That used to be my first option to go for auto repair but seems like now the dont have enough time for me or they dont care about any one else time, i called them they dont receive calls once they receive call they dont have time to fix your car in reasonable time they ask you to wait for a week, like if You have any problems they want you to let it get bigger so they can charge more money, they dont values someones else time, and if you go to another shop the warranties wont cover. thats scam to earn money. Its simple if cant handle the flow dont sale to much cars or get more technicians to give satisfied services. For me that was last time i bought a car from Cortese. I will prefer any brand or dealership that values my time over this creepy place.
Pros: Fixed my car (eventually)Cons: Took two visits and a third party mechanic’s report to convince the service manager that my concerns were valid.I purchased a used Jeep from the dealership, and immediately noticed a loud honk noise from the brakes when slowing to a stop. They had installed new brakes prior to the sale, so I took it back to have them looked at. The service manager I worked with, Mike, said it was likely brake dust and had the pads cleaned, but the car still made the same noise. I took it to a third party mechanic, who also cleaned the pads, and said the brakes were safe but suggested replacing them because something just wasn’t right. I took the third party diagnosis back to Cortese and Mike, before even touching my car, said this was because I didn’t drive the car enough for the brake dust to wear off. I had driven it roughly 100 mi/week since the purchase only six weeks prior, and had the pads cleaned twice, so this made little sense to me. He called me later in the day and insisted this was the reason, noting that he sometimes sees this with cars that sit for weeks at a time even after I informed him I drive a daily commute. Just before I come to pick up my car, Mike calls to let me know he reached the brake manufacturer and they had received multiple complaints from that batch of parts and will be sending new ones. About two weeks later, I got a call that the parts were in and they were quickly installed in my car. Now the brakes are silent.I am happy with the work that was done in my vehicle but not happy with how I was treated by the service representative, who was dismissive of my legitimate concerns multiple times. I’m not sure if it was my bright colored car, my gender, my lack of technical car knowledge, or the service manager’s lack of customer service skills - but I can easily say I will take my vehicle to another mechanic shop who will respect my concerns in the future.
They never received my calls, they are always busy on another call. Leaving message still wont do anything because I guess they dont have enough time to hear that either and I never get any call me back.
I always get good service there! Its better than Dodge Marina in Webster....
I was disappointed that when I chose the vehicle I wanted, instead of the staff just telling me the van wasnt for lease but for sale only - they kept running back to the manager with bs stories. We wound up walking out and went down the street to give them our business, drove off the lot same day. Sorry Cortese .
The owner and staff are all wonderful people. I’ve bought many, many cars here, and would never shop elsewhere. The professionalism goes way beyond my expectations.
Brought my Jeep in for a noise it was making on the back wheel and Jordan took care of me and was very communicative during the drop off repair. A bracket had to be ordered and he let me know when the part would be in, and it was in exactly when he said and the job completed soon thereafter. Hector picked me up in the shuttle at work and brought me to pick up my car, which was ready and brought up by a technician. A very quick turnaround on service and it was a great first experience for me with Cortese Service.
A very pleasant experience, they work with us to get a car that would fit well within our budget but also one we loved, Burt Lyon was the man who help us. He stayed wit us for 8 hours total staying way past his normal working time to get us a good deal, An over all good but very long experience.
I went there for a warranty issue with my 2015 Dart and they didnt fix the problem. I took the mechanic on a test drive and showed him exactly the problem. He said well the brakes looked fine. They dont care about your safety. I then took my car in for inspection somewhere else to find that they left a wheel stud off the rear of my car. I was driving around with a missing wheel stud for a month. I wouldnt think I have to check that myself but I guess I was wrong.
Definitely not the cheapest but the service department has never done us wrong. Its really the only place well go unless were doing the work ourselves.
Ripoff artists! Left my parents car at other side of parking lot today. 75 year old mother had to walk over ice after waiting in their freezing cold waiting room for 2 hours while they supposedly fixed leaking transmission fluid and a leak in tire. Mom brought car for oil change. Thentold it needed $500 in repairs! HA! Told she would have to replace a tail light for $200! Which works fine. Disgusting how they took advantage of her. Shame on them!
Stopped here to have some service work done on the Jeep. I would recommend, they were able to activate my Day Time Running lights, when another dealership said they couldnt do it.
We never recieved a rental and called constantly for updates. Other than that the car seems to be ok now.
I would really give them half a star at this point.I took my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude on a Monday morning (I had made an appointment and reserved a rental from them). I was having a whining noise whose pitch coincided with the speed of the car. I had multiple videos of this. Additionally my check engine light and service transmission warning had come on the previous Friday. I live 45 minutes from this dealer, no other Jeep dealer had a rental available near me. Dropped the car off, showed my Service Leader or whatever his title is Nick the videos, took my loaner and left. 4-5 hours later, they call and say they cant get the issue to replicate (I hadnt driven the car over the last 3 days where it WOULDNT make that noise). I took a tech on a test drive, still wouldnt replicate. Took my Jeep, drove most of the way home same issues came back, transmission was essentially stuck in 5th gear so I brought it right back. Tech was familiar with the issue, got my rental back and left. Call from Nick the next morning, he explains the issue (essentially the transmission needed a valve and sensor) and that he would order the parts should be 1-2 days. Call tonight (thursday, 2 days) and find out the parts havent arrived and that MAYBE they will be there Monday. Car MIGHT be available Monday or Tuesday, 7 to 8 days from initial drop off. My extended warranty will cover repairs but only covers $30 a day for up to 6 days for a rental. I call the service manager, Matt, with my concern. I explain that Im concerned that I have to pay for my rental out of pocket up front and can only get reimbursed for $30 a day for up to 6 days. He chuckles and tells me that $10 is a pretty good deal for a rental and doesnt understand my concern. He also cannot tell me whether or not the parts needed are hard to come by or were just out of stock. He offers me no resolution, essentially leaving me where I started, frustrated and on the hook for a rental while they sit on their hands and offer me excuses.Clearly more interested in my money than my satisfaction as a customer. NEVER AGAIN.I will be contacting Chrysler as well.
Stopped in to see if they could replace a turn signal bulb. They took my keys and told me 30-45 mins.I told them I was in town to pick up my daughter from college, and was leaving for a 9hr drive home asap. 50 mins later I asked for someone to check on the progress and was told I need the whole assembly and they didnt have one. How long would I have waited if I didnt ask? How could it take that long to see if you have the part? Never again
Didnt answer my calls about a part
When I first walked in with my fiancé, no one was available to help us. We had to wander around the dealership looking for someone to help us. When we finally did find the someone they had no idea who it was that had the appointment. After searching, they finally found the right salesman, Robert Harmor. I was very put off when he greeted and shook my fiances hand and didnt so much as acknowledge me. Yes, ok, Im not the one buying the vehicle, but its common courtesy and human decency to acknowledge all people in a party that come in. To top it all off he reeked of cigarettes. Very unprofessional. I am very displeased with my experience here and would not recommend to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.
It was terrible service experience last week I went there. The promised me to get it done by certain time and after that nobody called me. I was charged more than I used to be, and no one gave me an explanation. I will never go back again.
They didnt have a part I needed, but were very helpful.
