept their promise to keep me updated. I received calls from their team throughout the time they had my car, they were sure to let me know each time my vehicle was in a different stage of the repair process. Fast forward to pick-up..... when I say they WOWED me! thats exactly what they did. My car was pristine, Im talking showroom condition. I was floored when I saw vacuum lines on the carpets. They thoroughly cleaned my car, even put all of my belongings that had been in my trunk into individual bags, just another indicator of the care that was put into the repair of my vehicle. Finally, after everything that has gone wrong with my Jeep, Total Recon is the one place that got it right. I left my Jeep for 2 months for a work trip in my garage. When I came back, I found that my Jeep wouldn’t start despite trying to jump start the battery and I had mold in the interior due to wet carpet I knew nothing about that apparently occurred before I left. Anyway, I got it towed to a dealership that was not a very good place to get it serviced (that’s another review for DARCARS dealership here in Rockville, MD) so needless to say I told them I’d rather take my Jeep to another place to have the interior taken care of. After dealing with DARCARS, I took my Jeep to Total Recon. Appointment was easy to set up via calling and the employee working the front desk was very helpful. They took good care of my vehicle and kept me updated and they even fixed my seatbelt sensor that DARCARS either messed up or failed to address after receiving from the towing service. Anyway, my JEEP is now super spiffy, no sign of mold, and looks ready for the showroom. Get your vehicle over to them for a detail and you will not be disappointed. I don’t write reviews very much but I figured I’d be doing our community a disservice if you aren’t informed about places with great services versus places that are not very helpful.

We were extremely pleased with our experience with Total Recon.  From the moment we walked in, our advisor Will Brumby put us at ease.  He explained how TR would handle the repair and how he would also deal with all of the hassles with the insurance company which served to help take away the stress we felt from the circumstances of our no-fault accident.  It was clear Will had a lot of experience working with various insurance companies over the years, so his insight was very helpful and re-assuring.  He also ensured that we got all brand new replacement parts for our Volvo which was very important to us.  He kept us informed throughout the repair process and even arranged for a loaner car at no charge.  When we went to pick up the car, we were amazed at the quality of the work – it looked fantastic – like new!  The body work and paint application was perfect!  The cherry on the top was the car detail – shiny and clean inside and out!  It’s rare these days to find a company who achieves excellent customer satisfaction and delivers quality work.  Thank you Will and all of the staff at Total Recon! I went to Total Recon after my car was damaged in a parking lot. pretty heavy damage to driver side front from a large pick up truck. I have a 3 series BMW. It is an older car but I still enjoy it. Will at Total Recon, as was the whole staff, was super friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service experience. The most important part, Will was very informative and kept me up to date on the progress of my repair. When it was finished my car looked perfect. I was very happy with the level and work and fit and finish. They also detailed my car after the repair. I dont think my car has been that clean since I bought it in 2008! I cannot praise them enough. Thank you Will and Total Recon for excellent work and customer service. If I ever need more work, I will definitely bring back to Total Recon.

Could not more highly recommend this shop for repairs and detailing. Got a dent + scratches on a metal fender crease that required a few hours work to fix and paint. Its now as good as new under close inspection. Im posting this review after 9 months, and the paint job has held up phenomenally even with the car being outside through a few seasons. Absolutely stellar work and service!

Unsolicited review after having my 2007 Chevy Suburban completely detailed by Total Recon Auto Center in Rockville this week.... Just got the truck back and I literally had to do a double and triple take because the vehicle was so clean. Almost didnt recognize my own truck. The exterior is black and had picked up tons of nicks and scratches and abrasions from parking scuffs over the years. Total Recons detailing made the truck about 8 years younger, and if I were to sell it today, I would likely get $3000 more for the truck than I would have prior to the detail.....no exaggeration! The exterior was sensationally done, but the thing that blew me away the most was how immaculate they got the interior, which is the factory light grey with grey leather seats. From the headliner with caked on dirt and oils and grease here and there to the foot wells and everywhere in between these guys returned this truck to nearly new condition, nothing short of a miracle in my mind. They even shampooed in between the split down fold back seats and got all the dirt and stains out of the fabric there which I was never able to remove myself even after scrubbing with a brush and using Resolve carpet cleaner.....Whatever their secret sauce is to get the interior so clean, Ill be sure to get some more of that done by them for my other vehicles when needed. This everyday-driver Suburban (200k miles) had all kinds of coffee and food stains, soil in the carpet, scuff marks on the headliner----you name it------but all that stuff is GONE!! Ill get a photo and post it later, but aside from the new engine I installed a couple years ago, this was the best investment we have made in this truck which we expect to keep at least another 3-4 years! Thanks to Will and his team---and of course, their awesome English bulldog mascot, 4-month old Figaro! We couldnt be more pleased with the results, thanks again guys. Youll be hearing from me again with other cars in the near future!!

