This dealership went above and beyond helping us on our road trip mishap with a red-tailed hawk. The hawk busted through the grill of my Highlander and was stuck and we had no idea what to do except to go to the nearest Toyota dealer for help! Dutch Moore was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and Lillie Webb and the entire service department went above and beyond in freeing the bird and calling wildlife control. If this is how they treat a stranger with a wild bird caught in the grill I can’t imagine how they’d treat a regular customer.

Our experience was definitely a 5/5. Lou was a ton of help. He gave it to us straight with no nonsense and answered every question we had. The finance and insurance teams were a lot of help and even got us a good interest rate. Let me start by saying the actual car purchase there was fine (other than they ran my credit even though I did not give permission, as I already had financing set up). I really liked the car I bought there.I did have an issue with the service area. My car “disappeared” after I had already checked out and got my keys. I thought it was stolen. I knew where it was parked, I went out to get it and it was gone. I almost called the police and reported it stolen at that point. Turns out the service department pulled it back in thinking it was a different car? (Even though I had my keys in my hand. Idk how).All that is whatever, I could have let it go. But this last thing here….I decided to lower my payment and trade in the Camry I purchased at Toyota South on something cheaper. I traded it in at a different dealership, and called Toyota South to have my gap insurance cancelled. I was to be refunded the difference of $572. This has been ongoing since May, and all of the calls I am told I will receive back never happen. The last time I spoke with them they said Toyota mailed the check to the dealership instead of me. He will track it down, call me back, and they’ll issue another check from the dealership and I just have to drive to Richmond and pick it up. Still waiting on that call weeks later. I am not exaggerating when I say that I’ve had to call this place no less than a dozen times over the last 3 months, and I’ve received one call back. Where’s my money?Update: it took 4 days after this review to receive my money back. I changed the rating from 1 star to 4 stars, because the issue still did happen, but they did correct it.

So I was really looking forward to test driving a Toyota Camry. When I set up my appointment for today. When I got to the car lot . I was met by a woman who tried to help me.
