I havent gone to this place a few times and I have bought a few things but this time when I went back and basically looking for one particular thing that they didnt have but just to browse and I tell you its nothing like it used to be and Im quite sure thing to change with time but now it almost a waste of time to stop there everything is overpriced something supposed to be news to look like they were used but still had a big price tag on it where I go back to this place again. I dont think so.

I have saved a few thousand dollars here in the past few years. Always inspect the items carefully before buying. Like many other similar stores, their stock contains a lot of damaged and returned items. Parts may be missing - particularly with furniture. If you like to repair things, you can get some really great deals.If there is any remote possibility you may need to return something later - ASK BEFORE BUYING. For just about anything but mattresses and rugs, theyll do a return. Just bring your receipt with the item.

I use to love this place but unfortunately customer service isn’t their strong point. I purchased this tent a few months back because my Husband and I planned on taking my stepson camping. For one this brand is sold EXCLUSIVELY at Walmart and if you look it up on Walmart website it is more than $10 cheaper. So I asked dude if he would price match, he acted like it was a problem but just went with it. Still spent over $160 w taxes. So we go camping a few weeks ago and this tent is BEYOND used. It was missing the media center. The RAIN FLY (important) and had a huge hole that was taped up and not very well. Of course I’m upset but figured they would be reasonable... nope talked to Brandon and he acted like he didn’t care. $160 wasted they seriously got over, paid more to get wayyyyy less than if I would have just purchased it from Walmart. I’m so disappointed in them....

We have scored some awesome deals here on toys for our kids and ourselves. You gotta look and do your research on items, scan barcodes with Amazon or Walmart app to read details and reviews, etc.

Interesting place, something of everything is in there.

False advertising. I went there to purchase something of my interest that was on the advertised FB. When I got there they wanted to charge me $10.00 more. I asked why. Their response was because of the date it came in. can you say BS. you advertised it as $139.00, not by the date it came in. Dont worry my wasted time and trip wont be wasted. Im not not finished. I even left and came back to show them the advertised item and the price. They still refused. Ive been coming and shopping for years at this location today took the case.. I couldnt picture you advertising something for one price which was the badly damaged item fir $139. I asked the sales guy to open the box fir $139 and he did. He immediately removed it from the floor saying that one shouldnt been on the floor. The other box had $149., which didnt seemed to damaged so I asked the cashier to make sure it ring up as $139 and he said no!!! Im done here

This store is like Ollies and Big lots meet Salvage Barn. They have different brands from different stores and they have items from food to clothing,shoes,weight equipment, mattresses, stuff from home just a little bit of everything. Be prepared to search though when you come and dont wear open toe shoes. This staff is very friendly and helpful and if there is a Box you want to see all you have to do is ask and they will open it for you guys. I was not disappointed as I found a 7 Christmas tree for $45 At kohls would have been a $180. Their inventory is constantly changing and if you think you like it I recommend getting it because it may not be there when you return. Update- Have to return the tree...the lights dont work. Gonna try again

Prices arent so great to be a liquidation spot.

This place is a joke. Be careful buying certain things because even though it is in a box does not mean anything, broken 6 out of 10 times, just be careful what you buy. Prices seem to be too high for second rate items.

Still deciding, its interesting - like a high-end thrift store. Bought a Chefman electric kettle there, works, paid $27, normally $30s. Got some partly melted Kind bars - i love those. People help with enthusiasm when asked. Saw an instapot, might go for that.

New stuff every day, great prices, nice people.

Got a great mattress. Thought my frame was full but come to find out it was a queen. They where very helpful and exchanged the mattress, as long as still in plastic and it was... they loaded it on top of my SUV. Helpful employee...

Who knew this place existed! What a great idea! Its a big pile of a dusty mess but what do you want for the prices! I got a high end toaster oven brand new for 1/3 of what I would pay for it in the store. They also have clothing...WOW! Bargain shoppers unite!

Visited today to return two rugs purchased yesterday. I was told rugs are not returnable and there is a handwritten note stating this well below the register, not something I noticed. I am a very frequent customer and have spent many $$ and recognizable to the employees. At no time during our lengthy conversation, helping me get the rugs to the register or the purchase was anything mentioned not returnable but if its your policy then its you policy. But where Openbox RVA really missed the mark with me when they went on to tell me Its a hygiene thing and I wouldnt want to purchase a rug someone has returned Really? Many retailers will accept returned rugs and many items received in Openbox are returned CLEARLY USED or damaged and this is why you have to inspect your purchase carefully before buying. I have gotten some great deals and some duds but today really missed the mark especially with the little mini commentary. MAKE SURE you read ALL of the handwriiten notes at the register before your purchase and inspect your items thoroughly. I wont be back anytime soon maby never

3 stars for the feiendly and helpful staff. Everything is disorganized and very shabbily arranged. Very difficult to see what the boxes items contain as they are all on top of each other. The staff offers help of necessary (there are signs saying call staff when opening box, do not open without them) however sometimes you just want read whats in it and that is not possible. Used to be better before and could be just due to covid. Would visit in a month

I went to look for some mattresses st the suggestion of a friend. An employee (I didnt catch his name) was extremely helpful. I was able to purchase 2 queen mattress sets and they are holding them for me until I come back with a truck up to one week!