They kept me in the loop as to the progress of having my insurance company approve the estimate. They clearly were advocating for a high-quality repair on my behalf. They were successful in getting my insurance company to approve the repair in full.When I picked up the car, I was pleased to see that the entire car had been washed & waxed and the interior vacuumed. This was a first for me. My experience with other body shops has been that the repaired area is nice and clean & shiny, while the rest of the vehicle has a buildup of dust from the body shop. Presenting a clean & waxed car to the customer at pickup is full disclosure on the part of the body shop, as it will reveal any paint mismatches. The freshly painted area matched perfectly! In fact my son pointed out that newly painted panel had a near flawless finish with no orange peel whereas the factory paint had a tiny bit of orange peel.And heres the bonus: my car had developed a tiny squeak when going over speed bumps. Annoying but I was living with it. After the repair, the squeak is gone!Excellent work by Total Recon.

Very impressed with my experience at Total Recon. I found them on Yelp after researching various body shops around the DMV area to fix the damage on my front bumper from two hit-and-run incidents while parking (one of which was an active insurance claim). Total Recon had asked me to bring the car in, and the claim terms. After looking at the damage, they said that the most reasonable thing to do was to use the active claim to replace the front bumper, which would cover the damages from both incidents. This meant I only needed to pay $250 (deductible) rather than >=$500 out-of-pocket for the entire job. Total Recon also provided me with a loaner vehicle, and took care of negotiating with the insurance company to cover everything. The entire experience was very hassle-free.When I picked up my car, they also mentioned that, upon inspecting underneath the bumper, the shock absorber also needed replacement. They took care of all that with the insurance company. The repaint was incredible; better than factory-grade. And the inside and outside of my car was immaculately cleaned back to factory grade.

I originally came to Total Recon to have my 2006 Porsche Cayenne detailed ($250 detail) to remove all the micro-scratches/swirl marks that covered the 11 year old black vehicle. I really couldnt believe that it turned out looking like a brand new car again! Then a week later, my wife collided with a concrete pillar in a parking garage while she was backing out of a parking spot. I researched auto repair shops based on Yelp, Google, and Angies List reviews. Two shops rose to the top: it was Total Recon and a body shop in Bethesda (purposely not naming the company). I visited the body shop in Bethesda for an estimate (they were also recommended by my insurance company USAA), but I was less than impressed. I couldnt find a parking spot due to a poor location, the place seemed dumpy, and all the cars were sandwiched within inches of each other. Additionally, I had to make an appointment to get an estimate later that week while Total Recon did it on the spot within 20 minutes. I decided to go with Total Recon. A great decision! They repaired my wifes accident, and took care of some other aesthetic issues that were on my to-do-list. The repairs were what I thought they would cost, Cory and Will were very professional, and most importantly, the vehicle looks better than it ever has. A nice touch was a complementary loaner car while I waited for my vehicle - that took me by surprise when they had a nice SUV for me with no hassles. The whole experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend Total Recon for detailing and auto body repairs. I would like to complete my review with saying that Cory and Will really took great care of me. A majority of my interactions were with Cory so I would like to relay a special thanks to him for his caring demeanor, responsiveness, and true professionalism.

The reviews are true. Take your car here! My car was rear ended so I took my car here for body work with a check from the other partys insurance company. The bumper was falling off. I called Thursday to tell them I would be taking my car there the next day and they were super nice.I dropped it off Friday morning. I arrived around 7:40, even though they open at 8, because I had to work early and I needed a ride to the bus stop. Someone was there early and got me to the bus station before 8! Way better than I could have expected.They called with an update Friday afternoon and they called me Saturday to tell me it was ready to pick up! They did a base detail on my car and it was so shiny it was unrecognizable. There also had been a key scratch on my car and they made it almost invisible! They even cleaned the inside which I had previously though impossible because of the mess I had in my car.Super nice and courteous people, excellent service, and great work. Id love to go back for a full detail on another car of mine.

