I have a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo which needed to be transported to a specialty garage for repairs. Being an unusual vehicle, I was pretty nervous about the whole process, but the garage strongly recommended Action Towing and Service. Im glad they did. Extreme care was taken assessing the best way to get my car up to, then onto the flatbed. All tie-downs were done to my satisfaction, and my car arrived at the garage in perfect condition.I wouldnt hesitate to use Action Towing and Service if I need to have any of my cars transported in the future and would recommend them to anyone who needs a car of any type towed.Thanks for the excellent service!

I had two experiences in one day and I must say neither were a disappointment. The first guy Bandon was very prompt and helpful in explaining the diagnostic test. He even called a tow when he figured out my issue was with my alternator. My tow truck driver Mario was amazing as well. Both friendly and quick to put me at ease.

The gentleman that changed my tired tipped the rim face down onto the concrete and scratched the hell out of my 19” Aluminum Honda Factory rim that costs over $600 to replace. I tried to file a damage claim and they completely denied doing and had the nerve to tell AAA I was lying and that the damage was already there. SO my LEASE now has a damaged wheel thanks to ACTION TOWING which I will have to pay for when I turn it in to Honda. SO if you have the same problem be sure to MAKE A BIG DEAL OF IT WHILE HE IS THERE BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY. Will NEVER use again and will NOT recommend to MY customers.

I first met Mario from action towing when he answered our AAA call. I had driven to Rochester from Buffalo and 10 minutes from my destination my car started making a crazy sound. I asked him if he could tell me if he thought the car could make the trip back to Buffalo or if I had to have it fixed right away. He took a look at the car, spotted the problem right away and helped me get it into his shop because the first two shops I called were 8 days out. I can’t say enough how helpful and kind he was. Sean at Action towing and service said they were really backed up but would get it looked at first thing in the morning. We luckily could stay at the friends house I was at over night. They looked at the car the next day, luckily had the part and we were back on the road to Buffalo by 5:00. They were amazing and I can’t recommend them enough!

Excellent service. I couldn’t get my trunk to close (latch problems) and didn’t know what to do with the possibility of leaving my trunk open overnight. Thankfully, Dequan showed up - in a very timely manner - and managed to get the trunk closed after attempting a myriad of methods. I cannot stress enough how much effort and creativity Dequan put into getting that trunk to close, and how friendly and professional he was the whole way through. I’ve had AAA for years, and although I’ve always received good service, Dequan and action towing and service really did go above and beyond.

Broke down on I-90 and Michael came out and picked me up. He was super nice and professional. Brought me back to the shop and helped me find a decent hotel to stay for the night. In addition he let me grab my bicycle, hooked it up on the truck bed, brought me to the hotel and even suggested a few places I could ride my bike around town.My car was serviced at Action Towing the next day and the people at the counter were just as nice as Michael and made sure that I was happy with the service and that everything was done correctly the first time.Being on a 3000+ mile road trip in 22 year old Toyota 4-Runner, I was ecstatic they paid such close attention. I was able to continue the rest of my journey and make it home safely without any other issues. On Thursday 3/11/21, at 1:20pm, my car was picked up by Action Towing of Rochester. I asked them to tow my vehicle to Bob Johnson Buick GMC at 4389 W Ridge Road, Rochester NY, 14626. My car was to be serviced at this location on 3/12/21. On 3/13/21, I called the dealership for an update on my car, and they told me they didn’t have it, and it was not delivered by Action Towing of Rochester. I called Action Towing of Rochester and they confirmed to me the car was delivered to 4389 W Ridge Road. I called Bob Johnson Buick GMC back to tell them this, they confirmed the car wasn’t there, and they would call other Bob Johnson dealerships for me to find my vehicle. 45 minutes later, I received a call that my vehicle was located at Websmart at 5049 West Ridge Road, Spencerport New York, 14559. Completely different dealership, completely different zip code. When I called Action Towing of Rochester back, I asked for a manager, I was told there was no manager working. I explained the situation and that my car had been missing for three days, and I was told the drivers just take the cars where the GPS tells them too. I asked the receptionist why they didn’t confirm they were at the right dealership and she said she didn’t know, she didn’t know how the drivers were trained. I asked why my car wasn’t checked in for service, she said she didn’t know. I explained that my car had been missing for three days and it was there fault and she didn’t even apologize. I asked if she would talk to the driver that did this and she said yes, but she didn’t even ask for any identifying information from me so she knew which driver to speak to.She didn’t care that if my car was never found it would be on them, and just kept reiterating that the GPS system took the driver to the wrong place.

The guy showed up and had no clue how to jump a hybrid he put the jump pack on said turn key it didnt start he said ok nothing more I can do here and walked off and now its still broke down ..was going to send it to their shop to get fixed but he changed my mind for me

These guys are great. Very prompt. They always try to keep me up to date on whats going on with my car. They remember me whenever I go in. Theyre always friendly and understanding, and seen to try not to sell me anything I dont need. They even talked me down from things I thought I needed, but didnt, which is a rare thing for a mechanics shop.

I had a bad experience twice I called for a jump start they couldnt so they diagnose my car as a starter problem and both time the diagnosed my vehicle wrong they equipment wasnt properly working call son he jump started car right away with jump cables will not use there service again rate them as 1 out of 10

Very professional but they need to get their payment system working. They had to run my card 4 times and call it in to the home office in order for the payment to work. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the card/ account.