There are definitely deals to be had here, but you have to not mind digging through sometimes unmarked boxes and bins to try and find your bargains. Its boiling hot in there in the summer - I understand that its a warehouse space and not running AC lowers overhead, but it definitely makes me want to leave faster and not spend time digging through their stock. You definitely trade convenience for price. As long as youre okay with that, then this is the place for you.

This is a great place to save big on the latest and coolest gadgets, the manager there and the staff are very friendly! You can pretty much get just about anything there! Drones, excercise equipment, TVs, plenty of toys, so much clothing all name brand for up to 80% off! I’m addicted to this place and come every week!

For being a open box store prices were higher than expected

Okay selection of goods, but the prices werent nearly as low as I thought an open box item should be. It could be a fun store to explorer. But what got us out of the store sooner then expected, was the music station playing though out was of an alternative style, which included the DJ discussing musicians puking on stage and the music was quite raunchy, definitely not a store Id bring younger children too.

The proces ridiculous youre better off shopping in the regular store.

I found this store on facebook a few years ago. I really only got one real bargain which was a cookware set for $55 which cost $120 at a retail store. Other then that the electronics are pretty over priced. I understand they are trying to put on as a bargain store or small terms a yard sale but when you have microwaves or mattresses that cost the same as that in a retail store then whats the point of me coming there. I can get the same in a better package, get a discount with an app and possibly have add a warranty for a few dollars more🤷🏿‍♂️

DO NOT SHOP HERE! We bought a bench that required assembly which was fine, however it was missing an entire side in the box. They wont let us return it with no receipt which would be fine if they hadnt sold us an INCOMPLETE item. Its clearly from them and has their writing on the box, but because we tossed the receipt we are out 50 bucks because they dont know how to check their inventory. If we wanted to return it because we didnt like it or something, I would understand them wanting a receipt, but when it is THEIR FAULT, I think and exception should be made. We have made attempts to talk to them and their response is No receipt no return. Never coming back and I will make sure everyone knows never to shop here. What a ripoff! Gonna post this on yelp as well. Oh and they also removed this review and blocked me on Facebook. God forbid they have a bad review. Just shows how poorly they do business.

Not a bad place to get really good deals on clothes, shoes, and household items. Only real gripe is their organization of the place. The larger items are still in boxes; sometimes multiple boxes and are stacked in little sections. Theres no way to know what is in there without opening them sometimes. They do seem to be working on it though, so thats a plus.

Pretty cool concept, but the first thing I bought there was broken, and my buddy bought a different item that also had problems.To their credit, Im guessing they buy stuff in bulk, so there is inevitably going to be occasional problems with some of the merchandise they have for sale. Their return policy is pretty fair, and they very quickly offered me a full refund without any hassle. Ill be back - I think its possible to get some good deals here upon occasion.

Every time I go in the staff is always friendly and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I have even on numerous occasions called and they found items I needed and held for me. When I need something I always check if they have it first and so should you.

False advertisementAsk for an item on phone they said it’s available got there within 30 min and told me it’s sold out in a very rude way at least be nice even though you don’t have what you advertise on top of that their customer service not good at all.If I could I would give zero star for customer service

I have been going to Open Box for over a year never an issue friendly staff Stephanie and the manager over top customer service ... Then over the week end due to holidays they had Theresa the apparel manager working the front . She was very rude not willing to help or assist in any way .. stated if its not on the floor its not there and I was welcome to ride to the other location. I returned an item that was defective she never asked for id ... I have spent several hundred dollars at a time in open box never have been asked for Id ... I spent 13.00 she was going to refuse my sale if I did not find my drivers license . She was over the top very rude and not just to me but to disable vet with questions. To my understanding the other co-worker that was behind the counter was her daughter as she called her mom .Not to mention she coughed all over me without covering her mouth while I was digging for valid id .Open Box should do customer service a favor and replace this individual . If you can be rude to a handicap disabled vet you are an awful person .But you lost his sale . This is the only issue ever, like stated warehouse guys and front end staff over the top .This individual very rude .

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Not only are the bargains and finds spectacular, but the service is personable and top-notch. I dont consider this place a thrift store, but so much more. From the reasonable prices to the dependable return policy, this store is well worth a look! Great place to shop for discounts, as their Facebook page details as to all new items coming in on a daily basis. Get in early as parking lot is limited. Lots of contractors use this place for deals as well. My only issue is, this place needs to organize a bit better and show more items at a display.

Lots of good stuff for awesome prices. On a lot of items all you have to do is look past the broken box. Def a place to go if you wanna spruce up your house and wardrobe.