I took my car in for a signature detail. My car is a 2007 and had been neglected for many years and needed some serious TLC. They not only did an absolutely amazing job restoring my car to almost new condition they also took care of a few other things that I asked them to see if they could fix and they did it for no extra charge. 100% Take your vehicle. I swiped a column on my 2016 F-150 fairly bad, one spot was completely down to the metal. In less than a week they fixed the scratches and removed a dent for me. My vehicle looks brand new. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. From Sean helping me with the initial quote, which was a better price than two other MOCO shops, to Alfonso to scheduling and getting the truck finished these guys have been top-notch. Highly recommend Total Recon!

Backing my new Honda FIT out of my driveway I clipped our big paper recycling bin with my left side mirror. Recycle bin 1, side mirror 0. 😟The mirror glass, still in its protective tortoise shell, was intact but left dangling, connected to my car only by the thick electrical cable running through it into the mounting base on the door. A call to my car dealer gave me the cost of the damage. The old mirror, though itself undamaged, would be junked. A new mirror and mount unit would cost $550 installed.I could have called my auto insurance company and had it covered, minus my deductible, but junking a mirror which would have been fine if remounted was against my nature.Honda verified that their dealers would not agree to remount a damaged unit, even if I could find a way to buy the broken component.Just by luck I called Total Recon and explained the problem. Carlos told me to bring it in and they would see what could be done. The guys there were friendly and welcoming as they huddled around my little car and came up with a plan. In less than an hour, while I had coffee in their spacious, clean, relaxing showroom, the team had neatly epoxied the mirror onto its mount. The charge was $50. Its now a month later and their repair is still perfect! How many businesses come through like this for their customers?I would give them 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 if I could! Great job! The place did excellent work. I start to the time schedule that the indicated. Offer to take me to Town center to wait. Wi-Fi was acceptable. Coffee was good and free.

On 08/18/16 I brought my SUV in to Total Recon for the Signature Detail based on the numerous wonderful reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, I did not have near the same experience as others. Upon picking up my SUV, I noticed the finish on the hood lettering had been buffed off. Anthony, the manager, apologized and said they would order new letters and have them applied. Two weeks later, I brought my car back to have the letters repaired. They removed the damaged letters with a razor knife and scratched the hood of the car through the clear coat. Not only that, the new letters were applied crooked. Again Anthony embarrassingly apologized and took my SUV back to the shop to see if they could get the scratches out, they could not and he said the entire hood would have to be repainted! I asked to speak to the owner; Anthony called Bobby. Bobby was incredibly rude and his only solution to the situation was Total Recon would repaint the entire hood of the car. I explained how foolish that would be of me to entrust Total Recon to repaint the entire hood of my car when they had already damaged the car twice, claiming each time they would “fix” it. Bobby said if I wasn’t willing to let Total Recon repaint the hood, there was nothing else he would do. I told him I needed to see what other options I had to repair the damage Total Recon had caused after what was to be a simple detail.I came back to Bobby with a reasonable estimate, from another body shop I trusted, to repaint the hood of my Range Rover and the cost of a basic rental car I would need while the work was being done. He refused to pay anything; I did not even receive a refund for the amount of the detail that they royally messed up.To date I am out hundreds of dollars for what was to be a straightforward detail of my SUV. This seems to be a business when things go right they willingly accept the praise, but when things go wrong they will not do anything to correct it.

Came back for a basic conditioning after they did a great job with my old car. Website states the basic conditioning is best for newer cars, and they did a great job with my not-so-new but well loved car. The wash was was perfect and they added a coat of wax. They did a good job vacuuming every corner of the interior and even my trunk. They also did a great job wiping down each panel and dash, it was close to their interior detailing work. Website states 1.5 hours, when I scheduled the treatment they stated 1-2 hours (it was the day after Christmas), but it took almost 2.5 hours. Ready to pay, the guy shook my hand and said it was on the house. Had to tip the guys and hopefully I left enough. Might have to buy them lunch or something in the future.The waiting room is solid. Bunch of chairs, an aquarium, coffee, Wi-Fi, and a newish TV.Still recommend the interior conditioning. Last time it made my old car feel like brand new! They got pretty much every speck of dust and the leather looked beautiful. They also collected everything from under my seats and put it in a bag. Some of that stuff I hadnt seen in years. Plus now they give a $25 discount on smaller cars (2 doors) for the interior conditioning treatment.Overall definitely a place I would go to many times over in the future.