My first experience was with their towing service. The guy who towed our car was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Since then weve had 3 repairs done at this shop. They are always very informative, helpful, they give us updates along the way, only have us do the necessary work (versus other shops who like to sell you more than you need), and they always do an amazing job. Customer service is always on point and their dog Buddy is the most relaxed and friendly little mechanic helper ever.

I cannot recommend this service enough. Was stuck in the median on 531 and gave the wrong address on my insurance app by mistake. Called them to explain where I really was and the woman on the phone was really nice, friendly and understanding of the situation. The tow truck came faster then expected and the guy was really nice and talked me through everything! Really thankful for everyone that helped me today!!

My neighbor called when she or her guest got stuck ON MY FRONT LAWN. It remains to be seen how much damage was done to my lawn. Its awful!

They told me they would have a tow truck within an hour and an hour and a half. Waited well over 2 1/2 hours before their arrival. Not even the decency of a courtesy call to let me know that they were running behind. Would never use them again. They obviously don’t think much or care about a stranded passenger.

It was best experience Ive ever had with a Auto repair shop ever, Drove up from Maryland, and the mechanics in MD really did a FU job on my car, and got back here, and car just plain quit! Just started off bad they were chose to tow my carC, called said they would be a hour late and I never heard from them again. My car didn’t get picked up until nearly 4 hours AFTER the call was placed. AAA didn’t even end up charging me for that tow and Inwas 7 months pregnant in the parking lot for almost 3hrs. My car got dropped off here after it wouldn’t start, I had to call twice for a follow-up and both times they never had a real update so I drove up there to talk in person. He told me he was “90 percent” sure my motor was blown but it could be the starter too. Mentioned that about 3 times when I told himI just had that replaced around a year ago. My hood was open at 3:30p in the parking lot, when I drove by at 9:30p it was still open and everything else was closed. They said they hadn’t even pulled my car in the shop to really look at it and they needed a few days to really see if that was it. He told me there was no oil in the car and it had splattered all over. However, When I went to look at the car no oil was splattered anywhere. I had my car towed out of there and taken to somewhere else that could give me a 100 percent sure answer and was honest. I will never trust these guys with any of my vehicles. Never will I have my vehicle towed over there either. Stay away from them.

The most unprofessional towing service I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They blocked my street, refused to pull up when I asked them to move so I could drive down my one way street, and when I asked him to propose a way for me to turn around when cars were behind me, he told me to “find a way.” I then called the office to report his unprofessional behavior and the operator was rude, described the situation from the drivers perspective and didn’t even allow me to speak before saying good bye and hanging up. I will be contacting someone in corporate.

Chris came to tow my car to a service center. He was beyond professional; he was incredibly patient, made me feel at-ease, helped brush the snow off my car, and answered the barrage of my nieces questions. I would gladly call Chris at Action Towing again.

Our first experience with Action Towing and Service was yesterday when our vehicle would not start. Through our AAA membership, a service professional from Action Towing was dispatched to our home. Fred arrived within the specified window, and was super professional and extremely helpful.Unfortunately, in the car biz, people are often taken advantage of due to their circumstances, and necessity for resolution in their car-related issues. Well,.. this is totally NOT the case with Fred and Action Towing team. It was determined that our battery was DRT (dead right there),. and Fred gave us options to choose from. Naturally, we went with his suggestion, and purchased our battery through Action. Within the hour, another Action Towing team member was onsite (Ryan) who was equally amazing, even pumped up a tire that was low on air. Simply put, Action Towing and Service are the BEST!!

My car refuses to start, it is going back in for the 3rd time after they got it to start the last 2 times. The man that came to my house was very rude had no mask on he was coughing all over the place he would not move my car from the driveway he made my friend push it to the road he did not back up his truck Ive never experienced anything like that with the high risk of cove he should have had a mask on and Im hoping the company did something about it cuz I did report him very unprofessional

All i can say is lance in the service dept has a heart of gold and will suggest the best options before taking any money from you or starting any work! Even the towing guy that took my vehicle in gave me some honest suggestion on what i should do before i spoke with lance these guys are awesome!

I came outside to find that someone had called Action Rochester to remove a car from the rode my house is on. The truck blocked me into my drive way so I casually walked over to ask the tow truck operator how long it might take. He proceed to aggressively reply with how ever long it takes. I then informed him that I needed to leave soon and he replied with good for you. Appreciate the conduct.

Last Tuesday, my car would not start leaving me stranded in Raymour and Flanigans parking lot. I called AAA. The response was very timely and the young man (Darren ) was extremely knowledgeable and polite. He addressed the situation immediately and had me on my way. Thank you to your company and two thumbs up to Darren.

We take all our family vehicles here. They are great on time, cost, repairs are done well and you are not overcharged. If you are concerned about parts cost, they do offer the option of bring your own part and they will install it, but their prices are fair and we trust them that we wont be asked to do repairs that arent needed.

Horrible place with rude customer service. Called and scheduled a tow at 2:30pm for 6pm pick up. Was told it would be a one hour window, 8pm and still no tow truck driver. Called to check the status and was hung up on. Will make sure to never use their service again.

I inadvertently left my wallet in my car when I left it at Action Towing to have the battery replaced. I didnt worry though--and, when I picked the car up--I learned I was right not to have worried. Not only was the wallet where I had left it, the $35 in the wallet was still there. Action employees care about their customers, as evinced by the honesty shown in my recent interaction with them.