Will has taken care of us numerous times, from superb detailing, beautiful custom paint of the cars roof, to fixing accident damage. The car always looks better than new when we get it back.

The mechanics at the Exxon in Aspen Hill recommended I go to Total Recon to take care of some scratches I had on my bumper and Im so glad I did. The employees at Total Recon were extremely prompt and called me the same day I made an appointment online. Not only that, they were very kind and courteous throughout the entire process, they even gave me a ride to rental enterprise when the driver for the car rentals never showed up to get me. I was blown away when I got my car back, it looked brand new! They even went so far as to cover up a small dent for me that wasnt related to what they were working on. Since Im a first time customer, It was such a nice surprise to see that they had cleaned the interior and exterior of my car. I couldnt be more happy with the work they did and ill definitely be coming back in the future.

This place does a good body job and I would probably give them three four stars for that, but I wouldnt give a single star if you need other things fixed/replaced like active headlights which requires skilled mechanic to replace and are very expensive. I dont think their mechanics are properly trained. Mine was installed incorrectly and burned the bottom of the bulb housing and now its shaking every time I go over the bump or driving over rough surface at night. There is no way to fix it other than replacing it at this point, and its over $1100. I was told that it was installed correctly and tested on the wall lol. Well, you cant test it on the wall unless you driving to the wall, it is active headlight and only gets activated at around 10 mph. Besides incorrectly installed headlight, I had to come back several times to get windshield fro haze that was not cleaned after it was painted, then roof lining reinstalled, then sun visor reinstalled, etc.. I dont think one should return for such things and it was probably my fault not inspecting it thoroughly when the car was handed back to me, but on the other hand you cant see those things right away. I guess it was my experience with them and it wont be the case with others, but Im yet to hear back from them about $270 that I was suppose to get reimbursed for my headlight bulb reinstallation at the dealer. Thats fine, they probably cant afford to reimburse their mistakes. Make sure you check EVERYTHING when getting your car back!

Believe the hype on the web! I had a Infinity G35 which was sitting in a mechanics parking lot for two years with melted duct-tape all over the sunroof and windows detailed at Total Recon Auto Center. Talk about value and craftsmanship, I was worried they would not be able to remove all the tape residue and my wife was worried that the price was too steep for a detail-job. But once the service was completed... Car Show Ready! Needless to say we both are very satisfied customers. Get off the fence already make your appointment. No regrets here!

On 8/11/17 8:00am I bought the $250 Signature detail package for my 2015 Mustang GT.When I returned that afternoon at 4:00pm to pay for the job I discovered that;-The pedals were untouched (caked in dirt and mud).-The dash silver highlights, knobs, switches, were all covered in dried soap.-The stick shift had been untouched (still covered in skin residue).-The cup holders still had residue from previous drinks.Will Brumby who had been very courteous! (gave me a ride after I dropped of my car to my workplace nearby) and who had over seen my business came out and inspected my car. He confirmed my complaints and took the car back to fix them. 20 minutes later he returned my car with the pedals sparkly clean, but the shifter and dash items hadnt been touched... At this point I decided to cut my losses and just go home. I re-positioned my seat and mirrors and as I was squaring everything away I noticed that there was an entire quarter of my back seat that hadnt been cleaned! It was still so dusty that there was a significant residue buildup on my fingers when I ran them along the back interior. Again Will came to validate my claim and upon verification he courteously appolagised. He offered me to come in for a free quick fix detailing in two weeks when the car would be dirty again, I agreed and left.On the way home I noticed that a remote that controls the position of my front license plate was missing. It was already after 5:00pm on a Friday so I let the matter rest for the weekend and called them up on Monday 8/14/17 the following week. Needless to say my remote was nowhere to be found at their garage. It was at this point I had lost all confidence in their professionalism and ability to properly detail my car again without it coming back with another issue. I called up Will saying I changed my mind about getting the make up detail and asked for a refund instead. Will refused to refund me a penny for the botched $250 detailing, wished me a pleasant day and hung up.Their nice people at Total Recon, but their work ethic is terrible, incompetent, and borderline fraudulent.BEWARE!

Will never take my car there ever again. Body shop and staff cant be trusted with your car as they dont believe in protecting customer safety. They lost all my factory fasteners and replaced them with cheap body shop knock-offs. They cut electrical cables when they cant properly disconnect them from the housing, and they dont verify if the car is safe for the road as I experienced when my wheels came off while i was driving. Worse part is they dont accept blame for problems they caused.

Contacted Total Recon to inquire about getting my project car painted. The car currently sits as a shell and requires total color change including painting the engine bay. My Initial email was never responded to and yet when I called and spoke with someone I was directed to email them photos and a description of the car again to receive a proper quote.After another two emails I finally received a response. The contents of which were not a quote at all but merely a quick guestimation on pricing. It was obvious that they barely read my emails nor looked at any of the pictures I sent them.It seems that this shop does enough business working on collision repair that they did not care for mine.

High quality work and the office staff is personable

In December 2014, I took my Ford Mustang in for a PDR (paintless dent repair) and full detail. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and kind. They took a dent that should of been body work and were able to repair it using a PDR technique (good thing/costs less). It looks better than ever before. They cleaned the $hit out of my car, it looks like brand new vehicle, even the engine compartment was shined and deeply cleaned. The shop is very modern looking and very clean inside. Its definitely a professional setting. I would recommend anyone to this place! Its worth the price to get your car cleaned. Typically, you drop it off around 8am and they take all day deeply cleaning the car. After my Mustang was detailed, I then took my Ford Fusion to get detailed too. I havent seen the car look that good since we rolled off the dealership when it was brand new. Thank you Total Recon!

Total Recon is Amazing! Imperial Auto Body recommended them for some dentless repairs and detailing, and they are amazing! Bobby, the owner, was just great, and made the vehicle look amazing. I used them casue I was gonna sell this vehicle, and Imperial told me that if I just spend a little on getting some dentless repair and a full detail done, I got a 20% higher offer after using them. They made the car look like it came off the show room floor.

Total Recon is fantastic. I cant tell you how pleased I am with the job they did. My wife was in an accident 6 months ago and our insurance provider advised us not to file a claim because our insurance rates would skyrocket. When we became sick of driving around in a dented 2009 Mazda 3, we decided to get it fixed out-of-pocket. After reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews for Total Recon on Yelp, I called to get a quote. Bobby told me to bring it in so he could have a look and assured me that it would be taken care of, no problem.Total Recon isnt your average body shop. The building, inside and out, is very clean and modern. Bobby greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and after offering me a coffee, took me outside to inspect the damage. He informed me that even though some time had passed since the accident, we could still file a claim and the insurance premium would not rise. I felt instantly that he was looking out for me and wasnt going to let the insurance company pull the wool over my eyes. After the inspection, he offered me two quotes. The first was out-of-pocket with my wallet in mind which included aftermarket parts, and was very reasonable. Then he explained that filing a claim would allow Total Recon to do what they do best, and the deductible for the claim was just slightly more expensive then the out-of-pocket cost. He told me Total Recon prefers to install OEM parts to make the cars look as if they had just rolled off of the assembly line. I called and filed a claim and gave the claim number to Bobby and he took care of the rest. It was that simple.James at Total Recon kept me posted as to when the car would be completed, and was just as friendly as Bobby. Total Recon has an outstanding team of experienced and customer service-minded professionals. One of the car parts required for the job needed to be ordered directly from Mazda, and added a few days to the completion date. Even though this was not Bobby and James fault, they detailed the Mazda for free to apologize for the inconvenience. I was blown away that they would do this for us.I couldnt believe my eyes when I came to pick up the car. For a moment I thought they had just bought us a new Mazda 3. The car had a shine suitable for a showroom floor. The front end of the car looked incredible, really masterful work. We have a dog that rides with us in the backseat and you could assume weve never let our hound in the car from the detailing of the interior. And that new car smell! If I could afford to have my vehicles detailed at Total Recon every few months, I would. Their work was really something to behold. Marvelous.If you are someone who is generally suspicious of people in the automotive repair industry, please do yourself a favor and call Total Recon. They were as concerned with my happiness as they were with automotive reconstruction artistry excellence. Bobby was right, our insurance costs have not budged since filing a claim. I fully recommend them to everyone and will be bringing my Xterra by to have them take a look at it.

I was recommended to Total Recon by the Collison repair shop around the corner that I use, Imperial Auto Body, for a recommendation to get an AMAZING DETAIL done on my Porsche. They did a fantastic job, and they also had loaners I could rent from them at a great rate so I didnt need to have the Hassel of renting a car at another location, jumping from one location to the next. Thank you Imperial Auto Body for the great recommendation, I trust Imperial, they are a great family buisness, and Total Recon has the same standards, just a great family buianess. For an amazing detail I recommend to anyone to go to Total Recon, they made my Porsche feel and smell like I just bought it brand new. I have been using Total Recon Auto Salon for about 3 years now, for 3 vehicles. One of them is a 20 year old Mazda Miata convertible that was bought used and not very well cared for. I was not sure how good they could make it look, but thought I would give it a try. WOW! I was so impressed. The paint was shiny, the tires gleemed, the steering wheel was smooth, the carpets and seats clean, and it smelled so good.Since then, I have added two vehicles (both 8-10 years old) about twice a year for complete detail, and intermittenly just to take care of small things, like foggy headlamps, chipped door handles, etc. I love having cars that look and smell so well cared for, and that I can take pride in driving. But that is not the only reason I use Total Recon. Bobby, James, Will, Greg and all the staff are Consistenly friendly, professional, courteous, and fair in their pricing. They take pride in their products and service and I refer them to everyone I know that has a car :-). If you are thinking about getting a decent Car Wash, give a complete detail a try. So worth the money!!! Not only will you love the result, but once your car looks like new, you will always want and be able to keep it that way.

Wow! I did not know it was supposed to be like this. I was involved in a collision in Rockville with my Lexus GS350. My insurance company Allstate, referred to me their preferred shop. Well Ive been around the block one too many times to fall for that trick. My last accident I took it to Allstate preferred shop and I left with self esteem issues and a car with two shades of white that kept falling apart. I called them to complain but soon realized it was the insurance company they wanted to keep happy, and not me. Well this time I googled body shop in Rockville and found a number of listings. Then I read reviews, called a few, and went in to Total Recon because I read their stellar reviews on Yelp and could not believe the consistency in amazing customers. I spoke with Bobby and found him professional, knowledgeable yet very down to earth. He explained to me how they are an independent shop and work for the customer and not the insurance company. I just got a good sense and left my car there and enterprise came and picked me up. Bobby called me the next day and said Allstates estimate was too low and called for cheap aftermarket parts. He said he would make Allstate pay for original Lexus parts and pay for proper repair procedures. True to his word I got my car back a week later (3 days earlier than promised) looking like new...better then new. They even detailed the car from top to the bottom which I was not expecting. If your involved in an accident, take your car to Total Recon in Rockville but definitely not where your insurance company tells you. Best body shop in Rockville.

Brought two cars over there this week. They did an extraordinary job and the result is amazing: we used the cars for two years and a half, with three young kids eating and spilling on the seats but they look like new today!

Bought a BASE DETAIL PACKAGE ON GOOGLE OFFERS. After waiting in the lobby for 45 mins was told that it went into the shop and will be done in an hour. Me and my left and came back after 4 hours. My wife went inside to pay for the job and I was walking around inspecting the car. Just by initial looks it was clear to me that they had not done anything to the car. The WHEELS WERE DIRTY. It was raining that day and it seemed like they had not even washed my car. Just left if out and let nature do it job. It sure was anything but detailed. I then opened the car and noticed that they had not vacuumed my car. I lifted the mats and noticed that there was dirt below. Next I opened the trunk. Found dirt. At this point I realized that they had not done cleaned my car. Not even vacuumed it properly, forget about detailing . My wife comes back and tells me she paid . I pointed out the issues to her and asked her what all was supposed to have been done. The description of the package clearly mentioned that the interior needs to be vacuumed. Outside needs to be waxed. Nothing was done as promised. I asked the owner / person sitting at the reception. He comes and checked. Says if I need inside to be detailed I need to PURCHASE AN UPGRADE. I was like, I dont need an upgrade but need the inside vacuumed as expected. They did a worse job that my $20 gas station cleaners. At the gas station they do a far better job that what I was seeing here. After showing him all the issues, he says my base package does not cover it and started getting loud. Said that I need to either buy the upgrade or get out of his shop. After his threats and cusses I called the cops. YES, I called the cops ( non - emergency of course). But was the threatening, cussing attitude of the person which made me do it. Even after we called the cops and were standing out, he called his shop workers and was discussing the issue with them loudly referring to us as f***ing losers. One of his shop workers walked up to my car to inspect our concerns but he told that person to stay away. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY WHOLE LIFE. PUTTING A REQUEST WITH GOOGLE OFFERS FOR A REFUND. Lets see how that goes but stay away from this service. They will make you buy upgrades. But even without upgrades and paying $44 for my Google offer it was still not worth it. Like I mentioned, the cleaning service on germantown road does a far better job anyday.
